The images concur with past renders of the device. The 5.2-inch QHD device sports a slimming frame and a wide display. The handset also comes with a thick lower bezel.

Microsoft Lumia 650 Gets FCC Approval, Design Confirmed

Just yesterday, rumors about Microsoft’s Lumia 650 had emerged with a leaked image and some specs. Today, the alleged handset had passed the FCC hurdle, which means a launch is imminent. The leaked live image of the device also confirm a metal frame for a more premium finish.

The 5-inch 720p display device is likely to come bearing the Snapdragon 210 chipset clocking at 1.1GHz. A 2,000mAh battery pack in the 650 is small, especially when compared to the Lumia 640 (2,500mAh) and the Lumia 550 (2,100mAh).

Furthermore, it is the single-SIM variant that has been cleared by FCC with the model number RM-1152 suggesting the device will first launch in the United States. Microsoft will also offer a dual-SIM variant for the device.

From what the specs tell us, and this is yet unconfirmed, the Lumia 650 lacks both juice and power, but does well with the exterior design, and a pricing of under Rs. 10,000 (similar to the Lumia 550) will be needed for this device to tempt the masses.

Microsoft Lumia 650 Leak Confirms New Design Language

Not much has been spoken or revealed about Microsoft’s upcoming smartphone, Lumia 650. Indeed, the company has managed to keep a tight lid on the device. That is until now at least. The Lumia 650 handset has been spotted in a live photo that reveal design. The same source has also provided some information on specs.

    Lumia 650

The obvious design element that we first spot from the picture is the metal frame. The leaked specs of the Lumia 650 are underwhelming to say the least. The 5-inch 720p display device is likely to come bearing the Snapdragon 210 chipset clocking at 1.1GHz. A 2,000mAh battery pack in the 650 is small, especially when compared to the Lumia 640 (2,500mAh) and the Lumia 550 (2,100mAh).

iPhone 7 Leaked Parts Reveal Design Change from iPhone 6S

Following the release of the iPhone 6s series, the crowded corridors of internet have already been abuzz with news, and leaks of the next range of phones from the Cupertino based company. Some might call it pre-mature to make predictions about the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, which are not due until September this year, but fresh leaks surfacing on the Internet seem credible enough to be worth taken note of.

According to new leaked pictures of the the backlight screen for the iPhone 7 published by Taiwanese website Apple Club, there are clear suggestions of design changes in the upcoming iPhones. It had been previously claimed that the handset will win the race to dump the headphone socket, relying on the lightning port, or use wireless headphones to do its work. This new leak has only made these rumours grow stronger.

    Leak pic 3

Side-by-side pictures comparing the leaked images with the one used in the Apple iPhone 6s also show flex cables located on the left side of the iPhone 7 backlight while the iPhone 6s backlight has it on the opposite side.

These moves will possibly help the new range of iPhones achieve between 6.0 mm and 6.5mm thinness, and a design that’s waterproof. The devices may also have a faster TSMC-built A10 chip and non-metallic casing with hidden antenna bands.

Samsung Galaxy J1 Successor Seen Online in Leaked Image

After a month of its FCC clearance, a leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy J1 successor has appeared online. The image also appeared with a bunch of specs which include a 4.5 inch display, which is slightly larger than the current J1’s 4.3 inches, with 480×800 pixel resolution. The phone will be powered by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

The FCC certificate does not reveal any specifications for the handset, although a siting on GFXBench can throw some light on it. The SM-J120F (the model number of J1’s successor) is expected to arrive with a dual SIM variant which will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 3475 chipset with quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU and will come with 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal memory.

Latest Leak Reveals OnePlus X Design and Pricing

We earlier mentioned to you that the OnePlus X is set to come to our markets by the end of this month. Now, official leaks of the much awaited phone reveal what seems like its final design and price tag.

The OnePlus X is said to be 5-inch which will be smaller that the current OnePlus’ that are both 5.5.” The phone is expected to sport a 1080p display, in a 140 x 69 x 6.9 mm chassis and will sport a 13 MP rear camera, an 8 MP camera on the front, 3 GB of RAM, and 16 GB/32 GB of expandable storage space.

    oneplus-x

The device is likely to be announced on 29th October which is just three days away. The poster also showed the highly anticipated price tag which is 1699 yuan (Approximately Rs. 17,362). This doesn’t seem cheap considering that competition phones are cheaper and also because it was first rumoured to be three thousand rupees cheaper. It isn’t yet clear if that is the pricing of the 32 GB variant as there is another 1099 yuan price tag, present on the poster. However, that is probably going to be the price for event attendees.

Whatever said and done, the OnePlus X has caused a great amount of stir and the 29th of October will answer all your unanswered questions so watch this space for more.

  • Nokia Might Be Planning to Enter the Wearables Business

Nokia Might Be Planning to Enter the Wearables Business

The whole world is moving towards wearables. So, it’s only right for Nokia to get into the game as well. The company recently amended its Articles of Association to include consumer wearables. This happens to come around the time when rumours are afloat that Nokia is planning on a smartwatch or bracelet that focuses on health and well being.

You may have heard that Nokia was planning to launch a smartwatch last year that was codenamed ‘Moonraker’ that had many of the aesthetics of the modern Windows phone. However, the project was scrapped after Microsoft took over presumably because Microsoft had its own Band in the work.

    nokia-moonraker
    Nokia Moonraker

Two years ago, Nokia had filed a patent for a smart wearable that looked more like a bracelet than a watch, with multiple screen for different functions. We are not sure whether Nokia plans to begin working on its past projects again or if it’s looking to work on something entirely different. But the change in the corporation papers shows signs that Nokia is ready to bring out its smartwatch or bracelet soon.

Nokia has a tough challenge ahead if it really is working on consumer wearables. Today, smart wearable is what is getting the tech world pumped, and traditional watchmaking brands like Fossil are also getting into the game. The competition is stiff and Nokia will have to come out with something unique if they want to stand a chance.

Leak Confirms Huawei Nexus 6P Will Be the First All-Metal Nexus Flagship

With only a day to go before the reveal of Google’s Nexus smartphones, the leaks continue. We just did a roundup of everything we know of the Google event so far with some rumored specs for each of the flagship phones. Now we have more to tell. Imgur recently leaked images of a Nexus 6P presentation which basically confirms everything we know and a little bit more.

    Nexus 6P

The slides discuss everything from design to specs, and one of the specs that caught our eyes in particular is the massive battery that’s fit into the Nexus 6P. The smartphone will come with a 3450mAh battery that should last you a pretty long time. Clearly, Google has been focusing on battery life this time around. For a little perspective we would also like to point out that the other recent phablets such as the Samsung Note 5 and the iPhone 6s Plus come with a battery of 3,000mAh and 2,750mAh, respectively. Other slides focus on camera, features of Android Marshmallow, and fingerprint sensor.

  • Xiaomi is Officially Working on its First Laptop

Xiaomi is moving onto bigger things. The Chinese company is now working on its first laptop, according to reports. Since the company’s inception in 2010, Xiaomi has grown rapidly to become the fourth biggest smartphone maker in the world. The company is looking to create the same magic in the laptop game. The notebook is being manufactured by Inventec.

Xiaomi has made an impact in the smartphone market by selling near-premium phones at budget prices. But whether the company will use the same formula for its first laptop is a different story. “I am not sure if the smartphone approach will be applicable to notebooks, but I expect Xiaomi’s entry into the notebook industry to bring something new to the market,” said Inventec chairman, Richard Lee.

Leaked images of Xiaomi’s laptop were moving around as far back as December 2014, and it showed a very Macbook Air-ish design.

The leaked pictures of this laptop uncannily resemble the Macbook Air. Who knows it may even be called the Xiaomi Air when released.
The leaked pictures of this laptop uncannily resemble the Macbook Air.

Lee also stated that Xiaomi’s first laptops will start shipping in the first two quarters of 2016. “I am upbeat about the business outlook for Xiaomi’s notebook computers, as the firm has more than 200 million registered smartphone users,” Lee said.

The company recently launched the China-only Mi 4c smartphone and introduced the Mi Mobile service in China with which the company is looking to compete against other Chinese-based carriers.

Though the news of Xiaomi’s new notebook was made official on Wednesday, rumors of it have been circulating much before. Bloomberg reported earlier this month that Xiaomi’s first laptop is likely to be in the range of Apple’s Macbook Air, thereby stating who the Chinese company is planning to compete with. We will have to wait till next year to confirm the authenticity of those images.

  • New Leak Reveals OnePlus Mini’s Specifications

New Leak Reveals OnePlus Mini’s Specifications

Today, a AnTuTu benchmark run revealed a device allegedly called the OnePlus A2301. According to further reports, this phone could be the second device that OnePlus is expected to release this year after the OnePlus 2.

    OnePlus Render Mini

The device is touted to be called the OnePlus Mini. It comes with 2GB of RAM, powered by a MediaTek MT6795T processor running at 2.2GHz and a PowerVR Rogue G6200 series GPU. It has an internal storage capacity of 32GB and also comes with a 13MP rear camera. However, the site does not mention anything about the screen size but if this is the OnePlus Mini then it will definitely be smaller than the 5 inch screen of the OnePlus 2.

    AnTuTu OnePlus Mini

It is also expected to have a 1920 x 1080p resolution, a Type-C USB 3.0 connector and a fingerprint reader at the back. The operating system according to the AnTuTu benchmark tests could be the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with the Oxygen OS on top of Android. The render further suggests that this handset will also come with a 2 camera set and dual-LED flash below it.

Price wise it should be lower than the OnePlus 2, however all this information is based on the AnTuTu releases and nothing has been confirmed by the Chinese vendor itself.

  • Huawei’s Upcoming Nexus Might Come With a 5.7-inch Display

Huawei’s Upcoming Nexus Might Come With a 5.7-inch Display

We bring you more rumours about the Huawei Nexus 6 (codename: Angler) just as it gets ready to launch alongside the LG Nexus 5X on the 29th of September 2015. New reports suggest that details about the Huawei Angler were spotted on a site called GFXBench.

Here is a picture of the leaked table :

    Huawei-Nexus-6-(2015)-on-GFXBench

According to this leaked image of the specifications the new handset could sport a 5.7 inch display with Quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The Angler is also expected to come with a Snapdragon 810, 3GB of RAM and up to 24GB of storage. Apart from all this it is also expected to run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow and could come with a 12MP rear camera with 2160p video. The selfie camera is expected to be at 8MP.

These specs honestly seem quite moderate. It’s not something Samsung or any other mainstream vendor cannot offer. The only way we can judge this smartphone is after the price is announced. Pre-orders are expected to begin two weeks after the unveiling. But, till then that’s all we’ve got.
