GoPro Launches HERO 7 Black Limited Edition In India

GoPro launched the HERO 7 Range of action cameras in September 2018. The lineup included the HERO 7 Black, HERO 7 Silver, and HERO 7 White. The company has now released a Limited Edition Dusk White variant for GoPro HERO 7 Black, which supports 8x Slo-mo video, Timewarp video and several other features.

    Features

The GoPro HERO 7 Black has a 2 Inch (480 x 320 px) touch panel that can be used to access different available shooting options on the device. It sports a 12MP sensor that can shoot 4K videos at 60 fps (frames per second). The camera also features 8x Slo-Mo feature, which captures super slow 1080p videos at 240 fps. The American company claims that it delivers gimbal-like camera stabilization without the gimbal, leading to extremely stable HyperSmooth videos.

In terms of other features, the HERO 7 Black limited edition brings TimeWarp video shooting to the table. TimeWarp ensures that the camera captures a smooth and stabilized time lapse video, even if the person is moving through or around the scene. GoPro also provides the ‘SuperPhoto’ feature in the limited edition, which tones the camera images with HDR, local tone mapping and noise reduction. According to the company, the SuperPhoto feature can work in any form of lighting.

GoPro action cameras are known to be tough and rugged for extra durability, and the HERO 7 Black follows on the same line. GoPro claims that the Hero 7 Black is ‘tough as nails’, and can shoot in water depths of up to 10m. In addition, the camera supports a total of 16 voice commands, which allows the users to click pictures hands free, or tag their videos on social media. Speaking of social media, GoPro HERO 7 Black Limited Edition supports live streaming to Facebook via Facebook Live and Youtube. Other features include Face/Smile detection, GPS and 3.5mm audio mic input. The camera is bundled with a 1220 mAh battery, mounting equipment and a USB Type-C cable in the packaging.

  • OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple Unboxing And First Look

OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple Unboxing And First Look

The OnePlus 6T was launched in India on the 30th of October. The phone is the latest flagship from OnePlus. It has an array of new features including a bigger display, water-drop notch, in-display fingerprint sensor and more. However, at the time of the launch, the device was available in only two colours; midnight black and mirror black. But, keeping in mind the trend that OnePlus follows, we were sure that more colour options were on the way.

As expected, OnePlus is now set to launch a limited edition Thunder Purple variant of the phone.  The Thunder Purple variant will be available in a  8 GB RAM + 128 GB Storage variant, and will go on sale starting November 16th. The phone is priced at Rs 41,999.

As mentioned before, keeping in mind the trend that OnePlus follows with the launch of its devices, we can expect to see a few more colour options for the OnePlus 6T in the future. This may include a limited edition which was earlier leaked. Another possibility is a special edition device representing  a movie, like the OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition and the OnePlus 6 Avengers edition.

What is really impressive on the OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple is the almost metallic finish that the company has achieved on the glass back. This, along with the smooth gradient really gives the device a ‘thunderous’ look.

    OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple Specifications

The OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple has a 6.41 inch AMOLED display with a 2340 x 1080 px resolution and a pixel density of 402 ppi. The display has a water-drop notch, which gives the phone more screen real estate than the OnePlus 6.

One of the most attractive features is the in-display fingerprint sensor. It uses a  fourth generation in-display fingerprint sensor, which is extremely fast and responsive. It is one of the best in-display fingerprint sensors out there right now. What’s more, the fingerprint sensor gets more accustomed to your fingerprint every time you use it. This results in faster unlock speeds every time.

Under the hood, the Thunder Purple 6T packs a 3,700 mAh battery and has Dash Charging support. The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and has 8 GB of RAM along with 128 GB of storage. The phone uses Oxygen OS based on Android 9 Pie. This features advanced gestures and faster app cold start speeds.

In terms of photography, it has a dual 16 MP + 20 MP rear camera with software improvements such as portrait lighting and Night Scape. The front facing camera is a 16 MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone has bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, NFC and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. Other than the in-display fingerprint sensor, it also features Face Unlock for securely unlocking the device.

    Price & Availability

The OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple limited edition will go on sale starting November 16th and will be available both online an offline. The phone is priced at Rs 41,999. We can expect a few more variants of the OnePlus 6T to be launched in the future. While this does add to the excitement around the device, some may be a bit upset about having to wait for such a long time to see all the options available. What do you think about OnePlus’s strategy to launch colours over a period of time? Tell us in the comments below!

  • OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple Edition Shown Off In Official Renders

OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple Edition Shown Off In Official Renders

Earlier this week, a listing had given us an idea about the existence of a OnePLus 6T Thunder Purple variant. The listing now seems legit as official press images of the same have now been leaked. The OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple sure does look great. It also hints at the fact that OnePlus may have some more variants of their latest flagship in store for us.

This trend was started way back with the OnePlus 5T. The 5T saw a limited edition variant launching sometime after the smartphone itself was launched. The OnePlus 6 also carried forward this trend by releasing two new colours, Silk White and Red, followed by an Avengers Limited Edition device. Keeping this in mind, it is safe to say that we might see the launch of many other colours and maybe even limited editions of the OnePlus 6T.

Last month, a listing on a German website had given us a glance at an Ultimate Edition’ OnePlus 6T. But it was taken down soon after. The listing detailed just a 100 pieces of this truly limited device. However, OnePlus is yet to make a comment on any new editions of the OnePlus 6T which we might see in the future.

    OnePlus 6T

The OnePlus 6T is the latest flagship by OnePlus. The phone sports a 6.41 inch Super AMOLED display with a water drop notch. It has a 2340 x 1080 px resolution and a 402 ppi density. The most striking feature is its in-display fingerprint sensor. The OnePlus 6T is power a 3,700 mAh battery which supports Dash Charging. Running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, it runs Oxygen OS based on Android 9 Pie, out of the box. The device has 6 GB and 8 GB RAM options along with 128 GB and 256 GB storage options. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass Protection and it is better water sealed due to the absence of a headphone jack. It has a 16 MP + 20 MP dual rear camera setup along with a 16 MP front camera.

  • OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition Goes On Sale In India On May 29th For Rs 44999

OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition Goes On Sale In India On May 29th For Rs 44999

OnePlus launched the OnePlus 6 in India on May 17th. Along with the regular variant, the Chinese smartphone maker also launched the OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition at a price of Rs 44999. The limited edition smartphone goes on sale in India on May 29th and will be available on Amazon.in and OnePlus.in from 12 noon. Customers will be able to avail a Rs 2000 cashback using CitiBank Debit and Credit Card and No Cost EMI for up to 3 months on all popular banks.

The OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition has the same all-glass design like the OnePlus 6. However, there is a carbon fibre finish underneath the glass, giving it a very different look than the regular OnePlus 6. The alert slider also has a golden accent as opposed to the black colour on the regular OnePlus 6.

With the OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition, you also get custom Avengers Infinity War wallpapers. There is also an Avengers Theme preinstalled which has a dark look to it with golden accents. It is possible that this theme will somehow make its way to other OnePlus devices as well in the future. For now, however, it is exclusive to limited edition OnePlus 6. The specifications remain the same as the OnePlus 6.

It has a 6.28 inch Optic AMOLED display with a 2280 x 1080 px resolution. The aspect ratio is 19:9 which means it is slightly taller than the OnePlus 5T.

    [amazon_link asins=’B0756Z43QS’ template=’ProductAd’ store=’igyaan-21′ marketplace=’IN’ link_id=’25e61181-625f-11e8-8c05-df1221860959′]

It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset which has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.8GHz. Coupled with the flagship chipset is 8GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The storage is still not user-expandable just like every other OnePlus device. The fingerprint sensor is still placed on the rear but, it has a more oval shape this time around.

Powering the device is a 3300 mAh battery with Dash Charge support. The smartphone will have gesture support which we tested on the OnePlus 5T during its Beta test.

The dual-camera setup on the back includes a 16MP Sony IMX 519 sensor and a 20MP Sony IMX 376K sensor. Both are RGB sensors and have an f/1.7 aperture with OIS, another first for a OnePlus device. The cameras also record 4K videos at 60fps which is a great feature for content creators. To the front of the smartphone is a 16MP Sony IMX 371 sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and EIS which records 1080P videos.

The OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition looks extremely nice and could be a great buy for Marvel fanatics looking for a special edition product for their collection! However, it is to be seen how many people will be willing to shell out Rs 44999 for the smartphone.

  • Unboxing The OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition

Unboxing The OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition

On December 14th, almost a month after launching the OnePlus 5T, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition. It was a limited edition smartphone in association with the Star Wars: The Last Jedi film. On May 17th, one day after globally launching the OnePlus 6 in London, the Chinese smartphone maker launched the OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition in India. The limited edition smartphone is in association with the recently released Avengers: Infinity War film.

    OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition

The smartphone will be available in variant only, with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. In India, the device will retail for Rs 44999 via Amazon from May 29th. The special edition smartphone will also come in a different style of box.

    [section label=”Initial Impressions”]

OnePlus has gone out of its way to make this smartphone a special buy for Marvel fanatics. Every OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition will retail with a special Avengers case, in our package was an Iron Man case. Every retail box will also have a gold coloured medallion. The company has announced if you collect 6 medallions, there is a special prize in store for you. The company has, however, not announced what the prize will be.

The build quality, specifications are exactly the same as the regular OnePlus 6. However, with the OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition, the back of the device has a carbon fibre finish underneath the glass. This look is reminiscent of the Carbon Fibra back panel which was available for the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. The OnePlus continued to sell a snap-on case for its other devices with the carbon fibre finish. Like what OnePlus did with the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition, we expect the OnePlus 6 Carbon Fibre to be launched in other countries without the Avengers branding.

It has a 6.28 inch Optic AMOLED display with a 2280 x 1080 px resolution. The aspect ratio is 19:9 which means it is slightly taller than the OnePlus 5T.

Powering the device is a 3300 mAh battery with DashCharge support. DashCharge continues to be one of the fastest charging technologies and could be the reason why OnePlus did not think that wireless charging was necessary here. Out of the box, the OnePlus 6 will run Android 8.1 Oreo with OxygenOS on top. The smartphone will have gesture support which we tested on the OnePlus 5T during its Beta test. There is a special Avengers theme which is a dark theme with gold accents. There are also exclusive Avengers wallpapers pre-installed. It would have been really cool to have an Avengers font as well but, that is not available yet.

The OnePlus Avengers Infinity War Edition is a collector’s dream and looks really good as well. It has the sturdiness of the OnePlus 6 and the carbon fibre underneath the glass gives it a distinguished look among the increasingly similar-looking flagship smartphones.

  • OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition Retail Box Hints At Kevlar Finish Back Panel

OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition Retail Box Hints At Kevlar Finish Back Panel

The OnePlus 6 will be the much-awaited follow-up to the OnePlus 5T which was launched in November 2017. So far, we already know quite a few details about the upcoming flagship smartphone. OnePlus has generously teased almost all the new features that we can expect from the device, including the limited edition OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition of the smartphone. Now, a new image posted OnePlus’ Weibo account reveals the design of the retail box of the OnePlus Avengers Edition.

The image does not reveal any specifications of the device. However, there is a huge hint about the build and design of the smartphone on the box. The Avengers insignia features a kevlar finish which hints at the build and design of the special edition OnePlus variant. In the teaser of the smartphone that OnePlus released a few days ago, we noticed a similar hint.

This could be possible, considering the company brought back the famed Sandstone finish on the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition. It is worth noting that the OnePlus 5T STar Wars Edition was launched in other countries as the Sandstone Edition, meaning a Kevlar Edition could be in the pipeline for OnePlus in other countries. The company has already confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will have a glass back, and the Avengers Edition could be a unique offering from OnePlus.

The OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition is expected to be only available in the 8GB and 256GB storage model. Considering OnePlus’ pricing strategy, the OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition will be priced slightly higher than the regular OnePlus 6 256GB storage model.

    OnePlus 6

In 2018, the OnePlus 6 will be the only affordable flagship smartphone for now. Things might change when Xiaomi launches the Mi MIX 2s and Asus launches the Zenfone 5Z in India. However, the OnePlus 6 with its new features should have a lot of suitors. We will keep you updated with all the news about the OnePlus 6 as we approach its official launch.

Limited Edition Samsung Galaxy Note8 PyeongChang 2018 Unveiled

Samsung has unveiled a swanky new variant of the Galaxy Note8 which you may never be able to get your hands on. The 2018 Winter Olympics will take place in PyeongChang, South Korea from the 9th of February to February 25th. Samsung, as one of the main sponsors of the Games, will give more than 4000 personalised Galaxy Note8 devices to athletes and IOC staff. While this device is exclusively for athletes as of now, Samsung might change its plans and launch this device for the public as well. The company released the 2016 Olympics edition Galaxy S7 Edge to the public as well, though it only sold a couple of thousand units worldwide.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a 6.3 inch 2960 x 1440 px 18.5:9 aspect ratio Super AMOLED display with an 83.1% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back of the device.

  • You Can Own A Gold Apple iPhone X For Rs. 1,36,000

You Can Own A Gold Apple iPhone X For Rs. 1,36,000

Apple launched the iPhone X back in September 2017 at a starting price of US $999 while in India, it retails at a starting price of Rs. 89000. While the iPhone X is the priciest iPhone ever launched by Apple, it is certainly not the most expensive iPhone you can buy. If you have about Rs. 1,36,000 burning a hole in your pocket, a Blush Gold iPhone X can be yours.

A Chinese company has launched the iPhone X Blush Gold, Bronze and Champagne Gold Color customised variants for users in China. It starts at a price tag of CNY 13888 (US $2149 or Rs. 1,36,659 approx) and goes up to CNY 16888 (US $2923 or Rs. 1,85,859 approx.).

However, it is not just the colour that is customised according to a user’s need, they can also choose a different middle frame of the iPhone X. Customers can either choose an iPhone X-style curved frame or a flat iPhone 4-style frame. That level of customisation obviously deserves top dollar. The box is not the average run of the mill Apple box, it is a big box designed like a gift for every user.

In 2017, Apple launched the Product RED iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. It is possible that Apple might launch a Product RED iPhone X as well. If you are on the lookout for a special edition iPhone X, then you’d want to wait and see if a red iPhone X will be launched or not. Otherwise, a Blush Gold, Bronze or Champagne Gold colour options are always available.

  • OnePlus 5T Sandstone White Is The Star Wars Edition Minus The Logo

OnePlus 5T Sandstone White Is The Star Wars Edition Minus The Logo

In late-December, OnePlus started teasing the launch of another variant of the OnePlus 5T. It was expected that the company will launch a new phone with a sandstone finish, that became famous thanks to the OnePlus One and OnePlus Two. On January 5th, the company launched the OnePlus 5T Sandstone White at the same price as the original OnePlus 5T.

    [amazon_link asins=’B0756ZFXVB’ template=’ProductAd’ store=’igyaan-21′ marketplace=’IN’ link_id=’f22cb93c-f1d3-11e7-aafd-a7bdb5e04fbc’]

The OnePlus 5T Sandstone White is essentially the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition minus the promotional bells and whistles. Right from the red colour alert slider to a different hue around the fingerprint sensor, the Sandstone White is the same Star Wars Edition but, for other markets. The Star Wars Edition OnePlus 5T that we unboxed, was an India-exclusive device hence, it is fair to assume that the Sandstone White variant won’t be entering the Indian market anytime soon.

    OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition

The Sandstone White is no way close to what the OnePlus One looked or felt like. Even though the back is textured, it is just not as grippy as the original OnePlus One and its sandstone finish back panel. However, a textured aluminium back will always be grippier than a brushed aluminium back found on the original OnePlus 5T. This also gives OnePlus 5T buyers a different colour option other than the Midnight Black which has become increasingly common.

Apart from the Sandstone White, the OnePlus 5T in a Lava Red colour is expected to be launched in India in late-January. A new report claims that in order to utilise the holiday sales, OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 5T Lava Red in India on January 23rd. It also supports the argument by stating that Amazon (OnePlus’ preferred online partner) rarely launches a device on a national holiday or weekend.

    OnePlus 5T Midnight Black

Considering the company’s pricing strategy for the Sandstone White variant, the Lava Red colour could enter the Indian market with the same price tag as its Midnight Black sibling. If so, then the new colour could well become the new fan favourite.

  • OnePlus 5T Lava Red Edition Is Coming To India

OnePlus 5T Lava Red Edition Is Coming To India

The OnePlus 5 and 5t have seen their fair share of ‘limited edition’ releases in 2017. In September, OnePlus teamed up with French artist and design, Castelbajac to launch the limited edition OnePlus 5 Castelbajac in Paris. In December, the OnePlus 5T Star Wars limited edition was launched in India. However, between these two limited edition releases, China saw the launch of a Lava Red colour variant of the OnePlus 5T.

OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition

It appeared that this would remain a China-exclusive and never see a global release, just like many other exciting products. However, the Chinese manufacturer might be launching the Lava Red colour variant of the OnePlus 5T in India on the 26th of January. According to a report, a “Source close to OnePlus ” has conceded that the device might be launched for the Indian audience as well.

OnePlus has identified the Indian market and is covering extra yards to make the Indian consumers feel special. The Star Wars edition of the OnePlus 5T was an India-exclusive device and the company went all-out to promote it. A new colour variant will give the consumers another incentive to buy the OnePlus 5T as no other brand, as of now, offers a red colour variant of its device in the same price bracket. The iPhone 7 and the Xiaomi Mi A1 are the only other prominent devices that also retail in a red colour variant.

The Lava Red colour variant of the OnePlus 5T will only be available in the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant which is priced at Rs. 37999 in India. It will be interesting to see if the Indian consumers will have to cough up more money for the new colour.

    OnePlus 5 Castlebajac Edition

Not just the Lava Red variant, the company will soon launch the Sandstone variant of the OnePlus 5T. iGyaan reported that a video uploaded by OnePlus on its official YouTube account hinted towards a new variant of the OnePlus 5T which will be reminiscent of the iconic sandstone finish on the OnePlus One and OnePlus Two. Now, it appears that the device will be launched on the 5th of January. The Sandstone variant will be launched in China first and it is expected that this variant will see a global launch soon, unlike the Lava Red edition. Stay tuned for more updates on this!

Right off the bat, the thing that shines is the colour combination and attention to detail on this special limited edition OnePlus 5T. It has a white coloured back panel with a sandstone finish as a homage to the Planet Crait and a red Star Wars logo. The interesting thing here is that the alert slider is also red in colour. Just like the OnePlus 5T, the device has a nice build quality and fits well in the hand. The buttons are well-placed for an easy reach.

The limited edition Star Wars OnePlus 5T will be available only in the 8GB RAM variant with 128GB of onboard storage. Apart from the colour scheme and the Star Wars logo, there is nothing different in terms of hardware.

The OnePlus 5T has a 6-inch Full Optic AMOLED display with a 2160 x 1080 px resolution and an 80.5% screen to body ratio.

OnePlus 5T and Star Wars OnePlus 5T

Under the hood, the OnePlus 5T has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, a 2.4GHz octa-core processor, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage which cannot be expanded. Powering the device is a 3300 mAh battery which supports OnePlus’ DashCharge technology.

The OnePlus 5T runs stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat with customisability options thanks to the Oxygen OS on top.

One big change in the OnePlus 5T is in the camera department. Unlike the OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 5T no longer has a secondary telephoto lens at the back. Instead, OnePlus has decided to focus on the device’s low-light photography capabilities. The cameras do not have OIS and OnePlus has decided to go for EIS on the dual camera setup at the back. The device has a 16MP camera with an f/1.7 aperture coupled with a 20MP sensor with the same f/1.7 aperture and field of view, ie no optical zoom. On the front is a 20MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

  • OnePlus To Launch The Star Wars Limited Edition OnePlus 5T In India Today

OnePlus To Launch The Star Wars Limited Edition OnePlus 5T In India Today

The OnePlus 5T was launched in November with a tall display and thin bezels, something that was missing in the OnePlus 5. A few days ago, the company confirmed that it will be launching a Star Wars limited edition OnePlus 5T at an event in Mumbai on the 14th of December. Along with this limited edition smartphone launch, the company also announced that it will be giving away 10,000 Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie tickets across a few cities.

While not a lot is known about the phone, it is expected to come pre-loaded with custom Star Wars themes and a few design changes that will pay homage to the upcoming Star Wars movie and the franchise. Other than that, there won’t be any hardware changes from the OnePlus 5T which was launched in November.

What will be interesting is the price of the Star Wars OnePlus 5T. If the Chinese smartphone maker keeps the price similar to the regular OnePlus 5T, then quite a few people might be persuaded into paying the extra cash for something that will be an exclusive and limited edition. The OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition will go on sale from the 15th of December.
