PUBG Lite Will Soon Introduce Team Death Match Alongside New Lite Pass

PlayerUnknown’s Battleground is a massively popular multiplayer online shooter. It is set in the battle royale genre and has 100 people dropping into a large map that fight to be the last man standing. PUBG Lite was introduced last month and featured similar mechanics whilst being easier to run on lower specced PCs.

Now, the game is being further streamlined into the PUBG experience with the inclusion of Team Deathmatch and Lite Pass which basically is a seasonal Battle Pass.

    4v4 Team Deathmatch

PUBG Corp. is making the move to bring the game more in line with its other entries by adding more content to the current barebones game. In Team Deathmatch, two teams of 4 battle it out in a much smaller arena. Unlike the regular battle royale mode, players do not get eliminated permanently. Rather they respawn after a short duration of time and get back into the fight. The goal of this game mode is to reach the maximum number of kills.

    PUBG Lite

In PUGB Mobile, the objective is to gather up to 40 elimination of enemy players to win. Hence, it is safe to assume the objective remains more or less the same in PUBG Lite. Furthermore, it is reported that the map will be set in a warehouse with both teams spawning on either end. It is very much in line with PUBG Mobile’s team deathmatch arena so players should feel right at home.

    Lite Pass

As mentioned earlier, the developers behind the game wish to make the game robust which means content being added. So, to give players more incentive to play via challenges and rewards, a battle pass feature is also being introduced. PUBG Lite battle pass has been aptly named as “Lite Pass”. The base Lite Pass is free and is available to all players. It will reward players that complete their specified missions. Additionally, a premium version of the battle pass is also being offered. The paid version will have players receiving more rewards and exclusive in-game items while levelling up.

  • PUBG Lite Confirmed To Launch In India Soon

PUBG Lite Confirmed To Launch In India Soon

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) took the world by storm when it launched in March of 2017. The game brought the widely popular Battle Royale genre of gaming to the global mainstream audience. The game took inspirations from various games and mods like H1Z1 and Arma II mods. Now a Lite version of the original game that was tested in some countries will most likely see its debut in India by the end of June 2019.

PUBG wasn’t as successful in India due to its high cost of entry (Rs.1,000 then) and high system requirements to actually play it on PCs. However, where the company struck gold is the mobile platform with PUBG mobile. India is the second largest market for smartphones in the world; naturally, a large player base and fan following was gained in the southeastern country. Bluehole, the company behind the original PUBG seeking to lower the aforementioned barriers of entry for many of the Asian countries made a new free Lite version of the PC game.

PUBG Lite is a free-to-play entry in the BR franchise that carries, for the most part, the formula and gameplay of the original game along with watered down graphics for a broader PC units compatibility. The BR game is an online last-man-standing survival looter shooter that can be played solo, duo or in teams of four. The original game is notorious for its massive RAM and processing power remands that left out low-end PCs from even attempting to run the game. Only the higher-end PCs could deliver the complete full gameplay experience of visual fidelity and fast-paced action.

The game is now rumoured to release by the end of June 2019. Reports claim the date could be around June 25th, right about the time when the famous Steam sale hits the Valve store. Tencent, the company famously credited for porting the PC game to the mobile platform is also in the works of releasing PUBG Mobile Lite which starts its testing in India.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG launched for PC around two years ago. It has since been referred to as the gold standard as far as Battle Royale games are concerned. But, the game quite resources intensive and requires a high specced PC to run it smoothly. To ensure universal playability, the developer of the game, Bluehole Corporation launched the PUBG Lite for PC back in the month of January. The game was available in Beta for selected markets around the globe. In the latest March Dev Letter by the creators of the game, it was hinted that PUBG Lite for PC could soon be available in a stable version for more markets.

    PUBG Lite For PC

In the letter by the game developers, it was announced that the PUBG Lite game is aiming for the regular PUBG Steam version, which is the core element of the game. It was also announced that through many platform services, verified functions are being added through which the players can enjoy the game more easily, with more convenience and in more diverse environments. This suggests that once out of Beta, the game will be available in more regions and also on Steam, which is a digital distribution platform developed by Valve Corporation for purchasing and playing video games.

The Beta update of the PUBG Lite for PC was released in limited locations on January 24 this year. It allowed computers with low-end hardware to run the acclaimed game at playable frame rates. The graphics are toned down to match the system requirements. To further enhance the experience, the following updates will be introduced in the stable build of PUBG Lite:

    • More realistic gameplay
    • An improved free reward system
    • Smoother Parachute animations
