Apple iPhone 2019 Lineup To Have 128GB Base Storage, Leaked Cases Confirm The Smartphone’s Design

Rumours regarding the latest generation of iPhones are countless and varied, however, certain reliable sources have come forward with more concrete information regarding the upcoming devices. The Apple iPhone lineup, in a market where most phones start with either 32GB (budget) or 64GB of storage (mid-range to flagships), is reported to start from 128GB of internal storage. This along with iPhone cases being seen out in the open, confirm renders that have been leaked.

Apple’s long-awaited flagship smartphone and its variants have already been making headlines all across the tech world. The latest iPhone XI is still four months away from being showcased to the entire world, yet half a year prior to the launch event and renders of the smartphone have already surfaced online. The leaks showcase an entirely unique triple camera setup, that has received mixed reception with Apple’s fan base.

Multiple sources had already confirmed the renders of the Apple iPhone XI design with a video being uploaded on YouTube, that had an unboxing of clear cases for the upcoming Apple flagships. The clear cases had cut-outs for the triple camera set-up that was seen prior with slight changes in button placements due to dimensional differences with the iPhone XS, on which the case was tried on for reference in the video. The three prototype cases received in the package may possibly be for the iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max, and iPhone XIR (names not conclusive).

The Apple iPhone XI will probably have the same screen size as its predecessor iPhone XS that was equipped with a 5.8-inch OLED display. Reports also point towards a 12MP selfie camera, a welcome improvement over the 7MP sensor used in the current generation. Finer details can only ever be discerned when Apple finally unveils the smartphones, but the 128GB of base internal storage is one of the features that may have already been confirmed.

Alleged Case Moulds Of The 2019 iPhone Leak Revealing Triple Rear Cameras

Cupertino based tech giant, Apple is due to update its iPhone lineup in the second half of the year. Reports suggest, like 2018, the company will launch three iPhone models this year. The upcoming flagship devices will supposedly be called the iPhone XI (Eleven) and iPhone XI Max, while the name of iPhone XR‘s successor is unknown. Leaks from the past claimed that the 2019 iPhone flagships will have triple rear cameras and alleged case moulds of smartphones support the claim.

The alleged case moulds for the 2019 iPhone models were leaked by notable leakster, BenGeskin on the microblogging website, Twitter. The moulds are machined out of solid aluminium blocks and they reveal the design of the devices from both the front and back. The case moulds exhibit that the upcoming iPhone XI and the iPhone XI Max will have a similar front fascia to that of the iPhone XS (10S) and iPhone XS Max. Both smartphones have a high screen to body ratio accrediting to thin bezels on all sides. They also have a wide notch above the display like their predecessors.

The rear of the assumed case moulds of the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max reveal an all-new design which harbours a triple rear camera setup, Apple logo and the iPhone phrase. Noteworthy, the placement of the Apple logo on both the smartphone case moulds is different which suggests another alteration in future devices in comparison to the current gen. The leaked case moulds certainly seem genuine, however, in order to verify their authenticity, we will have to wait till their official launch.

Even though the exact launch date of the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max is currently unannounced, they are likely to debut in the month of September.

New Set Of iPhone XI Prototype Renders Surface

Apple might have had a patchy 2018 due to several reasons(1) but the company is working rigorously to bounce back with 2019 iPhone models. Several leaks and rumours of the upcoming flagship iPhone allegedly called the iPhone XI has already surfaced online. A fresh render shared by a famous leaker exposes an all-new design of the highly anticipated device.

The latest renders of the alleged iPhone XI were shared by the leakster OnLeaks who had previously another render set of the device. The source has shared several renders of the device that provides ample details about its design. The front of the iPhone XI is identical to the iPhone XS and XS Max. Notably, the bezels and the notch on the device are thinner in comparison to its predecessors.

The right side of the iPhone XI seems to house the power button while the volume rocker and mute switch are placed on the left. The new device has curved edges which are reminiscent to the current iPhone models. The rear of the device gets a completely new design. The rear of the device is made out of glass flaunts the Apple logo and a horizontally placed camera setup.

According to the source, the rear camera setup on the iPhone XI consists of triple sensors which include dual telephoto lenses and a TOF (Time Of Flight) sensor. In addition to the three camera sensors, the rear camera setup includes a LED Flash and a microphone pinhole.

The leakster claims that the shared prototypes are 100% legit and the 2019 iPhones in a very early production process. Prominently, the upcoming devices are in the EVT (Engineering Validation Test) stage. Therefore the company might make some changes to the device. Except for the iPhone XI, Apple is reportedly also working on a large screen iPhone XI Max and the iPhone XR‘s successor.
