Moto G4 Play Launching in India on 6th Of September On Amazon

Motorola has been teasing a new launch smartphone for a while, and it seems that the Moto G4 play will launch much before the Moto E3 Power which was on sale in Hong Kong recently. The Moto G4 Play has a MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 along with a 5 inch 1280 x 720p display.

The G4 play should come in it a more affordable price, and we are expecting it to be around the Rs. 10,000 price bracket or lower. The Moto G4 play is also among the few phones available today that will offer up a removable battery.

Motorola is attempting to increase penetration of the already popular Moto G4 by introducing a more budget friendly, gaming centric handset. Possibly to take on the Samsung Galaxy J lineup.

The Moto G4 Play will be an Amazon.in Exclusive as seen from the tweet below.

Moto’s latest budget smartphone is a revision to the existing Moto E gen 2 and long over due. The subtle upgrade offers up only a few changes for the loyalists.

The Moto E3 Power gets its name from the massive 3500 mAh battery and long battery life. This new edition of the Moto E has a 5 inch display with an HD resolution and an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 5 MP selfie cam

The new Moto E3 Power runs on the MediaTek MT6735P chipset and power through using  2GB of RAM along with 16GB of storage which is expandable using a microSD

    Moto-E3-Power-list

The Moto E3 Power supports 4G LTE and the variant launching in India will have VOLTE and dual-SIM functionality.

The Moto E3 Power runs the latest Android 6.0.1, but now that Nougat has started pushing to official phones, the new Moto phones should be getting it too.

The handset is currently listed in Hong Kong for HKD 1,098 or Rs 9,500, but we expect it to launch in India for under Rs. 9000.

Moto India has been teasing a new smartphone on their twitter recently. While earlier thought to be tweets leading up to the Moto Z, the Moto India campaign could be for the next Moto E, considering they are talking about multitasking and good battery life.

Moto X May Still Exist Suggest Benchmarks

Although Motorola has launched the Moto Z and Moto Z force, the company may not have replaced the globally loved Moto X after all. A new leaks from the benchmarking website GFXbench shows that the Moto X may still well exist.

The Moto X was the first phone to offer always-on google search along with the Moto Display ( which was also a an always on notification system)

This Moto X seems to be a more dumbed out version of the Moto Z. It features an Helip P10 octa-core design clocked at up to 2.1 GHz as tested and is backed up by the ARM Mali-T860 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. There’s 32 GB of onboard storage, a 16MP rear camera, an 8MP front facing and it ships with Android 6.0.

This might be a newer positioning for the Moto X and may become more approachable for the consumer. (read: cheaper)

The best part about the Moto Z phones is the Mods, which can be had in a variety of materials or finishes, such as nylon, wood, or leather. The SoundBoost Mod, built in partnership with JBL, is a speaker with upgraded two three-watt drivers and adds an extra 1,000mAh of battery capacity. The Power Pack Mod adds a 2,220mAh cell to the back of the phone and is made by either Incipio, Kate Spade, or Tumi. The Insta-Share Mod adds a pico projector to the phone and lets you broadcast your phone’s display up to 70 inches wide at 480p resolution.

The Mods are plug and play and unlike the LG G5, you will not need to reboot your phone, the software comes preloaded on the Moto Z, and Moto Z force and the phone recognizes the pair instantly.

Both the Moto Z and Moto Z Force come with USB Type-C ports and without a 3.5 mm headphone jack, which now seems to be the industry standard.

    Moto G4 Plus 4

The handset is still boasting a plastic frame, however is extremely durable and feels like metal thanks to the metal paint coating even though its not.

Lenovo branding is apparent, shown off on the box and each time you turn on the handset. The back features a 16 MP camera with a snappy auto-focus assisted with the laser focus and phase detection Auto-focusing. The camera also has a pro mode which like pro modes from many other manufacturers gives you great detail of control over your setting before you begin to capture a photograph.

The fingerprint sensor is quick with a response time of 750 millisecond and the sensor basically works from any angle.

    Moto G4 Plus 14

The phone feels great in the hand and the back panel aka shell is available in a black or white at launch, you will be later able to buy coloured shells for changing out the back.

Moto has removed IP rating which means that the G4 unlike the Moto G Gen 3 will be not be water resistant, but the handset does have nano coating.

    Moto G4 Plus 15

The sim slots come with nano to micro sim adapters, which is great if you have been using a nano sim slot device. If not, then you get free adapters.

    Moto G4 Press Render Leaked

It looks like Moto has little to spare for its launch of the next generation Moto G aka, the Moto G4. With mostly all information out, little is left to the imagination. Now a new image by @evleaks points to the front of the display.

Calling it the “little bro” could lead to the non-plus version of the Moto G4. Leaks have pointed to a  Snapdragon 617 SoC, 3GB RAM, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. With 16 MP and 13MP cameras for the Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 respectively.

  • Everything We Know about the Moto G4 and G4 Plus

Everything We Know about the Moto G4 and G4 Plus

With the expected Launch of the next Moto G aka the Moto G4 and G4 plus to happen soon, there is already a lot of information that has been outed by tipsters and benchmarks. This is a roundup fo what to expect on the upcoming Moto G.

    Name

The brand Motorola is no more and since the Lenovo acquisition is now complete the subsidiary brand is now called “Moto.” The Moto G revisions were known as the “Moto G” and the same with other phones. However, the interwebs and leaks suggest a proper Moto “G4” branding along with what rumors are pointing to as a Moto “G4 Plus,” which will either be a larger or a beefier specced handset.

    Look

While @evleaks has been mostly responsible for leaking out Moto G4 images, some others have appeared online.

    https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/722552740283551744

The images of the Moto G4 came out quite a while ago, they show the phone featuring a square front facing fingerprint scanner which may finally introduce the Moto lineup to fingerprint scanners. The rear shows a new camera layout along with dots that indicate either sensors or high-intensity microphones.

    Specifications

Leaks have pegged that the Moto G4 is expected to have a 5.5-inch display, 13MP camera and 16GB of internal storage. The Moto G Plus is also expected to get a 5.5-inch display, a 16MP camera and 16GB of internal storage. Two models the XT1622 and XT1642 have been spotted on the FCC website.

The Moto G4 has also been spotted on benchmarking site Geekbench, revealing some other specs, which include a Snapdragon 617 SoC, 3GB RAM, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

    Launch Date and Price

After Motorola’s official invitation to their launch on the 17th of May, everyone is expecting the company to introduce the Moto G4 and G4 plus at the same event , while pricing has been speculated at around Rs. 21000 for the Moto G4 Plus, it seems highly unlikely that the company will launch the G4 for a different category when it has constantly stayed in the Rs. 15000 price bracket. So while the G4 Plus may be priced slightly higher we are expecting the Moto G4 to launch somewhere in the Rs. 14500 price range.

It is also official that the next phone (which we assume is the G4) will now be an Amazon exclusive.

  • Moto G4 in India May be an Amazon Exclusive

Moto G4 in India May be an Amazon Exclusive

Tweets between Moto India and Amazon India seems to show that the 17th May launch of the expected Moto G4 may be an Amazon India Exclusive. While it is difficult to say what Moto will eventually launch in India, leaks have pointed towards a Moto G device which will be dubbed as the Moto G4.

Motorola has been associated with Flipkart since its re-launch as a brand few years back. Now that Lenovo has officially taken the reins of the operation it seems they will be choosing Amazon as their partner for this launch. Recently Moto also exclusively made available some variants of the Moto 360 gen 2 on Amazon India.

The Moto G4 and the Moto G4 plus which will feature Moto’s front square fingerprint scanner and now a 5.5-inch display, according to leaks, should be launched on the coming Tuesday.

  • Moto X leaked, will be an all metal device

Moto X leaked, will be an all metal device

While the Moto G 2016 is just around the corner and a lot of information for the handsets is now available, little was known for the Moto X for 2016 until now. Evleaks and HelloMotoHK have posted pictures of a new Moto phone which coincide with past information of the Moto X.

The All-Metal design is already looking good, and may leave a supremely positive impact for the Lenovo take over. The improvement in the build quality and materials means that the Moto X may join the ranks of high-end smartphones. While the Moto G for 2106 will be the first Lenovo-branded Moto phones to hit the market, the Moto X will be the defining handsets. Lenovo owned Moto also seems to be taking a liking to the Square fingerprint scanner in the front which has also been spotted in the leaks of the Moto G4

While an image from HelloMotoHK clearly shows the Droid branding, it could simply be the return of the Droid X or it could be the Droid Turbo as Evan claims that they are two separate handsets. While earlier leaks have pointed to a Qualcomm 820 chipset with 1.6 GHz on the clock along with 4G of RAM, not factual information exists for the handsets.

Based on information leaked in the past the launch seems to be on 9 June 2016.

A lot of new Smartphones are headed to India this month, and with the market going ablaze with all the options, here are some things you should know about the new launches.

While many other phones may launch, These seem to be the peoples choice at the moment.

    Moto G4 and G4 Plus

Now Lenovo owned Moto is all set to launch their next gen G4 and G4 Plus on 17th May while a lot is not know about the handsets, it is clear that Moto is pushing its smartphones hard. The G4 is expected to come with a fingerprint scanner and various other improvements on performance display and camera. The G4 Plus is expected to be a big brother of the G4 with possibly a larger display.

    Yu 5330

    Yunique 5

While the actual name of this handset is unknown, the Yu 5330 has leaked and CEO Rahul Sharma was seen breaking “Flag Ships” in a video. If we put it together, the company wants to make a “Flagship Breaker” Smartphone. However the specs and leaks do not pit it as a flagship smartphone.

    Lenovo Zuk Z1

Lenovo’s online only brand ZUk is creating some buzz in India, the Zuk Z1. The phone comes with a metal frame with a display of 5.5 inches IPS screen and 1080p resolution, while the phone itself measures 8.9mm thick and comes with a 4,100mAh battery with a 2.5A charger. Its is expected to be launched under Rs. 20000 on 10th May.

    OnePlus Three

    oneplus logo 0

This year OnePlus decided to keep things on the down low as their #hype campaign last year left a lot of people disappointed. Reports are mentioning two models of the OnePlus 3 one with 4GB of RAM + 32GB of storage and one with 6GB of RAM + 64GB of storage. A price of CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 20,400) is quoted for the base model of the OnePlus pointing towards a roughly Rs. 24000-25000 launch price in markets like India. While it is expected to launch end May we are not sure when it will come to India. Hopefully, at the same time as the rest of the world.

    Micromax Canvas 6

    Micromax-Canvas-6

The Indian company which has not been faring well in the market, is trying to regain ground with the launch of several new handsets and a company redesign. Expected to launch sometime next week, the Canvas 6 has a Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 and a 5.5 inch Full HD display. You will get 32 GB storage and 3 GB RAM along with expandability and dual SIM.

  • Moto G 2016 aka Moto G4 and G4 Plus Launching 17th May

    Moto G 2016 aka Moto G4 and G4 Plus Launching 17th May

Motorola’s Next generation G, aka Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are launching on the 17th of May based on this new invite from Motorola.

The now Lenovo-owned company has had its Moto G4 and G4 plus leak out with specifications that should make it an interesting device, provided it is launched in the same price bracket as every Moto G prior to this. Moto G Invite 1

Leaks had earlier pegged the launch of the Moto G on 9th June but it appears that date will be kept for the Moto X 2016 which leaked out yesterday.

The leaks have already suggested that Moto G4 will sport a front facing square fingerprint sensor.  The Moto G4 is expected to have a 5.5-inch display, 13MP camera and 16GB of internal storage. The Moto G Plus is also expected to get a 5.5-inch display, a 16MP camera and 16GB of internal storage with prices set at approximately Rs 21,000 for the G Plus variant, which may become much less at the time of launch.

  • Moto 360 Sport Launched in India

Moto 360 Sport Launched in India

Motorola has launched the Moto 360 sport in India through online website Flipkart. The smartwatch which retails for US $ 299 in the US has been launched for roughly the same price in India Rs. 19999.

The 45 mm smartwatch comes with a sweat and dustproof silicone strap and in only the black color for the Indian market. Its enhanced features are targeted at the fitness enthusiast community, however, it can be used as a regular Moto360 and will work Android and iOS devices.

The iP67 rating keeps the Moto 360 Sport waterproof and can be immersed in water for up to 30 minutes.

The pricing is appreciated as it does not jump much higher than the global pricing, however only the black color has been launched which is a bit of a letdown. We were really digging the Orange and White colors.
