i too have been wondering about the RAM, ROM and GPU of da Micromax A70 ..finally i got something which i believe might be correct …
Spec:-
CPU – MSM7227 600 MHz (ARMv6)
GPU – Adreno 200 (it is included with MSM7227 chipset)
RAM – 256 MB shared (160 MB Usable) (read in some article, sorry dont hve da link) but i believe it should b at least be 256mb in order to wrk wid MSM7227 chipset.
ROM – 512 MB (again, i read dis in some article on the internet [not confirmed] as it was a third party website)

I don’t believe the Micromax A70 has Android Market pre-installed. You should be able to tell which Android phones have Android Market by looking at the online or in-store specifications for the devices.

there aren’t any rams on this phone, but micromax a70 do support A-GPS. with A-GPS along with google maps;this phone is best buy in such an affordable price. It has 600 Mhz processor with no RAM and 168 Mbs internal space.
Actually this arises to me.i ask micromax customer care and enquire abt ram they told512 mb ram .
Ive got a sad news to all whose gonna buy this phone as Ive contacted the customer care and visited the dealer in calicut to have a look and what i got about it is pretty sad.
Ie:
1) The phone does not support 3G Based video calling
2) The camera in front is just for taking pics around
3) The secondary camera cant even help for video calling in Skype etc
4) The OS Froyoga (Froyo 2.2) cant be upgraded to Gingerbread (2.3)
Am a little disappointing in these but still its worth the money we spend…
Video calling may not be supported because only android 2.3 supports video calling using skype/gtalk. Android 2.2 doesn’t support video calling using skype/gtalk

I guess Skype or gtalk video calling is supported only from Android 2.3 onwards and this has only android 2.2
in unboxing video it was said that resolution is320x240p,but sites like gsmarena,newtechnology are saying resolution of mmxa70 is 320×480…who is true..????

why for optimus one ? whats the major difference between these two,coz optimus one is about Rs 2k more costlier than A70
go for a70 as it has vanilla froyo. lg’s launcher sucks big time and the phone itself doesn’t feels smooth as the a70. also a70 has a 5mp cam along with a front facing cam as well and will be upgraded to gingerbread whereas lg’s still not updated even though the phone is almost a year old.

my friend has already bought the A70. It’s superb. If bought for 6.6K from Letsbuy, it’s definitely more than worth for the price.

Just miss! My friend ordered the phone yesterday only. Had been waiting for your review for such a long time. Fed up and ordered it in letsbuy for 6549/- (after discount of RCOMLB1). Hope the display, camera and battery are good. Those are the only things, that i’m concerned about. BTW, in your specs, you haven’t mentioned anything about RAM, can you check the RAM and tell us…
In the video, you had mentioned the resolution as 320×240, is that a typo? All this time I was thinking that it had HVGA resolution (specs in gsmarena and other websites)

Please tell us about the GPU of the A70. Ang weather the front camers support video calling or not.
Since it has the MSM 7227 soc, GPU would be Adreno 200 (as in Nexus One/Desire).
Hi Bharath Nexus one and desire are using QSD8250 Chip set. It is the chip set used in LG Optimus Me, Samsung Galaxy Fit, Samsung Galaxy Mini, Samsung Galaxy 551, LG Optimus Chic, ZTE Blade, HTC Legend, HTC Gratia LG Optimus one P500and it belongs to ARMv6 processor. So it will not support flash
@vijayabaskarank:disqus- oops! I didn’t mention that Nexus One / Desire is having MSM7227. What I meant was, they are having the same GPU Adreno 200 as the A70. And A70 is having that GPU as it has the MSM7227 Soc. Sorry for the misleading information. And thanks for pointing it out
