OPPO Realme 1 Launched In India Starting Rs 8990

OPPO has unveiled its new sub-brand for India, Realme. Under the new brand, the company has launched the Realme 1 in India at a starting price of Rs 8990. The smartphone will be available in three variants, one with 3GB RAM/32GB storage, second with 4GB RAM/64GB storage and the third with 6GB RAM/128GB storage. It is an Amazon-exclusive device and the first sale will be on the 25th of May and commence at 12 noon.

The OPPO Realme 1 is an interesting device with a few peculiar decisions taken by the company. Two of the most popular features of a budget smartphone, dual-camera setup and fingerprint sensor are both missing from the smartphone. This can be a deal breaker for many as a fingerprint sensor has become a norm for any smartphone these days.

The Realme 1 has a 6 inch display with a 2160 x 1080 px resolution. This translates into an 18:9 aspect ratio which has become increasingly common these days.

The smartphone runs on the MediaTek MT6771 Helio P60 chipset coupled with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB storage. The onboard storage is expandable via a microSD card in case you run out of the onboard storage provided. Powering the smartphone is 3410 mAh battery which charges via a micro USB slot.

The Realme 1 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with ColorOS 5.0 on top. The custom skin is very similar to skins by Chinese smartphone makers, there is no app drawer and you’ll barely notice the version of Android because of the heavy customisation. There OPPO Cloud for people to store their data on the internet instead of their devices. Clone Apps will let consumers use two separate accounts of the same app, which can come in handy for a lot of people.

The smartphone also misses out on a dual-camera setup, again, a feature that has become the norm. It has a 13MP camera on the back along with an 8MP front-facing camera.

At a starting price of Rs 8990, the Realme 1 is a great competitor for the Redmi Note 5. However, you do miss out on a fingerprint sensor on the Realme 1. The sale of the smartphone begins on May 25th via Amazon.

  • Oppo Teases the Indian Market With the Hint Of N1 Mini

Oppo Teases the Indian Market With the Hint Of N1 Mini

Remember the Oppo N1? Announced way back in September last year, the device featured a unique rotating camera at the top, giving you the capability of taking your selfies in ultra-sharp 13 megapixel quality.

Now, Oppo is teasing the launch of it’s younger sibling, the Oppo N1 Mini, in India. The company on Sunday tweeted an image of the Mini with the text “Revolutionary 24 Mega Pixels Ultra HD Camera, Coming Soon!”. The picture carries the caption “Mini in size, Max on fun”.

    N1 Mini

If you missed the official launch of the N1 Mini back in June, we don’t blame you. It was a silent affair, with no extravagant event or hype. However, it did manage to tell us the official launch specs that the device will carry.

The N1 Mini sports a 5” HD (1280×720) display. Under the hood, it comes with a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 305 GPU paired with a healthy 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of non-expandable storage available. Similar to its bigger brother, it features a 13-megapixel ‘swivel’ camera with LED flash.

    Oppo-N1-hands-on-camera-back-macro

The battery capacity is 2140mAh. The body is 9.2mm thick, and weighs 150 grams. It comes in White, Blue and Yellow colour options. The Oppo N1 recently received a price cut in India, bringing it down from Rs. 39,999 to 32,990. So if Oppo learn from their mistakes and price the N1 Mini competitively, they could have a winner on their hands.

  • Oppo’s Find 7 Will Have 50 MP Camera?

Oppo’s Find 7 Will Have 50 MP Camera?

The Oppo Find 7 will be announced at a press event which takes place in Beijing on the 19th of March, and now a photo has appeared online which was apparently taken with the camera on the handset. An image sample implies an astonishing 50-megapixel rear camera for the Oppo Find 7, news that should make a few heads turn!

    oppo

It’s difficult to judge the quality from one image alone, but this prospect is likely to excite plenty of potential buyers. We also wonder whether Oppo will provide an oversampling option, similar to that offered by Nokia’s PureView technology.

At this point, we know that the OPPO Find 7 will be available in two hardware versions. Both will be based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 solution. One will give a screen with a diagonal of 5? Full HD, while the second will make the jump to the diagonal of 5.5″ and resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

If the OPPO manufacturer is not playing with our patience and will not encounter other technological difficulties, Find 7 will be the first mobile phone with 2K screen, which says much about the ambitions of the new wave of Chinese manufacturers.

Other specifications on the Oppo Find 7 will include 16GB of built in storage plus 3GB of RAM, the device is expected to come with Android 4.4 KitKat.

    Lumia 1020 Rival? Oppo N-Lens N1 Cameraphone’s Render Leaks

Chinese mobile phone maker Oppo recently confirmed plans to bring to the market a new series of highly capable camera smartphones, namely the N-Lens lineup, and the first device in the family appears to have leaked online.

Called the N-Lens N1, it is believed to have a 12 megapixel camera on the back. Now, 12 megapixels doesn’t sound too impressive stacked up against camera phones like the Nokia Lumia 1020, which boasts a whopping 41-megapixel sensor. But the N-Lens N1 is reportedly using an “Owl” image chip, which promises strong low-light performance.

    N-Lens N1

Details about the Oppo N-Lens fisrt appeared a couple of days ago and now we get to see the Oppo N-Lens N1 coming with Xenon flash.

    N-Lens N1

No one knows anything about its specifications and features at this point in time. Though the device itself looks more of a smartphone than a camera, as opposed to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, which definitely resembles a camera more than it resembles a smartphone.

    N-Lens N1

According to online gossip, Oppo’s N-Lens N1 cameraphone will carry a $480 off-contract price tag. There’s no saying when it might launch, though.

Unfortunately, no other details on the upcoming device have been provided as of now, but more should emerge soon, so stay tuned.
