Asus Launches Transformer Book T100 in India For 34099 INR

Asus today launched its Transformer Book T100 in India at a price of 34099 INR. The T100 is a laptop which can also be used as a tablet, the device runs on Windows 8.1 and will be available in November.

The Asus Transformer Book T100 features a 10.1 inch HD Glare display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixles and can be detached from the laptop and used as a tablet. The keyboard is equipped with a dock connector that attaches the tablet to turn into a laptop and also includes backlit keys.

The T100 is powered by a 1.33 GHz quad core Intel Atom Bay-trail T Z3740 processor along with Intel HD graphics. The Asus Transformer Book T100 is packed with a 2 GB of RAM and a 32 GB built-in eMMC storage expandable to 64 GB via microSD card. Asus says that the device can run almost through out the day and give 10 hours of continuous video playback. The 2 in 1 device has a 1.2 MP front facing camera.

The Asus Transformer Book T100 is powered by dual frontal speakers and weighs 1.07 Kg as a laptop and 550 grams as a tablet.

Samsung Competes With Apple, Prices Galaxy Golden Flip Phone At Rs. 51900

Ever since Apple’s got the idea to launch an iPhone in the Golden color, we have seen many phones opting the Gold color to name few, the HTC One and even the Galaxy S4.

Today Samsung has announced a new phone in the Indian market, Samsung Galaxy Golden Flip Phone is now available in the leading stores. Flipkart is taking pre-orders for the smartphone at a price of Rs. 49,900. The look alike of this phone was first launched in the Korean market in August this year and is now available in India probably at the right time, Diwali!

The company claims the device is made to give an easy to use and operate experience. It comes with ‘Easy Mode’, which comes with large fonts and icons and enables the users to access and search apps quickly. It also highlights certain features on the device like favorite apps and easy settings. Another feature is the ‘Hidden Receiver’ that allows users to take calls without opening the folder.

The phone is powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Golden Flip Phone has a 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded upto 64 GB. Galaxy Golden features a 8 MP primary camera along with a 1.9 MP front facing camera. The device has a 1820 mAh battery and connectivity option include Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth.

The Samsung Galaxy Golden should be available in the shops nearby you, the phone is priced at 51900 INR which seems overpriced for a phone with these specifications, while the price high could be because of the two 3.7 inches Super AMOLED displays.

Nexus 5 Might Launch On 1st November in Black and White Color

We have been waiting for some official news for the Nexus 5, the wait continues as what we are going to talk about is still not official but does gives us a hint of when this much awaited phone can be official.

The latest leaked render from evleaks shows Nexus 5 with a white back, the post shared on twitter says “In white. 11/1.” It’s definitely an unclear statement, but if we consider the previous leaks and the Google Play Store listing this might just be the right time to launch the Nexus 5. As per the rumors the smartphone will feature a 4.95 inch Full HD 1080p display, and will be powered by a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU. The device is said to be available in both 16 and 32 GB variants with a black and white color options and ofcourse the leaked pricing of $349 which can undoubtedly make this phone a hot seller once it is available in the market. LG Officially Announces G Flex a Curved Smartphone With Self Healing Back Cover

LG Electronics today officially announced the LG G Flex, a smartphone which is curved and is said to to follow the contour of the face, it is the first device to offer such a design in the smartphone market claims LG.

The LG G Flex is the best representation yet of how a smartphone should be curved,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “The LG G Flex with its distinctive design, innovative hardware and consumer-centric UX represents the most significant development in the smartphone space since smartphone became part of our regular vocabulary.”

How can the curved display help ? here is what the company says: the vertically curved design of the LG G Flex reduces the distance between one’s mouth to the microphone when the device is held against the ear, as traditional telephone handsets used to. The LG G Flex employs a curvature arc that is optimized for the average face, to deliver improved voice and sound quality.That is not all, the company is offering the same back buttons that we saw it on its latest flagship the LG G2.

The LG G Flex also includes an array of new UX features:

– QTheater gives users quick access to photos, videos and YouTube right from the lock screen. By touching the screen and dragging outward along the curved surface with both fingers, the apps appear with the effect of theater curtains being drawn.

– Dual Window divides the wide 6-inch screen into two separate windows for more effective multitasking.

– Swing Lockscreen alters the image on the lockscreen depending on how the G Flex is held.

– Face Detection Indicator displays the LED on the Rear Key in green to confirm status of face detection and focus.

Lets talk about the specs now, LG G Flex uses a flexible OLED screen technology is 7.9 to 8.7 mm thick at various points, weighs 177g, and features a 6 inch HD 1280 x 720 display. The device is powered by a 2.26 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, a 2 GB of RAM coupled with 32 GB inbuilt storage and a 3,500 mAh battery. The device is equipped with a 13 MP primary camera along with a 2.1 MP front camera and the G Flex runs on Android 4.2.2.

Alright, so LG has added a new feature to the G Flex, the phone has a “Self Healing” coating on the back cover which is a elastic coating to which the company claims will help the back to recover from the usage scratches and nicks which will help the device to look new every time. This is something new indeed, but we cannot comment on it without our hands on with the device. The device will be available in Korea in November no word for availability in other countries.

Nokia Lumia 929 Leaks Out in a Video

Many of us were surprised when Nokia did not unveil its Lumia 929 smartphone in the event held in Abu Dhabi last week. This can be a good news for people waiting anxiously for the phone to launch, as recent leaks show us the images and video of the alleged phone.

WPCentral forum member Falorin has posted images and a hands on video showing more details of the Nokia Lumia 929 which is with a US carrier Verizon. The phone looks like the Nokia 1520 and is believed to sport a Full HD display with a 20 MP camera. The device is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 chipset. What showed up in the video was a nano SIM card which is has not been Nokia’s cup of tea, however, the device is also rumored to be released on 28 November on the occasion of Thanksgiving. Huawei Ascend P6 a 4.7 inch HD display Phone Launched at 29999 INR

Huawei has launched its new smartphone, the Ascend P6 in India and is priced at 29999 INR. This flagship from the company is expected to be available soon in the Indian market and can be seen on few online retailers as well.

The Company claims the device to be the slimmest phone in world, as the device has a width of 6.2 mm and weighs just 120 grams. The Huawei Ascend P6 features a 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The dvice is powered by company’s own manufactured chipset which has a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and the device runs in Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The device has a 2 GB of RAM and a 8 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable upto 32 GB. The Huawei Ascend P6 sports a 8 MP primary camera F2.0 aperture and 4cm macro view with a BSI sensor which can do full HD video, secondary camera on the device is 5 MP.

The device is packed with a 2000 mAh battery and will be available in three color options: Pink, Black and White. The device seems to gave some decent specifications but the price tag seems a bit high.

Micromax Launches Canvas Turbo 5 Inch Full HD Screen at 19990 INR

Micromax has unveiled its first smartphone with full-HD display, the Canvas Turbo is priced at 19990 INR. The device will be available in the markets by this weekend.

The Micromax Canvas Turbo sports a a 5 inch full-HD dsiplay with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The Hugh Jackman promoted device runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor. Canvas turbo has a 2 GB of RAM coupled with a 16 GB of inbuilt storage.

Commenting on the launch, Rahul Sharma, Co-founder, Micromax said, “At Micromax, our focus has always been to keep innovating to democratize technology for masses by offering seamless experience through a combination of great hardware and enhanced software capabilities. The fully aluminium made device will be available starting 26 October and will be sold in two colors blue and white.

BlackBerry Launches New Flagship BlackBerry Z30 in India at a Price of 39990 INR

BlackBerry has launched the Z30 for the Indian market today at a price of 39990 INR. The Blackberry Z30 will be available in the Indian market starting early next week.

The BlackBerry Z30 is the flagship and the biggest smartphone in BlackBerry’s range of phones, it is a phablet like device. The device features a 5 inch Super AMOLED display and is powered with a 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with Quad Core Adreno 320 GPU. The device is packed with a 2 GB of RAM along with a 16 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via micro SD card.

Camera on the BlackBerry Z30 is 8 MP primary camera and a 2 MP secondary camera, the device runs on BlackBerry 10.2 OS which itself has some interesting features and were illustrated well at the launch. While watching the teasers and joining of Hugh Jackman with Micromax as an ambassador for the teased Micromax Turbo, everyone believed next launch by the company would be the Canvas Turbo. However, Micromax has secretly been working on another smartphone named Canvas Magnus which is now available online at a price of 14999 INR.

The Micromax Canvas Magnus features a 5 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly bean and is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. The Micromax Canvas Magnus besides being pronounced as a rhyme also features a 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage which is expandable via Micro SD. The device features a 12 MP primary camera accompanied with a LED flash, a 2 MP secondary camera. The device is packed with 2000 mAh battery, connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ AGPS, and 3G. The device also support Dual SIM.

No word on availability as the company has not officially revealed the device yet, they might be buzy with the upcoming Canvas Turbo.

Samsung has launched the latest Galaxy Note tablet in India, the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is priced at 49990 INR. The tablet is now available throughout India in all the stores.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition sports a 10.1 inch WQXGA display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is powered by a 1.9 GHz quad-core and 1.3 Ghz quad-core Exynos 5 Octa processor. The device is packed with a 3GB of RAM which was seen on the Note 3, the tablet has a 32 GB inbuilt storage which is expandable via Micro SD. The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a 8 MP primary camera with BSI sensor and autofocus along with LED flash, the secondary camera on the device is a 2 MP BSI sensor. The device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and is packed with a giant 8220 mAh battery.

LG Launches Fireweb a Firefox OS Smartphone in Brazil

LG is not only limited with Android devices, be it Nexus or any other device as LG has launched a Firefox operating system based smartphone. The Mozilla based smartphone is named Fireweb.

Fireweb sports a 4 inch HVGA display –large screen as said in the video below– with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The device is powered by a 1 GHz 3G Qualcomm processor and 2 GB of memory, not clear as per the press release. The device is equipped with a 5 MP camera, the camera also features auto-focus and keeps the tittle of being the first Firefox OS phone to have auto-focus and LED flash. Vivo Brazil is selling the Fireweb at a price of 449 BRL ($207 US).

Nokia Asha 500, 502 and 503 Unveiled Priced at $69, $89 and $99 Respectively

Nokia has not only focused on high end and Mid range devices with the Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320 respectively, the company has also launched its feature phones, the Nokia Asha 500, 502 and the 503.

Nokia said that 26 million Asha phones have sold so far, the company has announced that it’s adding three new phones to the Asha series. All the three feature phones showcases the same primary colored plastic casing as we have seen on the 501, the only difference one can easily catch is the new glass like layer of transparent polycarbonate.

The Asha 500 has a 2.8-inch screen and a 2 MP camera, where as both the 502 and the 503 have 3 inch screens and 5 MP cameras with LED flash. The 503 also has Gorilla Glass 2 and 3G connectivity. All three phones have WiFi, quad-band EDGE and showcases one month of battery standby time. The 500, 502 and 503 are priced at $69, $89 and $99 respectively. These phones will be available by end of this year in bright red, bright green, yellow, cyan, white and black.

On the availability of Whatsapp on the Asha phones the company proudly claimed that Whatsapp registers 250,000 users everyday through Nokia handsets. Nokia also announced that the social feature on Fastlane, Asha’s list-like view of recent activity, is now customizable. All these features would also be updated to the already available Asha 501.

Nokia has announced the Lumia 1320, a new smartphone in the Lumia series along with the Lumia 1520 at the today’s launch in Abu Dhabi. Nokia also announced other device like the 2520 Windows tablet and the Asha Phones.

The Nokia Lumia 1320 features a 6 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered by powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipse, the device runs on Windows Phone 8 OS. Lumia 1320 sports a 5 MP camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera.

The device is packed with a 3400 mAh battery which is same as its big brother Lumia 1520. The device has an internal storage of 8 GB which is expandable via micro SD and is coupled with a 1 GB of RAM. The phone is available in black, white, red and yellow color and is priced at 339 USD. The device will be available early 2014.
