Huawei has silently lauched their new MediaPad 5 lite tablet. Like the name suggests, this is a lite version of their flagship tablet the MediaPad M5 pro. Despite being a lite variant it still seems like a very capable device. The MediaPad M5 lite has Android 8.0 Oreo and Harmon Kardon quad-speakers.
Features & Specificaions
MediaPad M5 lite has a 10.1 inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The screen has a pixel density 0f 224 ppi. Powering the device is the Hisilicon Kirin 659 CPU along with the Mali T830 MP2 GPU. This is an Octa-Core processor with 4 x A53 Cores clocked @ 2.4 GHz & 4 x A53 Cores clocked @ 1.7 GHz.
The tablet has 2 storage options: a 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB storage variant and another 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB storage variant. The tablet has expandable storage capacity and accepts MicroSD cards upto 256 GB. Talking about the camera, the device has an 8 MP front camera and an 8 MP rear camera. One key highlight of the tablet is it’s massive 7500 mAh battery. This battery will allow really long sessions of playback. The device has Harman Kardon quad-speakers to give concert hall like effects and audio. The device can be unlocked either by the pattern lock or the in-built fingerprint sensor. It comes in Champagne Gold and Space Grey colour options. The device has a plethora of sensors including a Gravity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Compass, Gyroscope, Hall Effect Sensor and an LED status indicator.
Sadly, Huawei has not announced the price of the tablet yet. We are gonna have to wait for Huawei to do the same. Overall it looks like a solid tablet with good specs in a well balanced package that can definitely compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab lineup and other android tablets.
The Motorola One Power made a mark for itself and is one of the better phones from Motorola we have seen in a while. Motorola also got the pricing right with the device, giving it a good response from fans. However, Realme launched the Realme 2 Pro with a bunch of features and the price has pitted the devices against each other. So, here we take a look at the Moto One Power and Realme 2 Pro, head to head.
Display:
The Realme 2 Pro has a 6.3-inch Full HD display, complete with thin bezels on either side and a teardrop notch on the top. With a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, the Realme 2 Pro provides an immersive visual experience at 409 ppi. Not lagging behind, the Motorola One Power gives a similar performance with its 6.2-inch, Full HD display. At 2246 × 1080 pixels, it gives us a density of 402 ppi.
Both of the devices house the front camera in the notch. The Realme 2 Pro has a water drop style notch and the camera is placed along the middle of the top bezel which gives the device a really clean look. On the other hand Motorola One Power has a wide notch with the camera placed on the it’s right side.

The Realme 2 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 with the Adreno 512 GPU. The device performs well running day to day tasks and moderately demanding games. Also, the Realme 2 Pro has an AIE (Artificial Intelligence Engine) which helps the device to take better pictures, optimise battery life and helps in better resource management. The Motorola One Power is no slouch either. It is powered by the Snapdragon 636 with Adreno 509 GPU. The device mostly runs lag free during basic tasks and even while playing casual games.
Both the devices come with fingerprint scanners and are equally good in unlocking the device. Additionally, the Realme 2 Pro has a lightning fast face unlock.

This the segment where the Realme 2 Pro really emerges on top. The Realme 2 Pro offers upto 8 GB of RAM compared to the Motorola One Power’s single 4 GB RAM variant. The higher RAM allows the Realme 2 Pro to run even excessively RAM hungry games smoothly.
User Interface:
The two devices have a great deal of differences with regard to the interface. The Moto One Power runs Android One and gives a clean, stock android experience. The device has a very familiar interface and a traditional design. There are no surprises in this department and the UI is easy to use.

While the Realme 2 Pro also has fast charging capability, it is disappointing that the company hasn’t included a fast charger in the box.
Verdict:
There is no clear winner in this contest as both phones have their pros and cons. The Realme 2 Pro has water drop notch display, higher RAM, better camera and AI integration. But the Motorola One Power also stands out with its massive battery, solid build quality and the clean stock Android experience.
A notable leaker from twitter has shared the colour and price options for the upcoming Nokia 7.1 smartphone. He also clarified the confusion that has prevailed online regarding the name of the device. The leaker has been a trustworthy source for quite some time now.

According to leaker the new device is called the Nokia 7.1. It will not have the Plus suffix which was rumoured earlier. He reports that the device has 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of inbuilt storage. The device will be available in Blue and Steel colour options. The leaker states Nokia 7.1 will cost 399 Euro. This price roughly converts to Rs 33,590 in India.
The device has been making rounds online for some time now. An image of the device’s back panel was leaked earlier this week. Reports suggest the device will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, a 19:9 ratio diplay with full-HD resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and the rear camera will have Carl-Zeiss optics. Twitter was ablaze with users commenting about how they had suddenly been logged out of their Facebook apps. This seemed to be faced by a lot of users, and you might be one of them too. The reason is the latest breach into Facebook’s security system which affected almost 50 million accounts.
The breach was detected by Facebook on 25th September. A hacker or some hackers had used a vulnerability in the code of the social networking giant to gain access to user accounts. This was done by gaining control of the access tokens for the accounts. The access tokens are basically what allow you to log int your mobile accounts without having to retype your password every time. An update to the video uploading feature in July 2017, led to this vulnerability and attackers only needed to find this out to get the access tokens to user accounts.
To combat this, Facebook immediately reset the access tokens of all the affected accounts and an additional 40 million accounts. This led to users being abruptly logged out of they Facebook and Messenger apps. Along with this, the company is also disabling the ‘View As’ feature in your account until it conducts a thorough security review.
What has not been answered is who the attackers were and what they used the accounts for. They could have used the accounts to change settings . It could have even been used to log in to third party apps using the accounts. The possibilities are many, but the company has still not found an answer to the question. However, it has added that no credit card information has been exposed.

Top devices caught cheating the 3DMark Slingshot Extreme test are: Huawei takes the top spot by a huge margin. Their Honor 10 cheats the benchmark test upto 90%. Huawei P20 Pro also has cheating score of 75 %. Oppo is also found guilty with its Oppo Find X and smartphones from its sub-brand Realme 1 and Realme 2. These devices have a fake bemchmark claim of approximately 36%,45% and 60% respectively.

LG is reportedly set to launch the LG Watch W7 running Google’s latest Wear OS. The launch will be held along with that of the LG V40 ThinQ. The smartwatch had been revealed back in April, but more details and confirmations have surfaced only now.
The device is set to launch on 3rd October and is pitted to compete against the Apple Watch 4. This is due to the fact that is has the lated Wear OS and Qualcomm’s flagship processor for smartwatches, The Snapdragon wear 3100.The Snapdragon wear 3100 is designed exclusively for smartwatches and uses the ultra low-power system architecture. The update is through a tweet by a noted leakster who says that the watch is set to launch along with the new LG V40 ThinQ. According to reports, the watch has a 1.2 inch screen with a 360 x 360 LCD Display. It has 768 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. It is also water and dust resistant. One interesting feature is that the device is rumoured to have analogue watch hands, which will save battery life. The watch is said to have a battery life of around 100 days on a single charged when used solely as an analogue device, with the Wear OS disabled. It features a 240 mAh battery. Realme is targetting the new device towards the younger audience. It is the direct competitor to the Xiaomi Redmi 6A. This is Realme’s first device in this price segment. The company has priced the device very aggressively. Realme is a sub-brand of Oppo. And Oppo is trying hard to gain share in the previously untapped online territory with it’s sub-brand.
Specifications and Features:
Realme C1 has a 6.2 inch HD+ display with a notch. The device is powered by the Octa-Core Snapdragon 450. It is the first device to offer this processor in this price segment. The device has a dual camera setup, a 13 MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone has a massive 4,230 mAh battery which will last a really long time with the Snapdragon 450.
The device has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage. Also it supports microSD cards of upto 256 GB. The phone will ship with ColorOS 5.1 which is their custom skin built on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Xiaomi has launched three new Mi 4A Pro LED Smart TVs today, as part of its launch event. The series consists of three devices of 39 inch, 44 inch and 55 inch sizes. The 55 inch TV is a 4K set and all the three TVs run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. They feature Google Play Store, Youtube and other Google Apps. The devices also have Chromecast built-in and Google Home support. Also featuring on the devices is an advanced voice search which lets you search for content on both online and offline channels. The devices will also receive Amazon Alexa support in sometime.
The Tvs also have Xiaomi’s Patchwall feature. This uses AI to make a customised home page for you. They will receive Amazon Prime video soon after the launch and are expected to have the Netflix app soon.
The devices vary in both size and specifications. The bigger the size, the better the specifications.

The 55 inch TV is the only out of the three that has a 4K + HDR display. The TV has Dolby + DTS Cinema audio quality which promises a rich experience. The device runs on the Amlogic 64 Bit Quad Core processor and the Mali T830 GPU. The TV also has 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
The TV has 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB (3.0+2.0) ports. It also has dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.
The device can be unlocked either by the pattern lock or the in-built fingerprint sensor. It comes in Champagne Gold and Space Grey colour options.
