Let’s have a look at some interesting and intriguing trivia about what will probably be the biggest movie of 2019.

    • Most of the footage used in the movie trailers on YouTube and TV Spots is reportedly extracted from the first 15-20 minutes of the movie, which means that fans have already seen 4% of the movie so far, considering the long 181 minute runtime.
    • Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are the first Hollywood movies to have been shot entirely on digital IMAX Cameras in an open-matte aspect ratio of 1.9:1

    • Chris Evans (playing Captain America) has been a part of the MCU (Marvel Character Universe) for almost a decade now. He has appeared as Captain America for a total of 10 times, including Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), The Avengers (2012), an uncredited cameo in Thor: The Dark World (2013), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), a cameo in Ant-Man (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), a cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), a cameo in Captain Marvel (2019) and eventually Avengers: Endgame (2019).
    • Similar to Avengers: Infinity War, the Russo Brothers (directors) published a letter to MCU fans, urging them to not divulge any details and spoilers regarding the upcoming movie. This sparked a viral trend on Twitter, with the hashtags #DontSpoilTheEndgame and #ThanosDemandsYourSilence.
    • When the first trailer for the movie came out, the name of the movie (the Endgame) was not included in the title of the trailer. Instead, it just read “Marvel Studios’ Avengers – Official Trailer”. This was formulated in order to surprise MCU fans with the title name at the end of the trailer.
    • Opening night tickets for the Avengers: Endgame were resold on eBay for a lot more than their original worth. Reportedly, a pair of IMAX tickets were resold in New Jersey for about US$ 15,000, which is ridiculously high.
    • The shooting of the movie was temporarily shut down on September 11, 2017 because of the Hurricane Irma.

This year, Avengers: Endgame and and Once Upon A Time In HollyWood will be released.
    • Paul Rudd as Ant-man and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk will come together for the first time in the Avengers: Endgame.

Interesting Facts About PUBG That You Probably Did Not Know

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG has become a worldwide sensation since its launch in the year 2017. The game has seen an exponential amount of exposure which further increased when it was announced for smartphones. PUBG Mobile was launched last year for iOS and Android devices and has since transcended into a pop culture icon. But despite being so popular, some interesting facts about the game are still a mystery. So here are interesting facts about PUBG that even most hardcore fans don’t know.

    Creator of PUBG
    Brendan Greene

We all know the game, but do we know the man behind it? Brendan Greene is credited as the creator of PUBG. The Irish born game developer got the idea of the game after reading the Hunger Games books. It is said Greene did not know anything about programming and learning it in order to develop the game. In recent news, Greene has said that the sequel to the game, purportedly PUBG 2 is not in the schedule and might never get released as he is done with Battle Royale as a whole.

    The Reason Behind The Name

The full form of PUBG is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as mentioned above. The name is pretty weird and not exactly relevant, and there is a good reason behind it. It is because the creator of the game Brendan Greene was also an avid gamer, and the name he used for his player in the games he played was Player Unknown. All of it makes so much more sense now.

The Rarest Item In The Game

The Virtual Red Bandana is one of the rarest items in PUBG. When the game was launched in 2017, the pre-orders were bundled with the item and was available in loot boxes. After a while, the boxes stopped or rarely featured the bandana so its rarity increased manifolds. Kotaku reported the same year that a user bought the in-game item for as high as US$ 1000 (Rs. 69,000).

    Most Simultaneously Played Game

PUBG holds the world record for the most simultaneously played game of all time. In December 2017, the game hit 3,106,358 people playing the game simultaneously. Interestingly, the game broke its own record it made in September the same year. Even today, PUBG is in the top five most played game by current count.

    Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

We all crave for the phrase “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner’ to appear on our screens, announcing our triumph in PUBG. But the phrase wasn’t invented by the game or its creator. It is said during the great depression, a period in the 1930s of economic crisis when people used to gamble. If they played with money and won, they could afford a chicken for dinner. With time, the phrase caught on and became what it is today. Fortunately, we don’t have to gamble to get the chicken dinner for ourselves.

    How Erangel Got Its Name

Erangel is the most recognised and the primary map in PUBG. But does the name mean anything or is it just fictionary? The name Erangel was inspired by the creator Brendan Greene’s daughter Eryn. So combining ‘Eryn’ with ‘Angel’ gives us one of the most recognisable places by any gamer who has played PUBG.

    Bots In PUBG Mobile

If you’ve been playing PUBG Mobile for a while now, you would know that the game has bots in places. They are AI generated players that are purposely bad at shooting. But why introduce them in the first place when there is no lack of players in the game? It is said to ease new players to the game, they are made to play in a game with mostly or all bots. This is said to be done until level 10. It is subjective, but many people still think bots ruin the intense, action-packed gaming experience that it so promises.

    PUBG Advertisements

The parent company of PUBG for PC and consoles, Bluehole corporation didn’t spend any money on advertising the game. It is claimed to be because the word of mouth was so strong that they didn’t need to. On the other hand, PUBG Mobile is one of the first mobile games to have its advertisements broadcasted on television in India. This should give you an idea of how popular the game really is.

    Pochinki Is Real!
    Real Life Pochinki In Russia

If you’ve played the Erangel map in PUBG enough, there is no need to introduce what Pochinki is. The location on the map has become famous due to it being in the middle and having good hiding spots. But did you know there are several rural localities in Russia named Pochinki? And that Yasnaya Polyana, another famous spot on the map is a writer’s house museum, and also the former house of famous author Leo Tolstoy. Guess there is more to reality than is to fiction in PUBG.

According to the company, cheating is defined as using inappropriate programs, bug abuse, etc and can result in a permanent ban. So if you get banned for 100 years, make sure your grandchild takes home the chicken dinner for you.

10 Amazing Facts About How Mario Was Born

We all grew up playing it. We grew up, obsessing about ‘The’ ultimate game. But do we really know anything else about Mario other than the fact that he’s a brick breaking, flower shooting, turtle hunting, plumber?

    1. Nintendo president, Hiroshi Yamauchi was desperate to try and break into the arcade games division in North America but they turned out to be a complete disaster to the American consumers with the game, Radarscope.

    2. In 1979, Nintendo hired Shigeru Miyamoto who was then simply an in-house artist, to create a game that would salvage the situation. And indeed, it did. Donkey Kong was born.

    Artist, Shigeru Miyamoto

    3. Before Mario became Mario, Donkey Kong was loosely conceptualised on Popeye. However, since Nintendo lost the exclusive rights to the cartoon series, Miyamoto was left with his own imagination.

    4. Donkey Kong was about a carpenter who had to save his girlfriend from his pet gorilla. This little carpenter helped Nintendo hammer its way into the American arcade game scene. Donkey Kong sold over 65,000 units, totally.

    5. That carpenter then, was called ‘Jumpman.’ However, everyone knew that Jumpman didn’t identify with the American audience and Nintendo had to come up with something approachable.

    6. Many wouldn’t know that Mario is named after, Mario Segali. Who was he? He was the Nintendo warehouses landlord that barged into their office asking for his rent. Hence, Arakawa named him Mario and the rest was history, as they say.

    mario bros

    7. Mario debuted in his own game in 1981 with ‘Mario Bros.’ It was about him and his brother, Luigi, who were now plumbers, trying to complete various tasks in order to save the day.

    8. Mario Bros has sold 200 million units till today but this still wasn’t the winner for Nintendo till Super Mario came out in 1983 (that sold 500,000 famicoms within 2 weeks) Never thought a couple of plumbers could do that, did you?

    9. Design wise, it’s interesting to note that an artist instead of a programmer, created this iconic game. But this is exactly what Nintendo needed in order to break into other markets. He was fresh with his ideas and lent a story-like element to the game.

“I didn’t know how to make a really cool character..so I made Mario.” – Shigeru Miyamoto

    10. When Mario was first created, he had a bright red cap because it was tough to animate hair and make it move and he had a thick moustache so that the makers didn’t have to draw a mouth. He wore bright overalls so that he was easily visible too.

    mario 2

Miyamoto is a world famous name today, with other iconic games like legend of Zelda series, Star Fox, Wii Sports/ Play/ Fit. And Mario then went on to evolve into a three dimensional character with numerous versions of the basic game, like Mario Kart, Mario Space, Mario Golf, coming out. However, no one could replace the originality and simplicity of the first game and the characters it involved.

Today, either the sheer simplicity of Mario the plumber would get lost or we would finally get to witness Mario’s world through an Oculus Rift. While some might call it outdated, others would do anything to bring a part of their childhood memories back. Which one would you be?

The makers of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 claim that this is “the most advanced chip they have ever made.” Naturally then, this has to be fitted onto the most advanced phones of its time.  This is a huge improvement from the OnePlus One as it will be able to take both front and back camera pictures without a drop in superior quality, the 4G LTE connectivity will be smooth and the gaming experience will also be pleasurable. However, the One Plus 2 has an Alert Slider at the side of the phone itself, which allows you to slide between the options of no notifications, some notifications and all notifications. So, you can toggle between the three, at your own convenience.
