Nexus 6P Users Complain of Poor Microphone Quality During Calls

Seems like Apple is not the only company with its fair share of problems. Google makes sure its tech competitor never feels left out, even when it comes to running into controversies with their latest gadgets.

JerryRigEverything.com put the Nexus 6P through a series of tests few weeks ago. These tests included heat test and checking the bending capabilities of the phone. Even though the phone is otherwise a sturdy device, it has a hardware flaw which meant -the phone snapped into two when it was tested for bending.Huawei Nexus 6P 25

However, twisting your phone at unnatural angles is not something most users are likely to do. So this whole ‘bend-gate’ issue a second time over with a flagship could be simply overlooked, right? And all was well in the Nexus 6P paradise one more time…until new issues emerged.

Users are now complaining of poor sound quality during phone calls. The person on the other side is unable to hear them properly. Other than standard phone calls, this is also happening during VoIP calls, like Hangouts.

The poor microphone quality has been experienced by users in both the speaker as well as the ear-piece mode. People have taken to Google forums and reddit to talk about it. Google is currently looking into the problem.

If you have used a Nexus 6P, did you face the same, or any other problem, as well? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Google To Launch Play Store In China Next Year

Google To Launch Play Store In China Next Year

Google wants to launch a special version of its Play Store in China next year. Reports suggest that the company wants to launch a stand-alone version for the country in order to comply with their government’s censorship requirements.

    Google Play Store

Google has had a short and somewhat tumultuous relationship with the country. It left China in 2010 as a reaction to the Chinese hacking attacks and the government’s censorship requirements. However, with the new turn of events, it seems like the company is agreeing to comply with content censorship request, but will keep the Chinese version of the Play Store separate from the existing app store. This will be done so that the rest of the users located outside the country won’t have to comply with those specific censorship guidelines.

    Google Play Store

Even with Android being the most used operating system in China, many users do not have Google apps on their phone because of the above mentioned reasons. They currently use web browsers like Tencent and Baidu in order to access app stores from mobile phones. Therefore, hopefully with the introduction of the Google Play Store, things might change for the ‘techizens’ of China, and will inversely even help Google expand towards more areas of influence.

This app store can be expected to launch during the first half of 2016, sometime after the Chinese New Year in February.

  • iPhone 6s and 6s Plus Prices to Drop by 10k in India Mid December

iPhone 6s and 6s Plus Prices to Drop by 10k in India Mid December

Apple is ready to launch itself in the country later this year, with news of Apple launching official stores and finally breaking free of the 5 year minimum entry tie up clause with its partners including Reliance. Apple will launch as an independent company with flagship stores all around the country.

Sources inside of Apple tell iGyaan that the Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus that launched with huge price disparities between the US and Indian markets , will see some price moderation and capping. Apple will follow global pricing standards and soon, try to match up to US prices to make consumers buy locally in India.

The Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, that feature new 3D touch and 4k Video recording among many hardware improvements, launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 62,000 and Rs. 72,000, respectively for the 16 GB version.

    iPhone 6s and 6s plus igyaan 1

Apple follows a global warranty policy with all it’s products. The iPhone which has been left out of the Global warranty, here in India, due to tie ups with Indian distributors, will also come within Apple’s warranty standards. Meaning, people buying iPhones anywhere else in the world will enjoy warranty in India.

It would only make sense for Apple to offer products at a nearly matched price to reduce imports of their products from global destinations, including Thailand and UAE.

The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are expected to drop in price by Rs. 10,000 making them slightly more pocket friendly. You may want to hold of your purchases for a month, incase this turns out to be true. Here are the current prices.

iPhone 7 to be Waterproof and Have 3GB of RAM

There’s still about 10 months left before Apple comes out with its next flagship devices, and yet there have been tons of rumours and speculations already in the air about every little detail related to the iPhone 7.

Research company TrendForce has revealed some more dirt on the iPhone 7. Apparently, the highlights of the next generation of iPhones will be a 3GB RAM and waterproof design. These are supposed to be the defining new features of the iPhone 7, though as usual, you should take these rumours with a grain of salt. Furthermore, it seems like only the iPhone 7 Plus variant will get the bumped up RAM.

TrendForce also reiterates what many sources have speculated that a 4-inch iPhone is in the offing and will see an early 2016 release, while the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be unveiled sometime during the second half of 2016.

Lastly, while Apple will likely beat its own sales performance next year with an estimated 260 million units, the Cupertino giant, however, might not manage to take the smartphone sales crown from Samsung, which is expected to sell around 310 million units next year.
