On February 20, Samsung announced the Galaxy Fold, its first foldable smartphone. The device had some groundbreaking features like a foldable display and six cameras in total. Samsung’s 512GB eUFS 3.0 Storage

Samsung’s new eUFS 3.0 storage for mobile devices claims to deliver twice the read and write speeds of the previous generation, which was eUFS 2.1. The company also claims that this new storage solution would make the transfer speeds on mobile devices that were only available on ultra-slim laptops. This would suggest that Samsung is promising SSD level of speeds on its eUFS 3.0 storage. This offers the read speed of up to 2,100MB per second and offers write speed of up to 410MB per second.

Interestingly, Samsung was the first company to produce the first UFS interface with eUFS 2.0 storage in early 2015. This was claimed to be 1.4 times faster than the mobile memory standards at the time, embedded multi-media card 5.1 (eMMC). It is surprising to see the company match up to ultrabook-level of speeds in four years.

Samsung Mobile’s official twitter handle has shared a video confirming that the Galaxy F, as it’s rumored to be called, will be announced alongside the Galaxy S10 series.

The Foldable Galaxy smartphone has been long rumored to have the name Galaxy F. The F might stand for ‘Fold’ here. The device was last shown off at the Samsung Developer Conference in November last year. And while Samsung didn’t show how the device looks, we saw that it bent inwards. This is unlike the Royole FlexPai, which has an outward bend.

The video shows Korean text on the screen and then the words “The Future Unfolds” appear, followed by the date. This doesn’t need much explanation that the choice of words and the animations used, prove that it is indeed about a foldable smartphone. We got a glimpse of how the device is going to look like in a teaser video shared by Samsung a few days ago.

    Samsung Galaxy F Specifications

The Galaxy F, as it’s rumored to be called, will be an alternate flagship device for Samsung. It will reportedly feature two displays. Samsung S10 Launch Billboards Suggest Galaxy Fold Will Launch In February

Samsung is bracing up for the launch of the highly anticipated foldable phone, allegedly called the Galaxy F or Galaxy Fold. Past reports claimed that the revolutionary device will launch in Q1 of 2019 and lately put up billboards by the company in Paris indicate its launch is about to happen.

    Covert Billboards

To pay homage to a decade full of smartphone innovations, Samsung has put up a set of billboards on Paris’s famous landmark, Place de la Concorde. The massive billboards have messages written in the Korean language which when translated to English exhibit interesting details. The billboards read “The future unfolds” and “February twentieth” which is self-explanatory that the foldable device might launch on 20 February.

This is the same time when Samsung is expected to schedule the Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event. Hence, along with the Galaxy Fold, the company might also launch the highly awaited Samsung Galaxy S10 trio.

    Samsung Galaxy F Features

Apparently, the highlighting feature of the Samsung Galaxy Fold will be its 7.3-inch foldable display. In addition to the large foldable display, it will also feature a smaller 4.6 display that will be used to operate the phone when in the folded state.

A latest leak hinted that the Samsung foldable phone will have dual batteries which will each have a capacity of 3,100 mAh. • The Upcoming Samsung Foldable Smartphone Will Have Dual Batteries

The Upcoming Samsung Foldable Smartphone Will Have Dual Batteries

Samsung is expected to launch its first foldable smartphone in Q1 of 2019. The company had previously showcased a working prototype of the device with two screens. Having a smartphone with two displays have growing concerns about its battery backup. A report claims that the upcoming Galaxy foldable smartphone allegedly called the Galaxy F will not only have dual displays but it will also have dual batteries.

    Need For Two Separate Batteries

The claim regarding the Galaxy F aka Galaxy Fold having dual batteries was made by a Dutch website, Galaxyclub. According to the source, the upcoming foldable device from Samsung will have two batteries each with a capacity of 3100 mAh, resulting in a total battery capacity of 6200 mAh.

The display of any smartphone is one of its most power consuming components. Apparently, the dual 4.5-inch and 7.3-inch displays will be the biggest battery consumers on the Galaxy F as well. The source adds that opting for dual batteries on the device is a necessity and not a choice.

The two 3,100 mAh batteries make it easier to accommodate a large battery in a device with a foldable form factor. Similarly, the dual display ZTE Axon M’s battery life was cut in half when both the displays were simultaneously used. Moreover, the factor Galaxy Fold that is capable of displaying three apps at once is another reason for concern.

Samsung Galaxy A50 And Galaxy Fold To Launch In India

Samsung has reshuffled their entire phone lineup and now have built different lineups for different target audiences. The latest news from a Dutch blog, suggests that Samsung now might launch the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy Fold in India. The Galaxy Fold is a foldable smartphone that Samsung wishes to launch in India as well. India is one of the biggest and most promising smartphone markets in the world and Samsung has a huge fan base here. With the launch of the two mid-range smartphones Samsung can solidify it’s hold in the Indian market even more. With competitors like Poco F1 and Xiaomi’s Mi lineup, the road hasn’t been all flowery for Samsung.

    Galaxy A50

If rumours are anything to go by, then the Galaxy A50 will sport a massive 4000 mAh battery and have a 24MP camera. It will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is rumoured to be powered by an Exynos 9610 chipset and 4GB of RAM. It will have two variants which have 64GB and 128GB of storage. It will feature Android Pie out of the box and will most likely feature one of the company’s new Infinity displays.

    Galaxy F ( Fold )

The Galaxy Fold on the other hand will also reportedly be launched in India. Samsung has apparently registered the Galaxy Fold trademark in Turkey. Very little is known of the phone as of now but previous reports suggest that it will be priced between $1,500 and $2,000 when it launches. It will also be launched in European countries as well. If the price is indeed that high, it will definitely have top notch specifications apart from having a unique folding screen.
