Leaks Show Official Cases Arriving With The Galaxy S10 Series Of Devices

Samsung is all set to launch its next generation of flagship smartphones on February 20 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event. The upcoming smartphones are of significant importance for the company. As they will mark the tenth year anniversary of Galaxy S smartphones which were first launched in the year 2010. Details about the upcoming Galaxy S10 lineup have leaked so much so that Samsung only needs to confirm their price and availability. Fresh leaks state that alongside the flagship smartphones, Samsung will also unveil several cases.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Cases

The Galaxy S10 lineup of accessories includes a variety of cases. These include a flip cover that Samsung releases with its flagship smartphones every year and will have the functionality to view important information like the time and notifications. The company is also expected to release silicone cases for the devices that will be available in different colours. The images also reveal some unusual cases for the devices. This includes a case for the S10e that is riddled with holes. The case does not provide any functionality and will just be used as a cosmetic accessory for the device.

One notable accessory that Samsung will launch is the LED Cover for the Galaxy S10 lineup. This unconventional case will feature LED lights on the back which light up for notifications and can be used to form patterns or to set up widgets like a clock. Samsung is expected to call this an ‘Emotional LED Lighting’ which suggests that the LED might glow in different colours depending on the time of day or mood of the user. Reports suggest that the S10 series will support reverse wireless charging, so the case may take advantage of the feature to draw power. The cases are expected to debut alongside at the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 20 in San Fransisco. The price of the cases are currently unavailable and will be made public once Samsung officially announces them.

LG G5’s ‘Magic Slot’ Modules: Here’s What You Need to Know

LG stated a while ago that its upcoming G5 flagship smartphone will come with market distruptive features. For LG to stay true to that promise, it looks like it won’t just rely on the G5 alone but on what the G5 can do with a little help from its friends. The LG G5 is said to launch with a mini-ecosystem of hardware add-ons and accessories collectively known as “G5 and Friends.” Reports claim that these could be a VR camera, a smartphone-controlled robot and, at least, two modular add-ons – for photography and audio – that will fit into the previously rumoured modular design of the G5 that has a removable bottom.

According to popular leakster Evan Blass, one of LG G5’s photography add-ons will include an 1100mAh battery and physical buttons for various camera functions — zoom, flash, shutter release, etc. A recent image of the module shows a large bump on the bottom back of the G5. It could also be that the modules will fit inside the G5 to its modular nature, if rumours are true. LG also recently revealed that the G5 will have an ‘Always On’ mode.

The audio add-on is being made in partnership with Bang & Olufsen, and adds a DAC (digital to analog converter) to the G5 to improve its sounds quality. Blass claims that the audio module is called LG Hi-Fi Plus, while the camera add-on is called LG Cam Plus. Additionally, it is also reported that LG will be launching a spherical camera for capturing 360-degree video and stills, called the LG 360 VR. There’s also a smartphone-controlled robot named the Rolling Bot (along the same lines as Sphero’s BB-8 toy).

We’re just a few days away from the MWC 2016 in Barcelona, where LG wlll unveil the G5. The tag line LG is going for is “Play Begins”, which is what LG plans on giving with the G5, a lot to play with.

Logitech launches washable keyboard K310, will come to India Next Month Rs 2499/-

Logitech in the US yesterday launched the washable keyboard K310, but failed to give information on the global counterparts. Logitech India has confirmed that the product will be launched in the coming Month or two and will be priced slightly upwards from the US $ 39.99 price , at Rs. 2499.

The keyboard can be submerged in 11 inches of water, and also since this is a wired keyboard, the wire and USB and not water resistant.

The headphones share several distinguishing features:

* The three on-ear/over-ear models are framed by a lightweight sand-blasted steel outer band that comes in two sizes so users can swap for the correct fit, while a leather inner band rests on the wearer’s head for comfort. Steel hinges accentuate the rugged feel of the headphone frame, which does not include plastic. Leather ear pads float in an enclosed steel frame, with only soft leather touching the listener’s ears. The detachable ear pads are connected by industrial-strength magnets to remove for cleaning or replacement. The headphones include 40mm drivers and have detachable cables. The headphones fold flat to slip easily into a briefcase or bag, a storage feature that will appeal to travelers. Each model includes a premium carrying case.

* Both in-ear styles were designed for passive noise cancellation so users clearly hear music and other audio content at lower volume levels – healthier for the ears. Multiple earphone sleeve options allow users to find the right fit while blocking exterior noise from disturbing the clarity of the audio content. Each model includes a three-button Apple-specified remote to make and receive phone calls while controlling volume and playback features.

Details of the five headphone models include:

* The in-ear model NI ($99.95) features 9mm drivers to provide a wide-dynamic range and high sound-pressure levels. This ultralight model has a rectangular black housing – shaped like the back of an iPhone – and a three-button remote with a built-in microphone for calls. Three sizes of silicone sleeves offer a comfortable fit and noise isolation.

* The in-ear model AE ($149.95) acoustically enhanced headphones isolate noise and are enclosed by a silver-toned aluminum casing for superior acoustic dampening to provide true low-frequency reproduction. The headphones include premium 9mm drivers optimized to work with the metal housing to deliver extended bass response. A three-button remote with a built-in microphone is included, while foam sleeves are offered along with three sizes of silicone sleeves.

* The on-ear model CL ($199) are defined by precision with metal hinges, a sand-blasted metal finish and rectangular ear cups that reflect the iPhone’s iconic design. The 40mm drivers are uniquely baffled to create an air flow that extends the low frequencies – bass – better than other models in their class. The detachable cables feature highly finished metal connectors, while the cables are made of a tightly woven fabric to enhance feel as well as durability and flexibility.

* The over-ear model BT ($249) Bluetooth headphones include an integrated microphone so users don’t have to remove them for a call. Built-in playback buttons sit along the side of one ear cup for easy music controls. These high-performance wireless headphones are charged via the included USB cable, but also work in passive mode. That means if the battery – which lasts 12 hours – is dead, users can attach the fabric-covered headphone cable for wired playback from an iPhone, iPod or iPad. Competitive Bluetooth headphones do not offer passive playback.

* The over-ear model NC ($299, available late summer) noise-cancelling headphones include HARMAN’s proprietary digital active noise-cancelling technology the company developed for acoustic installations in premium automobiles. Slow-retention foam is used in the ear pads to create a comfortable fit that also improves passive noise cancellation by creating an acoustic seal. The headphones have a 30-hour battery life and are recharged via the included USB cable. Unlike competing noise-cancelling headphones, the Harman Kardon headphones continue to play when the battery runs dry. The headphones come with a fabric-covered detachable cable and a premium case.

Intel Launches their new Range of Ivy Bridge Core Processors along with new Ultrabooks in India

Intel on Tuesday launched a whole new range of Ultrabooks, along with their new 3rd Gen Core Processors. The new range of products are designed on their 22nm platform, with added benefits of better battery life, more flexible designs and light mobile ultrabooks. The new inbuilt features will offer more security and theft protection by allowing new services like remote locking.

Intel said devices such as Ultrabooks, powered by Ivy Bridge, would give consumers ability to play games, upload videos to the Internet and movies without purchasing expensive, separate graphics card.

Though Intel has kept the cost of Ivy Bridge similar to that of Sandy Bridge, products such as Ultrabooks would remain as a niche product for at least next 12 months. Intel was also keen to mention that the staring SKU’s of the new ultrabooks would cost upwards of Rupees 50,000. But, the company is working closely with OEM manufacturers to bring pricing to the older time Centrino levels.
