Live Images Of Samsung Galaxy S10+ And Galaxy S10e Leak

Korean electronics giants, Samsung will soon launch its first foldable phone which is allegedly called the Galaxy Fold and 2019 flagship lineup which carries the Galaxy S10 branding. The anticipated smartphones are set to launch at the Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event which is scheduled for 20 February in San Francisco. As the unveiling event closes by, more and more leaks of the devices seem to pop online. Live pictures of the Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e posted online reaffirm that the devices will have previously claimed features.

Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e Build

The images of the Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10 were shared online and they surely look genuine. The elder Galaxy S10+ has a large edge-to-edge display with an Infinity-O notch and an under display fingerprint sensor. The handset has dual front-facing cameras which are housed in the Infinity notch. The rear of the Galaxy S10+ seems to be made out of black ceramic which resides the company branding and triple rear camera setup. The rectangular rear camera module of the smartphone also houses an LED flash and a heart rate monitor (HRM).

The second image set is of the Galaxy S10e which is the youngest member of the Galaxy S10 lineup. It has a similar design to the Galaxy S10+ with an edge-to-edge display that tapers towards the sides and an Infinity-O notch. However, the circular notch in the display only has a single selfie camera, unlike its elder sibling. The leaked image of the Galaxy S10e exhibits a white coloured ceramic back panel which has a similar setup as the S10+. It also has a triple rear camera set up along with an LED flash and heart rate monitor.

  • Samsung Galaxy S10 Will Support Reverse Wireless Charging, WiFi 6

Samsung Galaxy S10 Will Support Reverse Wireless Charging, WiFi 6

Samsung is all set to release the Galaxy S10 series this month. There have been a number of leaks surrounding the devices and we pretty much know everything about the devices now. But a new leak has emerged courtesy the Federal Communications Commission or the FCC. The recent documents leak give an insight to an interesting feature of the device. The Samsung Galaxy S10 series is all set to get reverse wireless charging support. The phones are also going to be the first ones to arrive with WiFi 6 compatibility.

XDA Developers first caught eye of these images on FCC’s website. Reverse wireless charging is not a new feature to have in a smartphone. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro was the first commercially available device to have this feature. The difference between both of them is that Samsung’s technology is faster.

    What Is Reverse Wireless Charging?

Huawei first launched the reverse wireless charging technology with the Mate 20 Pro. It allows the phones that support wireless charging to charge another wireless charging compatible phone. It is done through touching the backs of both phones together. According to tests done by GSMArena, the reverse wireless charging in the Mate 20 Pro has an output less than 5W. The Galaxy S10 is 9W wireless charging compatible. This should mean faster reverse wireless charging speeds.

But reverse wireless charging requires two phone to be lined up perfectly so it may become awkward to use. One more issue is the battery size of the Galaxy S10 series. Barring the S10 Plus with the rumored 4000mAh, the meager 3300 mAh and 3000 mAh battery in the S10 and the S10e respectively may drain the battery faster.

Samsung is also adding a WiFi 6 compatible modem inside the Galaxy S10 series. This theoretically means faster WiFi speeds on compatible routers. There are not many routers compatible with this tech yet, so this may not be useful for a lot of people. The Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10e are launching on February 20.

First leaked by Winfuture, these render tell us a lot about the device, which is also going to launch on February 20. There also won’t be Fingerprint under the display, according to known leaker Roland Quandt.

    Galaxy S10e Specifications

The Galaxy S10e will be a lot to the Galaxy S10 series as the iPhone XR was to the iPhone XS and XS Max. The phone won’t have the signature edge design of the Galaxy S series and will have Fingerprint sensor integrated in the power button. The smaller footprint means a smaller display, which fortunately will be Super AMOLED, 5.8 inch one. The phone will have dual camera setup at the back as opposed to the S10 and the S10+ which will have triple cameras. The cameras will be a pair of 12MP sensors, One main and One may be Telephoto. The front camera is embedded into the punch-hole style Infinity-O display.

The phone will be a standard 2019 phone otherwise. An Exynos 9820 or Snapdragon 855 depending on the region. 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will be the only option available. Some reports also say that the phone will be available in five colours. Three of which are Black, Green and White.

  • Samsung Galaxy S10 To Get Celeb Alarm Feature

Samsung Galaxy S10 To Get Celeb Alarm Feature

What if you could wake up by the sound of your favourite celebrity? It may be a dream come true for most people. Looks like Samsung is all set to make this wish come true for the buyers of their next device, the Galaxy S10. Samsung filed for patents on January 29 which show a feature named ‘Celeb Alarm’ which had the description as a ‘software for use in providing alarm services with voices of entertainers; downloadable ring tones and graphics for mobile phones.’

The feature seems like a novelty and may actually prove to be so; much like most of Samsung flagship’s from yesteryears. The company has tried to use a lot of gimmick to make their software stand out from the crowd, like the ugly, knockoff version of Animoji. Pulling the description of this feature apart, it is time to remember when Amazon Alexa offered the same feature.

    Whose Voices Will It Have?

Which celebrity will grace the Galaxy S10’s Alarm clock is not yet known. But if past is any indication, there could be some big names in there. Considering Samsung’s reputation, a good list of movie stars may lend their voices to it. When Alexa launched this feature in the US, it had names like Alec Baldwin and Missy Elliot who did the talking for it.

Samsung has had tie ups with popular celebrities before, so it wouldn’t be the biggest deal ever. But there is no denying the fact that this feature is still a gimmick and wouldn’t be the sole reason to buy the device.

  • Samsung Galaxy S10 Might Have A Secondary Display

Samsung Galaxy S10 Might Have A Secondary Display

Samsung’s Galaxy series of phones are the most anticipated high end smartphones along with Huawei, iPhones and Oneplus phones. So it does not come as a surprise that everyone has focused their attention on the new Galaxy S10 series of phones.

According to a Dutch media source, Samsung had filed a new patent which includes the provision for a tiny second display. This isn’t the average display at the back of the phone, but a display overlay over the front camera. Most phones with punch hole cameras have to leave the lens part blackened out. The new patent wishes to put a screen on top of it. This is so that it can display relevant icons such as an animation of a heart when performing biometrics, a red outline if the camera is not ready, a green outline when it is and so on.  The transparent screen will hide various optical components which work with the help of light. These include proximity sensors, lighting sensors and the front camera. This will enable the phone to have a cleaner design and will be a much better experience for the users.

    Details

The second screen area will supposedly have a lower resolution than the main screen. The two display areas will work independently of each other. The display will also be able to show colours and the transparency of the small display will vary.

Samsung has spoken about correcting the image displayed on the second screen. This can be done using a technology they are calling ‘light path conversion device’. It is integrated as an additional display layer, in a grid pattern. The smartphone is also said to be able to detect if the area is being used for the camera or biometrics. We will have to wait and see if these new patents are in any way incorporated into new phones. Specially the the soon-to-be-launched galaxy S10 but it seems highly unlikely since many previous leaks suggest the phone to have a punch hole camera like any other phone.

  • Galaxy S10 Will Have Samsung Neuro Game Booster Technology

Galaxy S10 Will Have Samsung Neuro Game Booster Technology

Korean smartphone manufacturer, Samsung is soon expected to launch the Galaxy S10 series of smartphones. The company has announced that the Galaxy S10 lineup along with the foldable phone allegedly called the Galaxy F will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event. As the smartphones are nearing their launch date, more of their features tend to surface online. The company filed a patent with EUIPO (European Intellectual Property Office) on 21 January 2019 that concerns the ‘Neuro Game Booster Technology’ on future Samsung smartphones. Apparently, the upcoming flagship smartphone from the company is the Galaxy S10 which is most likely to have this feature.

What is  Neuro Game Booster Technology?

The patent clearly mentions that this technology is mainly associated with gaming and smartphones. Additionally, it also talks about AI (Artificial Intelligence). Combining all the points from the patent suggest that Samsung is developing software that will enhance mobile gaming with the help of AI algorithms.

What is The Need Of  Neuro Game Booster Technology?

Although modern smartphones are loaded with powerful processors massive amounts of RAM, use of such software can provide an even smooth and joyful gaming experience. The technology will optimise the allocation of resources to various applications. While running heavy games it would either stop other processes or provide them with limited resources. As most of the resources would be used to run the onscreen game itself.

  • Disappointing Geekbench Score For Samsung S10+

Disappointing Geekbench Score For Samsung S10+

The most highly anticipated phones from Samsung’s stable have always been their Galaxy S series. This year, they will have three or four variants of the phone. There will be an affordable Lite version as well. Just a few days back, it was revealed that the Galaxy S10 will have 6GB RAM and Android 9 OS out of the box. It was also seen on the Geekbench score that the phone would be powered by an Exynos 9820 SoC.

Now new scores have surfaced. It seems like two of the Samsung’s flagship phone variants will be powered by Snapdragon 855 as well. With Samsung phones, it is often observed that the Exynos processors score considerably lesser than the phones powered by Snapdragon’s latest SoCs. The S10+ proves that point yet again.

    Source – nashvillechatter
    Geekbench Scores

The two variants of the S10+ have one that features an Exynos 9820 and Snapdragon 855. The one with the Snapdragon scores 3413 on Single Core and 10256 on Multi Core. On the other hand, the S10+ with the Exynos processor scores 3248 on Single Core and a meagre 7999 on Multi Core. It is also noteworthy that this score is even lower than the non- plus version. That version scored a decent 4382 on Single Core and 9570 on Multi Core. This version also features the same Exynos processor.

    Rumours

Other rumours that have made headlines regarding the phone include a punch hole camera at the front, better battery among other things. A tenyearchallenge teaser by Samsung was recently shared by a popular tipster on a social networking website. This might give us indication of what else is to come from Samsung. The teaser showcases two camera styles. One having a vertical four camera layout and another with three cameras at the back. The teaser also shows a floating phone but we are not sure if the company just wants to show that it is waterproof, or the phone will actually float!

The launch of the Samsung S10, S10 Lite and S10+ are scheduled for February 20 and we will just have to wait and see how the phone performs and how it is priced to get a better idea of it’s value for money.
