The phone shows a dual camera vertical setup with flash and surprisingly features a fingerprint sensor. The photo was taken down shortly after.

It was much talked about that the new Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will have an in-display fingerprint sensor but it seems there will be different variants with different ways to unlock the phone. The company has also recently confirmed that it will feature a sliding front camera with flash.

    Other Rumours

The glass back panel suggests that wireless charging might be an option as well. It also features a USB Type-C charging port. Other rumoured specifications include Android Pie, a Samsung AMOLED display panel with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. • Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s Launch Likely After Mi MIX 2 Receives Another Price Cut

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s Launch Likely After Mi MIX 2 Receives Another Price Cut

Xiaomi launched the Mi MIX 2s at an event in China, after skipping any major launches at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. Since its launch, the Mi MIX 2s has received a lot of praise for its top of the line specifications and design. However, it has remained a China-exclusive so far with no communication from the company about its possible global launch yet. However, a recent activity regarding the price of the Mi MIX 2 in India suggests otherwise.

    Mi MIX 2

The Mi MIX 2 received another price cut which means that it now retails for Rs 29999 in India. The price has been changed on all retailing platforms like Flipkart and Xiaomi’s India website. This suggests that it is a permanent price cut and not a temporary offer. In January 2018, the device received the first price cut which brought its price down to Rs 32999. At a price of Rs 29999, the Mi MIX 2 could be a great buy for users who prefer Snapdragon chipsets over Honor’s Kirin series.

A price cut usually indicates the launch of a newer generation which, in this case, is the Mi MIX 2s. So far, we have not heard anything from Xiaomi about a possible launch. In fact, the company is set to launch the Redmi S2 as Redmi Y2 in India next month. However, it is entirely possible that this price cut is the first step towards a possible Mi MIX 2s launch.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s looks great with its new design and the ceramic body. Interestingly, the Mi MIX 2s also has wireless charging, a feature the OnePlus 6 misses out on. The vertically placed dual-camera setup resembles the iPhone X and it is also worth noting that the Mi MIX 2s doesn’t have a notch. The OnePlus 6 goes on sale in India on May 21st at a starting price of Rs 34999. If Xiaomi keeps the price competitive, the Mi MIX 2s could be a great competitor for the OnePlus 6 in India.

  • Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s Leaked Video Reveals A Tiny Notch On Top

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s Leaked Video Reveals A Tiny Notch On Top

Xiaomi started the trend of bezel-less smartphones by launching the Xiaomi Mi MIX. The Mi MIX 2 had an identical design, with a much more compact form factor. However, users were still not satisfied with the placement of the front-facing camera. However, it looks like Xiaomi might address this issue with the upcoming Mi MIX 2S. The company is all set to launch the Mi MIX 2S in Shangai on the 27th of March.

Leaked Video Reveals A Tiny Notch On Top

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S has been heavily leaked in last few weeks. The company has already confirmed that the MIX 2S will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with a dual camera setup.

Recent leaks suggest that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will have a dual AI-powered primary camera. In fact, the Mi MIX 2S could be the first Xiaomi smartphone to support wireless charging. Similarly, a fresh live video has been leaked, which showcases the notch on the device with the front-facing camera. The smartphone is allegedly running on the MiUi 9 with the “Limitless” theme.

However, XDA Developers recently unearthed that the Mi MIX 2S will have the front facing camera housed in the bottom bezel. Much like the Xiaomi Mi MIX and Mi MIX 2. Only time will tell what turns out to be true.

The device is expected to have a 3400 mAH Li-ion battery with wireless and fast charging. The phone will run on Android 8 Oreo OS with custom MIUI 9 skin on the top. However, none of the Xiaomi devices, barring the Mi A1, run on Android 8 Oreo as of now.

  • Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Could Have A Dual Camera Setup

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Could Have A Dual Camera Setup

Xiaomi will launch its first flagship smartphone of 2018 on the 27th of March. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be an upgraded iteration of the original Mi MIX 2, which was launched in late 2017. However, unlike, the Mi MIX 2, the Mi MIX 2S is expected to have better cameras with AI capabilities.

In fact, the company released a teaser image that talked about the camera of the Mi MIX 2S. What started with the Pixel 2 devices, the trend of implementing AI and machine learning in the camera has caught on. The Mi MIX 2S will have enhanced AI capabilities for, in theory, a better image capture.

A new teaser from the company hints towards a dual camera setup. Unlike others, this camera setup are expected to function independently. As per the previous leaks, the device is expected to feature Sony IMX 363 sensor. In fact, the smartphone is expected to be able to distinguish between different objects like food, dog, vehicles, documents and more.Mi MIX 2s

    Expected specifications

The smartphone is expected to have a 6 inch 2160 x 1080p display with a notch at the top right corner. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. However, the smartphone will not support memory expansion.

The device is expected to have a 4400 mAH Li-ion battery with fast charging. Even wireless charging is expected to be introduced for the first time in a Xiaomi smartphone. The phone will run on Android 8 Oreo OS with custom MIUI 9 skin on the top. However, none of the Xiaomi devices, barring the Mi A1, run on Android 8 Oreo as of now.

  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Leaks With Snapdragon 836 And Android 8.0 Oreo

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Leaks With Snapdragon 836 And Android 8.0 Oreo

Xiaomi has already announced that the Mi Mix 2 will be officially launched on September 11. However, two new images have leaked, and they reveal a few key specifications of the upcoming smartphone.

The images are of the ‘About Phone’ section of the settings menu of the supposed Mi Mix 2. The images reveal that the Mi Mix 2 will have the yet-to-be announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset under the hood. The chipset has featured in quite a few rumours lately. The images also show that the Mi Mix 2 will run Android 8.0 Oreo with Xiaomi’s custom skin MIUI 9 on top of it. The smartphone will have 256GB onboard storage and a 6.2 inch 2960 x 1440 px display.

If the Mi Mix 2 does launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset, it will beat the Google Pixel 2 lineup to be the first smartphone to be powered by this chip. In terms of the optics, the screenshot lists a 20MP rear-facing camera which can be assumed as the primary camera as the Mi Mix 2 is dubbed to feature a dual-camera setup at the back. Other rumours about the phone suggest a 3,400 mAh battery and 6GB of RAM.

As always, these leaks are to be taken with a pinch of scepticism as the MIUI 9 based on Android 8.0 Oreo is not out yet. Also, Qualcomm has not announced the Snapdragon 836 chipset and with the launch less than 10 days away, it seems highly unlikely that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will have the chipset.

It’s worth noting that Xiaomi will launch the Mi Mix 2 a day prior to the launch of Apple iPhone 8 and feels confident that it won’t be overshadowed by the mighty iPhone.

  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Specifications Leak in Benchmark Results

The Mi Mix may not have been a popular smartphone for Xiaomi, but it helped the company prove itself in the market place by launching the first phone with an all display front. The Mi Mix 2 has been talked about from as early as January , but some real specifications have started to appear.

Philip Starck, the designer of the original Mix will also be responsible for designing the Mix 2. But more importantly the phone will have a larger screen to body ratio and will replace the iPhone 8 as the phone with the largest screen to body ratio. The phone has recently shown itself on benchmark results of Geekbench here showing off an Octa core 1.9 GHz msm8998 which is the Snapdragon 835. Interestingly the phone also appears to have a 6 GB of RAM as seen on the benchmark results. As for the benchmarks themselves the phone scores a whopping 6431 in the multi-core benchmark, which is impressive.

The Mi Mix 2 is expected to launch with a 6.4 inch curved AMOLED display with a QHD resolution along with a fingerprint embedded in the display. The Mi Mix 2 is also expected to show a 93% screen to body ratio with an 18:9 aspect.
