  • Apple To Release A 5G iPad Pro In 2020

Apple To Release A 5G iPad Pro In 2020

5G technology is a part of the hottest connectivity buzz right now, with smartphone brands gearing up to release 5G variants of their flagship devices in the immediate future. For instance, Motorola launched a 5G mod for the Z3 smartphone and Samsung released a 5G variant of the S10 which is scheduled to release soon. All things said, Apple is also looking to enter the market with a 5G device, but considering the recent conflict between Apple and Intel, such a device may not be seen anytime soon. However, recent reports suggest that the company may launch a 5G variant of the iPad Pro in not-so-distant future.

    5G Connectivity In iPads

As per noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will unveil a total of two iPad Pros in 2019, which will include an 11-inch variant and a second variant with a large 12.9-inch screen. This is not exactly surprising, since Apple always releases two iPad Pros every year, but the elephant in the room is the fact that Apple is planning to incorporate 5G modems in the future iPads, which will be released by early 2021 or late 2020. Yes, that’s a long way to go, especially since Apple is facing issues with its 5G chip manufacturers at the moment.

The present iPad Pros, including the iPad Pro 12.9 and iPad Pro 11 have complete LTE support, which means that users can insert a 4G SIM card and use 4G internet on the device, implying that Apple can surely be expected to bring 5G support to its future iPads. Apple recently released the iPad Air and iPad Mini, which received rave reviews from users. Apple is speculated to release its first 5G iPhone in the year 2020, which implies that customers will have to wait a long time before they see the same connectivity being implemented on an Apple device. Nonetheless, the American company is also gearing up to release the iPhone XI later this year, and fans are surely looking forward to the same.

  • Apple To Launch iPad Mini 5 And Entry Level iPad Next Year

Apple To Launch iPad Mini 5 And Entry Level iPad Next Year

After launching the new iPad Pro this year, it seems like Apple might also launch a new iPad Mini. This will be the fifth-generation of the iPad Mini. That is not all, the tech giant will also reportedly launch a 10-inch entry level iPad as well. What’s more, the report also claims that this will all happen in the first half of 2019. The entry level iPad is also said to be available in two versions.

The iPad Mini has been long due for an upgrade with the last variant coming out in 2015. After the launch of that model, the only changes the iPad Mini received was a few price cuts. However, things were looking up as few reports had detailed that Apple would launch an iPad Mini this year, along with the iPad Pro and the new MacBook Air. Unfortunately, we did not see that happen. But things might change with the introduction of this so called, ‘low-cost’ iPad Mini.

    The New iPad Pro

The iPad Mini 5 is said to have an upgraded processor and a lower cost display panel. The new entry-level iPad will replace the 6th generation 9.7 inch iPad. The new iPad is said to have a 10 inch display with a much narrower frame. The entry level tablet is expected to carry on some design elements from the 2018 iPad Pro, but won’t be as sleek as the same. It is, however, expected to have Apple Pencil support, just like its predecessor.

With a decline in iPad sales over the years, Apple is looking for avenues to ensure that its popular tablet is back in the spotlight. It will also look to cut costs, to ensure a cheaper price for the new iPads. One such example is the reported plan to shift to Korean made LED displays from the current Japanese LED displays.

  • Apple Accepts Some iPad Pros Ship Slightly Bent, Calls It ‘Normal’

Apple Accepts Some iPad Pros Ship Slightly Bent, Calls It ‘Normal’

The iPad Pro 2018 was introduced last month. The new iPad  carries a brand new design language and a killer performance, which is worthy to even replace a laptop, in some cases. The new design features slim bezels on all sides and the lack of a home button. The rectangular build sure does look great, but ran it to some problems soon after its release. Users started complaining that the new iPad Pro can be easily bent, thus comprising the integrity of the device. Now, Apple has confirmed that some of the iPads may ship bent. But they do assure customers that this will not affect the performance of the device.

    The ‘Bendgate’

Apple says the the bend is a side effect of the manufacturing process involved in making the iPad Pro. A cooling process involving the iPad Pro’s metal and plastic components, results in this bend. They say that this should not worsen over time or negatively affect the performance of the device. Most interestingly, Apple does not consider this to be a defect. This is not limited to just one variant and both the 11 inch and 12.9 inch model of the iPad Pro can exhibit this.

The statement from Apple is not something that they have admitted to on their own. This is a response to many customers after they took to social media to state that their iPad Pro’s developed a slight bend, without any rough usage or mistreatment of the device. Users also said that they had never applied any extra stress to the iPad Pro.

Recently, a video by Jerryrigseverything showed him bending the iPad Pro into half without much of an effort. However, Apple still stands by the quality of its iPad Pro. A lot of experts also said that the video was a bit biased and is more of a publicity stunt. Apple claims that the device is extremely thin and is spread over a large surface area, therefore making it more susceptible to this issue. However, no one has reported this issue causing any issued in the working of the device and the iPad Pro is still the best tablet in the market right now.

  • Apple Updates The iPad Pro With Face ID And USB C Ports

Apple Updates The iPad Pro With Face ID And USB C Ports

Apple has updated the iPad Pro models and removed the Touch ID and Home Button. Apple has also replaced the lightning connectors with a more efficient USB C port  and added Face ID with a 3D depth camera. Apple claims that the company sold more iPads last year than the entire notebook lineup of all of the biggest notebook vendors.

The new iPad Pro models will be available in two sizes 11-inch and 12.9-inch. The 11 inch model has an 11 inch display that fits in the same size as the 10.5 inch iPad Pro and prices start at $799. The 12.9 inch has reduced dimensions because the screen size remains the same but Apple has considerably reduced the bezels on the iPad. The larger 12.9 inch iPad Pro will start at $999.

Apple calls the display, same as the iPhone XR, the “Liquid Retina” display. And has reduced the bezels on all sides. The iPad Pro models become the first iPad’s without Apple’s Home Button, or Touch ID. Apple has also removed the headphone jack and now apart from the quad speakers the iPad Pro also have USB C ports.

The Face ID is available both horizontally as well as vertically and will allow Apple to bring Animoji’s and FaceTime calls filled with emojis for iPad users. The iPad Pros get Apple’s new A12X Bionic chip with an 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU which is basically an upgraded version of what was launched with the iPhone XS, XS  Max and XR.

The iPad Pro’s now offer great functionality for additional usage throughout the USB C ports for example all MacBook dongles will now work on the iPad Pro. This port will also allow external monitors to be connected to the iPad Pro. User will also be able to charge their iPhones, or any other devices through the USB C ports.

The 12 MP main camera allows 4K 6-fps video and is the same sensor seen on the wide side on the iPhone XS, or the exact same sensor in the iPhone XR. Apple includes an 18 watt charger in the box, and users will be able to use after charger like, MacBook chargers to charge up the iPad Pro quicker.

The new Apple Pencil also is redesigned, it attaches to the iPad Pro magnetically and charges wirelessly. Tapping the screen with the pencil will wake the iPad Pro and Apple has included other gesture capabilities for the Apple Pencil.

  • Apple Sends Invites For October 30th Event : New iMacs & iPads Expected

Apple Sends Invites For October 30th Event : New iMacs & iPads Expected

Apple has sent out media invites for an October 30th event. The invites sent out to people had different versions of the Apple logo design. They only had one line stating “There’s more in the making”. We feel this would see the launch of the new iPad, Mac Mini and more. The event is for next Tuesday, October 30. It will be taking place at New York’s Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House. Apple usually launches products right before the holidays since they cannot fit in all the product launches in the flashier and much more peppier iPhone launches every year.

    What to expect

Apple leak experts say that one can expect new iPad models. Apple might ditch the home button on the iPad, like they did on their iPhones. A news website that follows Apple closely has also stated that the launch may involve several Mac models and the iPad Pro. If they decide to do away with the home button, one can expect the Face ID technology to be a part of the iPad. Reports also suggest that this year’s iPad Pro will switch over from Lightning to USB-C.

There might also be a new successor to the Macbook Air with slimmer bezels and a high resolution Retina display. A new Mac Mini is in the making and it might see it’s release in this event as well. The company may also share details for iOS 12.1 and the upcoming watchOS update. Speculations suggest that iPads may have been used to create the unique invite designs, which Apple often markets as devices to create and explore for artists.

We are not sure why the Steve Jobs Theatre at Apple Park is not chosen for the event as is usual and why instead Apple is headed to Brooklyn!

  • New Apple iPad Pro And Apple Pencil 2 Set To Launch

New Apple iPad Pro And Apple Pencil 2 Set To Launch

While most expected to see the iPad Pro to launch along with the iPhone XS and the Apple Watch 4 at Apple’s special event, we were disappointed. However, fresh ‘evidence’ suggests that the iPad Pro will be releasing later this month and we can expect quite a few changes from it. The possibility of a new MacBook, AirPods 2 and even the AirPower charging pad are high.

Apple has reportedly registered new iPad models and a new Bluetooth device with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). This tells us that we can expect not only the new iPad Pro but also the Apple Pencil along with it, which could be the bluetooth device in question. According to a website, Apple has registered A1876, A1980 and A1993 . These registration numbers are similar to those spotted earlier in a Apple file in the Eurasian Economic Commission.

    Specifications

Drawing from previous leaks and renders, the iPad Pro will launch in 12.9 inch and a 10.5 inch variants. It will have LCD panels. The device looks starkly different from previous generation of iPads with thin bezels and the lack of a home button, which hints at the presence of Face ID. The images also show the lack of a headphone jack and a new placement for the Smart Connector, which is towards the bottom middle, on the back. This placement is different and could be because Face ID does not work when you place the device horizontally.

The iPad Pro runs on an unreleased ‘A12X Bionic’ chipset from Apple, according to rumours. This chipset is faster than the A12 Bionic seen in the current iPhone models. It is made using the 7 nm process which might take the battery life and performance of the device to another level. The devices have 4 GB of RAM, with storage options of upto 512 GB.

The launch of the iPad Pro could be towards the end of this month. This time frame also coincides with the launch of the iPhone XR, so it would be a convenient slot for Apple. While there is no confirmation, we hope to see the launch of a new MacBook, the AirPods 2 and AirPower which Apple has been holding back for so long.

  • Apple Launch Event Today : Everything You Need To Know

One of the most anticipated events of 2018 is right around the corner. Apple’s September 12th event is what is on everyone’s mind and the new iPhone range is due to take centre stage. Apart from this, Apple is also rumoured to unveil the AirPods 2 and the Apple Watch 4 and possibly some more devices.

    Launch Event:

The Apple Launch event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theatre on 12th September at 10:00 AM PDT. This converts to 10:30 PM Indian Standard timeThis is 6:00 PM in the United Kingdom, 9:00 PM in UAE and 3:00 AM in Australia. The event can also be live streamed using various methods.

Those owning any apple device such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, or iPod can view it on the Apple TV app. The event can also be live-streamed on Safari and Microsoft Edge for Windows users.

    iPhone:

The iPhone lineup for this year is arguably the most exciting thing about the event. Apple is bound to take a few steps to ensure the growth of its smartphone sales. Which have started to see a slight decline after the initial buzz of the iPhone X. The only solution which will help Apple out of that situation is to expand its customer base.

    Via Spigen

For years, Apple stuck to manufacturing devices and delivering it to consumers. Unlike other manufacturers, Apple doesn’t focus much on market trends and what the consumers exactly want. They focused on bringing the best experience for users, but users never got much of a say in it. This might have started pinching them a little but as Apple is now looking to change their approach and cater to consumers.

We expect to see 3 variants of the iPhone which will cover a wide range of features, sizes and price. The devices will be called the iPhone Xs, the iPhone Xs Plus and the iPhone XC, according to reports. The iPhone Xs and Xs Plus will feature the same design as the iPhone X and will have OLED screens. The iPhone XC on the other hand, will feature an LCD display.

The sole reason for Apple to go in for the iPhone XC is to try to expand their market by offering a cheaper version of the iPhone. So lets find out all the rumours about these devices:

    Design:

The iPhone Xs will sport a 5.8 inch screen while the iPhone Xs Plus has a 6.5 inch display. Both the devices sport a notch and design elements drawn majorly from the iPhone X. They will sport OLED displays and with glass bodies and stainless steel casing.

The cheaper, 6.1 inch iPhone XC on the other hand sports an LCD display. The display design is also based on the iPhone X. The device will sporting a glass body with an aluminium casing. The major design difference with the iPhone XC and the other two variants is the presence of only a single camera on the back.

All three of the devices will reportedly not have a Touch ID button and will fully depend on Face ID for its security. It is also rumoured that Apple will discontinue the 3D touch feature on the devices.

    Processor:

The highlight of the new series of iPhones is the A12 bionic chipset from Apple. This is supposed to be a step up from the existing A11 bionic chip, which is already one of the fastest and most efficient chipsets out there. This is due to the manufacturing process behind the A12 chipset. The A12 chip uses the 7nm process as compared to the A11’s 10 nm process. This reduces the size of the transistors in the chip, allowing more transistors to fit into the same space. Therefore allowing for a better, smoother performance.

The A12 reportedly offers an increase in multi-core usability, supposed to bring up multi-core performance by 25-30%.  The GPU performance is reported to have an even higher increment at 40%. This might not directly translate to gaming performance, according to experts. Analysts predict a real time number of around 25%. The A12 chip also gives a big boost to AI and machine learning. This will incorporate with the operating system to give better battery performance and camera results, according to reports.

    Camera:

    Alleged iPhone XC spotted

It is highly improbable that we will see a triple camera setup on the  new iPhone. Reports indicate an improved sensor on the dual camera setup on the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Plus. Renders and leaks also reveal that the iPhone XC will however, only have a single rear camera. The camera sensors will be an improvement over last year’s devices in all senses. There will be better low light performance and enhanced AI integration to offer support in the portrait mode of the devices.

    Battery:

All the three variants might have improved battery performance, more importantly they should. A flagship device in 2018 should meet numerous requirements to live up to tis name. One of the most important ones is a better battery life. It is obvious that the 6.5 inch iPhone Xs Plus will house a high battery, given its size and the demand from its display unit.  Apart from this, the A12 bionic chipset will ensure better optimisation and longer battery life. Reports also suggest that Apple has worked on improving the idle battery life of the iPhones.

    Price & Other Features:

Recent leaks also show that the devices will have dual SIM capabilities. The pricing of the devices is expected to cover a larger area so as to cater to a bigger consumer base. The iPhone XC is reported to be priced at CNY 5,888 which is around Rs 62,000. The iPhone XS is listed at CNY 7,388 and the iPhone XS Plus is at CNY 8,388 which are around Rs 77,980 and Rs 88,535 respectively.

    iPad Pro:

The iPad Pro is expected to launch in a 12.9 inch and 10.5 inch variant. Numerous leaks and renders based on the said leaks have given us a fair idea about what the device may look like. The new iPad Pro will reportedly sport a sharper, bezel less design. We can also see the absence of a home button which could mean that the device is getting Face ID and that we won’t see touch ID anymore. However, the device will have to be vertical whenever you use Face ID as it doesn’t work horizontally.

It is also reported that the devices will sport an LCD display and not an OLED panel which is a bit disappointing. The iPad Pro will use the new A12X chipset and have 4 GB of RAM, according to reports. Storage will be variable, with options going up to 512 GB.
The iPad Pro will reportedly continue to offer Apple Pencil support and the smaller bezels will mean we will see a smaller device, despite the same screen size. The device is also rumoured to be dumping the lightning port to make way for a USB Type-C port.

The iPad Pro is expected to launch at Rs 54,999 for the 10.2 inch variant and Rs 64,999 for the 12.9 inch variant.

    Apple Watch 4:

Latest reports suggest that Apple will be launching six brand new Apple Watch 4 models at the upcoming event. It is also reported that the devices will all sport ceramic backs and could possibly support LTE.

The device is also said to sport thinner bezels and will reportedly support electrocardiography (ECG) for advanced health tracking. The thinner bezels mean that we will get to see a larger display on a device the same size. The larger display can house more information and better optimisation of apps.

    AirPods 2 & AirPower:

According to multiple reports, Apple is coming up with a successor to the already successful AirPods. The devices are said to sport a series of new features which will enhance the experience further. It is said that we will be able to summon Siri through the “Hey Siri” command rather than tapping the sides of the AirPods. Another widely expected feature is that of the launch of Apple’s AirPower wireless charging mat. This is highly relevant to the AirPods as it is rumoured that the AirPods 2 will support wireless charging.

And that’s not it, the new AirPods 2 are reported to support noise cancellation as well. Adding to this list is a report that they will be splash proof but not entirely waterproof.

    MacBook:

We may be witness to the launch of an upgraded version of the MacBook. However, it is not clear whether this would replace the current 12 inch MacBook or whether it will be a totally different lineup. The new MacBook is reported to have a Touch ID sensor. The MacBook will also lack a TouchBar which we had seen in the MacBook Pro.

Certain speculations about an upgraded version of the MacBook Air is also doing the rounds, but this doesn’t seem too probable in the near future. Following the release of thinner, bezel less laptops at the IFA 2018, Apple might be looking as the new MacBook as an answer to the same.

With a wide range of products expected to be launched at this event, the level of excitement is higher than ever. With the power to change the course of the smartphone market, its time for Apple’s next big move.

  • Apple iPad Pro 2018 Leaked

    Apple iPad Pro 2018 Leaked

The upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2018 has been leaked with full specifications and detailed renders. The iPad Pro is expected to launch in a 12.9 inch and a smaller 10.5 inch variant at the upcoming Apple Launch Event.

    Design:

From the very first glance we can see that the iPad Pro 2018 is starkly different form its earlier variants. We can see the lack of a home button, a sharper design and thin, uniform bezels around the device.

The absence of a home button could hint at the fact that the device is getting a true depth camera and Face ID.  Other than this, the lack of a headphone jack is also noted on these renders. The charging port is at the bottom middle of the device. However, this is right below the Smart Connector, which is placed on the back.

The Smart Connector is used to pair the iPad Pro with a keyboard to increase usability. The move to shift the Smart Connector to the bottom could be because of the fact that Face ID does not work horizontally. Therefore, the new iPad Pro might be used vertically, even for typing.

    Specifications:

Two variants, the 12.9 inch and 10.5 inch iPad Pro are expected this year. However, it is reported that neither of them will have an OLED, rather they will have an LCD panel.

The iPad Pro 2018 is also reported to run on the new A12X chipset. According to rumours, the A12X is going to be made using the 7nm technology which boosts performance and increased battery life. However, the devices are expected to have 4 GB of RAM, with varying storage variants going up to 512 GB.

    Additional Features:

The new iPad Pro will continue to offer Apple Pencil support, according to reports. The slimmer bezels will mean that the iPad Pro 2018 will be smaller in size, despite the same screen size as its predecessor.

    Launch and Price

The iPad Pro 12.9 2018 is expected to be launched at Apple’s annual Keynote event. The event will be held on 12th September. Reports place the 10.5 inch variant to start at Rs 54,999 and the 12.9 inch variant to start at Rs 64,999.

  • Apple Won’t Launch An iPad/MacBook Hybrid Says Tim Cook

Apple Won’t Launch An iPad/MacBook Hybrid Says Tim Cook

Ever since the iPad Pro was launched, there has been a lot of talk around iPads replacing MacBooks in the future. While this sounds nice, it is hard to imagine that right now, considering the number of applications that work on macOS but not on iOS. Apart from the general OS compatibility issue, the maker of iPads and MacBooks itself isn’t sold on the idea. Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc., has reiterated that Apple has no intention of creating a hybrid tablet-notebook device anytime soon.

Six years ago, Tim Cook exclaimed that a MacBook and an iPad hybrid would lead to a lot of trade-offs which adversely impact usability.

Anything can be forced to converge, but the problem is that the products are about tradeoffs. You begin to make tradeoffs to the point where what you have left at the end of the day doesn’t please anyone. You can converge a toaster and a refrigerator, but you know, those things are probably not going to be pleasing to the user.

Six years later and Tim Cook is still not convinced. In a recent interview after Apple’s March 27th event, Tim Cook reiterated what he essentially said about six years ago.

We don’t believe in sort of watering down one for the other. Both [The Mac and iPad] are incredible. One of the reasons that both of them are incredible is because we pushed them to do what they do well. And if you begin to merge the two … you begin to make trade offs and compromises.

It is worth noting that Microsoft has had a fair amount of success with Surface Book lineup, which is essentially a Windows laptop and tablet hybrid. The Microsoft Surface Book lineup has a touch screen, a full-size keyboard and 180-degree foldable design. However, Apple still believes that the MacBook and iPad should not be converged. Both the MacBooks and iPads have been bestsellers in their domain so far. While MacBooks still don’t dominate the laptop industry, iPads have pretty much taken over the tablet industry. Only a handful Android tablets exist that can compete with an iPad.

While a hybrid of iPad and MacBook is far from being a reality, it appears that the iPhone SE 2 might be. At the upcoming WWDC 2018 conference, Apple is expected to launch the Apple iPhone SE 2. For more details, click here.

  • Apple iPad Pro 2018 Will Have A More Powerful Variant Of iPhone X Processor

Apple iPad Pro 2018 Will Have A More Powerful Variant Of iPhone X Processor

Apple is one of the few companies still aggressively making tablets. So much so, that in the tablet industry, it is either an iPad or no tablet. Samsung launches a few tablets as well but, nothing comes near the dominance of iPads. The iPad Pro lineup is another successful iteration of powerful tablets with high-end specifications and premium price tag from Apple. It appears that Apple will continue that in 2018 as the next iPad is expected to be powered by an upgraded version of the iPhone X processor.

Chinese website MyDrivers revealed that Apple’s upcoming iPad Pro models will feature octa-core processors that are actually based on Taiwanese company TSMC’s 7nm manufacturing process. Supply chain sources have indicated that the octa-core processor is tentatively named A11X Bionic chip.

A11 bionic on iPhone 8 Plus Vs Snapdragon 835 on Galaxy Note8

The A11 Bionic chip has already surpassed every Snapdragon 835 running Android phone in benchmark and performance tests and that too with just six cores. With eight cores on the A11X bionic chip, it is safe to assume that the A11X might be the fastest chip on a mobile device in 2018. In the A11 Bionic chip, it was noted that the high-performance cores, called “Monsoon,” are 25 percent faster than the ones in last year’s A10 Fusion while the high-efficiency cores, called “Mistral,” are 70 percent faster than those of its predecessor.

According to a report, Apple has decided to make the A11 Bionic chip even more powerful by adding two more cores to it. Hence, the 2018 iPad Pro devices will come with three Monsoon cores and five Mistral cores. The A11X Bionic chip may come with a next-generation M11 coprocessor and neural engine. This would corroborate with previous reports suggesting that the iPad Pro in 2018 will also have Face ID just like the iPhone X.

The 2018 iPad Pros however, won’t have OLED screens like the iPhone X. This means that it is highly unlikely that the iPad Pro will have a design similar to the iPhone X with barely any bezels and a notch. The bezels might be thinner than the ones currently found on iPads but, for the ease of use, there will be some bezels.

  • Apple iPad Pro Could Get FaceID Next Year

Apple iPad Pro Could Get FaceID Next Year

After unveiling the iPhone X with FaceID, there are reports that the new iPad Pro will have the facial recognition system as well. The frequently reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a note predicting that iPad Pro models released next year will include depth-sensing cameras and Apple’s Face ID tech.

As of now, there is no more information on the subject yet. As always, these rumours need to be taken with a pinch of scepticism as the iPhone X isn’t released yet and Apple has no idea how the consumers will respond to the security system especially since it replaced the beloved TouchID.

The note however, states that the TrueDepth camera could only be offered on the iPad Pro models and not the cheaper priced models. This makes sense as the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models are the flagships in the iPad lineup and Apple already uses Apple Pencil and Smart Connector as differentiators. Another interesting development will be Apple’s decision as to where to place the cameras and the placement of the home button. The existing frame around the display on the iPad Pro is sufficient to have both the TrueDepth cameras and the home button. KGI notes that part of the goal is unifying the user experience between iPads and the iPhone X.

The report also notes that TrueDepth camera being available on both the iPhone and iPad will increase developer adoption. Touch ID automatically switches to Face ID in apps, but the new camera enables new depth features as well.

Again, all 0f this is far from fruition right now as the iPhone X is yet to be launched. Only once the smartphone is available to the consumers and they start using FaceID as the daily security system is when we will know whether this innovation will be carried on to other Apple products or not.

Apple started the event by talking about their responsibility towards the environment. Then came LIAM an intelligent machine/robot that has been two years in development in Apple labs. LIAM is designed to sense and disassemble iPhones and other proprietary Apple Devices, and break them out into components that can then be recycled easily. This Robot/ machine will help Apple reduce their carbon footprint and help get back precious materials like gold, silver and platinum into the recycle chain so they can get back on newer devices and not get discarded in landfills.

    Apple Watch

While no major upgrades of the Apple Watch itself, Apple is offering new colors for their Sports band and new leather band colors. Apple has also dropped the price of the Apple Watch to US $ 299 as the starting price.

    Apple TV

Apple is updating the TVOS today and offering new features for their connected box on the largest screen in your house. The new update brings to you folder support and support for dictation, which will allow you to perform searches or even enter usernames and passwords using Siri.

Siri can also be used to look up for apps in the App store and movies on Netflix. (#win)

    iPhone SE

iPhone Se colorsThe biggest announcement of the day was the launch of the iPhone SE. Apple’s update to the iPhone 5s. Apple claims they sold 30 Million 4 inch devices in 2015 alone and hence they are not yet ready to let go of their small screen size loving audience. Packed with specs almost identical to the iPhone 6s the iPhone SE is offered up at US $ 399 for the 16 GB version in the US and will launch in India for Rs 30,000 for the 16 GB variant.

Apple’s A9 chip powers the iPhone SE, which is the same chip that powers the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. That means the new 4-inch iPhone will be two times faster than the iPhone 5s with three times better graphics performance. You will also get a 12 MP camera and Live photos, but the iPhone SE does not support 3D touch.

    iPad Pro 9.7

The next big announcement was the iPad Pro 9.7. The new iPad weighs less than 1 pound and has the same specs as the iPad Pro 12.9 inch. You will also get Apple Pencil support and four speaker output. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro starts at US $599 for the Wi-Fi model with 32GB of storage and is available up to size variant of 256GB of storage.

Apple’s update to ResearchKit, now called CareKit has a whole slew of new features to allow users to monitor their health and share it with loved ones and care professionals like doctors. This opens up new opportunities in the health care system and allows people to manage everything related to their health or treatment online on iCloud and on the go.

Care Card helps people track their individual care plans and action items, such as taking medication or completing physical therapy exercises. Activities can automatically be tracked and entered using sensors in Apple Watch or iPhone

Symptom and Measurement Tracker lets users quickly record their symptoms and how they’re feeling, like monitoring temperature for possible infections or measuring pain or fatigue. Progress updates could include simple surveys, photos that capture the progression of a wound or activities calculated by using the iPhone’s accelerometer and gyroscope, like quantifying range of motion

Insight Dashboard maps symptoms against the action items in the Care Card to quickly show how treatments are working; and

Connect makes it easy for people to share information and communicate with doctors, care teams or family members about their health and any change in condition.

9.7-Inch Apple iPad Pro to Feature 12MP Camera

When Apple brought out the powerful, ginormous iPad Pro, it was certain that the 12.9-inch tablet would reach only the wealthy few (being priced at $1079). Cut to 2016 and rumours of a 9.7-inch iPad Pro variant began that reignited hope for a powerful yet affordable tablet for Apple fans. It is rumored that the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will feature essentially the same features as its elder sibling.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is said to be powered by the A9X chipset, include 4GB of RAM, feature quad-speakers, and support both the Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard. The one area missing from speculations was regarding the rear camera, which today’s rumour claims will be at 12MP, much like the one found in the iPhone 6s.
