Huawei Enjoy 8 With A Dual Camera Setup Listed On TENAA

Huawei is likely to launch a new entry-level smartphone named Huawei Enjoy 8, which is currently listed on TENAA. The specifications of the smartphone almost match with the recently listed Honor 7C. In fact, the differences between the Honor 7C and the Huawei Enjoy 8 are very negligible. The Huawei Enjoy 8 will be the successor of the Huawei Enjoy 7, which was launched in China. Interestingly, the company did launch a special KFC edition of the Huawei Enjoy 7 in the US.

The device is listed in two parts, one with the model number LND-TL10 which comes with 32GB storage and the other model listed under the model number LND-AL20, which comes with 64GB storage.

The only difference between the Honor 7C and the Huawei Enjoy 8 is the build quality. The Honor 7C offers a metallic design, whereas the Huawei Enjoy 8 might have a plastic unibody design. However, the plastic build quality does appear to be of metallic finish for the untrained eyes.

    Specifications:

The Honor 7C has a FullView 5.99-inch 1440 x 720p IPS LCD display, with 2.5D curved tempered glass protection. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an unknown Oct-core chipset with 1.4 GHz base frequency.

    Conclusion:

The Ejoy series have been exclusive for the Chinese and Europian markets. So, the Huawei Enjoy 8 might be a China exclusive model. However, it could be launched in India under a different moniker.

Honor 7C With A Dual Camera Setup Spotted On TENAA

In the last three months, Honor has launched three budget smartphones in India including Honor 9i, Honor 7x, and Honor 9 Lite. It looks like the company is planning to launch a new Honor smartphone with a similar design language. The Honor 7C is now listed on TENAA, which hints towards the official launch of the device in China.

This will be the successor of the Honor 6C, which was launched in Europian markets for € 229. Later on, Honor also launched a successor to the Honor 6C named Honor 6C Pro for € 179. In terms of design, the smartphone resembles the Honor 7x with 18:9 aspect ratio display. However, the camera setup is slightly redesigned compared to the Honor 7x.

There are two devices listed on TENAA, one has a model number of LND-TL30 and another device is listed as LND-TL40. The only difference between these models is the amount of RAM. The LND-TL30 comes with 3GB RAM, whereas, the LND-TL40 comes with 4GB RAM, with 32 GB storage on both the models.

    Specifications:

The Honor 7C has a FullView 5.99-inch 1440 x 720p IPS LCD display, with 2.5D curved tempered glass protection. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an unknown Oct-core chipset with 1.8 GHz base frequency.

The device has a main dual camera setup with 13 MP + 20 MP sensors, with an 8 MP front-facing camera. The Honor 7C will be powered by Android 8 Oreo with custom EMUI 8 skin on the top. Finally, the phone packs in a 2900 mAh Li-ion battery.

    Conclusion:

Considering the fact that, both the Honor 6C and the 6C Pro were exclusively launched in Europe, the Honor 7C might launch only in European markets.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Leaked In Live Images

Samsung is all set to announce the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ at MWC 2018. A lot of leaks and renders of these smartphones have been leaked online in the past few weeks. Finally, now we have a fresh batch of photos of the Galaxy S9. These pictures match with the renders from all aspects, with an additional confirmation on the infamous Bixby button. The sticker on the back panel also says that the phone comes with 64GB storage.

    Credits: Weibo
    Design:

As per these images, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is almost similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8. The only difference that we could make out is the placement of the fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy S8 was criticised for the fingerprint scanner placement. However, with the Galaxy S9, the company appears to have made amends.

As per the report, we might also see narrower bezels on Galaxy S9. However, it will be very difficult to make out the difference until and unless they are kept next to each other. The Samsung Galaxy S9’s major upgrade would be in terms of the camera. As per the leaks, the Galaxy S9 is speculated to feature a 12 MP camera with a variable aperture from f/1.5 to f/2.4.

Apple iPhone X Has A Black Screen Of Death Issue

Apple iPhone X is the most powerful iPhone that Apple has ever made. However, it is also the priciest iPhone ever launched, breaking the thousand dollar barrier for the first time. It is also the first iPhone since the iPhone 5s to not feature Touch ID (iPhone 5c also did not have TouchID but, had the home button). However, Face ID has had its fair share of failures as well. Recently, users were able to bypass Face ID using twins and a 3D face mask. However, Apple has promised that Face ID will become smarter with the future software updates.

It looks like Face ID and iOS bugs aren’t the only things troubling iPhone X users. Some users have reported about the “Black Screen of Death”. In fact, the issue has been persistent across the iPhone lineup from last few years.

What is Black Screen of Death on iPhone X?

The iPhone X tends to turn off the screen suddenly for no reason. Interestingly, the smartphone will continue to receive calls and notifications while the screen is off. However, the user cannot reply to texts or pick up any incoming calls. The issue is not fixed to a certain iPhone and can occur at random. The company, however, is expected to fix this issue in an upcoming software update.

    Apple

How to Resolve Black Screen of Death on Apple iPhone X?
    • Turn off your Apple iPhone X completely
    • Connect the iPhone to a power socket via lightning cable
    • Press Volume UP and Volume Down buttons together along with the multifunction key for a brief second
    • After this, your phone will enter into Device Firmware Update (DFU) Mode

    Moto G6 Play Specifications Leaked

Most of the smartphone makers are getting ready to launch their devices at MWC 2018. However, Motorola has been silent about its upcoming devices. As per the latest report, the company might launch the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play with the code name Ashley, Blain, and Teller.

The Moto G6 Play was recently listed on GeekBench with the complete specifications. A smartphone tipster has finally revealed the actual render of the smartphone. From the first impression, the smartphone looks similar to that of the Moto X4 with an all-glass design. Thanks to 18:9 aspect ratio, the device looks slimmer and taller with narrow bezels.

    Specifications:

The Moto G6 Play has a 5.7-inch IPS LCD 1440 x 720 px resolution, protected by 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, the smartphone sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core chipset with 3GB RAM. The device scores 472 points on a single-core and 1801 points on multi-core on Geekbench.

The device might run on Android 8 Oreo out of the box. However, instead of stock Android, the Moto G6 Play comes with Lenovo’s custom ZUK skin. However, that is hard to believe since Motorola has had success with its close to stock Android OS devices. Finally, the smartphone packs in a massive 4000 mAh battery with no mention of fast charging what so ever.

    Early Moto G6 Play Render

The smartphone has a dual camera setup at the back, which looks exactly similar to the setup found on the Moto X4. Though the Moto G6 Play comes with a narrow bezel design, the phone still retains a front-facing fingerprint scanner below the Motorola badge.

    Conclusion:

Motorola has consistently launched impressive devices in India. Hence, similar things will be expected of the Moto G6 Play, if and when it is launched.  As of now, the market is filled with the smartphones with 18:9 display, bigger battery, and even faster processor. The company should launch the device at a smart price for it to succeed.
