  • OnePlus Two Pricing Leaked Months Before its Debut

OnePlus Two Pricing Leaked Months Before its Debut

Last month, it was speculated that the OnePlus Two, the successor of the highly victorious OnePlus One, would be arriving on 17th April, this year. But, OnePlus ruled out all the rumors of the temporarily titled OnePlus Two and stated that the much-awaited device will make a debut in the third quarter of this year.

According to MyDrivers.com, the company will be launching an event next month, which could possibly be the launch of the next flagship device. The source also claimed that the device would be priced at approximately 1,999 Yuan (Rs 20,644). This might be true, as its predecessor was priced at Rs. 21,999. In any case, the price of the OnePlus Two is just an approximate figure.

Not much is known about the spec details of the expected OnePlus handset, but we got some notable information that points out to its processing capacity. As per the detail leaked by the company CEO Liu Zuohu, OnePlus Two will run on Snapdragon 810 chipset along with 4GB RAM. A 5.5-inch 2K display will improve the viewing experience of the user.

It is highly possible that the OnePlus Two will run on Cyanogen OS, as the differences between Cyanogen and the Chinese smartphone firm have been settled, and the cases have been withdrawn by mutual approval. The addition of Cyanogen on the next OnePlus device might help drive the sales of the handset.

There is still time for the next OnePlus device to come out. In the mean time, you can watch our review on the OnePlus One:

  • Xiaomi’s Next Flagship Rumoured to Come in Two Variants, Mi 5 And Mi 5 Plus

Xiaomi’s Next Flagship Rumoured to Come in Two Variants, Mi 5 And Mi 5 Plus

A few days ago Xiaomi unveiled its new smartphone, the Mi 4i, at a grand event in New Delhi. One lakh registrations went up and 40,000 units were sold out within 15 seconds. Now, reports from Gizmochina claim two more new devices will be joining the company’s line-up later in June. These devices are larger copies of the Mi 4, expected to be named Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus.

    mi 4i
40,000 units of the Mi 4i went out of stock in 15 seconds.

The claimed specs of the devices were leaked on the Chinese social media site, Weibo. The Mi 5 is touted to have a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. It is believed it will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with either 3GB or 4GB RAM and will be juiced by a 3,000mAh battery. Its camera specification includes a 16MP primary camera. The device will also be infused with fingerprint technology.

Its larger cousin, named as Mi 5 Plus, will feature a 6-inch screen with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal memory and a 16MP primary camera. No details were revealed about its processor, display etc. Xiaomi has yet to reveal the date of release, but reports mention that the two handsets will be out in June.

Knowing Xiaomi’s track of getting “inspired” by everything that Apple does, we won’t be surprised to see the upcoming flagship in two variants.

  • Image of Nexus Device ‘Moto Shamu’ Leaked

Image of Nexus Device ‘Moto Shamu’ Leaked

Earlier today, we got some news about Motorola’s upcoming Nexus device codenamed ‘Shamu’. The reports illustrated that the new Nexus 6 or Nexus X will a super-sized, more powerful version of the Moto X.

The exact name of Google’s next Android flagship isn’t yet clear; some expect it to be called the Nexus 6, others claim it will be known as the Nexus X. The reports also added that it’ll have the same aluminum frame, and the company has apparently relocated the phone’s lock and volume buttons down to make them more reachable. In terms of innards, Motorola has packed a QHD display, a Snapdragon 805 processor, and 3GB of RAM into next Nexus device.

    shamu-possible-710x463

Now, a picture posted on the comment section of Android Police, shows off what is allegedly a massive Motorola handset next to a LG G3. The handset showed in the picture has a Motorola logo and there isn’t any NEXUS labeling on it, unless the logo is super-tiny and under the piece of paper with the words “SHAMU” written on it.

Of course, there’s also the possibility the above photo was somehow faked. Either way, we’d take this whole thing with a grain of salt for now. It is also said that the Android L OS upgrade will debut along with this device. Google is making some major design changes to Android’s look and feel, and introducing significant improvements to multitasking and notifications. The reports added that the device is likely to launch in November, with an unveiling coming next month.

  • Ahead of Official Launch Leaked Video Shows a Working iPhone 6

Ahead of Official Launch Leaked Video Shows a Working iPhone 6

There has been a steady stream of rumors and leaks about new-gen iPhone 6 prior to the launch of the device tomorrow, September 9th. Now, a user of the Chinese social networking website, Weibo, has posted a series of photos and videos of what he claims to be a fully functional iPhone 6.

While there is no way to confirm the authenticity of the video, it seems to be untampered and real. The leaker has also uploaded a brief video demonstrating Touch ID on the device, suggesting the this is a legitimate iPhone 6. Through picture it seems that the device is 4.7 inch version of the new iPhone 6.

    working_iphone_6_5s_home

The look of the device is pretty much the same and in line with previous leaks and rumors. However, this is the first time we have seen the device powered on. There is not much revealed, but we can see a new Passbook icon which features a magnetic credit card at the top, assumingly for the fact you are now going to be able to pay using your iOS devices. Also, the added screen space has allowed the company to add an additional row of icons on the app screen.

Anyhow, there is still lot to see what Apple has in store for us. Apple is expected to launch two iPhones- a 4.7 inch variant and 5.5 inch variant  and company’s first ever wearable, iWatch tomorrow 10 AM PST (10:30 PM IST).

  • iPhone 6 Price Leaked a Week Before Launch

iPhone 6 Price Leaked a Week Before Launch

While techies all over the world are busy keeping tabs on the IFA Berlin 2014, the iPhone 6’s prices have been quietly revealed in a leaked image from Hong Kong. Tech blog TK Tech News has posted an image that shows the alleged prices of the highly anticipated 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 models.

The Apple iPhone 6 with 4.7” display will purportedly cost 6,663 HKD, 7,671 HKD, and 8,679 HKD . The aforementioned prices are for devices with 16, 32, and 64GB of built-in memory respectively. According to the leak listing of prices, the iPhone 6 with 5.5-inch display is unsurprisingly more expensive (it is rumored to have more powerful hardware on board). It is reportedly priced at 7,923 HKD  for a 16GB model, 8,931 HKD  for a 32GB unit, and 9,687 HKD for a device with 64GB of onboard memory.

    iphone 6 price leak

If you convert these purported prices into Indian currency and add the standard import duties, iPhone 6’s 4.7 inch variant will come at the starting price at Rs. 61,900 approx and the 5.5 inch variant may come at starting price of Rs. 71,800. These prices are more than the introductory price of the iPhone 5S, which was launched last year for Rs. 53,500. If this is true, then Apple may lose a large segment of prospective buyers. Especially since unlike other companies in the market, Apple is never the one to drop its prices after launch.

It is said that new iPhones will come with new-gen iOS 8 out-of-the-box. Both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch variants said to feature an iPod touch-inspired design; the Touch ID fingerprint sensor; the new Apple A8 SoC, and the long-awaited NFC connectivity.

Apple is expected to unveil the next iPhone in less than a week, so we won’t have to wait too long for official pricing. In the meantime, take the above numbers with a small pinch of salt.

  • Moto X+1 Press Images Leaked on Twitter

Moto X+1 Press Images Leaked on Twitter

Motorola has quite an impressive line-up to showcase this season. We recently reported that the company is planning to launch 9 devices in next 4 months. Now, the popular leakster Evan Blass, a.k.a. Evleaks has revealed the Moto X +1 through leaked press renders.

The leaked images are supposedly meant for US carrier Verizon. However, the pictures give you a pretty detailed idea of what the device will look like. The first obvious change is the metal band around the sides of the phone, which was revealed in an earlier leak as well.

    moto x+1 leak

The X+1 seems to sport dual camera flashes, a wooden back option, and front-facing speakers like the Moto E. The setup of the camera on the back of the handset is notably a part of the new design.

It appears to drop the typical LED flash for a more elaborate dual setup that includes small flash units on both sides of the sensor. Also, there seems to be a number of sensors on the front, including two below the display. It’s still unclear what they would be useful for.

    motox1_2

The wallpaper in the screen looks like the Motorola’s colourful event invite for the September 5 event in Delhi. It is said it is the same event where we will get to meet the much awaited Moto X+1. Furthermore, the date on the device in the leaked images is given as “Wednesday, September 17”. Maybe it’s a strong hint of the chosen date for when the Moto X+1 would be out for sale.

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Camera Specs Leaked

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Camera Specs Leaked

Just a few days ago, Samsung had it hard when the AnTuTu benchmark screenshot of Galaxy Note 4 was leaked online, just weeks before the release.  Now, SamMobile has uncovered details about the camera for the Galaxy Note 4.

SamMobile reports that the Galaxy Note 4 will apparently feature a 16-megapixel Sony IMX240 camera sensor with optical image stabilization and UHD video recording, and a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera with WQHD video recording. These details seem consistent with the earlier report.

A sensor built into the bottom right side of the handset called Side Touch will also be added in the Galaxy Note 4. The sensor is supposed to replace a dedicated camera button, allowing users to simply tap on the side of the handset to take a picture.

    slidetouch
The Slide touch sensor is supposed to replace a dedicated camera button, allowing users to simply tap on the side of the handset to take a picture.

The device’s front-facing camera will be a 3.7MP unit, capable of capturing images and video in WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels). It represents a noticeable bump in resolution and capabilities.

The Galaxy Note 4 camera app is expected to have a gesture-based shortcut; users would be able to access the app while the handset is off by tapping the screen with two fingers and swiping them apart. Gesture-based functions are becoming increasingly popular on smartphones – we seen the Galaxy S5 include a feature called Air Wake up, which allows users to wave their hand over the screen take it off standby.

The Device is also expected to take a departure from the faux leather back panel.
The Device is also expected to take a departure from the faux leather back panel.

However, the biggest highlight of the Galaxy Note camera will four new camera modes, three of which are dedicated to the art of the selfie: “Selfie” mode, “Wide Selfie,” “Selfie Alarm,” and “Create A GIF File.” Most intriguing of those is Selfie Alarm, which allegedly makes it easier to take selfies with the phone’s superior rear-mounted camera by allowing it to automatically detect your face and snap the photo.

On the hardware side, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4  is rumored to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 or Samsung Exynos 5433 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device may be water and dust resistant, and may also include a fingerprint scanner like the Samsung Galaxy S5. Other features rumored for the Galaxy Note 4 include an iris scanner, an ultraviolet (UV) sensor and the virtual reality (VR) headset called Samsung Gear VR, which would pair with the Galaxy Note 4.

  • New Samsung Galaxy Alpha Image Leaks its Full Specifications

New Samsung Galaxy Alpha Image Leaks its Full Specifications

Last week we saw some raw footage of the metal-clad phone which has been taking rounds on internet since January. Earlier, some pictures of black version of Samsung Galaxy Alpha were also released by Sammobile. The images confirm earlier reports that the Galaxy Alpha will sport a 4.7-inch screen and have a metallic construction.

The phone has been criticized of being another look-alike of Apple’s iPhone. Now, a new leak from TecMundo is giving us a glimpse inside this iFacade. The first leak originates from Brazil, where an anonymous reader sent the image below.

    galaxy-alpha-specifications-brazil-710x304

Since the picture quality makes it hard to read the specs, read them here:

    • 4.7 Super AMOLED Display
    • 12 mega-pixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front camera
    • 2GB of RAM, 32GB of Storage (64GB rumored to be available), No MicroSD
    • 1,860 mAh (marked with a big ole TBD)
    • Fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, nano SIM, USB 3.0, 4G LTE
    • Android 4.4
    galaxy-alpha-leak-white-5
Earlier Leaked Image Of Samsung Galaxy Alpha

The specs listed on the billboard bring no surprises – the leak confirms the Galaxy Alpha’s screen size and resolution, 1,860 mAh battery, as well as the inclusion of a fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor. It’s the second time we hear the Alpha would feature an approx 1850 mAh battery; the relatively small capacity is likely a downside of the phone’s very thin profile of just six millimeters. Well, only time will show if Samsung managed to optimize the Alpha well enough to ensure a decent battery life.

  • Google ‘Accidentally’ Leaks Their Next Android Phone

Google ‘Accidentally’ Leaks Their Next Android Phone

Google Nexus 5 was one of the best phones in the market in 2013. Recently, there has been quite a few of rumors regarding Google’s plans of discarding the Nexus for a new Silver program. But a tweet by Android’s official account shows an unknown smartphone, which looks almost like the Nexus 5 with minute changes.

This promotional tweet was intended to endorse a new feature in Google Now (the ability to see recipe checklists while shopping), exposed a new-looking phone. The photo shows that the alleged Nexus 6 doesn’t have the speaker grill or the camera on the front. The screen also appears to be larger and the bezels are slightly smaller.

This is not the first time Google has “accidentally” leaked a photo of a yet impromptu device either. Back in November last year, Google posted a promotional photo of a new Nexus tablet and it created a lot of talk about the Nexus 8 tablet. More recently, a header on Google’s micro website revealed an unknown tablet, which subsequently sparked Nexus 8 rumors. Infact, the first look of the Nexus 5 was accidentally revealed when Google posted and subsequently deleted a video on YouTube.

Seems like we have enough reasons to believe that this may be the Google’s next Android phone. We’re just not sure if this was an intentional move or just a goof-up.

  • Xiaomi Confirms 5.5 inch Redmi Note in a Teaser

Xiaomi Confirms 5.5 inch Redmi Note in a Teaser

Xiaomi’s latest Redmi phone was spotted online a couple of days back thanks to a leaked image. The company has now confirmed in an official teaser that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.5 is headed for the Chinese markets.

The addition of the “note” moniker could mean that the device may come with a stylus, or not as the teaser doesn’t indicate either.  What is confirmed is the 5.5-inch screen supposedly of 720p resolution and the octa-core processor (1.4GHz or 1.7GHz).

The phone is expected in the market for a price of around US $ 200 or approximately Rs. 12600. The phone goes up for pre order on the 19th of March for those in China, and the others may need to wait.

  • Micromax is rumored to Launch a Waterproof and Dust proof Smartphone called Splash

Micromax is rumored to Launch a Waterproof and Dust proof Smartphone called Splash

Micromax has just launched the Canvas turbo mini, but this time it seems that the company is planning to try something different. If rumors are to be believed Micromax will soon launch its dust and waterproof smartphone named as splash.

The rumored Micromax Splash was leaked by MMXNewscaster, which states “Micromax Splash (unconfirmed) First IP67 certified Waterproof (1m for 30 mins) and Dust proof phone.” No other information is available yet, but we can assume that this smartphone will be packed with some mid range specifications.

The leaked image which you see above does not tell much about the phone but shows a 5 MP camera at the back along with LED flashlight. We will have to wait and see if and when Micromax will launch this product in the market.

  • Here is an Exclusive look at the HTC M8 : HTC One Successor

Here is an Exclusive look at the HTC M8 : HTC One Successor

While we are not far away from the launch of the possible successor of the HTC One (also known as M7), iGyaan has got some images of what may as well be the HTC M8.

    HTC M8 iGyaan 1

The handset seen above sports a high quality polished Aluminum casing designed from a single block just like the HTC One. The M8 will have different specs compared to the HTC One including a 5-inch 1080p display powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8974 coupled with 3GB of RAM and Sense 6.0 UI on top of Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

If sources are correct the UltraPixel camera setup at the back is designed to use an 8mp sensor and a 4 MP sensor as opposed to the dual 5MP setup we have all been hearing. The led flash, like the one seen on the Apple iPhone 5s, is a dual-tone type.

The front is mostly identical to the HTC One and features a BoomSound speaker setup and lacks physical or dedicated capacitive touch buttons.

  • Nokia Leaks Lumia 1520, Confirms 20 MP PureView Camera and Snapdragon 800

Nokia Lumia 1520 is spinning in the rumor mills for quiet some time now, we have seen various leaks showing that Nokia will launch its first phablet device within this month.

The company’s official Tmall store -which is an online marketplace in China- recently published a product detail page for the phablet Nokia Lumia 1520. However, the page has no images of the product itself, but the listing shows the same information that we have seen in the leaks lately, 6-inch 1080p display and 20-megapixel PureView camera. The page also shows a Snapdragon 800 Chipset and the price of the device is shown as 4,999 Yuan (about 50,000 INR) price tag.

    1520

While this could just be an intentional display of the specs, just like what happened with Nexus 5 when Google accidentally placed the phone on the Play Store. Having said that, the device will supposedly launch at the Nokia World event which is held tomorrow that is 22 October 2013, if interested you can watch the webcast by clicking here.
