Microsoft has launched the Surface Pro 2017 in India, starting at Rs 64,999. This will be an upgrade for the Surface Pro 4 lineup, which was launched in 2016. This is a premium range of notebooks from Microsoft, which goes up against the Apple’s MacBook lineup.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2017 comes has a 12.3-inch 2736 x 1824p resolution display, with support for touch input. In fact, this is an upgrade over the Surface Pro 4 with 12.3-inch 2160 x 1440p display with 267 pixels per inch.
What’s new?
With the new series, the company uses Intel’s 7th generation Kaby Lake processors with improved battery life. In fact, the company promises that the 5th generation surface pro offers up to 13.5 hours of battery life, which is 50% more compared to 4th gen Surface Pro lineup.
Microsoft also claims that the Surface Pro 2017 lineup offers 35% more battery life than the Apple iPad Pro with 1.7 times more computing power.

The hinge on the Surface Pro 2017 supports up to a 165-degree range of motion, inspired by its own Microsoft Studio. These models weights 768g and measures just 8.5mm.
Staring with this series, one has to purchase the Surface Pen separately for Rs 7,999. The new signature Type cover now comes with 1.3 mm key travel, which helps in more accurate typing. However, one has to spend additional Rs 12,999 for the cover + keypad.
All the models will be available on major e-commerce websites in India including Microsoft online store, Amazon Flipkart. A user can also get an hands-on experience in showrooms like Chroma, Vijaya Sales, and Reliance Digital.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2017 has a 12.3-inch 2160 x 1440p IPS LCD display with touch input. The device will be powered by 7th Generation Kaby-Lake Intel processor ranging from Intel Core m3, Intel Core i5, and Intel Core i7 with Iris Plus 640 graphics.
The RAM option ranges from 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB SSD storage option. The Surface Pro 2017 also offers a full sized USB 3.0 port, a micro SD card reader, and a mini display port.
