    Xiaomi Launches The Mi 9 In China

    Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship, the Mi 9 in an event in Beijing, China. The smartphone offers top-tier specifications and has a glass sandwich design. The device is targeted towards power users who don’t want to spend a lot of money on a smartphone.

    Build & Features

    The Xiaomi Mi 9 measures 155 x 75 x 7.6 mm and weighs 173g. The device features an all-glass design on the front and the rear. For protection against scratches and drops, the display on the smartphone has Gorilla Glass 6. The back of the smartphone features a holographic gradient design and houses the triple rear cameras with the company’s branding. It sports a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 px. The screen has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a screen to body ratio of 90.7%. The device has an in-display fingerprint sensor and supports Face Unlock.

    The Mi 9 has a triple rear camera setup which comprises of a 48 MP, f/1.75 Sony IMX586 sensor combined with a 16MP, f2.2 ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP, f/2.2 telephoto sensor. The device has a 20MP selfie camera which is housed in the waterdrop notch above the display. The device can shoot 2160p video at 30fps and is capable of shooting super slo-mo video at 960fps. Under the hood, the Mi 9 runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC which is manufactured using a 7nm architecture. It has an Octa-core CPU combined with an Adreno 640 GPU.

    The smartphone has a 3300mAh battery with fast charging support up to 27W. Noteworthy, the latest Xiaomi flagship also supports wireless charging. In addition to the regular variant, the company has also announced its Explorer Edition variant which has a transparent back and higher RAM and ROM storage. Additionally, t at the event announced a special edition of the Mi 9. The Mi 9 will be available in following storage variants:

    • 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM
    • 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM
    • 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM (Mi 9 Explorer Edition)

    Xiaomi has also launched a wireless charging power bank with a battery capacity of 10,000mAh at the event along with the Mi 9.

    The Xiaomi Mi 9 has been launched at a price of CNY 2,999 (around Rs 32,000) for the base model and CNY 3,299 (around Rs 35,000) for the version with 8GB of RAM. The Explorer Edition has been priced at CNY 3,999(around Rs 42,000). Unfortunately, the company has not provided any information about its India launch.

    Huawei Confirms It Will Launch The P30 On March 26

    Huawei launched its current flagship device, the Mate 20 Pro late last year. The smartphone received raving reviews for its commendable performance and innovative camera capabilities. Seems like Huawei is looking to step up their game with their new flagship, the Huawei P30. Reports and leaks of which have been widespread for a few weeks. In a freshly shared Tweet, the company has announced the launch date and venue of the anticipated device.

    The tweet reads “Rules were made to be rewritten. Paris, 26.03.2019”. The hashtag used in the tweet confirms that the device the company is planning to launch at the event is indeed the P30. The video shared also shows off what seems like the lossless zoom feature of the device. The device will be unveiled in Paris on March 26.

    Huawei P30 Specifications

    The P30 will be Huawei’s next flagship for most of 2019, so it is expected to offer top-tier specifications. According to the leaked images of the device, it will feature a glass-sandwich design with high screen-to-body ratio display that has a waterdrop style notch up top. The smartphone may feature a gradient back similar to the Mate 20 Pro. A surprising addition to the smartphone in the renders is the revival of the headphone jack as Huawei previously removed the headphone jack from the P20. The smartphone is expected to pack the latest HiSillicon Kirin 980 SoC which is also present on the Mate 20 Pro. The chipset is based on 7 nm architecture and comprises of an Octa-Core CPU and Mali G76 GPU.  A Pro variant of the smartphone is also assumed which will feature better optics. Both the smartphones may have up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of Internal Storage.

    The notable feature of the smartphone will be its camera performance. The P series by Huawei is known for its innovative features in the cameras. According to the leaked images, the P30 will feature three rear cameras while the elder P30 Pro will have a quad rear camera setup. Unfortunately, details about the camera sensors aren’t known yet. However, both the devices are reported to feature a 40MP main camera sensor. While the second and third camera will make use of a sensor capable of 3x optical zoom and an ultra wide angle sensor. As shown in the announcement video, the smartphone will support 5x lossless zoom. The fourth lens on the Pro variant may either be a monochrome sensor as found on the P20 Pro or a depth sensor like the one present on the Samsung Galaxy A9. Both the smartphones are reported to have a 24MP selfie camera.

    Samsung Announces Galaxy Tab S5e With AKG Acoustics

    Samsung is all set to launch its 2019 flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S10 lineup along with a foldable smartphone.  The new devices will be launched at the Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event which is scheduled for the 20th of February. Days before the event, the company has announced yet another praiseworthy product in the form of Galaxy Tab S5e. 

    Galaxy Tab S5e Design and Features

    The Galaxy Tab S5e has a modern design with thin bezels around the display and a sleek side profile. The table measures 245 x 160 x 5.5 mm and tips the scale at 400 grams. On the front of the device sits a 10.5 inch Super AMOLED display that has a 16:10 aspect ratio. The display panel has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 px and a pixel density of 287 ppi. The top bezel of the tablet houses an f/2.0 aperture equipped 8 MP selfie camera that has a pixel size of 1.12 ultra micron. The large pixel size camera sensor enables the device to capture well-lit pictures even in unfavourable lighting conditions.  

    The right side of the Galaxy Tab S5e houses the volume rockers, SIM card slot and the power button that doubles as a fingerprint sensor. The device has a total of four speakers, out of which two sit on top and two sit on the bottom. The rear of the tablet is occupied by a 13 MP camera, Samsung branding and AKG logo. AKG is an Austrian company that is famous for its headphones and microphones. The company is now owned by Samsung and the logo behind the Galaxy Tab S5e conveys that the device has admirable audio output. The device can also capture 2160p videos at 30fps from the rear camera and 1080p videos at 30fps from the front shooter. 

    Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S5e packs the Snapdragon 670 SoC which is comprised of Adreno 612 GPU and an Octa-Core CPU. Connectivity options on the tablet include 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and a bottom mounted USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It runs on Android 8 Oreo which is skinned with Samsung’s own UI. The device is powered by a mammoth 7,040 mAh battery that also supports fast charging. In terms of memory and storage, the tablet is offered in two storage variants which are as follows:

    • 4 GB + 64 GB
    • 6 GB + 128 GB

    In addition to the inbuilt storage, the device also supports memory expansion up to 512 GB via a microSD card.

    Samsung has launched a rugged tablet in India called Galaxy Tab Active 2 which is mainly targetted towards the B2B segment. Reputably, the rugged tablet is MIL-STD-810G compliant which ensures that it can easily withstand extreme weather conditions and accidental drops or falls. The device is also IP68 rated which makes it dustproof and waterproof. The watertight properties of the tablet are guaranteed up to 1.5 m underwater submersion for 30 minutes. 

    Galaxy Tab Active 2 Design and Features

    The Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a tough and sturdy build with rear plastic and font glass construction. It measures 127.6 x 214.7 x 9.9 mm and tips the scale at 415 g. The tablet has thin left and right bezels while the top and bottom bezels are quite prominent. It has three physical Android navigation keys that are housed in the bottom front bezel. The top bezel of the device carries the company branding and a 5 MP selfie camera with auto-focus support. It also has a single rear camera setup which consists of an 8 MP sensor and LED flash.  

    The right side of the Galaxy Tab Active 2 is occupied by the power button and volume rockers while the bottom side is occupied by a 3.5 mm audio jack, loudspeaker grille, and a USB Type-C port. The rear of the rugged tablet has a distinctive design which provides it with a tough look. The 4,450 mAh battery and SIM card slot are concealed behind the removable back panel which is sealed shut with the help of four hex screws. In terms of memory and storage, it has 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card.

    On the front of the Galaxy Tab Active 2, sits an 8 inch LCD display which has a 16:10 aspect ratio. The tablet is kitted with Exynos 7870 chipset which is manufactured using 14 nm manufacturing process. The chipset consists of Mali-T830 GPU and a Cortex A53 Octa-Core CPU which is clocked at 1.6 GHz. Connectivity options on the device include 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G VoLTE, GPS, and NFC. The tablet also has a fingerprint sensor which is built into the home button that sits on its front. The device is bundled with a stylus that allows for easy operability if the user has wet or dirty hands. It also has Samsung’s Knox security which is an enterprise security solution that secures the data stored on the device.

    When it comes to truly wireless earbuds, Apple AirPods have been the reigning champions for the longest time. Android users don’t have many praiseworthy options when it is about wireless earbuds. In an attempt to change that, Nokia has brought the True Wireless Earbuds to the Indian market. The earbuds were listed on Nokia India’s official website on February 15 with only black available as a colour option. The earbuds were first launched in October last year in London alongside the Nokia 7.1.

    The Nokia True Wireless Earbuds have a metal build with a compact form factor that looks elegant. The earbuds themselves are lightweight with each bud weighing only 5 grams. For connectivity, the wireless earbuds use Bluetooth 5.0 technology which provides it with seamless multi-device pairing support. Also, Bluetooth 5.0 technology offers a longer range in comparison to older Bluetooth versions. Another noteworthy feature of the wireless earbuds is its IPX4 rating which makes it sweat and splash resistant. According to Nokia, the earbuds offer 3.5 hours of music playback and  4 hours of talk time on a single charge. Also, its carrying case has an inbuilt battery which can provide the earbuds with an additional 14 and 16 hours of music playback and talk time respectively. 

    The carrying case features a USB Type-C port for charging, and also a LED charge indicator for easier accessibility. The Nokia True Wireless Earbuds have 3 different earbud sizes in the box, in S, M, and L respectively. These earbuds, though listed on the website, aren’t available to buy as of writing this story. The listing price of the earbuds on the website is Rs 9,999. In comparison, the Apple AirPods retail in India for Rs 11,999.

    Shortly after announcing the latest Moto G7 lineup in Brazil, Motorola is going live with the sale of their Moto G7 Power in India. The smartphone will be available February 15 onwards, and it can be purchased via Motorola partnered offline stores or online via Flipkart. The reported price for the same is Rs. 13,999. Possibly, the device could be sold for the same price on Flipkart, but nothing can be confirmed as of now. The Motorola Moto G7 Power will be available in a single 4GB+64GB variant. The device is available in a single colour option which is Ceramic Black. 

    Specifications

    The Moto G7 Power weighs 193g, owing to a massive 5,000 mAh battery which is the highlight of this device. Motorola claims that the battery can last for 3 full days on a single charge. Although the rear of the device is made out of plastic, it looks elegant. It has a 6.2 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1512 x 720 px and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The smartphone features the classic wide notch.

    Redmi has finally confirmed the launch date for the Redmi Note 7 in India. The phone will be launched on February 28. This news comes after Redmi India’s official Twitter account confirmed the news and the date of the launch. It has also started sending out media invites for the launch event. The company has also been teasing the launch of the phone for a while now on social media.

    Redmi Note 7 was launched in January in China after Redmi separated from its parent company Xiaomi to become an independent brand. It is the first device by Redmi after it became independent. It is a budget device with a standout feature, it has a 48MP main camera.

    The Redmi Note 7 is a budget device from Redmi. Featuring a 6.3-inch Full HD+ LTPS display with a waterdrop notch. It has Gorilla Glass 5 for protection against scratches. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with an option of 3GB, 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Storage options also include a 32GB and 64GB variants. The device features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

    The standout feature is the dual camera set up at the back featuring a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.8 aperture. This is also paired with a 5MP depth sensor. At the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera embedded in the notch. This is all powered by a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 support. There is also a USB Type-C port on the device, which is rarely seen in a budget device.

    The Redmi Note 7 has been launched in China for the starting price of 999 yuan (Rs 10,500) for the variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The model with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage sells for 1199 yuan (Rs 12,400)while one with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage retails for 1399 yuan(Rs 14,500). There is also no confirmation on which variants Redmi will bring to the Indian market.

    Xiaomi has launched the Mi Home Security Camera Basic in India after teasing it on social media for a long time. Xiaomi plans on expanding its home security portfolio. The security camera offers a plethora of features and will be available on sale starting tomorrow on Xiaomi India’s website. It is priced at Rs 2299 but will be on a discount for a limited time.

    Mi Home Camera Basic

    The Mi Home Security Camera Basic has a 130-degree lens which is capable of recording in 1080p. The maximum frame rate captured by the device is 20fps. The camera is capable of sensing motion through Artificial Intelligence(AI). It is also capable of capturing images and videos in the dark by using 10 940nm infrared dimming lamps. When paired with its app, the security camera offers a talkback feature with voice calls with full duplex voice call design. The camera’s app also has features like picture-in-picture mode for easier multitasking on the phone.

    It also lets users pair multiple cameras and view all of them in one screen with a multiple view feature. This functionality will be supported on some mainstream phones running on iOS and Android. Other features include secure local storage via microSD cards, and cloud NAS storage as well. As far as specifications go, the Mi Home Security Camera Basic has a 5V-1A power input, a microSD card support up to 64GB (above class 10), and a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz support.

    This is the second security camera Xiaomi has launched in the country. Last year, Xiaomi launched the Mi Home Security Camera 360 which had a 360-degree lens. The Mi Home Security Camera Basic will be available starting February 14 in white color on Xiaomi India’s official website for a price of Rs 1,999 for a limited time.

    Nubia Sends Out Invites For The Wearable Phone Launch

    Nubia earlier confirmed that it will launch a flexible device at the Mobile World Congress(MWC) on February 25. More details about the device have surfaced as Nubia has sent out invites for the event. The event will see the launch of the Nubia Alpha, a foldable wearable phone that can be tied around the wrist.

    The event’s uses a tagine “Flex your Life”. It also shows a device with a flexible display. It wasn’t clear what kind of flexible device we could expect, earlier when Nubia made the announcement, but the graphic on the official invitation resembles the shape of a display. The Nubia announcement shows up after companies like Samsung and Huawei have already announced that they will showcase a foldable smartphone at the MWC. Those announcements will both arrive before the Nubia event.

    Nubia Alpha: The Future?

    The Nubia Alpha was shown as a concept back in August. It was a smart wearable that can be tied around a wrist. Nubia didn’t reveal anything about the device and it wasn’t even available to be tried out back then. But it seems that the company is ready with the device and it may be available soon. While the specs of it aren’t known, the Alpha in the trailer looks like a smartphone on the wrist, making the use of a tall, flexible OLED display for its flexible needs. It might also have a Type-C port for charging and a single camera on the front.

    The device may end up looking different than what was shown at the IFA as it was a concept back then. The flexible wearable idea looks to make a compelling case for flexible smartphones and may end up actually proving to be useful. The pricing and availablity of the Nubia Alpha isn’t known yet, but we won’t have to wait long to find out more about the device.

    Coconics, Kerala’s Own Laptop Project, Announces 3 Laptops

    Coconics, Kerala’s own laptop server project, has seen a big leap with the logo of the project being rolled out in PPP mode released by state Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Industries Minister E P Jayarajan handed over the first Coconics laptop to the Chief Minister. Now, Coconics has announced three new models today on the sidelines of the Electronics Manufacturing Summit in New Delhi.

    The three laptop models introduced by Coconics include CC11B, CC11A, and C314A. The CC11B is an 11 inch 2-in-1 and the other two are normal notebooks. These laptops boast of a metal casing and also a  long battery life of up to 8 hours.

    Kerala – India’s First Laptop Manufacturing State

    Coconics is a joint venture of the state-run Keltron, a US-based technology firm UST Global, KSIDC and Acceleron. It is pitched as a unique public-private laptop and server manufacturing company from Kerala. Also, Intel is providing the guidance and technical assistance to manufacture laptops in India under the ambitious ‘Make in India’ initiative.

    The laptops feature some good specifications. The CC11B is an 11 inch 2-in-1 having a FullHD resolution. It has an Intel Celeron N3350 inside coupled with 4GB RAM and a 64GB eMMC storage. It features a Type-C port and has Windows 10 on board. The CC11A has a 11 inch HD display with an Intel Celeron N4000 inside. It has 2GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage. The laptops will arrive with Windows 10 pre-installed.

    The C314A is a little more powerful than the rest. It has a 14 inch HD Display. It has a Intel i3 7I00U inside with 4GB of RAM and 500GB HDD. The laptop also has Windows 10 pre-installed. It is drop resistant and has also been tested for water and spill resistance.

    The laptops will be manufactured at the plant in Monvilla, Thiruvananthapuram. It also has a capacity to produce 2,50,000 laptops annually. The manufacturing plant is ready and an official plant inauguration will happen this month. That’s when the manufacturing of the laptops will also begin. With this, Kerala becomes the first state in India to design and manufacture laptops. The pricing and the availablity of the laptops hasn’t been announced yet.

    The BenQ EL2870U has a quality plastic build that feels solid and sturdy. It measures 657.9 x 476.27 x 194.6 mm and has a net weight of 5.7 kg.     AMD Has Launched The World’s First 7nm Based GPU, Radeon VII In India

    AMD is an American semiconductor company that develops microprocessors, motherboard chipsets and graphics processors. The company has launched its new flagship GPU chip, the Radeon VII in India which is based on its second generation Vega graphics. Noteworthy, it is the world’s first consumer-grade GPU that is manufactured using 7 nm manufacturing technology. According to the company, the new graphics card has 29 per cent better gaming performance than its predecessor, the Radeon Vega 64. 

    Radeon VII Specs and Features

    The Radeon VII from AMD has a total of 60 compute units that have a base frequency of 1400 MHz and a boost frequency of 1750 MHz. The GPU has 16 GB of HBM2 onboard memory that allows it to smoothly run high-end games like Far Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2. The device has a maximum memory bandwidth of 1024 GB/s and an effective memory speed of 4 Gbps via the 4096-bit Memory Interface. The desktop component typically consumes 300W of board power and AMD recommends a PSU(Power Supply Unit) of 750W for the proper functioning of the unit.     The Radeon VII GPU supports AMD’s FreeSync which is an adaptive synchronization technology for liquid-crystal displays that support a dynamic refresh rate. The technology is mainly aimed at reducing tearing and stuttering of the content which is caused by misalignment of frame rate.

    Motorola at an event today in Brazil launched the G7 series. The devices are next in line in the super successful G-series of Motorola. The devices launched today are the G7 Play, G7 Power, G7 and the G7 Plus. G7 Play and the G7 Power are the budget options in the series. The devices offer a mix of modern design with display notches in every offering. All the devices in the Moto G7 series have fast charging support via USB Type-C.

    Moto G7 Play

    The G7 Play is the cheapest device in the G7 lineup. Measuring 147.3×71.5×7.99mm and weighing in at around 149g. The device has a plastic body instead of a glass one like in its older siblings. Featuring a 5.7 inch IPS LCD display with 1512 x 720 px resolution and a notch on the front. The device has an aspect ratio of 19:9. 

    Under the hood, The device has a Snapdragon 632 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. G7 Play’s fingerprint sensor is embedded in the Motorola logo on the back. The phone has a single 13MP f/2.0 camera at the back and a single 8MP f/2.2 sensor on the front. G7 Play has a 3000 mAh battery with 10W fast charging via USB Type-C. The device has stock Android and runs on Android Pie. 

    The device supports Bluetooth 4.2 with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n on board. The phone features an all-new gesture system designed by Motorola. It also has face unlock and a water repellent coating. It will be available in two color options, Deep Indigo, and Starry Black. It will be available at a starting price of R$ 999 (Rs. 19,205).

    Moto G7 Power

    The Moto G7 Power sits right between the standard G7 and the lower end G7 Play. Measuring 159.4x76x9.3mm and weighing in at around 193g, the smartphone features a plastic build at the back. It has a 6.2 inch LTPS LCD display with a resolution of 1512 x 720 px and also features a standard notch on the front. The device also has an aspect ratio of 19:9. 

    Under the hood, The device runs on the Snapdragon 632 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Here too, The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the Motorola logo on the back. The device again has a single 12MP f/2.0 camera at the back with an 8MP f/2.2 sensor on the front. The highlight feature of the device will be the massive 5000 mAh battery which Motorola claims will last for 3 days. Moto G7 power supports fast charging via the 15W charger via USB Type-C. The device also runs on stock Android 9 Pie. 

    The device supports Bluetooth 4.2 with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n on board. The all new Moto actions with features like navigation gestures and face unlock are also available here. The device also has a water repellent coating. It will be available in a single Marine Blue color. The price of the device is R$ 1399 (Rs. 26,895).

    Motorola has finally launched the highly anticipated Moto G7 lineup of smartphones in Brazil which includes the Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Power and Moto G7 Play. 

    Moto G7:

    The Moto G7 measures 157×75.3×7.92mm and weighs in at 174 grams. The smartphone has a 6.24-inch Full HD display with 2270 x 1080 px resolution and small waterdrop notch up top that houses an f/2.2 aperture equipped 8 MP front camera sensor. For securely and swiftly unlocking the device, it has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

    Under the hood, the Moto G7 features the Snapdragon 632 SoC which consists of an Octa-Core CPU and Adreno 506 GPU. The rear of the smartphone harbours a dual rear camera setup which is comprised of an f/1.8 aperture equipped 12 MP sensor and 5 MP secondary sensor. The device can also capture 2160p videos at 30 fps from the rear cameras and 1080p videos at 30 fps from the front camera.

    The Moto G7 is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery which supports fast charging up to 15 watts and runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie. The innards of the handset also have P2i nano-coating which will protect the device against liquid spills and splashes. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and a bottom mounted USB Type-C port for charging and transfer. The device is available in two colour options which are Clear White and Ceramic Black and the price for the single RAM + ROM  variant for is as follows:

    The Moto G7 Plus like the standard G7 has a 6.24-inch display with 2270 x 1080 px resolution and a waterdrop notch. The device is kitted with the Snapdragon 636 SoC which consists of an Octa-Core CPU and Adreno 509 GPU. For photography, the device has a single 12 MP front camera and dual 16 MP + 5 MP rear cameras.   

    In terms of connectivity, the Moto G7 Plus supports dual 4G VoLTE, 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and a bottom mounted USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The smartphone is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery which supports Turbocharging up to 27 watts and runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie.

    Honor launched the View20 smartphone with an attractive design late last year in China. At the start of this year, the company shared its India launch teasers and the device has now been launched in the country. Going by its price and specifications it will go head to head with devices like the OnePlus 6T and Samsung Galaxy A9.

    Design:

    The Honor View20 has a beautiful design with an all-glass front and rear build. The front of the device features a high screen-to-body ratio display with minimal bezels. The rear of the device has a striking appearance with a gradient colour glass panel. The right side of the Honor View 20 accommodates the power button and the volume rockers while the SIM card slot sits on the left. The USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grille are placed on the bottom while the top side of the handset is occupied by an IR blaster, 3.5 mm audio jack and secondary microphone pinhole. 

    Display and Chipset:

    The Honor View20 has a 6.4-inch display with a screen-to-body of 91.8%. The display panel of the smartphone has a resolution of 2310 x 1080 px and a pixel density of 398 ppi. Under the hood, the device packs the Kirin 980 SoC. The chipset is manufactured using 7 nm fabrication process and it consists of an Octa-Core CPU and Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. The Octa-Core CPU is divided into three separate cluster cores which are as follows:

The primary dual camera setup is located on the top left side at the back of the smartphone which is divided into two separate modules. The dual rear camera setup consists of an f/1.8 aperture equipped 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor and a TOF 3D Stereo Camera. The TOF stereo camera allows the Honor View20 to capture 3D image of objects which can be used for Virtual Reality applications like game designing.

    In terms of connectivity, the Honor View20 supports 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, NFC, GPS and a bottom mounted USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The handset is powered by a large 4,000 mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 20 watts. The Honor View20 also has an “S-shaped heat pipe” that cools a wide area of heat to guarantee sustained peak gaming performance. For securely and rapidly unlocking the device, it also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Other sensors on the device include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, digital compass and gravity sensor. The Honor View20 runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie which is skinned with Magic UI 2.
