    Xiaomi Mi 6X

According to TENAA listing, the Xiaomi Mi 6x will have a full metal unibody design with an iPhone X style dual camera setup. Compared to its predecessor the Xiaomi Mi 5X, the Mi 6X has undergone a major design overhaul. The smartphone now has a taller display with narrow bezels. And also, considering the price of the Xiaomi Mi A1, the Xiaomi Mi A2 might be priced around Rs 15,000 price bracket.

OnePlus 6 Teaser Reveals Its Similarities With The OnePlus 5T

Continuing the trend of teasing different aspects of a smartphone before the launch, OnePlus has posted an interesting image on Twitter. The OnePlus 6 is expected to launch in the coming weeks and a lot of specifications and design elements have already leaked. The image posted by OnePlus reveals its new flagship smartphone won’t be too different in size from the OnePlus 5T.

Just like the company did before the OnePlus 5T launch, the OnePlus 6 is kept underneath the OnePlus 5T signifying the similarity in size of both the phones. This time around, the OnePlus 6 is expected to have even more screen real estate than the OnePlus 5T thanks to a notch on top. Another interesting bit that this image reveals is the placement of hardware buttons on the OnePlus 6. Unlike the OnePlus 5T and previous OnePlus smartphones, the Alert Slider appears to be placed on the right-hand side of the 6. OnePlus has already teased added functionalities of the Alter Slider and this change in placement surely confirms that.

There have been rumours that the 6 will have an all-glass design and even feature wireless charging. Although that seems like a fair bet, OnePlus, as of now, has not hinted towards that feature or build quality.
    OnePlus 6

This year, the company will launch the OnePlus 6 in three different variants. Two variants will be similar to the OnePlus 5T with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. These models will be priced between Rs 33,999- 36,999 and Rs 38,999-42,999, respectively. There will also be a special edition called the OnePlus 6 Premium, which will have 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. This variant might be priced between Rs 44,999- 48,999.

  • HTC U12+ Could Cost Up to 799 Euros

HTC U12+ Could Cost Up to 799 Euros

HTC introduced the dual camera setup way back in 2012 with the HTC Evo 3D. Later on, the company launched the HTC M8 Eye, in 2014 with a dual camera setup albeit, a different implementation. However, HTC has since then shied away from using a dual-camera setup on its line of flagship smartphones even though companies like Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, LG etc have adopted the new trend of dual-camera setups. In early-2018, HTC did launch the HTC Desire 12+ with a dual-camera setup but, it was a budget smartphone with not a lot of global appeal. Now, it appears that HTC is ready to introduce a dual-camera setup on its flagship lineup with the HTC U12+, as suggested by a new leak. The HTC U12+ could cost 799 Euros in the Europian market for the 128GB storage variant which might launch sometime in May month of May.

    HTC One M8 Eye
    HTC U12+ Specs

The HTC U12+ might have an all-glass build similar to the HTC U11+. The smartphone might have wireless charging support and IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. According to leak, the smartphone will pose a quad-camera setup. The device will have a 12MP and a 16MP primary camera combination. Similarly, the smartphone will have a dual 8MP sensors for the front-facing camera. Using these cameras, the device might be able to produce photos with bokeh effect by softening the background.

    HTC U12+

The HTC U12+ might have a 5.99 inch IPS LCD display with 2960 x 1440 px resolution QHD+ panel. The smartphone might have a conventional display with bezels, instead of a notch. Under the hood, the device will have the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octa-core chipset. The base variant might carry-in 6GB RAM and 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone might have a 3420 mAh Li-ion battery running on Android 8 Oreo OS.

  • Exclusive : Xiaomi To Drop Price Of Mi MIX 2 To Rs. 24999

Exclusive : Xiaomi To Drop Price Of Mi MIX 2 To Rs. 24999

Xiaomi launched the Mi MIX 2 in India on the October 10th 2017 for a price of Rs 35999. After more than six months of its official launch, Xiaomi is planning a drastic price drop for the Mi MIX 2. Sources close and exclusive to iGyaan have reported that Xiaomi is planning to slash the price of the Mi MIX 2 to Rs 24999.

Xiaomi recently launched the Mi MIX 2s in China and just like the Mi MIX 2, the new Mi MIX 2s could also make its way to the Indian market. This could be one of the main reasons why Xiaomi is willing to bring the price of the Mi MIX 2 down in India. In early-May, OnePlus will launch its new flagship device, the OnePlus 6 at a price very similar to the current price of the Mi MIX 2 (around Rs 34000). With the OnePlus 6 being a modern flagship with better specifications, Xiaomi would want to avoid clashing with it in a price sensitive market like India.

    Mi MIX 2s

So far, there has been no communication from the company about a possible Mi MIX 2s launch in India. This means that this decision could be a pre-emptive one with the OnePlus 6 launch in consideration. However, for now, the reason for the price drop cannot be confirmed but, only speculated.

At the time of the launch, the Mi MIX 2 was up against the likes of the OnePlus 5 and Nokia 8, both of which had an inferior design and build quality. Over the months since its launch, companies like OnePlus and Honor launched the OnePlus 5T and Honor View 10, respectively with a new design and similar specifications and a cheaper price tag. This meant the Mi MIX 2 had competition in terms of design, specifications and the price as well.

Gesture Support On MIX 2 After MIUI 9.5 Update

The design and build quality of the MIX 2 was highly appreciated at the time of its launch. The tri bezel-less design with a thicker chin meant that Xiaomi could offer a great screen-to-body ratio as well. In our review of the Mi MIX 2, we found the camera performance of the smartphone to be lacking and that was about it. As a whole, the Mi MIX 2 was and is a great phone and at a price of Rs 24999, it could be a steal.

    Stay tuned for more updates.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo Launched In India For Rs 16,990

Samsung has officially launched Galaxy J7 Duo in India for a price of Rs 16,990. The smartphone will be available from the 12th of April in Black and Gold colours via offline retail stores. Considering the price tag, the smartphone will compete against the Nokia 6 2018, which retails in India for Rs 16999.

    Galaxy J7 Duo

    Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo Specs

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo has a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 px resolution. The smartphone has a plastic build with user replaceable back panel, which reveals a 3000 mAh battery. The device is powered by the Exynos 7 series Octa-core chipset with 4GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB using micro SD card on a dedicated micro SD card slot.

The smartphone has a dual camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor, with both boasting an f/1.9 aperture. The device has an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/1.9 aperture with 1080p video recording capability. The main camera unit can capture portrait photos which soften the background by keeping the subject in focus. The device runs on Samsung’s custom Experience UI based on Android 8 Oreo. The device has a forward facing fingerprint sensor, mounted on the home button.

At a cost of Rs 16,990, the Galaxy J7 Duo has an archaic 16:9 aspect ratio and a 720P display. The likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Honor 7X have an 18:9 aspect ratio and 2160 x 1080 px resolution. The presence of a dual-camera and the perception attached to the Samsung brand might help the J7 Duo on the market. It is also worth noting that the Galaxy J7 Duo will be much easier to buy and will be more accessible than the likes of Redmi Note 5 Pro.

  • Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo Listed On Samsung India’s Website

Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo Listed On Samsung India’s Website

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo is an upcoming mid-tier Samsung smartphone with dual camera setup. The smartphone was previously spotted on different benchmarking platforms is now officially listed on Samsung India website. The device has a typical Samsung type styling with a plastic build. According to the wallpaper, the smartphone might launch in India on the 23rd of April.

    Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo Specs

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo has a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 px HD resolution. Under the hood, the device has an unknown Octa-core chipset with 1.6GHz (might be the Exynos 7870). The smartphone has 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage. The dual camera setup is one of the fascinating facts about this device. The phone has a 13MP primary sensor with a f/1.9 aperture and a secondary 5MP sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. This camera setup might offer bokeh effect with 1080p video recording capability. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo has an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/1.9 aperture with an LED flash. According to a previous leak, the cameras might be powered by AI, to offer better edge detection and better low light photography.Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo

The smartphone has dual SIM card slot, were the secondary slot can take micro SD cards up to 256GB. On the connectivity front, the device supports latest Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, and 4G LTE with VoLte. The phone runs on Android 8 Oreo, backed by a 3000 mAh sealed battery with a micro USB port for charging and data syncing. Like most of the mid-tier smartphones, the device misses out on important sensors such as the gyroscope and ambient light sensor. However, the phone does have a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.

If this smartphone is launched under Rs 15,000 mark, then this smartphone can compete against the devices like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Honor 7x, and the Moto G5s Plus. Though it misses out on features like an 18:9 aspect ratio display, having a dual camera with an f/1.9 aperture with an AMOLED screen will make this device strong against the competition.

  • Mark Zuckerberg Testified For 5 Hours And Won It For Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg Testified For 5 Hours And Won It For Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg didn’t reveal the hotel he stayed in during the testimony while Facebook users share their travel plans to everyone. This pretty much sums up the entire deposition of the Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg. The CEO of the largest social media company, Zuckerberg sat in front of the Congressmen and tried to clarify the role of Facebook in the whole Cambridge Analytica data breach scandal. Leading up to the testimony, it was reported that Facebook had arranged training with DC Consultants for Mark Zuckerberg.

The testimony, or more so the idea of putting Mark Zuckerberg through his paces, even though exciting for its mere existence, was anything but. All the Senators present at the testimony were inept of the working of social media and the business model of Facebook. And that clearly showed in the five-hour long testimony which was a huge win for Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg. The testimony meant that Facebook was prepared to go under the cosh to prove its innocence or remorse, and it did so and came out pretty much unscathed.

Mark Zuckerberg clearly knew what was to be done as he dodged any questions that could have had further implications. He repeated a lot of the answers, most of them coming from his own Facebook post from a few weeks ago. That goes on to prove how surfaced the questions were from the Senators. It is worth noting that every Senator had only five minutes with Zuckerberg, which meant that very few asked tough questions and even fewer had the opportunity to follow that up with another query.

After the testimony, important questions like did Facebook cover up the Cambridge Analytica scandal? Or decide against adding privacy protections earlier to protect its developer platform? Another rising question is whether it is a breach of trust on Facebook’s part to delete Zuckerberg’s Facebook messages out of recipients’ inboxes? Unfortunately, nobody even began to scratch the surface that could have further led to answers to these questions. Whether Zuckerberg would have complied and answered to those questions is a different kettle of fish altogether.

Facebook’s homework for this testimony also shone through during the questioning. The most common questions asked Zuckerberg were a few things that Facebook had taken care of well in advance. For example, Mark  Zuckerberg was asked about Facebook’s ineptness during the 2016 Election campaign. On 9th of April, Facebook had announced that it had deleted the accounts of Russian GRU intelligence operatives in June 2016.

Another question that was asked, was “Is Facebook Sorry?” To which Zuckerberg replied:

We didn’t take a broad enough view of what our responsibility is and that was a huge mistake. That was my mistake.

The five-hour long testimony ended with Zuckerberg unmoved and calm while many viewers felt let down by the lack of knowledge behind the questions directed at him. The testimony might have left a lot of questions unanswered but, it appears to be a win for Facebook. The social media giant has pretty much laid the facts in front of the world. To prove that the testimony was a success for Facebook, investors rewarded Facebook with a 4.5% share price boost.

Despacito YouTube Video Deleted By Hackers

Update: The video has been recovered by YouTube and is now live on the video streaming platform.

Luis Fonsi’s song, Despacito became the most-watched video ever on YouTube. Now, after falling victim to a cybercrime, the official video of Despacito has been deleted from YouTube while several accounts of other artists have also been compromised.

At first, the thumbnail for the video was altered. The original image was replaced with a group of masked men holding guns and the description was changed by a group of hackers calling themselves Prosox and Kuro’ish. The hackers also wrote “Free Palestine” in the description of many videos. The image of the masked gang members is from the Netflix show, Casa de Papel.

Apart from Luis Fonsi (creator of Despacito), several other artists’ Vevo accounts including DJ Snake, Shakira, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and more have been hacked.

Almost all the videos of these artists are available on YouTube as of now. However, the titles, descriptions and thumbnails of many famous videos have been compromised. It is worth noting that all these videos were uploaded to the Vevo accounts of these artists. There is no clarity about the degree of access these hackers have gained. Whether these hackers have gained access to individual accounts or if there was a wider attack on Vevo accounts.
