Google Pixel 4 Renders Leaked On Twitter

Google’s flagship smartphone, the Pixel series, are now caught amidst various rumours. Leaks across the internet showcase entirely different form factors and design. One of the most reliable sources from which information can be gathered is from a leakster OnLeaks on Twitter. Google had recently launched its mid-range handsets, the Pixel 3a and 3a XL. Anticipation regarding its upcoming flagship smartphones lineup has been building up nearing its announcement in October. The famous leakster OnLeaks (on Twitter) leaked out planned schematics of the Pixel 4. The 5K renders of the latest Pixel flagship are claimed to be based on prototypes and might undergo slight changes before its actual launch.

The most notable aspect of the renders points at the square camera module, similar to the leaked Apple iPhone XI renders. Google Pixel smartphones are known for their class-leading camera capabilities with its single camera sensor setup. The new leaks have pointed to a dual and, quite possibly, a triple camera module at the rear. This will be the first multi-camera function utilized on the Google Pixel. Renders also highlight the lack of a fingerprint sensor, that is traditionally placed on the back of the company’s smartphones.

The American company might be going for 3D face recognition tech in addition to in-display fingerprint sensor with the Google Pixel 4. Due to an earpiece being seen in the renders, it is safe to assume a notch will be present this year as well. Two speaker grills are seen on the sides of the USB Type-C port, ditching its front-facing speakers seen in previous iterations. Physical buttons for volume and power can be found on the right side of the device with the left being devoid of any seams. Similar to its predecessors, the Google Pixel skips out on the 3.5mm headphone jack.

    Specifications

Finer details regarding the Google Pixel 4 and any of its variants are yet to be discerned. Being a flagship grade device, it is most likely to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC which is one of the few options for high end SoCs. The device from the search engine giant might finally cross the 4GB RAM threshold with alleged benchmarks of 6GB variants being seen. Since it is a Google flagship handset, it is destined to ship with the latest version of Android OS which will be Android Q at the time of launch.

Screen Protector For The Google Pixel 4 Already Available For Pre-Orders

Google is expected to launch its latest iteration of flagship smartphones in the month of October this year. These devices, allegedly called the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, will succeed the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL from 2018. While there is still a considerable amount of time before the company announces the upcoming handsets, early details about them have already started to trickle in leaks and renders. Now, a smartphone accessory maker Skinomi has listed screen protector for the Google Pixel 4 on its website. In the listing, a render of the handset’s front panel is also visible, which reveals its design.

The images showcased on the website of Skinomi exhibit the design of the Pixel 4. It has been reported that Google will opt for a punch hole display for its upcoming smartphone, whose claim is further strengthened by the renders. Also evident from the pictures is the lack of considerable bezel around the device’s display, giving it a modern look. The screen protector for the handset has two cutouts on the top and bottom, which may be for the front-facing stereo speaker setup; which was introduced to the lineup with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in the year 2017. Notably, the listing on Skinomi’s website claims the screen protector will be shipped starting 20th November 2019. It can be pre-ordered now for a price of US$ 8.95 (Rs. 625).

While the render falls in line to the previous leaks regarding Pixel 4, it is recommended to be taken with a grain of salt. Because of the seemingly far launch date of the upcoming smartphone, the image may turn out to be fake. However, considering how much Google received flak for the design of its previous devices, it may not be all that surprising if the company finally decides to take the aforementioned design into consideration. As previously mentioned, the company is expected to unveil the Pixel 4 in the month of October at the Made by Google event.

Latest Pixel 4 Renders Based On Leaks Reveal A Punch Hole Display, Dual Rear Cameras

Google launched the original Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones back in the year 2016. They were the first mobile devices to feature the made by Google branding and were highly appreciated for their software and cameras. Since then, two more generations of the handsets have been announced called the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 series respectively. It is expected that the company will launch the newest Pixel smartphones, presumably called the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL in the month of October later this year. While the announcement is still a few months away, fresh renders of the devices based on previous leaks have already been posted by a concept maker on Twitter. These renders provide an idea of what the handsets may look like at the time of launch.

    Pixel 4 Renders

It is expected that just like every year since 2016, Google will release two devices in the Pixel lineup. As mentioned above, they are assumed to be the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. The renders reveal the upcoming handsets will have a drastically different design than its predecessors. The smartphones are reported to be constructed out of metal and glass like the Pixel 3 series with the same dual tone finish at the back. On the front, however, a large display dominates the exterior with a hole punch style cutout on the top left corner of the display. The right side of the smartphone houses the coloured power button and the volume rockers while the left side remains empty.

The top of the Pixel 4 features just the secondary noise cancellation microphone; while the bottom will have the USB Type-C port and the speakers. Like the Pixel 2 and 3 series, the smartphones are expected to retain a stereo speaker setup and will not feature the 3.5mm headphone jack. The rear is where the Google Pixel 4 might differ from its predecessors the most. There is no physical fingerprint scanner in sight, which insinuates it will be present inside the display; and might be an ultrasonic sensor similar to the Galaxy S10 lineup. All the devices in the Pixel series have had a single rear camera, but the upcoming handsets are expected to feature two cameras on the back. These are reported to be a primary camera combined with an ultra-wide angle lens.

The Pixel 4 series seems to be a major design upgrade over its predecessor; and will compete against the upcoming Galaxy Note, newest iPhones at the time of launch. While the renders of the upcoming Google smartphone seem plausible, it is recommended you take them with a pinch of salt, as there is still time in the official announcement.

  • Codenames For Google Pixel 4 And Pixel 4 XL Revealed

Codenames For Google Pixel 4 And Pixel 4 XL Revealed

2019 seems to be like a big year for Google. Ahead of the anticipated launch of the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, the company is also building up hype for its next flagship devices, including the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL. The device has been spotted twice in the Android Open Source Project, indicating that the company is gearing up for the release of the devices later this year. In recent leaks, the codenames for the Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL and a third unknown pixel device were revealed.

On April 11 2019, a commit (a move to make changes in a code permanent) was posted to the AOSP (Android Open Source Project), which was attempting to correct an anomaly of Android’s SELinux Policy. Regarding the code, the developers were trying to explain the fix for the aforementioned issue using the comments (comments are code lines that are not executed with the code) in the project. The list of internal files provided in the comments includes the codenames of a total of eight devices, out of which two are Panasonic devices, and the remainder are six Google devices.

Four of the aforementioned Google smartphones are already known (Marlin or the Pixel XL, Wahoo or the Pixel 2/2 XL, Crosshatch or the Pixel 3 XL and the Pixel 3a XL), leaving two unknown devices in the fray. Codenamed “Coral” and “Needlefish”, the two devices are the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL respectively. Sources also reveal that a third codename is present, which is unusual for a Pixel device, because the codename is actually Flame”. Since Google has always been using sea-life related codenames for its devices, this is a bit of a surprise, but in hindsight, a fish with the name of “flame angelfish” actually exists.

Furthermore, in a previous Geekbench listing, the alleged Google Pixel 4 is listed under the same codename i.e. Coral, confirming that the Google  Coral is actually the Google Pixel 4. The smartphones were reported to feature the 7nm Snapdragon 855 chipset bundled with at least 6GB of RAM. However, the question which still remains unanswered is the identity of the third unknown device, codenamed “Needlefish”. Rumours say that it may be the much-anticipated Pixel Watch, but nothing can be said for sure. The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are expected to be unveiled in the latter half of 2019.

  • The Pixel 4 Concept Renders We Want Google To Breathe Life Into

The Pixel 4 Concept Renders We Want Google To Breathe Life Into

Late last year Google launched its latest Android smartphones, the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL. Both the smartphones were highly honoured for their stock Android experience and camera prowess but not so much for their looks. A leak in the past claimed that the expected Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will feature a punch hole display like the freshly launched Galaxy S10 lineup. A Twitter user, @PhoneDesigner has created a bunch of Pixel 4 concept renders which look astonishing. Even though the artist has no association with Google, the following renders are highly impressive and we want the company to take note from them.

Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL

As previously mentioned the HD concept renders of the Pixel 4 and 4 XL exhibit an impressive smartphone duo. Both smartphones have a high screen to body ratio display which is surrounded with minimal bezels on all sides. The Pixel 4 XL has dual front-facing punch hole cameras while the Pixel 4 has a single front-facing punch hole camera. The right side of both the Pixel 4 smartphones from the concept render is occupied by the volume rocker and the mint coloured power button which the owners of current Pixel handsets have always fancied.

The rear side concept renders of the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL is reminiscent of the current Pixel lineup. However, it does not exhibit a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, which states an on display fingerprint sensor. The plausibility of this type of biometric unlocking mechanism on the upcoming smartphones is quite high, given most Android flagships from 2019 have this feature. Noteworthy, the Pixel 4 XL concept render reveals dual rear cameras. Pixel smartphones are recognised for their camera performance and a Pixel handset with dual rear cameras would only add up to its saga.

The Palm Sized Pixel 4 Mini We Desire

In addition to the Pixel 4 and 4 XL render, the Twitter user also shared some concept renders of a dainty palm-sized Pixel smartphone. Even though Google has never discussed that a Pixel smartphone this small is in the works, the company can surely take it into consideration. As the newly launched, Galaxy S10e that has a compact form factor is turning a lot of heads globally.

The palm-sized Pixel 4 has a similar layout as the standard Pixel 4 which means it has a single camera on both the front and the back except for a much smaller footprint. Admirably, the second colour option of the mini Pixel 4 in Red and Black colour simply looks breathtaking. Furthermore, the UI in this colour variant matches the exterior colours which again seems fantastic.

The possibility of such a small Pixel smartphone is considerably bleak. However, if Google does plan to launch a similar device this could turn out to be the latest norm of future smartphones.

  • Google Is Planning To Launch Atleast Five Products in 2019

Google Is Planning To Launch Atleast Five Products in 2019

Google started launching devices with its branding with the first generation of Pixel smartphones. Some praiseworthy devices that the company has launched since then include the Google Home smart speakers and Pixel range of smartphones. However, the company has only had a handful of devices to its credit. Fresh Reports claim that Google is working on several new devices, and it might launch a total of five products this year. These are expected to be the Pixel 3 Lite series, the Pixel 4, a new version of Google Home, Pixel smartwatch and a Google Security Camera.

This news arrives after numerous leaks of the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel smartwatch have surfaced on the internet. Other products, like the Google Home refresh and a cheaper Pixel smartphone, also have been due for a while now. These products are expected to make their way to the markets in the coming months.

    Google’s Product Lineup For 2019

One device that company is likely to launch is the Pixel 4 smartphone which will succeed the Pixel 3 lineup from yesteryear. The handset is expected to launch in the month of October this year. It is assumed to have an improved design and upgraded cameras. Going by the company’s past chipset selection, the future Pixel smartphone is likely to run on the latest Snapdragon flagship SoC which is the Snapdragon 855. In terms of memory and storage, the device is expected to be offered in the following storage variants:

    • 6 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM
    • 6 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM

The Google Pixel 3 Lite series is also expected to be unveiled this year. This includes the Pixel 3 Lite and the Pixel 3 Lite XL. The devices have been leaked countless times online and are expected to launch at the Google I/O in May. The leaks suggest that Pixel 3 Lite will feature the Snapdragon 675 while the Pixel 3 Lite XL will feature the Snapdragon 710. Google is expected to target the mid-range smartphone market with these devices. The anticipated smartphones will be available in the following storage variants:

    • 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM
    • 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM

Another product that Google may launch this year will be a revised version of its Google Home speakers. They may launch alongside the Pixel 4 in October and are expected to have an updated design and refined audio quality. The Pixel Smartwatch is another product that is expected this year. It has been leaked several times and will compete against the likes of Apple Watch. Interestingly, it will be the first smartwatch that the company releases.

It will be made in collaboration with Nest, which is an American company best known for making smart home products. The Nest products may be rebranded as the company got integrated into Google early last year. So the Google Home Security Camera could be part of the Google Home range of devices or feature the Nest branding. The device is expected to be announced in October at the Pixel 4 launch event.

    Most Anticipated Smartphones Of 2019

The year 2018 is over and it has been a great year for smartphones around the world. From the notch becoming a trend to retractable cameras and in-display fingerprint sensors. Smartphones saw a lot of innovations this year. However, for 2019 there is a lot more to be seen! Each and every company is racing towards making the experience of using a smartphone better and more immersive and that means the notch has to go. Everything from foldable displays, dual displays, in-display cameras and a lot more can be expected from the year to come. In this article, we find out what the most anticipated phones of 2019 are.

    Samsung Galaxy S10

Rumors were doing the rounds that the Galaxy S10 would have a folding display that Samsung is working on. But now it seems Samsung will have two separate products – the smartphone and the tablet that folds up to become a phone. In a recent event, the company showed us an early prototype of the folding tablet and we might see it sooner than expected.

The base model Galaxy S10 will have a flat screen design with in-display front cameras and will have an edge to edge screen. Leaks also suggest that there will be three different variants of the phone. Two with an Edge display while one without.

    Apple iPhone XI

Apple has always been tight-lipped about their new phones but the 2019 upgrades might not be too revolutionary. It has been widely reported that the iPhone will still feature the notch in its 2019 version and may finally do away with it in 2020. A recent report suggests that Apple is teaming up with Sony to build 3D cameras that will provide more security and will bring about change in the way we photograph and view things.

Sony has also revealed that their 3D camera technology will be ready in 2019 itself and will be mass produced for consumers this year. Apple iPhones are known for their security features and great cameras. the company may use this technology this year itself or save it for the next big design change in 2020.

    OnePlus 7

Oneplus devices are one of the most anticipated devices every year due to their ‘budget flagship’ tag. OnePlus 7 will most probably see it’s launch around midsummer in 2019. The device is anticipated to have a small camera hole under the screen and is rumored to have smaller bezels. The in- display fingerprint sensor stays.

We are still not sure if Oneplus 7 will finally see an IP rating and a wireless charging feature or not but a recently leaked photo shows the company’s executives holding a phone with a huge circular shaped camera design at the back that is reminiscent of the Lumia 1020.

Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 4

Users were extremely unhappy to see the hideously big notch on this years Pixel device. Google being new to the hardware space, might take a little time to understand the trends in the smartphone industry. However, we can expect great things from the Pixel 4.

Keeping to the tradition, we can expect one of the best cameras on a smartphone from the Pixel 4 as is the case with all Pixel devices. We can also expect a bigger screen and no notch or a very small notch. There have been no leaks so far regarding the next generation Pixel.

    Huawei P30

As 5G knocks on the door of technology, most manufacturers are trying their best to re-imagine their upcoming phones with 5G. Huawei is no exception and the company’s new phone, the Huawei P30, will be 5G enabled. According to some renders, the Huawei P30 might feature 4 cameras at the back with a teardrop notch in front. The phone will look sleek and have very little in terms of bezels. It is expected to feature a Kirin 985 CPU and might sport 8GB/10GB of RAM. Reverse Wireless charge is expected to come to the P30.

    Xiaomi Poco F2

Xiaomi created a revolution with the launch of the Poco F1 which featured a Snapdragon 845 on a budget smartphone. The Snapdragon 845 was always seen in expensive flagship phones and a few lower price point flagships but a budget phone with the latest CPU offering was unheard of. Xiaomi quickly garnered a lot of support for the Poco lineup and now 2019 might see the second version of the phone.

According to a Geekbench listing, Poco F2 might not sport the latest Snapdragon 855 that almost all high end phones will feature in the coming year. The Poco F2 is reported to receive very little changes compared to its predecessor. The phone will have 6GB of RAM and will be loaded with Android Pie out of the box. It will be interesting to see what price point Xiaomi places this phone at and how it is welcomed by the Poco F1 fans.
