Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro With AI, Four Cameras & Notch Launched

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has been officially launched on the company’s Thai website. The device is the successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Although it has been made official today, the device has already leaked multiple times. It was even available for sale online on 3rd party sites before the official launch.

Redmi Note 6 Pro Specifications:

The Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 6.26 inch display. It is an IPS LCD panel. The screen has a pixel density of 403 ppi and a screen to body ratio of 81.1%. The device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636. The Snapdragon 636 is an Octa-Core chipset. The device has the Kryo 260 CPU which is clocked at 1.8 GHz along with an Adreno 509 GPU. The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face-unlock technology. The device has a 4000 mAh battery.

The phone is available in three storage options: 32 GB storage with 3 GB of RAM or 64 GB storage paired with either 4 GB/6 GB of RAM. The device has an expandable microSD card slot that takes memory cards up to 256 GB. Though one drawback is the hybrid SIM slot. This means that the device can either accept two SIM cards or one SIM card and a microSD card.

The device is the first Xiaomi phone that has four cameras. The device has dual front cameras, a 20MP and a 2MP depth sensor. The main rear camera setup has dual 12MP and 5MP sensors. It can shoot 2K videos @ 30 FPS. The camera also has AI integration that helps to take better photos based on Artificial Intelligence calculations.

In terms of connectivity it has Bluetooth 5.0, dual band wifi and dual-4G support. It supports OTG connection. Another feature is the Infrared Port which lets you use your phone as a remote control for appliances.

Price & Colours :

The device is available in Rose Gold, Black and Blue colours. The device costs 6,990 THB(Thai Bhat). This approximately converts to Rs 15,600 for the mid level 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant. The device will go on sale on Xiaomi’s Thai website from 27th September.

Google Pixel 3 XL Detailed Unboxing Video Surfaces, Tells It All

There have been multiple instances when the upcoming Google Pixel 3 XL has leaked. The device will be the latest flagship offering from Google. An earlier leak covered extensive hands-on images of the device. Earlier, the non-released device was up for grabs on the black market for 2000$. And a famous Russian leaker got his hands on one unit. Now, he has made a video demonstrating a hands-on experience with the phone.

Specifications:

The device has a massive 6.7 inch screen along with a notch and thin bezels. It is powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset with the Adreno 630 GPU. Details about the RAM and storage are still unclear. Though, Google might go with 8GB of RAM and 256GB or 512 GB of storage.

Reports claim that the new device has haptic feedback capabilities. This feature is already available in the likes of iPhone X and iPhone XS.

The source even posted a camera shot that is supposedly captured on the upcoming Google Pixel 3 XL and the quality sure looks good. Google pixel 2 XL definitely had one of the best camera any smartphone on the market offered and we think the new device will follow the tradition. Also, it is expected that Google will improve the camera quality even further in the coming generation.

There was another big piece of news that the source revealed. There is possibility that Google might offer a new Ultra version of the device. It will have an edge to edge display without the notch. But there is no concrete information as of now, this being a possibility.

Finally, Google will clear up all the clouds around the upcoming device and officially announce all the details and features on coming October 9 at their launch event in New York City.

Xiaomi launched the Air Purifier 2s for Chinese market back in January. And now the device has made its way to the Indian shores. This model is the successor to the Air Purifier 2, which was launched 2 years ago.

Realme has launched the all new Realme C1 in India. Realme held the launch event of the Realme 2 Pro today, where they pulled out the Realme C1 out of nowhere. The device starts at Rs 6,999 and is a direct competition to the Xiaomi Redmi 6A.

Realme 2 Pro Launched In India: Price & Specifications

Realme has launched their third and most powerful device today, the Realme 2 pro. The Realme 2 pro will be the direct to competitor to the upcoming Redmi Note 6 pro. The device comes with a waterdrop notch and a glass back with a dual camera setup on the rear. The device starts at Rs 13,990 in India.

Design:

The Realme 2 pro has an edge to edge display with a small waterdrop notch up top. The back of the device is made up of transparent plastic. Placed at the rear is the dual camera with LED flash and a fingerprint sensor. The right side of the phone houses the power/unlock button. Above the power button is the dual sim and memory card slot. Situated on the left are volume rockers. The 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB connector and speaker are all placed at the bottom of the phone.

Airtel Gearing Up To Boost High Speed Data Network With Project LEAP
Airtel has taken some more steps towards its goal of its complete network transformation. The telecom provider, which is one of the leading in India and was at one point of time, amongst the largest int he world, plans to get back on track. Airtel’s 4G network already covers 100% of Karnataka. It is the only telecom provider in the region to offer 4G, 3G and 2G services. to give a recap of its journey in the state, here are some numbers:
- 4G services on 2300 MHz launched in 2012
- 4G services on 1800 MHz launched in 2015
- VoLTE services launched in November 2017
- Towns and villages covered by network – 39,000
Now, in an effort to maintain their lead in this territory, the company will rollout 13,000 new mobile tower sites and also spread a 4500 km long optical fibre network that will enable them to boost high speed data network capacity.

This rollout will also include deployment of Pre-5G Massive MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) technology in vital residential and commercial hubs. However, the success in Karnataka is just a demonstration of the ongoing Project LEAP.

Project LEAP:

Airtel started working on project LEAP back in 2015 and planned a massive investment of Rs 60,000 crore. Some of that has already been used up and the remaining will be spent in the upcoming future.

The key points of project LEAP are:
- Create India’s first Open Network – An open network will allow users to see the mobile network coverage in their area with the help of simple colour schemes. These colour schemes will define whether the network quality in their location is excellent, good, moderate or has no-coverage.
- Users will also be able to locate company outlets and service centers with the help of a graphical map an easy to read colour schemes.
- Under project LEAP, Airtel also plans to strengthen their network of mobile towers throughout the nation. The company will upgrade current towers and will also increase the number of towers.
A New Telecom Leader?

Airtel might be taking these steps as a counter-attack towards Jio. Airtel posted it first loss in 15 years, months after the arrival of Jio. Furthermore, Jio is continuously gaining traction since its launch. Jio scaled quickly because it adapted 4G technology faster than Airtel and now Airtel is trying to use the same trick to get back its lost marketshare. Airtel wants to be prepared when the 5G devices come out in 2019. It will allow Airtel to fight hard against big telecom players like Jio and the recently announced merger of Aditya Birla’s Idea and Vodafone group.

OnePlus 6T Set To Launch On 17th October In India

The alleged invite for the upcoming OnePlus 6T launch has surfaced online. The invite suggests that the OnePlus 6T will launch in India on 17th October. This leak seems viable as it matches the previously rumoured launch date.

The same source provides us with 2 other images of the alleged device. The recently leaked poster from OnePlus has already given us a good look at the water drop notch on the device. However, the images point out to a surprising new feature. A triple camera setup on the OnePlus 6T.

Rumours regarding the triple camera were around for a long time but were laid to rest with some renders and a TVC which is being aired regularly. These new images do make us wonder as to whether the advertisement is hiding something. In the ad, brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan can be seen covering the back of the phone. This is the exact placement of the triple camera in the leaked images. Hence, once can speculate that OnePlus might be holding this new feature back.

Another big highlight is the in-display fingerprint sensor. This was first revealed when a retail box of the device surfaced online. The in- display sensor is reported to use Qualcomm’s ultrasonic technology which allows you to access the device even if your hands are oily or wet.

Specifications:

Based on the leaks and our expectations, here are the specifications. The device is expected to retain the Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. However, OnePlus might offer higher storage by offering a 512GB variant since the devices do not have memory card support.

OnePlus earlier confirmed they will get rid of the 3.5 mm headphone jack. On the flip side, they now offer the bullets headphones with a Type-C connector.

The device will sport a 6.41 inch Super AMOLED display with the waterdrop notch. OnePlus might bump the battery of the new device from the current 3300 mAh battery. We also expect to see flagship features such as wireless charging and IP rating on the new device. The OnePlus 6T is reported to run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

OnePlus 6T Poster Leaked & New Slogan Revealed

A launch poster of the OnePlus 6T has leaked and it gives us a look at the new device. The poster shows that the OnePlus 6T has a waterdrop notch display. The company has also come up with a new slogan for the device, “Unlock The Speed”.

The leaked image was first posted on the Chinese microblogging site weibo. Apparently, OnePlus officials took it down in no time. However, users of weibo were quick enough to post it elsewhere.

According to the leak, the device will feature a waterdrop notch on its display. Other speculated specifications for the device include a Snapdragon 845 processor paired with 8 GB of RAM. OnePlus already confirmed the device will have an in-dispaly fingerprint sensor and a previously leaked retail box image supports the same.

The upcoming device is called the OnePlus 6T, as has been confirmed by TV commercials . The company has been promoting the device heavily all over social media as well. TV commercials for the device have already been around for a while. Additionally, OnePlus has chosen Mr Amitabh Bachan as their brand ambassador in India.

The company is promoting the in-display fingerprint sensor as a big highlight in the upcoming device. The ad stresses on the words “There is a cooler way to unlock your phone” and “Touch the innovation”.

It was previously rumoured that the OnePlus 6T will feature a triple camera. But, latest commercials suggest otherwise and the device will come with a dual camera setup for now. However, the celebrity can be seen holding the phone in a peculiar manner which has led to speculations that the third camera lens might be covered on purpose.

However, OnePlus will probably launch the device on 18 October and will reveal all the details about the device.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro With Kirin 980, Triple Camera Images Leaked

Alleged images of the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 Pro have surfaced online. The images show the device will be available in 3 colours which are Twilight, Black and Blue. The device will run on the flagship HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset.

Design:

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro will supposedly feature a 6.3 inch screen. From the images it can be drawn that the device comes with a notch up top. Also, the rear of the device has a triple camera setup along with a dual-LED flash. The device has thin bezels on either sides and a slim chin along the bottom.

Processor:

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset which is based on the 7nm manufacturing technology. The Kirin 980 chipset has an Octa-Core CPU which has 4x Cortex-A76 and 4x Cortex-A55 processors. The Kirin 980 has the Mali-G76 MP10 GPU, an AI processing unit along with DDR4 RAM clocked @ 2133 MHz.

DDR4 is the latest and greatest of RAM technology currently available. It helps to speed up the device as DDR 4 is clocked higher than DDR3 which has a clock speed of 1666 MHz.

Huawei is claiming their Kirin 980 to be faster than Apple’s A12 bionic chip. The chipset uses the 7 nm manufacturing technology. This is a technology that helps to pack in more transistors in the existing footprint of the chipset. It also helps to increase the speed and also reduces power consumption of the device resulting in better battery backup.

Other specifications:

Huawei Mate 20 pro has aperture size ranging from f /1.8 to f /2.4 and focal length of 16 to 80 millimeters as claimed by reports.

It is also possible that the device will come with a battery larger than 4,000 mAh and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Another feature called underwater mode which Huawei showcased at IFA Berlin 2018 might also make its way to the device.The Huawei Mate 20 Pro might drop the monochrome sensor and replace it with a wide-angle RGB sensor to provide with 5X zoom capabilities, according to reports.

However, precise details about device will come out on 16th October at Huawei’s launch event in London.

Vivo To Launch V9 Pro In India On September 26 : Details

Vivo teased the launch of the upcoming Vivo V9 Pro on the Amazon India website. The smartphone is set to launch in India on September 26, 2018 at 12 PM.

Design:

The Vivo v9 Pro will carry forward the same design theme from current Vivo devices. It will supposedly have a metal back with a finger-print sensor. It is confirmed that the device has the Fullview Display 2.0 with a 6.3 inch screen paired with a notch.

Processor:

The device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. Snapdragon 660 is an Octa Core processor which has the Kryo 260 CPU that is clocked at 2.2 GHz and has an Adreno 520 GPU.

Camera:

From the Amazon India page it can be seen that V9 Pro has a dual camera setup at the back. The device also comes with an AI engine that Vivo uses to enhance selfies and camera photos.

Storage and RAM:

The report confirms that the device has 6 GB of RAM and going with the trends Vivo will supposedly pair it with 128 GB of storage and an expandable storage slot.

Battery and other features:

Vivo V9 Pro might have the Funtouch OS 4.0 which is Vivo’s Android skin based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Other features like proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope remain standard and will be carried forward from Vivo V9. The battery is reported to be between the range of 3300-3800 mAh.

The device will be an Amazon exclusive and will be launched on September 26th.

Nokia 5.1 Plus India Launch On 1st October : Priced at Rs 10,999

HMD global announced the Nokia 5.1 plus in the European market in August 2018. They have now announced the Nokia 5.1 plus for the Indian market. The device will go on sale from 1st October. The smartphone is priced at Rs 10,999.

Design :

Nokia 5.1 plus has a 5.8 inch HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The display has a notch along with slim bezels on either sides. The chin of the phone is quite thick and has the Nokia branding on it. The device has a glass black, made of 2.5D curved glass. The device has a dual camera setup on the back along with an LED flash. Placed below camera is the fingerprint sensor. The power button and volume rockers are placed on right side of the phone.

The Nokia 5.1 plus has a set of dual rear cameras. It has a 13 MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and a 5 MP depth sensor, along with LED flash. The device has an 8 MP front facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It also has AI assistance which could enhance camera performance.

Processor and battery:

The new Nokia 5.1 plus has a Mediatek Helio P60 quad-core processor and 3 GB of RAM. The device has 32 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 400 GB. It packs a 3060 mAh non-removable battery. The Helio P60 chipset also optimises tasks, giving the device a longer battery life.

Availability:
