HTC 10 Images Leak Ahead of Launch

In what is a clear indication that the HTC 10 launch is right around the corner, more images of the beautiful looking device have leaked online. After the previously leaked images which gave us a glimpse into what the back of the phone would like, the latest batch from today, courtesy a tweet from Steve Hemmerstoffer, reveals the phone’s back and the front in all its glory.

    https://twitter.com/stagueve/status/707988592597934080?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

Today’s leak reveals a very interesting development in the HTC 10’s design scheme. The front of the phone carries a home button below the display of the phone which, by the looks of it, also houses a fingerprint scanner. This is an important development as this move will see HTC move away from its usual three capacitative button system.

Other than this, previous renders, and leaked benchmark scores peg the phone to come with a 5.15-inch Quad HD display with a top of the line Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with 4GB RAM running the show. The phone’s camera is also being touted to be something of a breakthrough, and HTC will be seen fitting a 12UP (Ultra Pixel) camera sensor with proprietary tech which will enable the phone to click amazing photos.

  • LeEco Le 2 Pro Images and Specifications Leak

LeEco Le 2 Pro Images and Specifications Leak

It was only yesterday that eager “Superfans” of LeEco were treated to leaked images of the Le 2, and today pictures and specifications of the Le 2 Pro have found their way to the Internet. The new leak suggests that the Le 2 Pro could be shown off to the world as soon as April, which in all honesty sounds like a bit of a stretch.

    Le 2 pro 4

The phone looks to have carried forward the design scheme followed by LeEco for its first generation of mobile devices. The body seems to be made completely out of metal, possibly even the same aluminium unibody design from the Le1s which won’t be too surprising considering the positive response it got from customers across the board.

    Le 2 Pro 3

The leaked images which were earlier posted on Chinese Social Networking site, Sina-Weibo reveal the phone to come packing a Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with 4GB RAM along with 64GB of inbuilt flash storage. Leaked specifications further show the phone to bear a beautiful 5.7-inch Quad HD display and a 20-Megapixel rear camera. The Le 2 Pro will get the juice it needs from a 3100mAh battery pack.

    Le 2 pro 5

The device will be equipped with Dolby Atmos tech, three microphones for noise cancellation, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner along with a USB Type-C port. The source indicates the pricing of the device could be set around the $380 mark(Approx Rs 25,673) putting it firmly in competition with Xiaomi’s Mi5.

  • HTC 10 Colour Options, Specifications Leaked

HTC 10 Colour Options, Specifications Leaked

There is very little left to know about HTC’s upcoming flagship smartphone, HTC 10. Courtesy popular leakster Evan Blass, we now what the device is going to look like as well as the fact that it will drop the ‘One M’ from the title for a simpler ‘HTC 10’. We’re still not sure about what the new name signifies, but what we do know is the various colors the device will be offered in.

    HTC 10

Blass today tweeted four colour options for the HTC 10: carbon gray, glacier silver (white face), glacier silver (black face), topaz gold. Apart from showing us the colours, the image also confirms that this is what the HTC 10 will look like and much like the One A9 and the One M9, the HTC 10 looks rather underwhelming. The most obvious disappointment comes from the disappearance of BoomSound front speakers and from the (still) large bezels on he top and bottom.

    htc one m10

The HTC 10 will instead have a single speaker grille at the bottom and a USB Type-C port. Over at the back we see the camera placed at the center and chamfered edges. Another popular leakster, @onleaks, started a leaking spree of the actual handset and Antutu benchmark scores that pin the device at 109,936 points on the famous benchmark app.

This all leaked along with the following information :  5.15? QHD / SD820 / Adreno 530 / 4GB RAM / 12MP / USB Type-C. Which means that HTC might finally be on the right track as far as specs are concerned, and we also see a home button fingerprint scanner like last year.

HTC has also stated that it’s working hard to bring a “very compelling camera experience” with the HTC 10. HTC’s Chief Financial Officer Chialin Chang is confident about the HTC 10’s camera “after seeing what’s going on in the market.”

The rear camera is rumoured to sport a 12UP (Ultra Pixel) module with OIS and autofocus while the front still is unknown. If HTC wants to be a contender in the camera department, knowing  that Samsung has upped its camera specs in the Galaxy S7, then nothing short of 5UP for the front and some absolutely spectacular images that compliment a Quad HD AMOLED display will be accepted by fans. HTC needs to get the pricing right if it wants to compete in a market that has already seen the new Samsung Galaxy S7 series, LG G5, and Xiaomi Mi 5 flagships.

  • LeEco Le 2 Shows up in Leaked Images

LeEco Le 2 Shows up in Leaked Images

LeEco (formerly known as LeTV) has been making headlines ever since the year began. At CES in January, the company unveiled the first smartphone ever to sport the Snapdragon 820 chipset with the Le Max Pro. The company also set records in India with its Le 1s flash sales. Now, it looks like LeEco is working on the successor to the Le 1s, allegedly called the Le 2.

Some leaked images of an alleged Le 2 smartphone have surfaced online. The images reveal the device from a few angles. We get a good look at the surface, the back and the bottom. Talking about the top, the Le 2 has a pretty large display compared to the body size, and since the company has released phones with almost bezel-less sides, the Le 2 looks to follow the same.

The bottom reveals two speaker grilles on either side of a USB Type-C port. Over to the right you see the volume controls and the power button. The rear panel could be either metal or glass (it’s hard to tell from the images), but some reflection of light on top seems to point towards the later. Meanwhile, the square fingerprint sensor is placed in the middle while the camera module is pushed to the top left.

Rumours so far suggest that the LeEco Le 2 will sport either the Snapdragon 820 or the MediaTek Helio X20 chipset (there will be two variants), along with 4GB of RAM and a 21 MP rear camera. Nothing else is known about the device as yet. LeEco has not confirmed the same and there is no word yet on when the company plans to launch the device.

  • Huawei P9 Leaked Metal Frame Suggests USB Type-C Port

Huawei P9 Leaked Metal Frame Suggests USB Type-C Port

It was speculated that Huawei would be unveiling its new flagship P9 at the MWC last week but that didn’t happen. Perhaps Huawei wasn’t ready with its device yet or is saving it for a solo event later on. Last weel, some rumours emerged that the P9 would sport a metal frame and a dual camera setup. Now, we have some leaked images of said metal frame that reveal a few more details.

    P9 Frame 02

The alleged P9 metal frame confirms that the device will sport a dual camera setup at the back and also reveals a USB Type-C port as well. You can also notice a cutout for a fingerprint scanner on the back.

Meanwhile, some leaked renders from a few days ago showed us that the handset features a 2.5D curved screen on the front. The bezels look pretty thin on the front while the power button and volume controls fall to the right side. The renders also show possible color options for the P9 in gold, white, pink and gray.

On the specs front, the P9 is likely to come with a Kirin 950 SoC, 4GB of RAM and a 5.2-inch display, none of which have been confirmed yet, of course. Late last month, there were also rumours that the P9 will come in multiple variants. What is expected is that Huawei besides launching its top of the line P9, will also come out with a cheaper P9 Lite, and a phablet the P9 MAX.

    Huawei P9

The last variant which Huawei plans to bring to the market as a treat for all its fans will be a beefed up variant of the P9, and will come with premium features.

The fourth model is set to offer a display whose size would lie between the P9, and the P9 MAX, with QHD resolution output. It will also feature additional RAM and storage. The fourth variant on top of this will feature an improved camera: a dual lens, dual (12 MP) sensor configuration described as a second-generation technology.

  • iPhone SE First Live Images Leaked

iPhone SE First Live Images Leaked

Yesterday, we heard reports that the upcoming 4-inch iPhone that was being called the iPhone 5se so far, would, in fact, be known simply as the iPhone SE, dropping the ‘5’ in the title. The reason behind this being that Apple did not want the new iPhone to cause confusion for the customers, since we’re already in the sixth generation of iPhones. Today, first live shots of the iPhone SE have surfaced online.

Alleged iPhone SE next to iPhone 6s
Alleged iPhone SE next to iPhone 6s

The images give us our first look at what the front of the iPhone SE could look like. The differences from the iPhone 6 are very apparent. The 4-inch device clearly brings back the 5th-gen iPhone to mind with a squarish frame, which also confirms that the 3D Touch feature will not be present. You’ll notice the two-element integrated screen (for 3D Touch) is absent in the iPhone SE (marked in yellow cross).

The iPhone SE may not come with 3D Touch but it is likely to include the iPhone 6s’ Live Photos feature that creates a 3-second GIF-like video just before taking a picture. Furthermore, popular Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo expects the iPhone SE to feature a 12MP rear camera rather than an 8MP module as earlier expected.

Kuo added that the handset will fall between $400 to $500 and will be available in two variants – one with 16GB of internal storage and the other with 64GB. Lastly, the iPhone SE will pack a 1642mAh battery, and will be equipped with Bluetooth 4.2 and  Wi-Fi 802.11ac. The iPhone SE along with the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will be unveiled at an event on March 22.

  • iPhone 5se Schematics Reveal Similarities with iPhone 5S

iPhone 5se Schematics Reveal Similarities with iPhone 5S

The upcoming 4-inch iPhone 5se from the stables of Apple which is expected to be unveiled at an Apple event in March according to latest reports will look very similar to the iPhone 5S. Schematics revealed courtesy of a case maker hint that the upcoming 5se will be heavily influenced by the design scheme of the iPhone 5s.

    iphone5seschematic

The schematics point out that the upcoming product’s dimensions are indistinguishable from the iPhone 5s, meaning that the new device will fit inside of the existing iPhone 5s cases except for a couple of changes to the body of the phone.

These schematics reveal that the sleep/wake/power button has been relocated to the side. This change would be understandable given that Apple made the shift on the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in 2014 only.

    screenshot-2016-02-24-17-18-11

Sources also reveal the iPhone 5se will also come with a slightly curved display, but it won’t be as curved as the displays found on the iPhone 6s. Besides these particular changes, the iPhone 5se when it comes to externals is essentially an iPhone 5s: a design nearly identical to the 2012 iPhone 5 with metal plates on the back, glass caps on the top and bottom of the back, and a FaceTime camera centered above the front facing speaker.

Coming to the internals of the iPhone 5se, earlier reports have claimed that the new device includes the A9 and M9 chips from the iPhone 6s, an upgraded camera hardware system, and an NFC chip for Apple Pay, and will be avaialble in Rose Gold, Silver, and Space Gray options from the iPhone 5s. The new device will come in 16GB and 64GB storage options and sell for the same prices as the 5s.

  • HTC One M10 Running Sense UI Captured

HTC One M10 Running Sense UI Captured

Over the past few weeks we’ve seen a lot of leaked live images of the HTC One M10, some in a dimly lit setting and one in white. Now, we have the One M10 in black captured in broad daylight, revealing the front of the phone absolutely clearly as well as the Sense UI that the device will come with on top of the Android Marshmallow OS.

The picture pretty much confirms past images of what the device is going to look like. HTC has ditched the M-series design language and has instead embraced the A9-like design with a home button and ditching the BoomSoud dual front speakers. This may not work in HTC’s favour seeing as how the One A9 received poor responses and did not really appear as anything unique for the company in terms of design. We’ll still have to wait and see for the actual unveiling before making a hasty judgement, but the design so far is fairly underwhelming.

    htc-m10-black

The picture also shows the handset running HTC’s Sense UI, which hasn’t undergone any major changes. This is good news for those who have a soft spot for HTC’s custom UI. The HTC One M10 will sport a Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood along with a powerful graphics card.

Other rumoured features include a Touch ID fingerprint scanner housed inside the home button, 4 GB of RAM with 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage variants and a battery capacity of 3,500 mAh. The device is expected to come out sometime in April.

  • Galaxy Note 6 Leaks Suggest 5.8-inch Display and 6GB RAM

Galaxy Note 6 Leaks Suggest 5.8-inch Display and 6GB RAM

As Samsung prepares to take on the world with its flagship devices this year, this is the latest we have about its phablet Galaxy Note 6.

A Chinese Weibo account has posted some specifications of the Note 6 which mention a 12 MP camera, along with 5.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560X1440. Additionally, there is also a mention of 6 GB of RAM.Galaxy Note 6 The latter news does not come as a surprise because it was only a couple of months ago when Samsung had announced it 12 GB mobile DRAM chips. This opened the door for 6 GB smartphones in the near future because the 12Gb LPDDR4 enables 3 GB or 6 GB of mobile DRAM in a single package by simply using two chips and four chips respectively.

Currently, even the fanciest of Samsung phones do not go beyond 4 GB of RAM. However, a 6 GB phone sometime this year shouldn’t come as a surprise now that the official announcement about the technology has been already made.Samsung Galaxy Note 5 26

Note 6 will be equipped with an S-pen (who saw that coming?) according to the leak, but there are no updates about the battery-life of the device. Watch this space for all the latest developments.

LG G5 Lite hinted at through GFXBench Listing

GFXBench, which in the past has been our trusted friend in leaking specifications of upcoming phones, has now revealed to the Internet the details of an unknown handset from the stables of LG.

The latest listing reveals that the device will come equipped with the recently announced Snapdragon 625 chipset, the first of its kind to be manufacfured using a 14nm process.

The listing further reveals that the handset will sport a 5.3-inch Quad HD display. The phone will come with a respectable 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

The new smartphone which looks to be a budget device at best will come with 8-megapixel shooter at the front and the back. Surprisingly, the listing claims that the phone will run on the outdated Android 4.4 platform.

The listing further reveals this model number of the phone which bears the mark of the upcoming LG G5 model number, hinting to this being a toned down lite version of the soon to be launched G5, in which case the phone coming with Android 4.4 makes no sense.

  • Samsung Galaxy S7 Gold Images Leaked

Samsung Galaxy S7 Gold Images Leaked

Samsung Galaxy S series leaks just don’t seem to be easing up. After the images of the S7 edge in silver making their way to the internet, now new images of the S7 in a gold have surfaced. Thankfully, these images are of the front and back of the phone giving us a fair idea of what the phone will be like from the outside once it’s available for sale.

    gsmarena_002 (6)

The phone in the images looks to have curved images on either side of its back while also the camera looks to be protruding slightly.

  • Silver Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Appears in Render

Silver Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Appears in Render

We get a lot of renders and live images of major flagship phones days before their official launch. The hype behind Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7 was always expected to be huge and this in effect would lead to a lot of leaked renders and images to please eager fans until the official unveiling.

Trust Evan Blass of @evleaks to post a render of the Galaxy S7 to please his followers. The render shows the Galaxy S7 in silver colour and it looks great. Agreed, it’s but a render, but we’d take a good looking render any day over a poorly lit live image.

    Galaxy S7 10

The render shows the curved edge side of the device with the volume controls on the left and a new Galaxy S7 wallpaper. Now, @evleaks did not confirm this to be the Galaxy S7 Edge but it is pretty clear from the image that it is.

Samsung quite certainly looks to keep the Galaxy S7’s design language similar to its predecessors, which is not a bad thing at all. The render of the device looks positively great and a bump in specs will make the Galaxy S7 the flagship to beat this year. In a few days we will know everything about the deice at the MWC.
