Sony HMZ-T3W Wearable Display Now Available For Pre-Order, Priced At $1,000

Sony Electronics today introduced its next generation Personal 3D Viewer, the HMZ-T3W is a wearable high definition visual display featuring twin OLED screens.

The device is available for pre-order in the U.S. for $999.99, the Sony HMZ-T3W will allow the consumers to enjoy the display with wireless freedom. This wireless version on Sony’s website can stream content up to 7 meters away from the source, the device also plugs into smartphones and tablets via MHL or micro-HDMI.

The company says the 7.1 channel virtual sound adds an extra dimension of realism to movies and games on the HMZ-T3W. The consumers will have an option of using the supplied/stock 16 mm driver in-ear phones or pair the HMZ-T3W with their own favorite headphones. Sony claims, whichever option chosen, the Virtual Surround Technology creates an 360 degree soundstage with dialogue, music and effects.

The units will start shipping next month, no information of price and availability for the Indian market is available yet.

LG Chem Unveils Batteries For Next Generation: Curved Batteries in Production

LG Display has confirmed production of a “bendable and unbreakable” smartphone display. Now, LG Chem unveiled what they have got for the future smartphones as the company unveiled the next generation of batteries.

Lastly, Cable Battery is applied to IT devices that are bendable, wearable and even be tied into a knot. Samsung Refreshes NX300 With NX300M, Will Have 180 Degree Screen Flexibility

Samsung’s recently available NX300 mirrorless camera was one of the most anticipated camera because of its 3D capabilities. The camera did not do pretty good in the Indian market, but that does not stops Samsung to refresh the camera.

Samsung has refreshed the NX300 camera with the new NX300M which brings something more useful to the user, the new camera has a 3.31 inch AMOLED touch display that can now flip to 180 degrees instead of just 90 which was on the NX300.

However, the other features remain the same, like the 20.3 megapixel APS-C sensor, 100-25,600 ISO range, 8.6 fps continuous shooting, WiFi with SmartShare and the NFC capabilities. The NX300M will be available in Korea with an 18-55 mm kit lens for 890,000 won approximately 839 USD. We are not sure when and if Samsung will launch the refreshed product for the Indian market.

Sunstrike Telecom has unveiled two new phablets for the Indian market under its very own Optima Smart series, the OPS 80 and OPS 80Q. The Smart OPS-80Q is priced at 11899 INR and Smart OPS 80 for 6999 INR.

The Optima Smart OPS 80 features a 5.3 inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung Launches Dual SIM Version of Galaxy Note 3

Samsung’s latest flagship device Galaxy Note 3 is already available in the Indian markets for the consumers, as we all know Samsung launched an Exynos version in the Indian market whereas in other markets the company launched Snapdragon 800 versions of the very same device.

Samsung has now come up with a Dual SIM variant of its flagship, but its only said to be available in China as this is what happened with Note 2 last year. The company’s Chinese website shows up the device with a Dual SIM variant. The model number is referred as N9002. The device comes up with Dual Micro SIM card slots along with a Micro SD card slot.

This N9002 is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset. Rest all features are pretty much the same except the 4K recording, it comes up with a 5.7-inch resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels pixels Full HD Super AMOLED display. Adobe Hacked, Millions of Consumer Data Compromised
Adobe announced on Thursday that it has been the target of a major security breach in which sensitive and personal data about millions of its customers have been put at risk.

Brad Arkin, senior director of security for Adobe products and services, explained in a post that the attack concerns both customer information and illegal access to source codes for “numerous Adobe products.” As the hackers have obtained access to a large swath of Adobe customer IDs and encrypted passwords.

Brad specified that removed sensitive information about approximately 2.9 million Adobe customers. He added that investigators don’t “believe the attackers removed decrypted credit or debit card numbers” from Adobe’s systems.

While Adobe claims in a blog that they are taking the following steps:
- As a precaution, we are resetting relevant customer passwords to help prevent unauthorized access to Adobe ID accounts. If your user ID and password were involved, you will receive an email notification from us with information on how to change your password. We also recommend that you change your passwords on any website where you may have used the same user ID and password.
- We are in the process of notifying customers whose credit or debit card information we believe to be involved in the incident. If your information was involved, you will receive a notification letter from us with additional information on steps you can take to help protect yourself against potential misuse of personal information about you. Adobe is also offering customers, whose credit or debit card information was involved, the option of enrolling in a one-year complimentary credit monitoring membership where available.
- We have notified the banks processing customer payments for Adobe, so that they can work with the payment card companies and card-issuing banks to help protect customers’ accounts.
- We have contacted federal law enforcement and are assisting in their investigation.

Nokia Lumia 1020 Now Up For PreOrder at a Price of 49999 INR

Nokia recently launched its flagship phone in India, the Nokia Lumia 1020 comes up with a 41 MP sensor and is now available for preorder on Nokia’s website and on other online shopping websites as well.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 has a 4.5 inch AMOLED ClearBlack display with Pure Motion HD+ technology along with a resolution of 1280 × 768 pixels. The Lumia 1020 includes a 2 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. While, the device is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU and a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Chipset, it runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS along with Amber update.

The Lumia 1020 has a 41 MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization, Xenon flash and also LED flash for video recording. The device has a 1.2 MP front-facing camera with wide angle lens and can make HD video. The device includes a 2000 mAh battery and supports wireless charging just like some of its old Lumia brothers.

Microsoft and HTC in Talks to Put Windows on Android Phones

After buying Nokia’s windows devices, the Lumia range and services business, it seems that Microsoft is now planning to grow the windows phone market.

As reported by Bloomberg, Microsoft is talking to HTC about adding its Windows operating system to HTC’s Android-based smartphones at little or no cost, people with knowledge of the matter said, evidence of the software maker’s struggle to gain ground in the mobile market.

The report also claims Microsoft operating systems chief Terry Myerson discussed lowering the license fee or dropping it entirely as an incentive. The sources is not clear on whether the devices might run both operating systems at once, or let users choose just one. Terry Myerson was planning to visit Asia this month and meet with senior executives at Taoyuan, Taiwan-based HTC to discuss his proposal, as per the source.

Google Acquires ‘Flutter’ the Company Which Builds Gesture Recognition Technology

Google acquires Flutter, a company which builds gesture recognition technology for computers. This came up an year back as Flutter started to build software allowing users to control their computers by making gestures in front of their webcams.

This technology can be used in the company’s Chromebook line of laptops. This is what the company says after being acquired by Google:

Google Launches Street View For Monuments in India: Will Start With 100 Monuments

The Archaeological Survey of India(ASI) has partnered with Google to create a 360 degree imagery of India’s important heritage sites, which will include Taj Mahal, Khajuraho and Ajanta and Ellora caves.

The company claims that the mission is to make information more accessible, as Google hopes to help make more of India’s heritage accessible to people around the world and also to preserve the history for the coming generation. Starting today Google will work with the ASI to bring the street view trekker, a wearable bag like designed device with a camera system on top, check it out in the image below.

Street View Trekker

This trekker is designed to capture images in remote sites or places that are only accessible by foot. Once published, this imagery of the Indian heritage will be available on Google Maps and on World Wonders Site. Part of Google Culture Institute, the Google Worlds Wonders Project is a platform which brings online the major world heritage sites of the modern and ancient worlds. At the launch vice president and managing director of Google India said:

In a country like India, where we have the world’s second largest population and 5,000 years of history, rich and cultural diversity, technology can help us share the Indian experience with the rest of the world – and each other- more effectively than ever before. We’re honored to be working with the ASI to help make these important Indian heritage sites available for the world to experience online.”

The Union Minister of Culture Smt. Chandresh Kumari Katoch said during the launch:

India’s historical and archaeological sites are an important part of the world’s knowledge, and through this partnership with Google we hope to engage more people, both around the world and here in India, in discovering and learning about our country’s rich history.”
