On the core of the HTC One Max is a 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 chipset and Adreno 320 GPU, you get 2 GB RAM and 16/32 GB storage along with microSD expandability upto 64 GB. The back of the HTC One Max has a new set of features, including a new Ultrapixel camera which retains the 4 Megapixel 1/3″ sensor but adds a lager 2 micron pixel size. The front facing camera is a 2.1 MP wide angle shooter, and both cameras capture burst shots with zero shutter lag and 1080p full hd video.

The HTC One Max comes with Android 4.3 and HTC Sense 5.5 which adds a flurry of new features to the HTC One Max’s interface, including a newly revamped BlinkFeed which allows subscription to custom topics and websites. And great new video highlights and Gif maker add-ons in the camera interface among many other UI elements. The back of the HTC One Max is removable , but only to access the MicroSD and MicroSIM slots, the black square at the back of the HTC One Max is a fingerprint scanner that can record upto a maximum of 3 fingers to be used to either unlock the device securely or launch applications. HTC might enable more finger recognition if the consumer feedback may so agree. HTC has also retained the HTC BoomSound speakers adding more sound, thanks to the lager available space on the HTC One Max, we can certify that the sound is definitely much better than on the One.

HTC has also launched a new 30% battery case that adds another 30% battery life to the HTC One Max’s already huge 3300mAh battery, a new BoomBass Speaker that makes the HTC One Max a 2.1 enabled device, the new Mini + Bluetooth Accessory and a new device finder called HTC Fetch. Stay tuned for details on those.

  • Apple iPhone 5s User Guide Allegedly leaks, Fingerprint sensor called Touch ID

Apple iPhone 5s User Guide Allegedly leaks, Fingerprint sensor called Touch ID

With Apple’s iPhone event a mere hours away, a new leak showing off the user guide for the supposed “next generation iPhone, the iPhone 5s” has surfaced. 9to5Mac reports that the “alleged” leaked document from Nowhereelse.fr is the inlay “quick user guide” that all iPhone owners are accustomed to, which shows that the home button is also a Touch ID sensor aka fingerprint reader.

    manuel-iphone-5s

To unlock the iPhone with the fingerprint reader, an iPhone 5S user simply clicks and holds their finger/thumb down on the sensor for a few seconds. It is unlikely that the sensor login and passcode could be used in tandem. There will be a preference in the iPhone’s Settings app to disable the sensor. – says 9to5Mac

Touch ID as a name could also mean that the sensor will only act as an unlock security and not as a app launcher or shortcut initiator, as it would on a laptop. Also to note is that Apple will be selling the phones with color matched wallpapers out of the box as the would on the iPhone 5C, whose packaging and box was leaked last week.

Micromax had recently launched the Micromax Canvas 4 A210 and this will be the second iteration of Micromax’s high build quality phones. The company is planning to demonstrate better builds with their latest handsets, but the inclusion of merely a MT6589 vs MT6589T that the competition is using may turn out to be a disadvantage for the company. The Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 may be dubbed as the A240 and will feature a HD 5.7 inch display. If the company does end up using the MT6589T chipset they might actually bump the screen resolution to 1920 x 1080 px as seen in the iBerry Auxus Nuclea N1. The top flap of the phone around the camera will open up to make space for the two sim cards. It is also expected that the phone may not have expandable storage.

Update: It appears the above images are of the MyPhone Iceberg (A Philippines based brand), the same phone is going to be the Canvas Doodle 2.

  • Apple Supplier Report Reveals Plastic Back Casing For Budget iPhone

Apple Supplier Report Reveals Plastic Back Casing For Budget iPhone

Rumblings of a low-cost, plastic iPhone have been popping up on a fairly frequent basis throughout 2013, and today the rumored device is making headlines once again.

Apple’s future plan to introduce a plastic device is confirmed within this morning’s shocking report into labor abuses at manufacturing partner, Pegatron.

As part of the investigation, China Labor Watch inserted people inside three of Pegatron’s factories. In one of these reports it confirms the future debut of a plastic iPhone:

“Today’s work is to paste protective film on the iPhone’s plastic back cover to prevent it from being scratched on assembly lines. This iPhone model with a plastic cover will soon be released on the market by Apple,”the report explains.

“The new cell phone has not yet been put into mass production, so quantity is not as important,” a worker wrote. “This makes our job more slow paced than in departments that have begun mass production schedules.”

In addition, China Labor Watch’s company profile notes that Pegatron is responsible for building “low-priced plastic iPhones” for Apple, in addition to the iPhone 4, 4S and the 5.

The report accuses Pegatron of violating labor regulations in China, as well as international labor laws and Apple’s own standards.

Photographs allegedly detailing the new iPhone’s packaging were uploaded to the Chinese forum WeiPhone over the weekend. The name iPhone 5C is printed on the side of the box, possibly leaking the name of the device.

  • 2015 Facelifted Nissan Sunny Leaked?

    2015 Facelifted Nissan Sunny Leaked?

Images of the 2015 facelifted Nissan Sunny have been leaked on to Chinese auto site Sohu. Introduced at the 2010 Guangzhou Auto Show, the Sunny is expected to be given a mid-cycle refresh and the images shown here come from China, where the refreshed Sunny could go on sale first. According to the Chinese media, the new Sunny could make its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show in September.

From the grainy pictures, the biggest change will evidently be to the headlights with the Sunny getting boomerang-style units as seen on the new Nissan Micra. Other changes to the grille and front bumper are in the works with a new housing for fog lights and the addition of a chrome strip.

    Sunny

A bigger chrome strip finds its way to the rear-end of the sedan, and a restyled bumper can be seen. New alloy wheels make up all the changes to the sides, and the interiors are expected to be the same as well. All in all, as it stands, the mid-cycle refresh isn’t a major overhaul, but only time will tell whether this will really be the production model, or if more changes are yet to be executed.

  • New Nexus 7 To Debut Next Week, Video And Specs Leaked

New Nexus 7 To Debut Next Week, Video And Specs Leaked

The Nexus 7 sequel has been on the docket for a long time, and rumoured specifications have been floating around for months — a 7-inch 1280×800 display, a quad-core Snapdragon 600 SoC, 2GB RAM, a 1.2MP front-facing camera, 5MP rear camera, Android 4.3 — but nothing has been confirmed.

Today Google started sending out invites to a “breakfast” conference being held next week with Android head, Sundar Pichai, but Engadget got their hands on an internal OfficeMax document stating that the “new Google Nexus 7″ is also launching next week. Coincidence? Probably not.

    nexus 7

The device is expected to launch at $229 USD for the 16GB model, increasing to $269 for the 32GB version. Not the $199 we saw the original debut at, but this is a much more powerful machine.

The more interesting info comes from Android Central, who got their hands on the device itself. “we have no idea if what we see here is a finished product, or prototype,” cautions the site, but the pics certainly look legitimate.

    nexus 7

The only change from previously rumoured specs according to Android Central being the inclusion of 4GB of RAM (unlikely) and a slower Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC. And, of course, it will be manufactured once again by Asustek.

    [youtube id=”HXrcUyCVA6c” width=”100%” height=”300px”]

The new design appears to mimic its predecessor. The Nexus insignia on the rear is similarly placed as before, as are the various buttons, rockers and ports. There are two speakers on the device, which will provide stereo sound playback and hopefully be an improvement over the original.

    nexus 7

The design is also slightly more squared-off than last year’s model, but we can’t be sure if what we’re seeing is a prototype or a finished product.

    nexus 7

Google is also expected to launch Android 4.3 next week, a small but important update to the current software. The existing Nexus 7, as well as the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 should receive the new version in the weeks following the announcement.

For its part, Apple is also expected to refresh its 8-inch tablet in the not-so-distant future.Recent rumors suggest that a new version of the iPad mini will launch alongside a redesigned iPad 5 this fall, though it doesn’t sound like it’ll get the Retina treatment.
