Free To Play Forza Street Out On PC, Will Also Launch On Android And iOS

One of Microsoft’s most popular games, Forza is all set to make its appearance on mobile devices. The game is known for combining the open-world racing scenario with amazing visuals and even more iconic vehicles. In the month of October 2018, Forza Horizon 4 was launched, and the game received rave reviews globally. The game publisher is now bringing a free-to-play version of the racing game, Forza Street to Windows 10. Praiseworthy, the game will also be available on iOS and Android devices later in 2019.

In early 2018, Microsoft released a racing game called “Miami Street”. Forza Street is actually a rebranding of the aforementioned game, but with new and significant upgrades, such as a whole new narrative, upgraded parts, an audio overhaul and refreshed animations. The game was announced by Turn 10 Studios on April 16 2019, and it made its way to Windows 10 on the same day.

    Forza Street Mechanics

Unlike conventional racing games, Forza street incorporates timing-based gameplay, which requires the player to press/click the space bar or left mouse button to accelerate. In order to slow down, all the player has to do is to let go of the button. This means that the player doesn’t have to steer the car, however, accelerating and decelerating around corners can be craftier than the whole steering process. Depending on the accuracy of speeding up and slowing down, the racer is provided with boosts, which can be used to speed up the vehicle.

    Earning Credits And Unlocking Rewards

Winning races can be very rewarding to players, as a lot of credits are earned by finishing first. Players can use those credits to upgrade existing car parts,  purchase new ones, or to unlock new cars. The game is completely free-to-play, however, it may be referred to as pay-to-win, as microtransactions can enable users to unlock their dream car way earlier than someone who is grinding for the same.

Albeit a simple game, Forza Street is still a treat for all racing fans. Some races can be even completed under a minute, making this a good game for those who are on-the-go. And on top of that, it’s not a paid game, so it doesn’t hurt to try out the game’s mechanics. Click here to download the game from the Microsoft Store.

High Court Directs Indian Government To Review PUBG Mobile For Objectionable Content

On April 14, the Bombay High Court directed the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MEIT) to test out the features of wildly popular mobile game PUBG and take necessary action in regard to the objectionable content in the game. The PIL (Public Interest Litigation) was represented by the father of the 11-year old boy from Mumbai, Ahad Nizam, who previously alleged that the game has elements that promote aggression, violence and immoral conduct in daily life. The PIL suggests that the game should be banned in schools for the same reason.

In response to the litigation, Government pleader Poornima Kantharia stated that most schools do not permit usage of mobile phones and the game itself. Furthermore, a division bench of Chief Justice Pradeep Nandrajog and Justice NM Jamdar raised a notable question against the petition, stating that parents should keep the addiction of their children to PUBG in check. Moreover, parents should stop their children from playing PUBG Mobile if the game legitimately contains objectionable content.

As the player count of PUBG Mobile increases day-by-day, the PIL is seeking to get the game completely banned from schools. The PIL is also seeking directions to the MEIT to put together an Online Ethics Review Committee to regulate all online content that may considered as “unsafe”. Consequently, the Bench directed the Secretary of the Information & Technology Ministry to test the game in its entirety and take required action against concerned authorities and service providers in case the content does not comply. The court has adjourned the case for now and will continue the hearing after the vacations.

A lot of cases have been spotted nation-wide when indiscretion regarding the game has led to fatal consequences. Previously, 2 students were mauled by a train while they were engrossed in the Battle Royale game. In another incident, a 25-year old mistook acid for water while playing PUBG and had a narrow escape in the hospital. The game was banned in Gujarat recently, and the Police arrested students multiple times for playing the game in public. Clearly, PUBG Mobile is intended to be played by children over 16 years of age, as is mentioned on all the application stores. However, insufficient discretion is maintained regarding the same.

  • The Best Peripherals For Your Gaming Setup

The Best Peripherals For Your Gaming Setup

As Gaming PCs are becoming more popular day-by-day, people are starting to invest a fair chunk in building their setups. If a user has invested a majority of his time configuring his/her PC, chances are that he/she might have overlooked an aspect which holds a very important spot in a gaming setup. Peripherals are the basis of any complete setup, and choosing the best ones can be a little tricky. That is the exact reason why professional gamers spend so much time picking out the perfect peripherals for the most optimal experience.

With the evolution of gaming, a lot of brands have emerged which aim to provide catered products as per the consumer base. For instance, streamers may require more flashy and aesthetic peripherals than regular gamers, who might end up focusing more on specifications of the same. The same may also depend on the game in concern. For example, if you play more FPS games than MOBAs, keyboards and mice with fewer add-on keys are perfect for you. Similarly, while playing MOBAs, macro keys and buttons come in handy.

Let’s have a look at some best-in-class gaming peripherals, ranging from keyboards to mice and gaming headphones as well.

    Gaming Keyboards

A lot of people pay more attention to gaming mice rather than the keyboard, but it is important to note that both the peripherals complement each other equally. Since a keyboard can be used for more than one task (for instance, typing and gaming), it makes sense to focus on the keyboard as well. And since membrane keyboards have given way to mechanical keyboards, it would be more viable to get a good mechanical keyboard that serves your purpose.

Listed below are 2 keyboards that offer nearly everything you need in a mechanical gaming keyboard:

    Corsair K95 RGB Platinum

The K95 Platinum is a keyboard that has a plethora of features, which is apparent from its huge size. Keeping in mind that it will occupy its fair share of space in your desk, the K95 RGB Platinum delivers on all fronts. The keyboard has MX Brown switches, which don’t produce as much sound as Cherry MX Blue switches, so the keyboard doesn’t create a huge racquet when you decide to type on it. In terms of functionality, the K95 has a metallic volume wheel, dedicated media controls and above all, class-leading RGB integration, using which you can easily sync it with other peripherals. A detachable wrist rest ensures maximum wrist comfort while playing. Moreover, users can swap the WASD keys with a set of textured keycaps that come bundled with the keyboard.

    HyperX Alloy Elite

If you are on a bit of a budget, the HyperX Alloy Elite is a perfect package. While not as “beautiful” as the Corsair K95, the Alloy Elite packs all the necessary set of features required in a good mechanical gaming keyboard. Customers can choose from Cherry MX Brown, Blue and Red keys on the keyboard. Albeit it doesn’t have a set of dedicated Macro keys, it is priced much lower than the K95 keyboard. Also, the keyboard features just a single Red backlit version for the base model. Similar to the K95 RGB Platinum, it is bundled with an extra set of silver keycaps for the WASD keys as well as 4 number keys. N-key rollover ensures that all the key presses will be registered without any errors.

    Gaming Mice

As mentioned previously, a good gaming mouse always complements the keyboard. This means that the first preference while choosing a gaming mouse is that it should fit the hand’s native grip. There are a total of three general grips: The first is the palm grip, in which the user grips the mouse with his complete hand and rests his/her palm on the rear section of the device. The second grip is the Claw Grip, where the person’s fingertips are almost perpendicular to the mouse click buttons. The last grip is named as the “finger grip” because the fingers rest flat on the mouse click buttons themselves.

Listed below are the two of the best gaming mice available right now.

    Logitech G502

Logitech’s own prized baby, the G502 looks like a hybrid of the Logitech MX518 and G500. Packing one of the best native 16,000 CPI sensors in the market, the G502 weighs at about 121 grams with all its weights removed (the mouse comes bundled with extra weights). The mouse is best for palm grip users and has a premium build quality that makes it a pleasure to use. A notable feature of the mouse is the fact that the scroll wheel of the same can be switched between a notched spinning mode and a free spinning mode.

    Razer Deathadder Elite

Razer Deathadder is a mouse that needs no introduction to gamers. The first generation of the Razer DeathAdder was unveiled in 2006. Since then, the mouse has undergone significant improvements, and almost 10 years later, the Deathadder Elite was launched by the company. The mouse is an all-round performer, and it uses a 16,000 CPI sensor, which is developed by Pixart in collaboration with Logitech. The sensor claims to provide 99.4% resolution accuracy, which means that the mouse delivers best-in-class tracking.

    Headphones

Some of the best games available for PC are enjoyed in isolation. Although getting a good pair of speakers is necessary too, headphones enable you to cut-off from sounds around you and focus on the task at hand. Moreover, multiplayer games require acute sound sense, for hearing the sound of footsteps approaching can be a difference between winning and losing the game. Overall, it has been deduced that wired headphones provide better sound quality, but with technology evolving at an extremely fast pace, wireless headphones have become equally popular.

Given below are two performance-worthy gaming headphones.

    Steelseries Arctis Pro w GameDAC

If you can shell out the money for it, the Steelseries Arctis Pro GameDAC provides the best audio quality available amongst a variety of headphones today. The headphones offer high quality lossless audio streaming feature with a 5Hz-40KHz frequency response range. The headphones sport a modern design, which male them perfect for regular usage as well. The highlight of this headset is the GameDAC, which comprises of the following components:

    1. A Digital-to-analog converter
    2. A preamplifier
    3. A control centre to regulate volume levels

Moreover, aesthetics-wise, an RGB ring encasing the earcups gives the headphones an attractive look.

    HyperX Cloud Alpha

Priced at less than half of the price of Steelseries Artics, the HyperX Cloud Alpha may not have a DAC module, but it is one of the best performers on the scene. Sporting no extra gimmicks, the HyperX Cloud Alpha are bass-rich, making them the perfect companions to both music and gaming. The headphones have 50mm dual chamber neodymium drivers, which accurately reproduce frequencies. The headphones provide a high amount of comfort over long periods of time and feature a decent microphone.

  • Oppo Patents Attractive Gaming Interface For Smartphones With Notch Display

Oppo Patents Attractive Gaming Interface For Smartphones With Notch Display

The popularity of mobile gaming has boomed a lot over the past few months, and some part of the credit goes to smartphone brands launching more budget-aggressive smartphones. Unfortunately, a lot of smartphones feature a notch, which hinders the gaming process on the device. For starters, the notch covers some important aspects of the HUD (Heads Up Display) which forms an integral part of the gaming interface. A great example is PUBG Mobile, where a big notch can cover up the inventory button in some devices. To get rid of such problems, Oppo has patented a stylish gaming interface for smartphones with a notch with interesting functionalities.

    About Oppo’s Gaming Interface

Smartphones are evolving rapidly, and sure enough, many devices have the capability to run multiple applications at the same time. Higher battery capacities imply that multitasking is even more viable in such devices. More graphic-intensive games can be run on such devices, so Chinese Smartphone manufacturer Oppo has patented a gaming interface, which will allow users to launch certain apps during gaming on the device.

Known as the “Game Space”, the feature was first spotted in the Find X, and it brings up an aesthetically pleasing notification list on the left side of the screen while playing games. Using the control wheel, users can toggle the graphics acceleration mode while running graphics intensive games, record their gameplay, take a screenshot, activate Do Not Disturb and even send a Whatsapp message using the same.

    About The Patent

As per reports, the patents were first applied for by Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications in 2018, and the Global Design Database of the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) published the aforementioned patents on April 2, 2019.

A special feature of the interface is that it can be used with similar convenience in both the portrait and landscape mode. Users can swipe through the complete list available in the interface around the notch. Furthermore, it does not hinder the view of the game, which may prove to be quite helpful. The feature is expected to be available in future Reno smartphones, which are likely to launch in the month of April.

  • Ten Legendary Games That Changed Gaming Forever

Ten Legendary Games That Changed Gaming Forever

Gaming is no longer just a hobby, it’s a crude passion for someone who aims to get better with every game played. In the age of AAA titles making its way to libraries all across the globe, it’s tough to pick up a game to play, and it’s even tougher to pull your gaze away from the screen after you have done so. Each developing generation of games brings a storyline that is deeply immersive and has characters that are true to life. Protagonists like Dante from Devil May Cry and Kratos from God Of War are a reminder to fight evil with utmost brutality, whereas characters like Lara Croft from Tomb Raider are a symbol of unending perseverance and fire.

Over time, Video games have evolved, but the legacy that recent games have built is laid on the foundation of classic games that redefined the way games were perceived as. And no, we are not just talking about games like Super Mario Bros. and Sonic. We are talking games that have remastered versions being developed even today, after all these years. Games that you can play today and still enjoy without a shred of guilt.

Let’s have a look at what we think are the 10 most legendary video games of all time. Note that the list is not sorted, so there is no particular preference here.

    Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare

Call of Duty is a name that’s still associated with modern day FPS games, and quite rightly so since the term “Call-of-Duty-style-gameplay” wasn’t coined from nothing. The game brought a host of features to conventional shooting gameplay. And note that we are not just talking about the multiplayer experience here. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 had one of the best storylines ever featured in an FPS game, and for the aforementioned reasons, the Legendary game was presented with the VGX award for the Best Shooter in 2011, the same year in which the game was released.

The game is available on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

    Half-Life

If you are into gaming 1998 onwards, you would definitely know what Half-Life is. The PC shooter completely revolutionized story mode gameplay by introducing a character that had no voice and face, hence devoid of personality. Allowing the player to imagine himself/herself as whatever he/she wants to be, Valve Studios decided to remove any kind of cinematics from the game, thus ensuring that the story’s fillers and essential parts are narrated in the premises of the game itself. The game had a sequel, which was released in 2004, and still remains one of the highest rated game sequels of all time. Sadly, it’s been almost 15 years and a third iteration of the game hasn’t released yet, even though fans had their fingers crossed the entire time.

The game is available on PC.

    Halo

Some of the biggest FPS titles today have Halo to thank for some of the most intuitive features that the game brought to the scene. If you’re oblivious to the same, Halo was the first game that gave birth to the out-of-combat-regeneration feature, and very much so, games like Call of Duty, Battlefield and Medal of Honor still rely on similar mechanics in their latest releases. Some other innovative elements include exciting vehicles, a standard 2-weapon carry limit and melee combat. Plus, the game was one of the earliest true FPS games on a console, and that gave birth to a fanbase which is still as loyal. Furthermore, the franchise is coming to PC soon, so there is another reason to catch up with the same.

The game is available on Xbox.

    Wolfenstein 3D

Are you getting tired of FPS games? Because there is one more game which ACTUALLY lay the foundation stone of what FPS is and what it could be. Originally released in 1993, Wolfenstein was an intense 3D fast paced shooter that had action-packed combat, making it one of the most engaging games of its time. Another game in our list, Doom was based on Wolfenstein’s design model, and went on to build its own legacy, just like Wolfenstein 3D did. God knows what FPS would have been like without the creation of a game like this.

The game is (or was) available on PC.

    Mortal Kombat

If you look at video games and wonder where all the bloodshed therein came from, Mortal Kombat will probably top the list. Some creators say that Mortal Kombat was the sole reason why the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) started regulating video games more seriously. Either way, Mortal Kombat introduced characters like Skorpion and Rayden, which were undoubtedly the coolest characters of their time. The game was released way back in 1992, and amidst all the 2D combat, Fatalities (which involved decapitation and slashes of sorts) became very popular, and the genre of the game is carried forward to rebooted versions of the same today.

The game was originally available on the SEGA console, but the later versions of the game are playable on PC, Xbox and PlayStation as well.

    Super Mario Bros

Mario is a very common name in Italy, and even more popular as the game which gave birth to countless unforgettable moments. First spotted in 1981 in the insanely viral “Donkey Kong” game, Mario’s first character got its first solo appearance in the 1985 game “Super Mario Bros”. A game that literally needs no introduction, it was first released on the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System), and offered a fun 8-bit gameplay with equally fun to experience music. Apparently, Mario was in search of his princess, and you, the player had to help him achieve his goal by besting everyone and everything that stood in your way. Almost 50 iterations of the original game have been released till now, and the developers have no intentions of slowing down.

The game is available on the NES.

    Doom

As mentioned before, Doom was created by the same developers who designed and put Wolfenstein on the map. The game, when released, was nothing short of perfect. It had everything to propel it to the very top: the perfect level of mystery and thrill, seismic music that put players on edge while playing and action-packed combat physics that were never seen before. Players played in the cast of the devil, who was the protagonist of the game, and his sole goal is to eliminate all forms of demons and filth roaming everywhere around him. A little ironic, but since its release in 1993, the game has been adapted into more than 10 versions of the same, each more demanding than the last.

The latest game is now available on all major platforms, including PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

    Street Fighter

One year before the debut of Mortal Kombat to the fighting genre, Street Fighter created ripples as a game that can be enjoyed to levels that can only be deemed as insane. The game had the perfect gameplay depth and design required to engage the players. The game quickly became popular, and players started memorizing all the button combinations in an attempt to become the best at it. Some of the game combinations are even carried over to the modern-day adaptations of the same, with Ryu and Ken’s fireballs being an all-time favourite attack.

The game was originally available on retro arcade machines, but since then, the game has been made available on all popular platforms.

    Minecraft

This is probably the only sandbox game on this list, and rightly so, because Minecraft had everything a player needed to spend countless hours on a game that allowed him/her full freedom to experiment with anything he/she wanted. The game had an engaging storyline. The game had one of the biggest open world scenarios ever seen. What’s more, the game is receiving full support from its developers even today, and for this reason, Minecraft still has a huge player base across the world. Also, did we mention that facing a zombie without a weapon in Minecraft during the dead of the night can be the most terrifying thing in the world?

The game is available in different versions across all major platforms

    GTA – Grand Theft Auto

GTA, like Super Mario, needs absolutely no introduction. Rockstar games sold a staggering 90 million copies of Grand Theft Auto 5, generating over 6 billion dollars in revenue – a number that even some amazing Hollywood movies can’t touch. With some awesome storylines spread across all its versions, the franchise remains as one of the highest rated game series of all time. Players can do almost anything in the game that they can do in real life, except firing a gun in public and getting away with it. With the latest games including an open-world multiplayer scenario, the hype for GTA VI (which releases in 2020) is at an all time high.

The latest GTA games are available on all major platforms today.

  • Interesting Facts About PUBG That You Probably Did Not Know

Interesting Facts About PUBG That You Probably Did Not Know

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG has become a worldwide sensation since its launch in the year 2017. The game has seen an exponential amount of exposure which further increased when it was announced for smartphones. PUBG Mobile was launched last year for iOS and Android devices and has since transcended into a pop culture icon. But despite being so popular, some interesting facts about the game are still a mystery. So here are interesting facts about PUBG that even most hardcore fans don’t know.

    Creator of PUBG
    Brendan Greene

We all know the game, but do we know the man behind it? Brendan Greene is credited as the creator of PUBG. The Irish born game developer got the idea of the game after reading the Hunger Games books. It is said Greene did not know anything about programming and learning it in order to develop the game. In recent news, Greene has said that the sequel to the game, purportedly PUBG 2 is not in the schedule and might never get released as he is done with Battle Royale as a whole.

    The Reason Behind The Name

The full form of PUBG is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as mentioned above. The name is pretty weird and not exactly relevant, and there is a good reason behind it. It is because the creator of the game Brendan Greene was also an avid gamer, and the name he used for his player in the games he played was Player Unknown. All of it makes so much more sense now.

The Rarest Item In The Game

The Virtual Red Bandana is one of the rarest items in PUBG. When the game was launched in 2017, the pre-orders were bundled with the item and was available in loot boxes. After a while, the boxes stopped or rarely featured the bandana so its rarity increased manifolds. Kotaku reported the same year that a user bought the in-game item for as high as US$ 1000 (Rs. 69,000).

    Most Simultaneously Played Game

PUBG holds the world record for the most simultaneously played game of all time. In December 2017, the game hit 3,106,358 people playing the game simultaneously. Interestingly, the game broke its own record it made in September the same year. Even today, PUBG is in the top five most played game by current count.

    Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

We all crave for the phrase “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner’ to appear on our screens, announcing our triumph in PUBG. But the phrase wasn’t invented by the game or its creator. It is said during the great depression, a period in the 1930s of economic crisis when people used to gamble. If they played with money and won, they could afford a chicken for dinner. With time, the phrase caught on and became what it is today. Fortunately, we don’t have to gamble to get the chicken dinner for ourselves.

    How Erangel Got Its Name

Erangel is the most recognised and the primary map in PUBG. But does the name mean anything or is it just fictionary? The name Erangel was inspired by the creator Brendan Greene’s daughter Eryn. So combining ‘Eryn’ with ‘Angel’ gives us one of the most recognisable places by any gamer who has played PUBG.

    Bots In PUBG Mobile

If you’ve been playing PUBG Mobile for a while now, you would know that the game has bots in places. They are AI generated players that are purposely bad at shooting. But why introduce them in the first place when there is no lack of players in the game? It is said to ease new players to the game, they are made to play in a game with mostly or all bots. This is said to be done until level 10. It is subjective, but many people still think bots ruin the intense, action-packed gaming experience that it so promises.

    PUBG Advertisements

The parent company of PUBG for PC and consoles, Bluehole corporation didn’t spend any money on advertising the game. It is claimed to be because the word of mouth was so strong that they didn’t need to. On the other hand, PUBG Mobile is one of the first mobile games to have its advertisements broadcasted on television in India. This should give you an idea of how popular the game really is.

    Pochinki Is Real!
    Real Life Pochinki In Russia

If you’ve played the Erangel map in PUBG enough, there is no need to introduce what Pochinki is. The location on the map has become famous due to it being in the middle and having good hiding spots. But did you know there are several rural localities in Russia named Pochinki? And that Yasnaya Polyana, another famous spot on the map is a writer’s house museum, and also the former house of famous author Leo Tolstoy. Guess there is more to reality than is to fiction in PUBG.

Cheating is never tolerated anywhere in the world. PUBG is the same, as many people, who allegedly cheated in the game have been banned for as much as a 100 years! According to the company, cheating is defined as using inappropriate programs, bug abuse, etc and can result in a permanent ban. So if you get banned for 100 years, make sure your grandchild takes home the chicken dinner for you.

Fortnite’s “Reboot Van” Is Just Like Apex Legends’ Respawn Feature, Will Arrive Next Week

A neck to neck battle is prevailing between some of the best battle-royale games right now, and Fortnite and Apex seem to be grinding it out. Quickly becoming a fan favourite, Apex Legends charmed its new player base with exciting features such as the unique pinging system, special character abilities and the innovative “respawn” option. Recently, Epic Games carried over the pinging mechanism from Apex Legends to its game. As per the latest tweet from the company, Fortnite will soon get a similar respawn feature to Apex Legends.

    About The Update

First leaked in February 2018, the feature will allow players to revive their fallen teammates using various “reboot vans” spread all over the map. One of the most bothersome things regarding Battle Royale games is getting removed from the match early and watching your teammates play the entire game without you. In fast-paced Battle Royale games, a lot of players are knocked out of the game in the early stages, and most of them end up leaving the match for the sole reason that they can play another game in the time it takes to spectate the previous one. While Apex Legends was the first game to combat this problem with the help of Respawn Beacons, Fortnite is quickly following in the same footsteps of the EA-published game.

How Does The Reboot Van Work?

Fortnite’s respawn feature looks very alike to its counterpart, except for one gimmick. The reboot vans are likely to be one-time usable, which means that a squad or a player can use the van only once to revive a teammate. However, as hinted in the YouTube video for the same, the vans may turn inactive for a certain duration of time after reviving the teammates but will continue to function normally after the aforementioned period.

The reboot vans will be highlighted throughout the map. Also, once the reboot/revival sequence has been initiated, an audio cue will be played along with a beam of light which will inform nearby players regarding the usage of the Reboot van. A lot of players took to criticizing the fact that the game is copying features from its competition, but the game has already proven that it can redefine the whole battle-royale genre with a feature like building structures. The official update may be rolled out in the second week of April 2019.

Everything You Need To Know About PUBG Mobile Prime & Prime Plus Subscriptions

A lot of mobile games include a subscription model where users can purchase a monthly or yearly subscription, which allows them to reap added benefits in the game. Contrary to popular belief, the subscriptions do not make the games pay to win, rather it just enables users to have more fun in the games with customizations and discounts. About The Subscriptions

The new subscriptions give the buyer daily UC (Unknown Cash), BP (Battle Points) and amazing discounts on crates. Furthermore, a lot of outfits and weapon skins will be available for purchase via BP and RP points, which was not possible before. PUBG Mobile Adds Rocket Launcher, New Zombie Mode In Latest Update

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG Mobile, in the one year it has been available, has quickly grown to become one of the most popular smartphone games of all times. Tencent, the team behind the game, has added a host of new features in the latest beta update. The latest update carries the version 0.12.0 and adds features like new weapons, event and an all-new spectate functionality.

    What’s New?

The latest update of PUBG Mobile is available to download for selected users under the beta program. The biggest noticeable change is the addition of a new Zombie Mode. Available under the event section, the description of it says, ‘Collect supplies during the day and fend off zombies at night. Survive until the rescue arrives to win!’. The text suggests gameplay wherein players would need to exterminate or ward off the zombies for a selected time period until rescue arrives. Notably, this will be different from the existing Zombie mode wherein players need to eradicate the Zombies and also fight off other players to be the last one standing.

The update to PUBG Mobile also adds new weapons. The first weapon added is a Rocket Launcher and was highly anticipated by the players. Another weapon is an explosive crossbow, which would blow up when hitting the target. These two weapons are expected to be exclusive to the new Zombie Mode and will not be available in the normal game. A friendly spectate is also being added to the game. This would let a players friend spectate them while playing. It will also display the player’s information and the number of people watching. The crosshair colour, which is used to aim in the game, can now be changed.

A male voice for the quick chat feature is also being added to PUBG Mobile. This would exist separately with the voice currently available and will be given as an option. For the login screen, a new cosmetic change will be available. An eagle, termed as a companion, will be added to the character’s shoulder which would feature emotes. While not a big change, it will add an ornamental update to the existing game. Unfortunately, it is not known when the above features will be available in the stable update of the mobile game, but their addition to the beta mode insinuates that it may be added in the following weeks.

Apple Arcade: Which Are The Top Games So Far?

The first quarter of 2019 was a substantial period for gaming, and there are still 9 months to go for any further launches and innovations. At GDC 2019, Google released Stadia, a (supposedly) amazing cloud gaming service, yet no release date or pricing for the same was unveiled at the event. Gamers were just getting over the “hardware-independent gaming” hype, when Apple announced its own subscription-based gaming service, known as the Apple Arcade at the Apple Show Time event on March 26, 2019. Additionally, the company also launched the Apple News+, Apple TV+ and the Apple Card.

    https://youtu.be/67umVefSXnY

Apple Arcade is different from Google Stadia in a lot of aspects. For starters, where players need an active high-speed internet connection to play games using Stadia, games can simply be downloaded on the device with Apple Arcade and can be played without internet. Furthermore, it’s not clear whether Stadia will employ a subscription model or a pay-per-game model, but it’s clear as daylight that Apple will allow you to play multiple games on its Arcade store with just a simple “game pass”, which is similar to the payment model that Xbox users adhere to.

A lot of big game developers and publishers are already a part of Apple’s (game) plan. Sega, Konami, Annapurna and Platinum Games are just some of the companies that are backing Apple up on this. To gamers’ pleasant surprise, Hironobu Sakaguchi, the video designer who had a key role in the making of the acclaimed “Final Fantasy” series is also releasing a game called “Fantasian” on Apple’s new platform. The company also promises that new games will keep making their way into Arcade’s library, making sure that the subscribers are never devoid of fresh content.

    https://youtu.be/95FuVib8mcY

Given below are some games that have been confirmed for Apple’s platform. However, note that users won’t be able to play any of these games on Arcade until Apple brings the service to the market. As per the company’s statement, Apple Arcade will go live later during Fall 2019.

    Hot Lava

Hot Lava is an adaptation of the childhood game “The floor is lava”, where children have to keep jumping from one furniture piece to another, pretending that the floor is lava. Except in this game, the floor is literally lava. The game’s trailer depicts it as quite a fun game to play, with fluid parkour moves being used by the character to escape the onslaught of the lava. The game is designed by Klei Entertainment, and by the looks of it, a lot of gamers will have an amazing time with this game.

    Team Sonic Racing

Although Team Sonic was first launched at E3 2018, it is making its way to the list of the very first games that Apple Arcade users will be able to play. One of the most lovable characters in the SEGA universe, Sonic will take on his opponents with the help of his friends. But no more “knuckle” violence, instead, players will be able to choose from a list of 15 playable characters to race on a track with a plethora of vehicle options. With a colourful environment and fast-paced gameplay, Team Sonic has already proven its worth on consoles, and will now charm its way out of Apple gamers.

Check out more about the game on its official website.

    The Pathless

Indie games have been a key part in driving interests of gamers away from genres like Battle Royale and Competitive FPS games. Such a beautiful indie title is The Pathless, which, similarly to Team Sonic, was first revealed three months back for PS4 and PC (Epic games). However, the game has now also been confirmed to arrive on Apple Arcade. The game depicts the mysterious adventure of an archer who befriends an eagle and travels through a vast forest. Noteworthy, the game isn’t officially out yet, so players may have to wait to play it till the game actually releases in 2019.

Check out the game’s website here.

    Sayonara Wild Hearts

Sayonara Wild Hearts looks like a game derived straight out of a music video. The game is tough to describe, but as per the developer, the game is an “euphoric music video dream about being awesome, riding motorcycles, skateboarding, dance battling, shooting lasers, wielding swords, and breaking hearts at 200 mph.”. The game was originally scheduled for Nintendo Switch, but it seems that now the game is coming to Apple Arcade as well. The developer also claims to have almost zero loading times.

As of now, the game is still under development, but the key point of the trailer is to exhibit how fun the game is. With huge robots, cute LEGO characters and LEGO weapons, the game puts a pretty good impression out there. Also, the game may also feature a battle royale mode for its fans.

PUBG Mobile: How Can Players Check Their First Year Game Stats?

Player’s Unknown Battlegrounds or PUBG is not a game anymore. It is an integral part of people’s lives these days. Gamers are hooked like crazy to the game, with good reason too! In February, the game completed one year of its launch, and Tencent has still kept the celebrations ongoing. Players can interact with various in-game items such as cakes and confetti in order to have fun with their squad. Another great update is the feature which allows PUBG players to check their statistics for the entire year.

    How To Check The Statistics?

    https://twitter.com/PUBGMobile_IN/status/1110776983779053568

A tweet from the game’s official Twitter account made the users aware regarding the feature. Noteworthy, third-party websites and applications can do the same for PUBG PC players, but not a lot of applications existed to keep up with the player stats in PUBG Mobile. By the introduction of an in-game button for the same, the developers have taken a neat step towards integrating the statistics option with the game.

For those players who are looking to access the statistics within the game, there’s an event button at the bottom right corner of the home screen of the game. Upon clicking that button, players have to scroll down a bit where they will see a section labelled as PUBG Mobile: First year, which will include a clickable link. After clicking, the in-game browser will take a minute or two to completely render the statistics page, where you can see a wide variety of information.

    Which Statistics Can You Check?

The first year statistics page displays the total number of matches played, total wins, kills, damage dealt and the average distance travelled per match. In addition, the feature will display whether the most played game mode by a player is solo, duo or squads. Furthermore, players can see their favourite weapons and can even check how many times they were knocked out by a pan.

It’s worthy to be noted that only classic matches will be taken into account, so players who regularly play arcade mode may not see their stats updated on the page. Also, players who have been out of the loop may need to update their game in order to see all the changes in the Season 6 PUBG update. Moreover, players can reply to PUBG Mobile’s official tweet with the screenshots of their statistics page to win an Anniversary parachute that will be permanently stored in the player’s inventory.

A few days ago, it was reported that two cities in Gujarat have banned the game and also arrested a few people for playing it in public. Another report claimed a person died because of playing the game for 45 days. It was expected that the six-hour ban was put in place to prevent more incidents like these from happening. Now that the developers have alleged that was not the case, it should pacify most players of the game. The new fixes can be download by starting the game and downloading an in-app update.
