    Asus Launches Transformer Book T100 in India For 34099 INR

    Asus today launched its Transformer Book T100 in India at a price of 34099 INR. The T100 is a laptop which can also be used as a tablet, the device runs on Windows 8.1 and will be available in November.

    The Asus Transformer Book T100 features a 10.1 inch HD Glare display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixles and can be detached from the laptop and used as a tablet. The keyboard is equipped with a dock connector that attaches the tablet to turn into a laptop and also includes backlit keys.

    The T100 is powered by a 1.33 GHz quad core Intel Atom Bay-trail T Z3740 processor along with Intel HD graphics. The Asus Transformer Book T100 is packed with a 2 GB of RAM and a 32 GB built-in eMMC storage expandable to 64 GB via microSD card. Asus says that the device can run almost through out the day and give 10 hours of continuous video playback. The 2 in 1 device has a 1.2 MP front facing camera.

    The Asus Transformer Book T100 is powered by dual frontal speakers and weighs 1.07 Kg as a laptop and 550 grams as a tablet.

    Ever since Apple’s got the idea to launch an iPhone in the Golden color, we have seen many phones opting the Gold color to name few, the HTC One and even the Galaxy S4. 

    Today Samsung has announced a new phone in the Indian market, Samsung Galaxy Golden Flip Phone is now available in the leading stores. Flipkart is taking pre-orders for the smartphone at a price of Rs. 49,900. The look alike of this phone was first launched in the Korean market in August this year and is now available in India probably at the right time, Diwali!

    The company claims the device is made to give an easy to use and operate experience. It comes with ‘Easy Mode’, which comes with large fonts and icons and enables the users to access and search apps quickly. It also highlights certain features on the device like favorite apps and easy settings. Another feature is the ‘Hidden Receiver’ that allows users to take calls without opening the folder.

    The Samsung Galaxy Golden features two screens both are 3.7 inch Super AMOLED displays, on the inside and the outside of the top-half. The phone is powered by a  1.7 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Golden Flip Phone has a 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded upto 64 GB. Galaxy Golden features a 8 MP primary camera along with a 1.9 MP front facing camera. The device has a 1820 mAh battery and connectivity option include Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. 

    The Samsung Galaxy Golden should be available in the shops nearby you, the phone is priced at 51900 INR which seems overpriced for a phone with these specifications, while the price high could be because of the two 3.7 inches Super AMOLED displays.

    We have been waiting for some official news for the Nexus 5, the wait continues as what we are going to talk about is still not official but does gives us a hint of when this much awaited phone can be official.

    The latest leaked render from evleaks shows Nexus 5 with a white back, the post shared on twitter says “In white. 11/1.” It’s definitely an unclear statement, but if we consider the previous leaks and the Google Play Store listing this might just be the right time to launch the Nexus 5.     LG Electronics today officially announced the LG G Flex, a smartphone which is curved and is said to to follow the contour of the face, it is the first device to offer such a design in the smartphone market claims LG.

    How can the curved display help ? here is what the company says: the vertically curved design of the LG G Flex reduces the distance between one’s mouth to the microphone when the device is held against the ear, as traditional telephone handsets used to. The LG G Flex employs a curvature arc that is optimized for the average face, to deliver improved voice and sound quality.That is not all, the company is offering the same back buttons that we saw it on its latest flagship the LG G2. 

    The LG G Flex also includes an array of new UX features:

The device is powered by a 2.26 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, a 2 GB of RAM coupled with 32 GB inbuilt storage and a 3,500 mAh battery. The device is equipped with a 13 MP primary camera along with a 2.1 MP front camera and the G Flex runs on Android 4.2.2.

    Alright, so LG has added a new feature to the G Flex, the phone has a “Self Healing” coating on the back cover which is a elastic coating to which the company claims will help the back to recover from the usage scratches and nicks which will help the device to look new every time. This is something new indeed, but we cannot comment on it without our hands on with the device. The device will be available in Korea in November no word for availability in other countries.

    Many of us were surprised when Nokia did not unveil its Lumia 929 smartphone in the event held in Abu Dhabi last week. This can be a good news for people waiting anxiously for the phone to launch, as recent leaks show us the images and video of the alleged phone.

    WPCentral forum member Falorin has posted images and a hands on video showing more details of the Nokia Lumia 929 which is with a US carrier Verizon. The phone looks like the Nokia 1520 and is believed to sport a Full HD display with a 20 MP camera. The device is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 chipset. What showed up in the video was a nano SIM card which is has not been Nokia’s cup of tea, however, the device is also rumored to be released on 28 November on the occasion of Thanksgiving.     The Company claims the device to be the slimmest phone in world, as the device has a width of  6.2 mm and weighs just 120 grams. The Huawei Ascend P6 features a 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The dvice is powered by company’s own manufactured chipset which has a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and the device runs in Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The device has a 2 GB of RAM and a  8 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable upto 32 GB. The Huawei Ascend P6 sports a 8 MP primary camera F2.0 aperture and 4cm macro view with a BSI sensor which can do full HD video, secondary camera on the device is 5 MP.

    The device is packed with a 2000 mAh battery and will be available in three color options: Pink, Black and White. The device seems to gave some decent specifications but the price tag seems a bit high.

The Hugh Jackman promoted device runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor. Canvas turbo has a 2 GB of RAM coupled with a 16 GB of inbuilt storage.

    LG is not only limited with Android devices, be it Nexus or any other device as LG has launched a Firefox operating system based smartphone. The Mozilla based smartphone is named Fireweb.

    Fireweb sports a 4 inch HVGA display –large screen as said in the video below– with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The device is powered by a 1 GHz 3G Qualcomm processor and 2 GB of memory, not clear as per the press release. The device is equipped with a 5 MP camera, the camera also features auto-focus and keeps the tittle of being the first Firefox OS phone to have auto-focus and LED flash. Vivo Brazil is selling the Fireweb at a price of 449 BRL ($207 US).

    Nokia has not only focused on high end and Mid range devices with the Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320 respectively, the company has also launched its feature phones, the Nokia Asha 500, 502 and the 503.

    Nokia said that 26 million Asha phones have sold so far, the company has announced that it’s adding three new phones to the Asha series. All the three feature phones showcases the same primary colored plastic casing as we have seen on the 501, the only difference one can easily catch is the new glass like layer of transparent polycarbonate.

    The Asha 500 has a 2.8-inch screen and a 2 MP camera, where as both the 502 and the 503 have 3 inch screens and 5 MP cameras with LED flash. The 503 also has Gorilla Glass 2 and 3G connectivity. All three phones have WiFi, quad-band EDGE and showcases one month of battery standby time. The 500, 502 and 503 are priced at $69, $89 and $99 respectively. These phones will be available by end of this year in bright red, bright green, yellow, cyan, white and black.

    On the availability of Whatsapp on the Asha phones the company proudly claimed that Whatsapp registers 250,000 users everyday through Nokia handsets. Nokia also announced that the social feature on Fastlane, Asha’s list-like view of recent activity, is now customizable. All these features would also be updated to the already available Asha 501.

The device is powered by powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipse, the device runs on Windows Phone 8 OS. Lumia 1320 sports a 5 MP camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. 

    The device is packed with a 3400 mAh battery which is same as its big brother Lumia 1520. The device has an internal storage of 8 GB which is expandable via micro SD and is coupled with a 1 GB of RAM. The phone is available in black, white, red and yellow color and is priced at 339 USD. The device will be available early 2014.
