Google+ is the Behemoth new Social Networking Attempt from Google

Google has always wanted to be a king of Social Networking, after Orkut and Buzz that failed to catch up and sustain themselves to the competition. Google has today launched the new Google + Social networking engine. In a simple attempt a black bar appears at the top of the google pages with a +you button.

One of the most notable services in the Google+ networking is the Circles. What this basically lets you do, it that it allows you to select your group of friends and assign them into groups (or circles) then when yo post updates you can select who all you want to update.

Hangouts is also an interesting aspect as it allows a multi-person video chat right in your browser. Sparks is a multi interest feed organizer, that lets you remember your likes and keeps you updated on that.

Google has gone all out by launching the mobile app along with the service, which for one has an instant uploads folder which would upload all your images on the Google+ account in a private album and you can share those images with your status.

Google+ is still in a limited trial mode and looks like all their invites are gone, we will have more on this soon !

Nokia Leaks its own SeaRay: First Windows Phone 7 from Nokia with Mango

Nokia recently announced the N9 with MeeGo and at the event, CEO Stephen Elop wanted to showcase a device to please the developers. He asked them to put their cameras away and not take pictures of the device, but who listens to CEOs anyway? Check out the new SeaRay!

Governments vs Hackers – Cyberwar Continues #AntiSec

The AntiSec Campaign which started a few days ago as a partnership between hacker groups LulzSec and Anonymous, is a cat and mouse game between the hackers and the governments they target. One member of LulzSec, Ryan Cleary, a 19 year old from Wickford, Essex, UK, is suspected by authorities to be a leader of the group as well as being the brains behind the attacks on the FBI, CIA and Sony sites. He was arrested by British Police yesterday in a “pre-planned intelligence raid”. He has allegedly performed these acts from a computer in his mother’s house.

In another part of the world, the Brazilian wing of LulzSec seems to be accomplishing their mission(s) quite well. In a tweet from Lulzsec, the group congratulated their Brazilian unit.

Meanwhile, Anonymous has not been sitting idle. In a video released a few hours ago, the group urged anyone from around the world who believed in freedom of speech and anti-censorship of the Internet to stand up for their rights and join them.

This cyber war seems to be heating up, with the hackers targeting governments around the world. We shall keep you updated on the action as it happens. Stay tuned.

The Nokia N9 introduces an innovative new design where the home key is replaced by a simple gesture: a swipe. Whenever you’re in an application, swiping from the edge of the display takes you home.

The three home views of the user interface are designed to give fast access to the most important things people do with a phone: using apps, staying up to date with notifications and social networks, and switching between activities.

The industrial design of the Nokia N9 is an example of extreme product making and craft. Skype Calls Coming to TV’s

One of the largest cable companies in the US announced that it is planning to bring Skype Video Calls to TV’s by the end of this year. Subscribers will be able to rent a special kit which contains a Webcam, an adapter and a Special Remote which will have a Keyboard at the back to type chat messages. Subscribers will get notifications of incoming calls on their TVs and will be able to answer calls with full-screen video or in a window while watching TV. No pricing plans have been decided as yet.

The Skype adapter won’t work with Skype services that let users call phone numbers, or receive calls to a phone number. Instead, Comcast plans to bundle a limited version of Skype’s offerings with its own phone service, for which it charges $20 per month and up, to the adapter, so subscribers can place and receive phone calls through the TV set.

Panoramic Flash Videos – Coming Soon

The flash video format has become one of the most popular formats for sharing video online. Many sites like YouTube, Vimeo, Metacafe etc. have become big businesses in the Online Video Industry. I’m sure you’ve all seen 3d panoramic photos where you can pan and zoom the scene to view whatever you want. Well the Panoramic Video concept is pretty similar minus the zoom function. You can click and drag the video to change your view angle, all while the video is playing. This allows you to have a 360 degree view angle. The Nintendo Wii U, the Next Gaming Revolution! (PR)
Nintendo has just announced the Wii U, its the next generation of gaming console coming in 2012. There is a whole new controller with a 6.2 inch touchscreen that lets you not only interact with the game while you play it on your TV, but lets you play the game on the controller when the TV is not available. LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–At the E3 Expo, Nintendo introduced a new paradigm for video games and home entertainment: Wii U™, a new console that includes a controller with a 6.2-inch screen. Adding a second screen to the living room creates a multitude of new video game experiences while offering families a variety of options to customize their entertainment.

Previously, video games played on a home console have been confined to the TV and offered identical viewpoints to each player in a multiplayer environment. Furthermore, watching TV and playing console games have been completely separate experiences. The new controller removes these boundaries, creating a more dynamic and fluid gaming and entertainment experience. Visitors to the E3 Expo will see firsthand the type of gaming experiences made possible by Wii U and the new controller such as:

In single-player games:
The new controller can display information on its screen that does not appear on the TV.
The information and viewpoint can also change in the new controller based on the orientation of its gyroscope.
In multiplayer games:
The player using the new controller can have a different experience than those looking at the TV. This will offer a wide variety of competitive and cooperative opportunities.

In addition to the 6.2-inch screen, the new controller also features an accelerometer and a gyroscope, a rumble feature, an inward-facing camera, a microphone and speakers. Adding these features to the Classic Controller™ button scheme – two analog Circle Pads, +Control Pad, A/B/X/Y buttons, L/R buttons and ZL/ZR buttons – will enable a breadth of game-play experiences while appealing to both casual and dedicated video game players.

Wii U combines motion-sensing game play with the ability to support full HD graphics. Each Wii U console will be partnered with a new controller and can also use up to four additional Wii Remote™ or Wii Remote Plus controllers. The system is also backward compatible and can play all Wii games and use all Wii accessories. The Wii console has sold more than 86 million units globally and greatly expanded the overall audience for video games. Wii U aims to expand that audience even further. Developers worldwide are already working on new games and experiences for the console.

Nintendo 3DS™, which lets users see 3D images without the need for special glasses, launched in the United States on March 27 and continues to evolve. Owners will find that their Nintendo 3DS experience is different every time they pick up the system, thanks to new content and updates delivered by Nintendo, by third parties and exchanged between users.

A new system update is now available for the Nintendo 3DS system. Users who connect to a wireless broadband Internet connection and install the system update will instantly gain access to the Nintendo eShop, which contains a variety of games and applications for download using a cash-based system.

Users can browse original 3D software, 3D Classics (select classic video games re-mastered in 3D), classic Game Boy™ and Game Boy Color games, and more than 350 games and applications currently offered for the Nintendo DSiWare™ service. Visitors can also see videos and screen shots for games, plus see how other players rank games.

The system update also provides Nintendo 3DS owners access to free items, including an Internet browser that can show 3D images on sites specifically designed to show 3D images, a download of a re-mastered 3D version of the NES™ classic Excitebike™ game (free until July 7) and Pokédex™ 3D, which lets users discover and view more than 150 Pokémon™ from the Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version games in visually engaging 3D.

Nintendo also announced a huge lineup of upcoming new and fan-favorite franchise games, many of which are playable on the E3 Expo show floor in booth 4922.

Additionally, Nintendo announced a tour of orchestral concerts featuring music from the beloved franchise. Additional commemorative activities will be announced at a later date.
