Samsung Galaxy A10s Launched In India Starting Rs. 9,499

Earlier this year, Samsung introduced the rehashed Galaxy A series of smartphones. These devices, unlike previous in the lineup, promised better value for money by offering competitive specifications at a lucrative price. The company has today added another handset in the lineup by launching the Galaxy A10s in the Indian market. It is the successor to the Galaxy A10 launched earlier this year and promises better optical performance and some other added features.

The Samsung Galaxy A10s measures 156.9 x 75.8 x 7.8mm and weighs 168g. Like its predecessor, the smartphone features a polycarbonate body with a glossy coloured back. It has a 6.2 inch TFT display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 px. To maximise the screen real estate, it also has an Infinity V style notch on the top of the display, just like the Galaxy A10. For biometrics and rapidly accessing the handset, a fingerprint scanner is present on the rear along with the support for face unlock. The addition of the fingerprint scanner is a newly added feature, as it was not present on the previous generation of the Galaxy A10s.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A10s is kitted with an unknown Exynos SoC. The chipset is comprised of an Octa-core CPU and an unnamed GPU. In terms of optics, the smartphone has a dual rear camera setup, which is an upgrade from the single rear camera found on its predecessor. The primary lens is an f/1.8 aperture equipped 13MP sensor; which is combined with an f/2.4 aperture equipped 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, an f/2.0 aperture equipped 8MP camera is present on the notch on top of the display. The handset will ship with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, the latter of which is expandable via microSD cards of up to 512GB in capacity.

The device runs on the latest Android 9 Pie which is skinned with Samsung’s OneUI on top. It will be available in three colour variants, namely Black, Green and Black.

The Samsung Galaxy A10s has been priced starting Rs. 9,499 for the variant with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard memory will cost Rs. 10,499. It will go on sale starting tomorrow, August 28 from major retail outlets, Samsung Opera House and all major e-commerce websites.

Samsung has quietly launched its latest budget smartphone, the Galaxy A10s through a blog post. As the name suggests, the device is an upgraded variant of the Galaxy A10 which was launched back in the month of February. The latest handset boasts of notable improvements in terms of battery and camera performance.

Samsung Galaxy A10s Leaked Via FCC

Korean electronics giant Samsung launched the refreshed Galaxy A lineup of smartphones back in the month of February. The series was debuted with the Galaxy A50, Galaxy A30 and the Galaxy A10 but was later expanded to include more devices. Now, a new handset in the lineup has been leaked which may be announced soon. A smartphone, purported to be the Galaxy A10s has been listed on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website of the United States; which reveals its details.

The Galaxy A10s, as the name suggests will be an upgraded variant of the budget Galaxy A10 launched a while ago. The listing on the FCC website reveals the schematics of the upcoming smartphone from the rear. It has been exhibited to feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which is missing from the regular variant of the device. Also, present on the back of the handset is vertically placed dual cameras with an LED flash; which was also not found in the Galaxy A10, which sports a single camera sensor on the rear. The upcoming smartphone in the schematics has been revealed to be 157mm tall and 75.8mm wide; which are almost the same dimensions as the regular variant.

The FCC listing of the Samsung Galaxy A10s claims that it will be powered by a 3900mAh battery; this is a significant upgrade over the 3400mAh cell found on the regular variant. In terms of connectivity, the upcoming smartphone has support for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth and 4G LTE. The handset is further expected to run on the latest Android 9 Pie which is skinned with the current OneUI. Unfortunately, more information like the price of the device is not available as of now. However, the listing on the FCC website suggests its launch is imminent.

Samsung A10s and M40 Coming To India Soon

Samsung has been long anticipated to launch the Galaxy M40 in India which will be the apex device in the M lineup of smartphones. However, it is not the only device the company plans to launch in the country. In addition to the M40, Samsung is also reported to soon launch the Galaxy A10s which was previously leaked as the Galaxy A10e.

The Galaxy M40 is reported to have a 6.3 inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. Going by the rumours, the smartphone will pack the Snapdragon 675 SoC which consists of an Octa Core CPU and Adreno 612 GPU. Noteworthy, the same chipset is also present on several other devices including the Samsung Galaxy A50, the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Vivo V15 Pro.

Another highlighting feature of the Samsung Galaxy M40 is its massive 5,000 mAh battery which is likely to support fast charging technology. The official price of the device is yet to be revealed, however, going by the specifications, it will be priced around the Rs 25,000 mark in India.

As aforementioned, the Samsung Galaxy A10s was previously leaked as the Galaxy A10e which revealed details about its chipset. The handset will be kitted with the Helio P22 chipset while rest of the specifications are believed to be carried forward from the original Galaxy A10. Accordingly, the upcoming device will have a 6.2 inch LCD display with HD+ resolution of 1520 x 720 px.

For photography, the smartphone has a 13 MP camera on the rear and a 5 MP camera on the front. The device is powered by a 3,400 mAh battery which supports 10 W charging. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A10s is reported to be in three colour variants which include Green, Blue and Black.
