As the awareness regarding environmental concerns increases, companies across the world are looking to adopt clean energy. Italian supercar manufacturer, Ferrari has adopted the best of both worlds in its latest supercar, which is the SF90 Stradale. The supercar is referred to as hybrid due to the fact it packs a 4-liter 769-horsepower Turbo V8 engine alongside three electric motors which have a combined output of 162 kW or 217 HP. The company claims while both the power sources function simultaneously, the SF90 can achieve a speed of 100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds.

The company which designed the Ferrari F40, Pininfarina, is planning to launch a $2 million electric hypercar according to reports. Pininfarina has designed Maserati cars as well. Now the company is planning to launch its own hypercar in hopes to set a benchmark in the history of car making. The company is calling this the PF0 or the PF Zero.

For the uninitiated among you, The Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS) is an annual hill climb featuring historic motor racing vehicles, held in the grounds of Goodwood House, West Sussex, England, every June/July. Visitors can expect to see lots of cars and motorbikes from over 100 years of worldwide motor racing history as well as newer models take a shot at the hill run. The Board of Directors of Ferrari S.p.A. reported a very positive first quarter of 2012, revenues rose to 556.1 million euro (+13.2 per cent) and 1,733 cars were delivered to the dealership network, an increase of 11.5 per cent on the same period last year. Trading profit grew by 13.4 per cent to 60.5 million euro, while net profits rose by 17.2 per cent (42.1 million euro).
