PUBG Mobile: How Can Players Check Their First Year Game Stats?

Player’s Unknown Battlegrounds or PUBG is not a game anymore. It is an integral part of people’s lives these days. Gamers are hooked like crazy to the game, with good reason too! In February, the game completed one year of its launch, and Tencent has still kept the celebrations ongoing. Noteworthy, third-party websites and applications can do the same for PUBG PC players, but not a lot of applications existed to keep up with the player stats in PUBG Mobile. By the introduction of an in-game button for the same, the developers have taken a neat step towards integrating the statistics option with the game.

For those players who are looking to access the statistics within the game, there’s an event button at the bottom right corner of the home screen of the game. Upon clicking that button, players have to scroll down a bit where they will see a section labelled as PUBG Mobile: First year, which will include a clickable link. After clicking, the in-game browser will take a minute or two to completely render the statistics page, where you can see a wide variety of information.

Which Statistics Can You Check?

The first year statistics page displays the total number of matches played, total wins, kills, damage dealt and the average distance travelled per match. In addition, the feature will display whether the most played game mode by a player is solo, duo or squads. Furthermore, players can see their favourite weapons and can even check how many times they were knocked out by a pan.

It’s worthy to be noted that only classic matches will be taken into account, so players who regularly play arcade mode may not see their stats updated on the page. PUBG Mobile Six-Hour Ban Lifted, Developers Issue Apology

A few days ago, reports were rife that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG Mobile, an immensely popular game in India is imposing a new rule. This allowed the users to play the game for a period of six hours before being banned for the entire day. Many of the players were furious because of the decision and vented it out on various social media channels. In a tweet by the official Twitter account of PUBG Mobile India, the developers of the game have apologised, claiming the restriction was a bug, which has since been fixed, along with a few other bugs that were causing a hindrance in the gameplay.

The latest in-app update to PUBG Mobile, the official tweet claims to fix a few of the bugs that were reported in the game. The Birthday Crate, which was put in place to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the game has been changed. A bug which let misuse of the coupons to get free in-game currency has also been fixed. Because of it, the payment service is functioning again after a brief hiatus.

The biggest change and perhaps the most anticipated in PUBG Mobile is the removal of the Healthy Gameplay System error. As mentioned above, this restricted the users to play for more than six hours in a day. The official account claims the players will supposedly get to play the game without any interruptions. Despite the claimed fix, some users have reported the bug still persists. It is expected that the issue will be fixed for all users in the following days.

Another Youngster Dies From Playing PUBG Excessively (Update: False)

In the latest development to the story, it has since come to light that claims made regarding the demise of a 20-year-old boy named Sagar due to playing PUBG Mobile excessively were fake. As per Dr Raj Kiran, who treated late Sagar has clarified that the deceased was suffering from a serious infection and was undergoing treatment which was not caused due to playing the mobile game.

A video shared by friends of Sagar was misinterpreted which spread like a wildfire. It was revealed that friends of the deceased wanted to cheer him up while he was in tremendous pain. His friends talked about PUBG Mobile in the short clip which was mistaken to the cause of his sickness. Subsequently, the doctor has dismissed the previously made claims and has put an end to the sham news.

A youngster based out of Jagtial, Telangana has died due to health implications caused because of playing PUBG mobile for extended periods of time. The deceased boy, Sagar who was 20 years old was addicted to the mobile game since the past 45 days. Reportedly, he played the game day in an day out which due to improper posture affected his nerves. Sagar, now deceased was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad where he underwent treatment for 5 days. Sadly even in the hospital his condition did not improve and he subsequently passed.

Similar Instances Linked To PUBG Mobile

There have been numerous unfavourable cases linked to PUBG mobile in the past that have shaken the nation. Earlier this week two youngsters residing from Maharashtra were mowed down by a train while they were playing the highly engrossing game near the railway tracks late in the night.

Another instance was of a young man from Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh who drank acid mistaking it for water, while engaged in the PUBG mobile game.

Reaction Of Tencent, PUBG’s Developer

Although Tencent is yet to release a statement on the mishap that has taken place in the country, it had previously imposed a lockdown which prevents a user from playing the game for more than 6 hours in a day. Also, users under the age of 13 in some regions are being prompted to a digital lockdown which needs the guardian or the device owner to unlock. Furthermore, the company is also expected to take even resolute steps to curb its addiction in order to prevent a foreseen ban.

PUBG Mobile, Here’s What To Expect From Season 6 Update

Player’s Unknown Battlegrounds is undoubtedly the most popular mobile game right now. Developers are constantly striving to provide regular updates to keep the users engaged in the game. Season 6 for the game is already on the line, and it is expected to be rolled out to PUBG players on March 21. The update will reportedly be 247 MB in size and will include a host of new weapons, avatars and new game modes to keep the gamers hooked.

Update Features

The Season 6 update will introduce new weapons like the G36C in the game. The rifle will be exclusive to the snow-laden Vikendi Map and will act as a replacement to the SCAR-L assault rifle. Erangel and Miramar will finally be playable in dynamic weather conditions. Previously, Vikendi and Sanhok were the only maps in the game to sport dynamic weather. In the new update, zombies will also be affected, with the undead getting weaker with time. Players would easily be able to kill zombies as the dawn approaches.

10 Students Arrested For Playing PUBG In Gujarat

PUBG or Player’s Unknown Battlegrounds is a battle royale game that almost everyone is familiar with these days. The game has seen massive popularity amongst teenagers and adults alike. Needless to say, a lot of school-going kids and students are hooked to the game, and this has led to an overall decrease in academic performance for a lot of students. Amidst rising concerns, On March 8, 2019, the state government of Gujarat announced that anyone found playing PUBG will be arrested under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code. On March 13, 10 students were arrested for the same in Rajkot, Gujarat.

The students were ultimately released on bail, the police commissioner clarified. He also added that the booked students will be tried in a court in spite of all the circumstances.

A similar ban was also imposed on the “Momo Challenge”, which is a series of challenges that the user must complete in order to achieve victory and meet an imaginary character called “The Momo”. PUBG Mobile 0.11.5 Beta Update Introduces New Weapons, Vehicles & More
The immensely popular PUBG mobile keeps on getting better with each passing day. Bluehole Corporation, the developer of PUBG has released yet another beta update for the game which brings several new changes ranging from new weapons to vehicles to dynamic weather. The latest update has the version number ‘0.11.5’ and the update consumes 1.7 GB of data to download for the Android operating system. PUBG Changelog With 0.11.5 Update

PUBG Mobile Banned In Cities Of Gujarat

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG is a household name these days. The game has been downloaded over 100 million times from the Google Play Store and the number keeps on growing. The game involves 100 online players who are dropped on a deserted island, and the last player to survive wins. Different strategies are used by players to remain alive on the battlefield. The game is free to play on all platforms, hence the game has developed a huge player base in a short period of time. But lately, various incidents are coming to light in regard to people being addicted to this game.

About The Ban

On January 23 2019, Gujarat’s government wrote to the Central Government to impose a ban over the aforementioned game. On March 7, Rajkot Police Commissioner issued a notification to ban PUBG. As per the notice, the ban will be implemented from March 9 to April 30. If someone sees a person or a group of people playing PUBG, he/she can inform the police regarding their whereabouts and the associated authority will take necessary action. Furthermore, The Chairperson of Gujarat Child Rights Body sent a circular to the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) of all states to help keep PUBG addiction in check.

Bans On Other Games

PUBG was not the only game which was banned by the authorities. A similar ban was imposed on the “Momo Challenge”, which is a series of challenges that the user must complete in order to achieve victory and meet an imaginary character called “The Momo”. According to reports, the game involved self-harming acts that eventually led to suicide. Games that brainwash children and teenagers are not new since a similar game called “Blue Whale” gained popularity in 2017-18.

Circulars were being distributed around schools since students started showing signs of addiction to the battle royale game. Some of them were performing poorly in academics. A number of extreme incidents were also reported across the country. For instance, a Delhi teenager committed suicide because his parents refused to buy him an expensive smartphone for playing PUBG. In March 2019, A 25 year old accidentally drank acid instead of water while he was hooked to the game, almost losing his life.

PUBG Mobile was released for smartphones a little over a year ago. The game has since become a phenomenon worldwide. Essentially a version of an already hit PC and console game optimised for smartphones, PUBG Mobile has seen tremendous success. A few weeks ago, it announced a partnership with Capcom’s new game Resident Evil 2 in which a zombie mode was promised in the game. PUBG Mobile v0.11.0: What’s New?

The new update adds two significant updates to PUBG Mobile. One is the aforementioned zombie survival mode. This mode has been made available for a limited time and is only limited to the Erangel map in the game. The players will be able to participate in the game as a team or can go solo for the event. Besides the regular battle royale mode wherein the players have to eliminate each other to become the last man standing, zombies and monsters will also be introduced in the game. 11-Year Old Moves To Court To Ban PUBG

PUBG is all the rage these days. The Battle Royale game is very popular in India and mostly among kids. But it looks like some kids are so tired of playing it that they want a permanent ban to be put on PUBG. 11 year Ahad Nizam, a resident of Mumbai, has filed a Public Interest Litigation(PIL) in the Bombay High Court. In his PIL, Ahad seeks a ban to be put on the game in Maharashtra.

Speaking to DNA, Ahad says “After playing for a few days, I began to feel low and negative, so I stopped. This is why I have appealed to the government”. With the help of his mother, Ahad wrote to Chief Minister, Education Minister, Home Minister, the Ministry of Electronics and IT. And also the Medical Council of India, city police commissioner, Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Ltd and Changhan Kim, of The PUB-G Corporation.

PUBG Ban: A History

This is not the first time someone is asking a ban to be put to the game. Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association asked the Governor Satya Pal Naik to ban the game. No action was taken since. Gujarat government had distributed circulars a week ago. These directed district authorities to ensure a ban on the online multiplayer game.

PUBG Mobile has been one of the most popular smartphone games of last year. The Battle Royale styled game drops 100 players into a map where a player has to fight against all the others to emerge victorious at the end. The game’s popularity can be attributed to the fast paced playstyle, various new maps and timely updates. One of the most important things that PUBG ensures, is that its players do not cheat or have any undue advantage over other players.

In doing so, PUBG has created a positive and fair game environment. Just last year, the game crossed 200 million downloads and achieved over 30 million daily active users. PUBG has also banned over 13 million players since June 2017. This is both a good as well as a bad sign for the game. It is great that Tencent is taking steps to ban cheaters from the game, but it also does not bode well on the company since they are unable to close the gaps that allow people to cheat. Last month, PUBG banned around 30,000 players along with four professional players. Now new information states that twelve more professional players have faced the axe. These included four professional players with three-year bans from the game’s North American esports league.

Who Got Banned And Why?

The twelve players that were banned recently were reportedly caught using Radar hacks at the PUBG European League (PEL). Out of the twelve, six were caught cheating during a professional game. This includes players named “Papaya”, “Cabecao”, “swalker”, “zuppaa”, “Houlow” and “sezk0.” They now each face a three-year ban. Radar hack allows a player to see their nearby enemies on the map giving them an advantage to spot and shoot first. Four other players named “Avalon”, “Smitty”, “TEXQS”, and “S1D” received a two year ban for using unauthorised software during public matchmaking as well.

PUBG Mobile India Series Announced With A Prize Pool Of 1 Crore

PUBG has a huge fan base in India and the game has grown even bigger since the arrival of the game on the mobile platform. Now, Playerunknown’s Battleground has announced a tournament for all the mobile PUBG players in India. The competition has a prize pool of 1 Crore Indian rupees.

How To Register?

The registrations will be open till 23 January. All you need to do is verify your email id after you click on “Register Now” button. Once you have verified your email, you will need to fill up a registration form. After that you can choose to join or create a squad of a minimum of 4 members. You can join a squad using the squad ID or you can use the “Create Squad” button to create one on your own.

Schedule

The schedule for the tournament are as follows:

Registration 9 January – 23 January

Online In-Game Qualifier 21 January – 27 January

Online Playoff’s 10 February – 24 February

Grand Finals March – Exact Dates TBD

Every participant who decides to participate in this tournament must be an Indian resident and have their own devices. PUBG has also said that during the In-game Qualifier and Online Playoffs, the players are expected to use their own devices without any emulators, hacks and any other 3rd party software/tool. For the Grand Finals, devices will be provided to the players by the organisers. Tencent Games has also said in the tournament page that all players must install the newest version of the game in order to participate in PUBGM India Series.

Seeding

In Round 1, the Top 2000 Squads are seeded into 100 groups with each group consisting of 20 squads. For Round 2, the top 400 squads from Round 1 will be seeded into 20 groups again, with each group consisting of 20 squads. In Round 3, the top 80 squads from Round 2 will be seeded into 4 groups, each consisting 20 squads.
