Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Launch In India on 11th August

According to Samsung India, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will launch in India on the 11th of August and will go on Sale on the 18th of August One day prior to the US sale date.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to launch in India, with an Exynos chipset, similar to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. The new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 shares most of its features with the S series flagships launched by the company earlier this year. However, fails to deliver beyond the 4GB RAM where users were expecting 6GB along with just a 3500 mAh battery which may be too less for the mammoth phone which has a 5.7 inch QHD Super AMOLED display which is a battery hog.

The cameras of the Galaxy Note 7 are shared with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge with a 12 MP dual pixel f/1.7 camera at the back and a 5 MP f/1.7 camera in the front. The new features include some new features in the Air View including Translate and Magnify. The Iris Scanner is included by Samsung as a feature to bump up the security on their devices with the Samsung KNOX.

Although not particularly clear, the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to launch in India with a price somewhere around the Rs. 60,000 range. Mentions of either a Rs 59,990 price or a Rs. 62,999 price with a free New-Gen Gear VR headset are being talked about for the Indian Market.

With the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 set to launch tomorrow, the full renders fro the press have leaked to show the dual edged Note phone from the company. The look of the phone falls in with many other previous leaks, talking about a new design stylus and iris dimply which can been seen on the handset.

Samsung is betting big on the Iris scanner for locking up of individual apps and the main phone to make it more secure in lieu of most businesses opting out of using an Android handset.

The new S Pen is expected to have some fun tricks up its sleeve. Along with a similar camera setup when compared to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

  • Samsung May Face Trouble with the Note 7 Sales in India

Samsung May Face Trouble with the Note 7 Sales in India

Samsung is working fast towards the launch of the Galaxy Note 7, in an attempt to beat Apple’s next iPhone to the market. But India it seems is not keen on the next smartphone from Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which is expected to have a dual edge design, an Iris Scanner and a new tricks up its S-Pen stylus is not something that users are looking to buy.

Rajiv Gupta, a 32 year old CA, and an avid Galaxy Note user says :

I Have used every note device since its original launch, and am highly disappointed in the lack of growth of the segment. The phone this year seems to be playing off the iris scanner gimmick and the S7 or the iPhone 7 seem to be my choice

Varun Sharma, a 22 year old Student of Delhi University, who has also owned two generation of Galaxy Note smartphones claims that the market is far more fierce than it used to be, and budget smartphones are claiming a large portion of the high end pot.

I used to prefer buying Samsung flagships, but the last note’s S-pen was really troublesome and Samsung did nothing to fix the problem. I have used the OnePlus 3 and am waiting to buy the Soft gold variant, because i expect the Note 7 to be priced beyond Rs. 60000 and that makes absolutely no sense.

Many other people claim that the rumors are not matching up to expectations of the Smartphone. Samsung will launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in India early August, tiring in with global launches, however, with the trend, the phone is expected to be priced in the Rs 60,000 price bracket.

note 7 edge screen on leak
Leaked image of Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Samsung may yet be in trouble, with a lot of people waiting for the next iPhone and the other opportunities in the market that include the likes of LeEco and OnePlus that seem to be offering flagship specs for almost half the price.

It also seems that Samsung will not have anything exclusive to the Galaxy Note 7 this year, with iP68 on the Galaxy S7 and Dual Edge on the Galaxy S7 Edge already launched earlier this year, the Note 7 will heavily rest on the Iris Scanner, which may not be enough to woo customers. Unless, the company reveals a new feature that gets everyone excited.

So will you buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 7?

The phone also appears to be slim and identical in design the to S7 edge with a larger and wider screen. One image shows off the lock screen with the camera and phone shortcuts and 3 notifications. ]

Two Separate Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Phones Spotted on Benchmarks

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will launch on August 2 a whole month prior to the usual launch cycle in order to combat the huge jump to the new Apple iPhone claim experts.

But, as the launch draws closer and closer the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 details seems to be clearing out. Two separate Galaxy Note 7 devices are doing the rounds of benchmarks and they not only have different chipsets but different specifications too.

    Samsung-Galaxy-Note-7-SM-N930F-GeekBench

The first one spotted on benchmark site Geekbench, with the model number SM-N930F appears to be  powered by a 1.50 GHz octa-core Exynos 7420 processor with 3GB of RAM and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. This variant scores 909 points in single core test and 3768 points in the multi-core test.

A second Samsung Galaxy Note 7 SM-N930V, is listed at AnTuTu with a qHD display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixel. It runs, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS but has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, and not the rumored Snapdragon 823 we have been hearing about this phone also has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which matches with the internal memo obtained by iGyaan a few days back.

    Samsung-Galaxy-Note-7-SM-N930V-AnTuTu

Rumors of a Galaxy Note 7 running on 6 GB of RAM with the Snapdragon 823 chipset seem to be diminishing as we get closer to the launch. It also seems that Samsung may think that 3 GB of RAM is sufficient for markets where it will sell the Exynos variant, markets that include India, Malaysia and China.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7, which leaked in images recently has some more tricks up its sleeve. According to an internal Samsung memo, obtained by iGyaan, the new Note phone, which is already expected to launch with a new iP68 design much like the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, will also feature a newly designed S Pen Stylus. Apart from the physical appearance of the new S Pen, its capabilities are said to have improved, including a newer version of Bluetooth LE which will allow for longer usage and more accurate proximity warnings.

    Samsung Galaxy Note 5 29

The Air View window which has traditionally basic S Pen apps will also include a new Dictionary and a text to voice Speaking option. A new AOD memo feature, possibly an Always on Demand memo app, could just be an improved version of the S Memo.

The memo also points out that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will have a borderless display while this could simply mean an edge display which appears to have no borders, or could be a new edge display.

The Iris Scanner, also leaked heavily, will not only be able to lock the screen but also individual folders, Apps, and documents according to the memo. An unknown aspect of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is that the phone also features the Vulcan API, which is already available on the Snapdragon 820 but should also be on the new Snapdragon 823 that the Note 7 is expected to ship with.

The Galaxy Note 7 will have 64 GB of storage and 12 MP dual pixel cameras. There is a good chance that the Note 7 will have the same hybrid SIM tray as seen on the Galaxy S7 and the S7 edge.
