While the camera specifications of the Sony Xperia smartphone seem authentic, the tipster claims it should be taken with a grain of salt. As the device is still in development and nowhere near its official announcement, the optics can be changed before the launch. However, if Sony does go forward and launch a handset with eight cameras in total, it will beat the previous record held by the Nokia 9 PureView for most camera sensors in a smartphone; which has a total of six cameras, five at the back and one on the front.
