    Rumour: Motorola’s Droid Turbo 2 To Launch Next Month

    Twitter is always afloat with rumours about the upcoming gadgets, so obviously one of the many profiles had revealed that the Moto X Force would be launched in the Unites States as the Droid Turbo 2. This phone will apparently go on sale exclusively on Verizon.

    However, new leaks from @upleaks has now provided us with a launch date for the above mentioned device too. The Droid Turbo 2 is expected to be launched sometime in October while the international variant, called the Moto X Force will be launched in December. The International launch is only for China and Europe, as of now.

    So, mark this date on your calender if you’re a Moto X fan, till then, here are a couple of other details we know about the upcoming handset- it could come with a 5.43 inch QHD display, Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB RAM, 32/54GB storage, 21MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, and finally it is expected to be fuelled by a 3,760mAh battery.

    While Google Glass is still away from people, the developers have been trying new ways to use it and enhance its usability. So, the Glass was available to the developers way back and now Google has also started selling out accessories for the wearable device.

    The option in the store are, a visor like protection for the Glass or may be your eye which is priced at $75, also what is listed is an ear-bud for $50 but is not available as it says out of stock. This can be great for developers as these accessories might come handy for them for researches before Google makes Glass Public. However, this step from the company hints the public availability of the Glass soon.

    Wearable tech may signal the next shift in form factors.

    LG G Flex a Curved Smartphone Revealed in Press Render

    After the Samsung Galaxy Round, now its time for LG to bring up its curved Smartphone. LG has been into rumors to bring up a curved display phone, the latest press renders shows the alleged smartphone from LG known as G Flex.

    Samsung has just announced its first curved display phone in Korea, the device has a 5.7 inch Full HD Flexible screen and is priced at around 1000 USD. However, the pricing and specification of the LG G Flex are not out yet, but it is believed that the device will be launched sometime next month. The LG G Flex is a curved phone just like the Galaxy Round, both of them are curved at a fixed position.

    The launch of this phone might get  delayed because LG has its new Nexus just around the corner. According to rumors, the 6 inch LG G Flex will hit the market after the launch of Nexus 5 which is believed to be by the end of this month.

    Yahoo has acquired Bre.ad, a URL shortener, the service has shut down on Friday after the success of the acquisition.

    Bre.ad posted the news on its website, all services related to Bre.ad Social have shut down but all shortened Bread URLs will remain active till November 11. CEO Alan Chan said:

    In Yahoo, we found a company that shares our vision. We are thrilled to join Yahoo’s advertising team in Sunnyvale where we will be working on developing next-generation solutions for social and mobile publishers and advertisers. For the next 30 days, until November 11, we will support Bread links that our publishers created in the past. We highly recommend our publishers swap out their Bread links with new links from bit.ly.

    Yahoo confirms that six engineers and product managers will join its advertising technology team, saying:

    We have acquired Bread, a company that created a simple way for social media influencers and publishers to monetize their content. The team’s focus on delivering creative and targeted advertising across social media, desktop and mobile devices aligns perfectly with our mission to delight and inspire users.”

    The Instagram 4.1 version for iOS users has the ability to straighten photos from a long time now, with today’s update for Android, users can now enjoy the same feature on the smartphones running on Android OS.

    The latest Android application update, which will supposedly hit Google Play store today, brings the photo straightening feature and some more add on benefits as the new update enables sound and data usage controls for the video.

    While you enjoy these additions, one feature of Instagram still remains out of the reach for Android users. Cinema Stabilization is a feature that iOS users have been enjoying from a long time now, but this update does not seem to give Android users a chance to get benefit of it. However, the update is still not active but is expected to hit your devices some time today.

    Japanese carrier NTT Docomo has announced the Sony Z1F, It has a 4.3 inch(720p) Triluminos Display with X-Reality engine and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the device is powered by 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

    The Sony Z1 F has the same 20.7 MP rear camera along with Sony’s G lens and a 27 mm wide angle f/2.0 aperture custom 1/2.3 Sony Exmor RS image sensor, BIONZ image processing engine. The device does full HD recording at 1080p and has a 2 MP front camera. 

    The Z1 F can be considered as the mini version of the Sony’s flagship Z1, but if you consider other same smartphones like the HTC One mini and the Samsung galaxy S4 mini, all these phones have been compromised when it comes to hardware. But, in this case this device has the same of the features that his brig brother introduced to the market, like the phone itself being waterproof, same camera, same processor and alot more. The device weighs 140 grams.

    Google is adding 10 GB of free storage to your Google Drive account when you log into your Google account with the new Google Quickoffice before September 26, 2013. 

    As per Google blog, you can get the new, free Quickoffice app for Android and iOS phones and tablets on Google Play and in the App Store. Simply sign in with your Google Account to start editing Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and presentations on mobile. You will also notice a number of new features, including a refreshed icon, the ability to create .ZIP folders, and view charts in Excel and PowerPoint files.

    As per the blog by Alan Warren(Engineering VP, Google), the free 10 GB will be available for two years and Google has discontinued previous versions of Quickoffice apps from play store as well as app store.
