  • Moto G6 Plus Running On Snapdragon 660 With 6GB RAM Leaked In Live Images

Moto G6 Plus Running On Snapdragon 660 With 6GB RAM Leaked In Live Images

Lenovo-owned Motorola has had a lot of success in countries like India with its budget smartphone C, E and G series. Last month, the company launched the sixth generation of its highly successful Moto G series of smartphones. The Moto G6 Play, G6 and G6 Plus were launched in Sao Paulo, Brazil and are expected to launch in India early June. A new upgraded variant of the most premium of the three devices, the Moto G6 Plus, has now been leaked ahead of its India launch on 4th June.

An image, allegedly of the Moto G6 Plus shows the smartphones running on the Snapdragon 660 chipset with 6GB of RAM. This could be a new variant that the company will launch in India in order to compete with the likes of Redmi Note 5 Pro and Huawei P20 Lite. Both the Note 5 Pro and P20 Lite have had a successful last start to their stints in the Indian market and Motorola would want to go toe-to-toe in the budget segment. The Moto G6 Plus could be its answer to the two smartphones.

    P20 Lite

However, it is worth noting that the image clicked of the Moto G6 Plus is running the AIDA 64 program. This program recognises Snapdragon 630 as ‘sdm660’ which means that this could very well be the regular Moto G6 Plus running on Snapdragon 630 chipset with 6GB of RAM. Popular budget smartphones in India have a 6GB RAM variant and it makes sense that Motorola also launches a 6GB RAM variant of the G6 Plus in India. Since this is a leaked image, we cannot confirm the authenticity of the image by any means.

The Moto G6 Plus has a 5.99 inch IPS LCD display with a 2160 x 1080 px resolution. To the back of the smartphone is a primary 12MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture along with a 5MP secondary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The dual-camera setup can record 4K videos at 30fps which even the Redmi Note 5 Pro cannot do. The front of the smartphone houses an 8MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash.

The Moto G6 series is set to launch in India on the 4th of June. The G6 Plus will be the priciest of the three and it’ll be interesting to see if Motorola indeed launches a Moto G6 Plus running on the Snapdragon 660 chipset.

  • Moto Z3 Play To Launch On June 6th

Moto Z3 Play To Launch On June 6th

Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its first modular smartphone, the Moto Z in June 2016. The first gen Moto Z Play, a more affordable modular smartphone was launched in August 2016. The company’s upcoming Moto Z3 Play has been subject to a lot of leaks over the past few weeks and it appears that the device is ready for a launch. Motorola has started sending out press invites for a June 6th launch event in Brazil.

While the teaser doesn’t give away any details about the device, it isn’t rocket science to predict what smartphone will launch. The company has already launched its Moto E5 and G6 series of smartphones. So far in 2018, the company has not launched an iteration of its highly popular Moto Z series. The Moto Z3 Play is the first in line to launch, with a flagship Moto Z device expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Must Read: Moto G6 To Launch In India On June 4th

The detailed specifications of the Moto Z3 Play were recently leaked, leaving very little to the consumer’s imagination. The Z3 Play will have a 6 inch AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass on top.

Under the hood, the device will run on the Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. The storage will be expandable via a microSD card, most probably up to 256GB. The fingerprint sensor will move to the right-hand side of the smartphone since the bezels will be too thin for a front-facing fingerprint sensor. This placement will be similar to devices like the Nextbit Robin or older Sony smartphones.

Powering the Z3 Play will be a 3000 mAh battery which might not be sufficient for a 6 inch AMOLED panel with FullHD+ resolution. However, the smartphone will come bundled with a Moto Mod that will further extend the battery life. Out of the box, the Moto Z3 Play will run a stock-ish version of Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Moto Z3 Play will have a dual-camera setup on the back consisting of a 12MP primary sensor. The details about the secondary sensor are unknown as of now. To the front will be an 8MP camera.

The event in Brazil could also see the launch of new Moto Mods. These Moto Mods will be compatible with every Moto Z device launched so far since all of these devices have the same dimensions.

  • Xiaomi Redmi 6 With A Notch Leaked In Live Images

Xiaomi Redmi 6 With A Notch Leaked In Live Images

The Apple iPhone X’s design appears to have become the template for Xiaomi smartphones in 2018. The Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi MIX 2s and the Redmi S2, all have a vertically placed dual-camera setup that looks uncannily similar to the iPhone X. The Mi 8 is also expected to have a vertically placed dual-camera setup. New images leaked of another Xiaomi smartphone, allegedly, the Redmi 6, also reveal a similar dual-camera setup. Oh, there is also a notch on the display.

The leaked images reveal that the Redmi 6 will have a notch very similar to the Huawei P20 Pro. This design differs from the Mi 8, which is expected to have a bigger notch, similar to the iPhone X. One thing that sticks out like a sore thumb in the images is the white colour of the bezels. The notch and the bezels are white in colour, which means they are more prominent than black coloured bezels. Not many people would be pleased with this colour combination.

A white coloured notch also means that users don’t have an option to hide it via software. Devices like the OnePlus 6, P20 Pro, LG G7 ThinQ, all have an option to hide the notch because it is black in colour. With the Redmi 6, that probably won’t be an option. The vertically placed dual-camera setup is reminiscent of previous 2018 Xiaomi devices.

A listing on TENNA revealed a few details about the Xiaomi Redmi 6. A device with the model number M1804C3DE was certified with a 5.45 inch screen. The smartphone will be powered by a 3000 mAh battery which confirms that this is not a Redmi Note device. Redmi Note smartphones tend to have bigger batteries. The dimensions of the smartphone listed are 147.46 x 71.49 x 8.3 mm which is smaller than the Redmi 5.

The smartphone looks like another budget Redmi offering. The design is peculiar and we hope Xiaomi gets rid of the while coloured bezels before the device is launched.

  • Lenovo Z5’s Battery Will Last 45 Days On Standby

Lenovo Z5’s Battery Will Last 45 Days On Standby

The Lenovo Z5 is turning out to be an impressive device so far. The smartphone is set for a launch on June 14th in China. Lenovo’s Vice President Chang Cheng has been teasing all the features of the soon to be launched device on his Weibo page. We already know a few aspects of the smartphone and the VP of Lenovo has now shared some information about the battery performance of the Z5.

According to an image posted on Weibo, the Lenovo Z5’s battery will last up to 45 days on standby. The post does not share any information about the capacity of the battery but, it will certainly be a massive one. It is also worth noting that 45 days worth of standby time cannot be achieved by just a bigger battery. There would be some software optimisation with the help of AI and machine learning.

The company has already teased that the Lenovo Z5 could be the first smartphone to offer a 95% screen-to-body ratio. For context, the iPhone X as an 81.1% screen-to-body ratio. Lenovo VP Chang Cheng has been active on his Weibo account recently, teasing different aspects of the soon to be launched Android smartphone.

In another post, Chang claims that the Lenovo Z5 will have a massive 4TB onboard storage. This is an extremely bold claim and we will wait before we jump the gun here. This could very well be a vague reference to cloud storage that Lenovo will provide with the Z5. In his post, he claims that this was possible thanks to “particle technology” and this amount of storage can hold 2000 HD movies, 150,000 lossless music files, and 1 million photos.

  • Meizu 6T With Dual Cameras, 18:9 Aspect Ratio To Launch On May 29th

Meizu 6T With Dual Cameras, 18:9 Aspect Ratio To Launch On May 29th

Founded in 2003, Meizu is one of the many smartphone brands to branch out of China in recent years. The company has a few interesting smartphones in its portfolio including the Meizu Note 8 which looks uncannily similar to a certain Galaxy Note8. Apart from lookalikes, the company has its own distinguished smartphones as well, one of them will be the Meizu 6T, scheduled to launch on May 29th in China.

The company set the date for the unveiling of its new budget smartphone without giving much away about the device. However, the Meizu M811Q that recently got certified by TENNA is, in all certainty, the Meizu 6T. The smartphone will be China-exclusive and probably won’t make its way to other countries like India.

The Meizu 6T will have a 5.7 inch display with a 1440 x 720 px resolution and a 2.5D curved glass on top. The 18:9 aspect ratio and HD+ resolution has become very common among budget smartphones these days.

Under the hood, the 6T will run on a 1.5GHzocta-core processor. This processor will be paired with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB storage, respectively. The storage will be expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. Whether the 6T will have a separate microSD card slot is yet to be seen. The fingerprint sensor lies on the back of the device just below the camera module.

Powering the Meizu 6T is a 3230mAh battery which will charge via a micro USB slot. Out of the box, the smartphone will run Android 7 Nougat with FlymeOS on top. It is still baffling to see smartphones launching in mid-2018 running Android 7 Nougat.

The 6T has a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The depth sensor will allow for portrait shots, a popular feature among smartphones. To the front is an 8MP camera.

OnePlus recently hinted at the launch of the OnePlus 6T, which is expected to debut in Q4 2018. But, it looks like Meizu will beat its Chinese counterpart on the launch of a 6T!

  • Xiaomi Mi Max 3 To Launch In July 2018

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 To Launch In July 2018

Xiaomi still believes that there is a market for phablets in today’s world. The companies ‘Mi Max’ series has been hugely popular thanks to the display size and price point of the devices. The Mi Max 2 was launched on July 27th, 2017 and there have been a lot of rumours about the Mi Max 3. Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that the Mi Max 3 will follow the same pattern and launch in July this year.

    Mi Max 3
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Early Leaks

We are almost halfway into 2018 and with every smartphone launch, it is becoming harder to differentiate between a smartphone and a phablet. Till a couple of years ago, the average screen size of smartphones used to hover between 5 to 5.5 inch. That, however, has changed ever since companies started adopting the 18:9 aspect ratio and shrunk the bezels. Most of the budget smartphones launched these days have a 6 inch display, bridging the gap between a phablet and a smartphone.

Lei Jun took to Weibo to announce that the company’s Shenzhen event will take place in May-end. He was then asked by many users about the Mi Max 3’s launch date. He responded to the queries by writing that the Mi Max 3 is, “estimated to be released in July and is not ready yet.” This timeline makes sense as well since the Mi Max and Mi Max 2 were released in the month of July as well. The company would want to maintain a launch pattern for some of its devices, especially with the Mi 8 launching later than expected.

    Mi Max 3 Renders

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is expected to run on either Snapdragon 660 or Snapdragon 636. The smartphone will have a 7 inch IPS LCD display with a 2160 x 1080 px resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phablet will certainly have a big screen but, it will no longer be a massive screen real estate upgrade over other budget smartphones. The Redmi Note 5 Pro, for example, has a 6 inch display with a 2160 x 1080 px resolution.

  • Xiaomi Mi 8 With A Notch Spotted In The Wild

Xiaomi Mi 8 With A Notch Spotted In The Wild

The Xiaomi Mi 8, or formerly known as the Mi 7 has been a part of multiple leaks of late. It is rumoured that Xiaomi is planning to launch the Mi 8 to celebrate the company’s eighth anniversary, hence will skip the Mi 7 moniker. This strategy is very similar to Apple’s, which launched the iPhone X to celebrate 10 years of iPhones, instead of launching an iPhone 9. It appears that this won’t be the only thing in common between the Mi 8 and iPhone X.

A new image posted on the Chinese social media website, Weibo reveals an alleged prototype of the Xiaomi Mi 8. The image shows a smartphone in line with many rumours and renders, with an iPhone X style notch thin bezels around the other three sides. However, there is still a chin larger than the iPhone X’s and similar to the OnePlus 6. The notch is very prominent and different from the ones found on recent Android smartphones.

The notch resembles the iPhone X’s notch a lot. That is mainly because it is rumoured to have a 3D facial recognition technology, similar to the iPhone X’s Face ID. The module is designed by Xiaomi itself and will include an Infrared (IR) sensor, a dot projector, front-facing camera, earpiece, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. For context, the iPhone X notch houses an Infrared camera, flood illuminator, a dot projector, and a front-facing camera along with necessary sensors.

    Mi 8 Animojis

Another interesting aspect of the leaked image is a possibility of Xiaomi’s own version of Animojis. In the image, the user is texting someone and an animoji-like panda emoji is in the predictive text bar. Animojis as a feature has been well received and Xiaomi would want to take full advantage of its 3D facial recognition technology. Samsung’s 3D emojis failed to impress due to the lack of a depth-sensing camera but, that won’t be the case with the Mi 8.

    iPhone X Animojis

The chin on the Mi 8, although prominent, is nowhere near the size of the one found on Huawei P20 Pro. The Mi 8 will have an OLED display which means Xiaomi would have been able to bend the display from the bottom toi reduce the size of the chin. The OLED display also means that there is a possibility of an in-display fingerprint sensor, although, it doesn’t make sense for Xiaomi to incorporate two expensive technologies in one smartphone.

  • Xiaomi Mi 8 Renders With iPhone X Like Notch Leaked

Xiaomi Mi 8 Renders With iPhone X Like Notch Leaked

Xiaomi has launched a really good flagship smartphone in 2018, the Mi MIX 2s. Before the Mi MIX 2s announcement, it was highly anticipated that the Chinese smartphone maker will launch the Mi 7 at MWC 2018 instead. However, the company pushed the launch of the Mi 7 for a later date and it now appears that the Mi 7 might not launch at all. Xiaomi will instead launch the Mi 8, to commemorate its eighth anniversary. The Xiaomi Mi 8 might be one of the most ambitious smartphones from Xiaomi, and new renders of the device reveal the possible design.

The leaked renders of the Mi 8 imagine the smartphone with an iPhone X like notch and extremely thin bezels around the other three sides. The notch is bigger than the one found on the Huawei P20 Pro or OnePlus 6, and resemble the iPhone X instead. This is mainly due to the huge amount of sensors stuffed inside the Mi 8 notch. The smartphone is expected to be the first Android device to feature iPhone X like 3D facial recognition technology.

A recently leaked image of the notch of the Mi 8 revealed the all the sensors that will make the facial recognition system possible.

Coincidently, the image looks very similar to Apple’s promotional images of the notch. For context, the iPhone X notch houses an Infrared camera, flood illuminator, a dot projector, and a front-facing camera along with necessary sensors. If Xiaomi pulls it off and these reports have any weight of truth, the Mi 7 could be a very interesting Android smartphone. The Mi 7 could be what the Mi MIX was for Android devices in 2016 with its nearly bezel-less design. Companies like Samsung, Huawei, Google will also look to implement a similar technology sooner rather than later if the Mi 7 is launched with 3D facial recognition technology.

The images also reveal that the Mi 8 won’t have a chin like other Android smartphones with a notch. This means that Xiaomi could also an OLED display, in order to bend it from the bottom and shrink the chin. There are no details about the launch of the smartphone yet.

  • Apple iPhone SE 2 Case Leaks Reveal iPhone X Like Face ID

Apple iPhone SE 2 Case Leaks Reveal iPhone X Like Face ID

With every passing day, we inch closer to this year’s World Wide Developer’s Conference. It is widely anticipated that the Apple iPhone SE 2 will launch before the WWDC 2018 and only a few days in May are left for Apple to hold an event. If the launch doesn’t happen in May, it is entirely possible that Apple will launch 4 iPhones in September. Especially considering the fact that more renders are revealing a design similar to the iPhone X. If true, the SE 2 will look a part of the 2018 lineup and not stick out like a sore thumb with giant bezels and Touch ID.

The new images of iPhone SE 2 cases by Olixar reveal a design we have become familiar with over the past few weeks. The back of the SE 2 is almost iPhone 4-like with a uniform colour instead of the dual-tone colour found on the original iPhone SE. There is still a single camera on the back which we have known for months now. The front of the smartphone is where Apple will take a radical decision, at least according to these cases.

The front of the iPhone SE 2 will sport an iPhone X like notch and a bezel-less design. Apple will incorporate Face ID as well since it won’t just put a notch without solving a purpose. The cases reveal that the chin on the SE 2 will be just like the iPhone X, which means Apple will have to use an OLED panel instead of LCD in order to curve it from the bottom. This is where this design sort of falls apart, since using an OLED panel will significantly increase the price of the smartphone and become a better alternative to the LCD 2018 iPhone.

There is still time to go in May and the WWDC 2018 is a couple of weeks away. India will be one of the first few countries where the Apple iPhone SE 2 will go on sale. It will be manufactured at the Bengaluru plant where the current iPhone SE and iPhone 6s Plus are manufactured.

  • Samsung Galaxy Note9 Leaked Specifications Reveal A Disappointing Upgrade Over Note8

Samsung Galaxy Note9 Leaked Specifications Reveal A Disappointing Upgrade Over Note8

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 was launched in August 2017 at a very competitive price in India. Before its launch, there doubts that the Note8 would just be a Galaxy S8+ with S-Pen but, it turned out to be a great offering at the price. Ever since the Galaxy Note8 was launched, there were rumours that the Galaxy Note9 would feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, that appears to be false and Samsung could push the technology till the Galaxy S10 launch.

A new report claims to have acquired the unofficially accurate specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note9. By unofficially accurate it means that Samsung’s not said so, but based on leaks and precedent. The leaked specifications, at the least, are a bare minimum upgrade from one generation to another. For loyal Samsung-users, it could be a disappointing buy but, users still using a Galaxy Note5 could be in for a substantial upgrade.

    Galaxy Note8

The display would remain the same as the previous gen. It would have a 6.3 inch Super AMOLED display with 2960 x 1440 px resolution. This translates into an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, the smartphone will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset for the US and South Korea markets. For the rest of the markets, the smartphone will run on the Exynos 9810 chipset which is a Samsung SoC. The respective chipset will be coupled with 6GB of RAM along with either 64GB/128GB/256GB storage which will be expandable via microSD card.

Powering the smartphone will be a 3300 mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0 support. Out of the box, the device will run Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung’s Experience 9.0 on top.

The Galaxy Note8 was the first Samsung smartphone to be sport a dual-camera setup. This time around as well, the Galaxy Note9 will have a 12MP wide-angle camera along with a 12MP telephoto lens which will record 4K videos at 60fps. The Galaxy Note9 will also record 720P videos at 960 fps, just like the Galaxy S9 devices.

    Samsung Galaxy Note8

The specifications look eerily similar to the Galaxy Note8’s. You need to squint hard to make out the differences and if they turn out to be true, it may not have as many suitors as the Galaxy Note8 did.

Lenovo Z5 Will Have A World-First 4TB Of Onboard Storage

Lenovo is really going all out with the new flagship smartphone.

In his latest post, Chang claims that the Lenovo Z5 will have a massive 4TB onboard storage. This is an extremely bold claim and we will wait before we jump the gun here. In his post, he claims that this was possible thanks to “particle technology” and this amount of storage can hold 2000 HD movies, 150,000 lossless music files, and 1 million photos.

A few days ago, Lenovo’s Vice President Chang Cheng shared a teaser image of the company’s upcoming flagship device on his Weibo page. The image revealed the top-left side of the smartphone which hinted at the fact that the device won’t have a notch. The bezels were also extremely thin. He then posted a sketch of the smartphone which revealed extremely thin uniform bezels around the display. Cheng has again posted a teaser of the Lenovo Z5, revealing the bottom half of the smartphone.

There are rumours that the smartphone will have a flip-up front camera, something we saw at MWC 2018. The fingerprint sensor could have easily been placed at the back but, rumours claim the smartphone will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, considering how expensive that tech still is, we expect a rear-mounted fingerprint reader on the Lenovo Z5. The sketch also revealed the USB C port located at the bottom while the headphone jack is missing. It is possible that the company could place it on the top but, considering the industry-wide trend, we could see headphone jack-less Lenovo Z5.

Bit by bit, the Lenovo Z5 is being introduced to the world, and so far, the details look promising. The launch is set for June 14th and it’ll be interesting to see if this device will ever make its way outside China.

  • HTC U12+ Official Specifications And Renders Leaked

HTC U12+ Official Specifications And Renders Leaked

Ever since Google acquired HTC’s smartphone division, HTC has launched a few impressive devices. The HTC U11+ had an 18:9 aspect ratio and that beautiful clear design at the back. Earlier in 2018, HTC has launched the Desire 12 and Desire 12+, two budget smartphones. The company has already announced that its new flagship smartphone will be unveiled on May 23rd. Official renders and a specifications sheet of the HTC U12+ has leaked ahead of the launch, leaving nothing to one’s imagination.

Evan Blass, the ever-reliant leaker posted two images on his Twitter account. The first image was an official render of the HTC U12+ revealing the design and colour variants of the soon to be launched flagship device. He then posted an image of what looks like the official specifications sheet of the smartphone, revealing all the details there are to be known.

The HTC U12+ will be the first flagship smartphone from HTC to sport a dual-camera setup. It will feature the same Liquid Glass design that we have seen on devices like the HTC U11 and U11+. The Edge Sense feature retains its place wherein users can squeeze the frame of the smartphone and launch a particular app or action.

HTC has decided to stick to an LCD panel for the HTC U12+. The smartphone will have a 6 inch Super LCD6 display with a 2880 x 1440 px resolution.

It will run on the Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The onboard storage will be expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. Powering the smartphone will be a 3500 mAh battery which will charge via a USB C port. Sadly, that is the only port on the device as the headphone jack is missing. Out of the box, the HTC U12+ will run Android 8 Oreo with HTC’s SenseUI on top.

The dual-camera on the back consists of a 12MP wide-angle lens with an f/1.75 aperture while the secondary 16MP camera is equipped with a telephoto lens and an f/2.6 aperture. Like the iPhone X, Galaxy S9, and the OnePlus 6, the HTC U12+ will also record 4K videos at 60fps. This is a great feature, especially for content creators who like shooting with their smartphones. To the front is an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The HTC U12+ has flagship-grade specifications and a few interesting features. The official launch is set for May 23rd, although, don’t expect it to hit the Indian shores anytime soon.

  • Xiaomi Mi 7 Will Have iPhone X Like 3D Facial Recognition Technology

Xiaomi Mi 7 Will Have iPhone X Like 3D Facial Recognition Technology

The Xiaomi Mi 7 has been in the news ever since the company decided to not launch it at MWC 2018. Xiaomi instead launched the Mi MIX 2s and it appears that the Mi 7 won’t launch very soon. Numerous reports have claimed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will have Face ID-like 3D facial recognition hence, also sport a notch very similar to the iPhone X. A new image posted on Weibo gives a glimpse of what technology Xiaomi will use to attain the accuracy that Face ID has.

The image was uploaded by a prominent Chinese tipster who claims that this is an official image revealing all the sensors that will be housed inside the Mi 7 notch. Coincidently, the image looks very similar to Apple’s promotional images of the notch.

Another interesting thing to note in the Weibo post is that the smartphone has the Mi 8 moniker. This is speculated because 2018 is Xiaomi’s 8th anniversary and there are rumours that the Mi 7 will be launched as Mi 8 to celebrate the anniversary. This would again be similar to what Apple did with the iPhone X, skipping the iPhone 9 moniker to celebrate ten years of iPhones.

The launch of the Mi 7 could happen soon, and the smartphone will go on sale later in the year. How Xiaomi goes about the whole launch and sale situation is yet to be seen.

  • Moto C2, C2 Plus Renders Leaked

Moto C2, C2 Plus Renders Leaked

Lenovo-owned Motorola recently launched new devices in its G and E series of smartphones. The company has had a lot of success with budget smartphones like the Moto G5 Plus, Moto E4 and more. In 2017, Motorola launched the Moto C and Moto C Plus, two very affordable smartphones at a starting price of Rs 4795. The second iteration of the C series, expected to launch soon, the Moto C2 and C2 Plus have been leaked.

According to the renders, the Moto C2 and C2 Plus will have a design very similar to the Moto E4, which was launched last year. The C2 won’t have a fingerprint sensor while the Moto C2 Plus will have a front-facing home button which will house the fingerprint sensor. The design language is similar to last year’s Moto smartphone which means we won’t see an 18:9 aspect ratio here. The bezels are also thick all around the display.

Considering the price point of the two smartphones, the images do reveal possibly well-built devices. The back of both the smartphones house a single camera with an LED flash. Interestingly enough, the front-facing camera has an LED flash as well. This has also become increasingly common these days although it does seem like an add-on rather than a necessity.

Apart from the design, the renders do not reveal anything else. The previous Moto C smartphones ran on MediaTek chipsets and we expect the same with the new generation. It will be interesting to see if the Moto C2 will be an Android Go device, considering the Moto C had 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Apart from the Nokia 1, there aren’t many Android Go smartphones available in India.

Xiaomi’s Redmi 5A, which is priced at Rs 5999 was the 5th bestselling smartphone of Q1 of 2018 and the C2 smartphones will have a stiff competition from other budget smartphones in the highly congested Indian market. Motorola is yet to release the recently launched Moto G6 and E5 series in India. This means the launch of the Moto C2 and C2 Plus could be saved for the third or fourth quarter of 2018.

OnePlus 6 Official Price Leaked Ahead Of May 16th Launch

The OnePlus 6 is one of the many smartphones launching in the month of May. We have already seen the launch of the LG G7 ThinQ, Xiaomi Redmi S2 while the Nokia X, Apple iPhone SE 2 is also expected to launch this month. There isn’t much left to know about the OnePlus 6 as several leaks have revealed what to expect from the device. However, Amazon Germany appears to have leaked the official price of the OnePlus 6 just a few days before its launch.

According to the Amazon listing, the OnePlus 6 will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage variants. This is odd, considering the OnePlus 6 is also expected to be available in a 256GB storage variant. The OnePlus 6, according to the website, will be sold for 519 Euros (Rs 41000 approx.) for the base model and 569 Euros (Rs 45000) for 128GB storage variant. The pricing around the world is a little complicated and this doesn’t mean that the direct conversion to INR will be the price in India. Different regions have different taxes and rules, hence the price varies. The price of the OnePlus 6 is expected to start at Rs 34999 in India.

The Avengers Edition will also be launched along with the OnePlus 6 and is expected to be available in just the 256GB storage variant. Considering OnePlus’ pricing strategy for the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition, the Avengers Edition could be marginally pricier than the regular 256GB storage variant.

A lot seems to have changed with the OnePlus 6. The metallic back will be replaced by a glass back which means we could see wireless charging as well. The smartphone will have a notch on the display which hasn’t pleased everybody. However, OnePlus has conceded that there will be an option to hide the notch via software.

The flagship smartphone will launch on May 16th in London followed by its India launch on May 17th. The smartphone will go on sale on May 21st via Amazon exclusively.
