  • LG G5 Specifications Revealed in Benchmark Test

LG G5 Specifications Revealed in Benchmark Test

As we approach closer and closer to February 21 where LG, among others, will unveil its flagship G5 smartphone, we will find a number of details in online that want fans to know everything about the device before it is unveiled. LG yesterday made official one of the features of the G5 and today we have some specifications confirmed by Geekbench benchmark test.

Apparently, someone with an LG G5 model decided to run a Geekbench test on the device and has posted the result online. We find that the device with the model number F700 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4GB of RAM and will run on Android 6.1 Marshmallow. The test also reveals the G5 scoring a 2248 in single-core test and 5061 in multi-core.

    LG G5 Benchmark

Now, these specs are but a few and aren’t all that surprising. Being an Android flagship device in 2016, one expects to see the above specifications. The F700 model number logically implies the G5 as the F600 and F500 in the past stood for the V10 and G4, respectively.

Other specs still unconfirmed include a dual rear camera setup, an 8MP front camera, 5.6-inch QHD display. The device is also said to come in a modular design for easy access to the battery. We’ll know if any of the alleged rumors are true in just a few days time.

  • HTC One M10 Specifications Revealed

    HTC One M10 Specifications Revealed

Over the past few days, a lot has been spoken about the HTC One M10, codenamed “Perfume”. It began when popular leakster @evleaks tweeted that the upcoming HTC One M10 is going to look a lot like the HTC One A9. Those familiar with the One A9 know that the device sparked off a major controversy with the device’s likeness to the iPhone 6, in terms of design.

Today, @evleaks has outed some specs of the device which are likely to be the actual thing. The device will sport a 5.1-inch QHD AMOLED display. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. A microSD card slot will be available too.

On the camera front, the flagship is said to feature a 12MP UltraPixel rear camera with laser autofocus and OIS. HTC is ditching the front-facing speakers with the One M10, but the device will have a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. The handset will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense 8 on top. Earlier it was speculated that HTC would unveil the device at the MWC in February, but now it looks like the company will have a dedicated event for the launch sometime in March.

    htc-one-m10-Plus

These specs are a little different from what we’ve come to hear about the device. Earlier, it was suggested that the One M10 will sport a 5.5-inch display and feature a 20MP primary camera, but Evan Blass of @evleaks says otherwise. Of course, nothing has been confirmed so far so you may want to take this with a pinch of salt.

Earlier it was also speculated that HTC would unveil the device at the MWC in February, but now it looks like the company will have a dedicated event for the launch sometime in March.

  • Lenovo K5 Note Launched with Helio P10 SoC

Lenovo K5 Note Launched with Helio P10 SoC

It hasn’t even been a month since Lenovo launched the K4 Note in the Indian Market and it looks like its successor is already here for China. The company has just made the K5 Note official, and the handset comes with an all-metal body.

The K5 Note sports a 5.5-inch Full HD LTPS display and is powered by a Mediatek Helio P10 SoC with 64-bit octa-core processor and Mali-T860 GPU. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. On the camera front, the handset features a 13MP unit in the front and an 8MP shooter at the back. Other features include a fingerprint scanner on the back that can be used to make payments as well as capture photos. The K5 Note offers support for dual-SIM, 4G LTE, as well as VoLTE. It also features a 1.5W speaker on the rear with Dolby Atmos surround sound effect.

The design of the K5 Note looks completely different when compared with the K4 Note. There are no front-facing dual speakers here. Furthermore, the K5 Note sports an all-metal body while the K4 Note had a plastic back. The specs are slightly different as well. The new K5 Note comes with the newly launched Mediatek Helio P10 SoC. However, the RAM here is at 2GB whereas the K4 Note had 3GB.

    Lenovo K5 Note

It is possible that the K5 Note will be exclusive to China much like the K4 Note is to India. The handset  is available in Gold and Silver color options and comes with a price tag of RMB 1,099 (Rs 11,500) in China, which is around the same price as the K4 Note. Registrations are already open and it will have its first flash sale this week in China.

Asus Zenfone 3 Spotted on Benchmarks

In what could be the successor to the Zenfone 2, two potential Zenfone 3 models have been listed on GFXBench benchmarks. We say Zenfone 3 because the model numbers are close to the Zenfone 2. Mid-range devices are turning out to be the new premium. Cheaper phones are being brought out with good specs and great design language.

    Asus Zenfone 3 benchmark 01

The listing shows two possible Zenfone 3 variants – one sporting a 5.5-inch display and the other a 5.9-inch display. The former looks to be the bigger of the two, in terms of specs. • iPhone 5e to be the Name of the 4-inch iPhone

iPhone 5e to be the Name of the 4-inch iPhone

It’s sort of a tradition now for Apple to release a cheaper variant of its flagship devices. It was the case for the iPhone 5C and so will be the case with the iPhone 6C. For weeks now we have been hearing rumours that Apple is working on a 4-inch iPhone. The device was initially called iPhone 6c, which later went ahead to be renamed 7c, and now we know it will be called iPhone 5e.

Unofficial render of the iPhone 7

A Chinese analyst has confirmed that the 4-inch iPhone would be called iPhone 5e where ‘e’ stands for ‘enhanced’. The phone will be an improved version of the 5s and will support Apple Pay and VoLTE.

Because the phone will be an entry level device, we don’t expect it to feature current-gen processor. Even on the camera front don’t expect a major bump. The iPhone 5e will likely stick with an 8 MP rear from the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and might even let go of OIS. It’s expected to be priced around $500 (close to Rs. 33,000) and arrive in March.
