LG Will Launch A Rebranded LG G7 In June 2018

LG is working on a new flagship smartphone with the code name Judy. Smartphone tipster named Evan Blass has shed some light on the upcoming flagship offering from Korean smartphone maker.

Though this is a successor of LG G6, it will have a new name and will not be called as LG G7. The G6 was one of the first flagship smartphones that featured 18:9 aspect ratio with a nearly bezel-less design. The outdated processor  ( Snapdragon 821) on G6 didn’t leave enough room for the device to make an impact.

This time around, the smartphone maker is taking its time to launch a product with the latest set of hardware. to compete against upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9.

    Speculated specifications of LG Judy:

The Judy is expected to have a 6.1-inch display with a new MLCD+ technology, which offers better brightness compared to a typical IPS LCD panel. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage.

The MLCD+ is a new display technology, which offers high-level of brightness of up to 800 nits. It does this with less power consumption, up to 30% less than typical LCD panel.

Like with the LG V30, the smartphone will feature dual-camera setup on the back. In typical LG fashion, it will be a combination of a regular lens and a wide-angle lens with an f/1.6 aperture. Like every other LG flagship smartphone, this one will also feature IP68 certification against water and dust resistance. For the first time, the LG smartphone will have a stereo speaker setup, dubbed as “boombox”.

    Conclusion:

Launching a smartphone later in the year makes sense for LG. It also falls in line with the company’s decision to not follow a set launch cycle. The presence of the latest chipset will also help its case. Let’s hope that LG gets the pricing right for this one.

LG V30s Along With LG Lens To Debut At MWC

LG and its smartphone business, in particular, has been going through a rocky patch of late. The smartphone maker has been rumoured to take drastic steps in order to shake things up a bit and change the outlook of its smartphone portfolio. One such step was to not follow a launch pattern and bring in new versions of existing phones rather than new phones altogether.

With that in mind, it was speculated that the company would launch the LG V30+ Alpha with AI capabilities at MWC 2018. However, a new report coming out of South Korea has claimed that the company would launch the LG V30s at MWC 2018. Along with that, it would also unveil the LG Lens. An AI camera app that will work similar to the Bixby camera and Google Lens.

The LG V30s will have 256GB of onboard storage and over the 64GB found in the regular LG V30. This will also be double the storage found in the LG V30+ which was launched in India in December. The price of the smartphone is expected a little over one million won (US$ 918). With an older chipset and LG’s custom skin, it might not be the best decision to increase the price of the device so much.

The LG Lens will be the marquee addition to the LG V30s over the previous versions. The LG Lens is expected to let users search and shop for items using the camera. Along with that, it will possess a language translation service and augmented reality functionality that uses both the camera and the phone’s GPS.

How much of an appeal the LG V30s will have over the Galaxy S9 and S9+ is yet to be seen. The Galaxy devices will have a newer chipset, design and in all probability, better cameras. The LG V30s is also expected to be priced higher than the previous variants although, it is cheaper than the LG V30 Signature.

In a topsy-turvy build-up to MWC 2018, LG now appears to be gearing up for a launch. It was reported that the company would skip a launch at MWC because of the launch of the Galaxy S9 and S9+. There are reports that claim the company will launch the rumoured LG V30+ Alpha at MWC 2018.

The reports suggest the smartphone will be a product of the partnership between LG and Google with Google Assistant-based AI functions.

So far, we have seen different implementations of AI from different smartphone makers. If LG goes the Google route, it will be interesting to see if the LG V30+ Alpha will focus a lot on music. Since the Pixel 2 phones have the Now Playing feature, the LG V30+ Alpha could implement that feature, and along with its superior HiFi Quad DAC, the smartphone could be a music-oriented version of the 2017 flagship from LG.

Google also uses a lot of machine learning for its camera and has the best photography camera on the market right now. But, it seems highly improbable if the LG V30+ Alpha will come with such advanced machine learning capabilities that could potentially match up with the Pixel 2 devices. However, a tight integration of Google Assistant within the LG UI is a possibility or even a stock OS running LG V30+ Alpha could be announced.

LG And Huawei To Skip MWC 2018 Launch Because Of Samsung

Mobile World Congress is scheduled to take place from the 26th of February to 1st March 2018. Apart from concepts and futuristic phones, a lot of consumer-ready devices are expected to be announced as well. Without a doubt, the most anticipated launch is that of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Samsung is the biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world and the Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ are its marquee phones for 2018 (until the Galaxy Note9 is launched) hence, are expected to grab most of the headlines. Other smartphone makers like Sony and Xiaomi are also expected to announce their new flagship devices as well.

While some companies would bite the bullet and launch their smartphones around the same time the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will launch, LG and Huawei appear to have other plans. According to a report, Huawei P20 (tentatively named) and LG V30+ Alpha will not be announced at MWC as the companies feel the launch of Samsung’s flagship devices will grab the spotlight.

LG not announcing a flagship smartphone at MWC is not surprising since it is reported that the LG G7 will be completely reworked. This prompted the CEO to announce that the company will no longer follow the yearly smartphone release cycle. It was reported that the LG V30+ Alpha, an extension of the LG V30 will be launched at MWC 2018.

An LG spokesperson confirmed that the company has a few announcements planned for MWC, but, if there will be no flagship phone announcement planned, it would be interesting to see what LG has in store for us. It could be a foldable smartphone concept for all we know.

As for Huawei, there was a leak of the company’s roadmap which pegged the Huawei P20 for a Q2 2018 release hence, an MWC announcement of the device was a fair assumption. But, the Chinese smartphone maker has remained tight-lipped on its plan for the next P-series smartphone. Just like it did for the Mate 10 Pro, Huawei could host a launch event right after MWC to unveil the new smartphone but, this is all speculation as of now.

When Google launched the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL back in October, the company talked up their device’s AI capabilities. Apple, when it launched the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and the iPhone X also talked about the AI capabilities present in its A11 Bionic chipset. The two big names in the smartphone industry set the trend of machine learning taking centre stage at a smartphone launch and companies like Huawei have followed suit since then.

  • LG Launches The Rugged LG X4+

LG Launches The Rugged LG X4+

LG’s flagship smartphone lineup’s future might be a bit hazy right now but, the company still believes that it has a strong foothold in the budget segment. That is, in its native market. LG was expected to launch the LG G7 at either the CES 2018 or MWC 2018 but, it looks like the anticipated smartphone is quite a few months away from launch. A recent report claimed that the LG CEO has instructed his team to rework on the LG G7 and come up with a completely rehashed version of the flagship device.

While the flagship smartphone plans seem awry for LG, the budget segment is consistently being targeted. The company has now launched the ruggedly built LG X4+ in its native market for a price of US $280 (Rs. 17000 approx.).

The LG X4+ has a 5.3-inch IPS display with a 1280 x 720 px resolution. It has an aluminium unibody design which has become a norm for budget devices nowadays. The LG X4+ has a design reminiscent of 2016 mid-rangers as the industry moves toward a “thin bezels and tall display design.”

Under the hood, the LG X4+ is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset, Adreno 308 GPU for graphics, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. It is worth noting that the storage will be expandable via a microSD card. The LG X4+ has built-in Hi-Fi DAC (digital-analogue converter) which LG claims, will offer good sound quality.

The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back of the device, it is, however, not clear whether it also acts a lock and unlock button like some of LG’s other devices. LG has also introduced a feature called Finger Touch that will enable users to take selfies and screenshots by pressing the fingerprint sensor. The LG X4+ carries MIL-STD 810G rating and it’s certified in six categories including impact, vibration, high temperature, low temperature, thermal shock, and humidity.

The device is powered by a 3000 mAh battery and it runs Android 7 Nougat out of the box. It is baffling to see OEMs still launching smartphones with old software, irrespective of the price point.

The LG X4+ has a 13MP rear-facing camera and on the front is a 5MP sensor.

At a price of RS. 17,000 the LG X4+ is better off staying away from the Indian market. If LG were to launch this device in India, it’ll have to priced at around Rs. 10000 for it to even have a chance of competing. At this price point, not a lot of people look for ruggedness in their phones, it is more about the performance and with Snapdragon 425 chipset powering it, a price of Rs. 15000 or thereabouts would be too much.

  • LG CEO Wants Complete Overhaul Of LG G7

LG CEO Wants Complete Overhaul Of LG G7

The LG G7 has been a shadow of what the LG G6 was at the same time back in 2017. There have barely been any leaks, rumours or renders of the upcoming flagship smartphone from LG. The company’s smartphone business has not been doing well at all, after ten back-to-back quarterly losses and the eleventh to follow soon.

At CES 2018, LG came out and conceded that it needs to take major steps to turn the tide around for its smartphone business. Subsequently, a rebranding of the LG G series was rumoured and it appears that this move on the cards. According to a report, vice chairman and CEO of LG Electronics, Jo Seong-jin, has effectively cancelled the G6 successor and ordered the development team to completely overhaul the upcoming flagship.

This could also be a part of the company’s changing launch strategy. LG confirmed that it would move away from a traditional annual release strategy, instead retaining existing models over a longer lifespan with incremental variants to its G and V series.

The report, based on claims by an anonymous company insider, notes that this process of complete overhaul will push back the device’s launch until at least April. It further claims that these orders of revision were sent down to working-level officials right after CES concluded. The official also claims that the reasons to rehash the device are internal as well.

The internal speculation is that the company hasn’t been able to find a strong selling point for the G7 smartphone.

A push back to April means that the device will launch much after the Samsung Galaxy S9 and it might be a blessing in disguise for the company. This timeline will let LG use the Snapdragon 845 chipset for its upcoming device and with a refreshed design and new features, it might catch the attention of consumers as the craze of Galaxy S9, S9+ would’ve relatively decreased by then.

However, all of that will depend on what LG puts out instead of the LG G7 and whether it will be called the G7 or not is also a mystery now.

  • LG G7 Leaks Reveal Dual Front Cameras And No Bottom Bezels

LG G7 Leaks Reveal Dual Front Cameras And No Bottom Bezels

Early months of a year are usually dedicated to the hype around the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy ‘S’ series. Along with the Galaxy S9 and S9+ this year, the LG G7 is also expected to be launched in early-2018, most probably at MWC. Unlike the Galaxy S9, there haven’t been a lot of leaks or renders revealing the possible design of the upcoming smartphone.

A new leaked image, however, reveals what could be the LG G7. Two striking aspects of this image are the bottom bezel and the front-facing cameras. According to the image, LG will eliminate the bottom bezel from its next flagship smartphone while keeping a relatively thinner upper bezel.

So far, LG has had very good primary camera setup in its flagship smartphones but, it appears that LG will make a few changes in its front-facing camera module as well. The leaked image in question reveals that the LG G7 could have a front-facing dual-camera setup. It will be interesting to see how the company will implement the two cameras or whether it will be similar to the primary camera setup with a wide-angle secondary lens.

Other than the design, there was a hint on LG’s official website that the LG G7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset rather than the new Snapdragon 845 chipset. This is similar to the LG G6 situation as it was launched during the period when Samsung had exclusive access to the Snapdragon 835 chipset hence, the G6 was powered by the Snapdragon 821 chipset instead.

The launch of the LG G7 seems nigh, with MWC looming around, it will be interesting to see if the device is launched as the LG G7 or the company will rebrand it, as it was reported earlier.

  • LG V30 Raspberry Rose Colour Launched

LG V30 Raspberry Rose Colour Launched

LG announced the LG V30+ back in August during IFA 2017 in Berlin. While the device was slowly spread out to global markets after its initial launch in South Korea, the smartphone made its way to India in mid-December. In India, the V30+ is available in only two colours, Aurora Black and Cloud Silver while globally there are two more colour variants available, Moroccan Blue, and Lavender Violet.

However, right before CES 2018 went underway, the South Korean company announced a new colour variant of the LG V30, called Raspberry Rose. It is a shade of red which is different from other red coloured smartphones in the market and has a more violet-pink hue to it. Images of the new colour variant show that the colour of the smartphone shifts a bit when you when you move the phone around in your hand, similar to the HTC U11 Solar Red.

    [amazon_link asins=’B077V1KR9B’ template=’ProductAd’ store=’igyaan-21′ marketplace=’IN’ link_id=’1cb37623-f75a-11e7-a1bb-e9b36ab26e7f’]

In the ongoing trend of launching limited edition colour variants of popular smartphones a few weeks after its official launch, the LG V30+ in Raspberry Rose might not be a distant dream after all. Other smartphone makers like Xiaomi and OnePlus have already launched a limited edition red colour of their popular smartphones in India. Even Honor is gearing up to launch a red colour variant of the Honor 7X in India close to Valentines Day.

While a flashy new red colour exerts more impetus on consumers to buy a particular smartphone, it barely sways one person from a different device to that particular device. But, the Raspberry Rose appears to be a much better implementation of a “limited edition” colour than some of the other OEMs. In the same way that the Solar Red HTC U11 dazzled the consumers, the LG V30+ in the Raspberry Rose might convince a few consumers to opt for the LG flagship although, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are on the horizon.

  • LG G7 Could Be Powered By An Old Chipset

LG G7 Could Be Powered By An Old Chipset

The LG G6 was announced in February of 2017 with a disappointing omission in the specifications. At the time, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 was the latest flagship chipset and LG could’ve used the chip for its latest device but, it couldn’t. It all came down to an agreement between Samsung and Qualcomm wherein Samsung agreed to manufacture the Snapdragon 835 chipset but, demanded exclusive access the first few batches of the new chipset.

As a result, the LG G6 launched with the yesteryear’s Snapdragon 821 and the Galaxy S8 and S8+ launched in March, powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset. Most of the flagship smartphones of 2018 are expected to be powered by the new Snapdragon 845 chipset which is also being manufactured by Samsung. It looks like the deal will get the better of LG this year as well.

    [amazon_link asins=’B077V1KR9B’ template=’ProductAd’ store=’igyaan-21′ marketplace=’IN’ link_id=’a37510bd-f5ea-11e7-b562-29605e38f65e’]

A new listing on LG’s official website reveals its smartphones and the QuickCharge technology they support. It is well documented that Snapdragon 835 supports QuickCharge 4.0 while the new Snapdragon 845 chipset supports QuickCharge 4.0+. The LG G7 is mentioned in the QuickCharge 4.0 column which means that LG could launch its new 2018 flagship device with the now older, Snapdragon 835 chipset.

The Snapdragon 835 is not a bad chipset by any means and until a device with the Snapdragon 845 is released, it will remain the best performing chipset but, Samsung will launch Galaxy S9 and S9+ in February as well. This means that the LG G7 will be a “dated” smartphone when it launches.

There have not been many leaks or renders of the LG G7, proving once again that LG smartphones tend to fly under the radar. It is expected to have a tall 18:9 aspect ratio with thin bezels, a dual-camera setup at the back and Hi-Fi Quad DAC, just like the LG V30.

  • LG Launches Its First Ever 4K Projector

LG Launches Its First Ever 4K Projector

Companies usually wait for CES to launch new and exciting pieces of technology. LG, however, appears to be in no mood to wait for this year’s CES, as it has launched its first ever 4K projector, the HU80KA. LG claims the new UHD projector is almost half the size of its competition in the market and unlike other projectors which are “heavy, expensive, and difficult to install,” this one from LG is better.

LG is calling the HU80KA an “affordable, yet premium” 4K projector which can output a 150-inch picture on any wall in a house. The picture from this machine can get really bright as well, and the company claims that the HU80KA maxes out at 2500 lumens, which makes it the company’s brightest projector yet and puts it on par with what’s on the market today.

As far as positioning of the projector is concerned, it can be placed on the floor, mounted on the wall, or hung from the ceiling. Along with 4K resolution, there is also support for HDR video with HDR10. Just like a lot of other LG TVs, the projector runs WebOS, so most of the big streaming apps will come integrated out of the box. For sound, the projector has two 7-watt speakers built-in which might be enough depending on the room the projector is placed in.

LG has not revealed the price of the HU80KA yet which means that the rest of the details like price and availability will be revealed at CES 2018 which will take place from the 8th of January in Las Vegas.

  • LG To Rebrand The LG G7

LG To Rebrand The LG G7

In the tech world, consumers recognise a brand through years of sequential sub-brand products. Companies like Samsung and Apple have consistently launched smartphones in their ‘Galaxy’ and ‘iPhone’ lineup. LG, however, might be in the works of shaking things up a bit with its upcoming LG G7 (tentatively named) flagship smartphone.

    LG G6

An anonymous company official has conceded that the company is planning to rebrand its flagship ‘G’ lineup with the upcoming device expected to be launched at MWC 2018.

LG is preparing a new brand strategy for the G series in the first half of the year. Numbering the phone with a two-digit number and rebranding the phone with a new name are some of the options on the table.

This isn’t the first time that LG is renaming a phone from the company’s lineup. In 2012, LG launched the Optimus G and by 2013, just one year from the original launch, the company had decided to remove the ‘Optimus’ nomenclature and launched the subsequent smartphone with the ‘LG G2’ moniker. Similarly, the short-lived ‘Vu’ series was transformed into the ‘V’ series which was launched back in 2015.

Another company official from LG, while talking about the decision of rebranding, claimed that this decision on the cards:

Rebranding flagship models is nothing new, and Samsung and Apple have done so for their own flagships.

    LG G2

LG flagship phones have historically flown under the radar thanks to the popularity of the Samsung Galaxy ‘S’ lineup and Apple iPhones. LG is also known to not invest too much in its smartphones’ marketing, where Samsung and Apple rule the roost. However, while Apple and Samsung only changed the numbering of their phone lineup, simply jumping from iPhone 8 to iPhone X, and Samsung skipped the Note 6 to jump to Note 7, LG’s change seems to be more core level based. The company needs to create strength around its flagship phones and by choosing a newer name that may help the brand connect with consumer better is what LG probably needs. The current lineup of phones from the company, especially flagships have suffered from poor recall value of the brand. LG may be starting a new marketing strategy, or simply making the name more approachable.

While the next flagship phone from LG, presumed to be the LG G7 for now, is just around the corner, it will be followed up by the mega launch of the Galaxy S9 and the S9+ and LG might need an extremely sound strategy to stand out during the new launches. The LG G7 is expected to launch with updated specifications and compete with the likes of the Galaxy S9 in the early part of 2018.

The LG G7 is expected to maintain the 18:9 aspect ratio and presumably cut down on bezels compared to its older sibling, the LG G6. Unlike 2016, where the LG G6 was launched with the Snapdragon 821 instead of the Snapdragon 835, the LG G7 is expected to be launched with the Snapdragon 845, same as the Galaxy S9 and S9+. LG proved with the V30 that it can produce smartphones with great cameras and the G7 is expected to further improve on that aspect. 2018 will also see 6GB of RAM becoming the norm in Android phones and the LG G7 could be a part of the clan and launch with at least 6GB of RAM.

  • The LG V30+ Will Soon Get Android 8.0 Oreo Update

The LG V30+ Will Soon Get Android 8.0 Oreo Update

The LG V30 was launched back in August at IFA Berlin. After slowly pushing out the phone in the western market, the South Korean tech giant finally launched its ‘Plus’ variant in India. The ‘+’ in the LG V30+ signifies more storage than the regular V30. The LG V30+ currently runs Android 7.1 Nougat with LG’s own custom skin on top.

    [amazon_link asins=’B077V1KR9B’ template=’ProductAd’ store=’igyaan-21′ marketplace=’IN’ link_id=’fab7c0f4-eac6-11e7-b789-5339f3e9ee8e’]

Now, the LG V30 in South Korea has started receiving the much-awaited Android 8.0 Oreo update and a roll-out to other countries is not far away. This could be another reason why people might be drawn towards the LG V30+ in India since devices like the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are still running Android 7.1 Nougat with no signs of an Android 8.0 Oreo update.

The LG V30+ has a 6 inch 2880 x 1440 px OLED FullVision display, LG’s first, with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. LG’s nearly edge-to-edge OLED display has HDR 10 format for a high level of colour contrast and as announced, the smartphone is Daydream compatible.

A big omission from the V30+ is the secondary display, which was a signature in the previous V series devices. Instead, LG has introduced a Floating Bar which displays shortcuts and can be disabled when not required.

The LG V30+ has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, a 2.4GHz octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card. The LG V30+ has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and MIL-STD 810G rating for durability.

The LG V30+ is powered by a 3300mAh battery with wireless fast charging which supports 3.0 quick charge. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.2 with LG’s UX 6.0+ on top which offers a few customisation options.

The LG V30+ incorporates a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC powered by Bang & Olufsen with few sound presets like enhanced, detailed, bass and live. The smartphone also has support for Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology for high-resolution audio streaming.

Aside from the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which also doubles as a home button, LG has introduced few new security features in the LG V30+ such as facial and voice recognition. The voice recognition will even work along with the music playback.

The LG V30+ features a dual-camera setup at the back. As LG had announced, this smartphone has the first ever inbuilt camera unit to feature a 16MP crystal clear lens made of glass with an f/1.6 aperture and another 13MP wide angle lens with an f/1.9 aperture. The camera features laser detection AF, optical image stabilisation and electronic image stabilisation. On the front side, the LG V30+ sports a 5MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

  • The LG V30+ Vs The Competition

The LG V30+ Vs The Competition

LG finally launched the LG V30+ in India after globally unveiling it back in August. To many’s surprise, LG competitively priced the LG V30+ at Rs. 44990 and it will go on sale in India via Amazon on the 18th of December. But, as we move closer to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S9 which will, in all probability feature the new Snapdragon 845, has LG missed a trick and launched the V30+ a little too late?

let’s peg the LG V30+ against its competition and see which phone comes out on point:

Specifications LG V30+ OnePlus 5T Samsung Galaxy S8 Samsung Galaxy Note8

In terms of specifications, there is very little separating the three phones, with the OnePlus 5T the clear winner if you’re looking for more RAM. The LG V30+ and Galaxy S8 provide the option of expandable storage while the OnePlus 5T runs close to pure Android OS. If you are an audiophile, then the LG V30+ should be your choice considering the presence of the HiFi Quad DAC. The OnePlus 5T loses out in the display department and thanks to a higher ppi count, the Galaxy S8 should have the most vivid display out of the three with the LG V30+ not far behind. If you are a creator and believe that the S Pen can genuinely contribute to the productivity of your day, then the extra cash for the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is justified.

At the end of the day, it boils down to what features you prefer over the other. If price is your main criteria, then the OnePlus 5T wins by a long shot but, if you can’t compromise on your wide-angle shots, then the Galaxy Note8 and LG V30+ should be the two phones you should consider.

    Unboxing The LG V30+

The LG V30+ has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 44990. The LG V30+ marks the end of 2017 flagship smartphones launch in India and faces steep competition from the likes of the Galaxy S8+, Galaxy Note8 and the Apple iPhone X. Does the last true flagship of 2017 live up to the hype and expectations? Let’s unbox the device and find out.

    Initial Impressions

The global variant of the LG V30+ retails with a pair of Bang & Olufsen earphones but, the Indian variant has the LG branded earphones which might be disappointing for some people. The LG v30+ feels like a flagship device with an ergonomic fit and the built quality. It has a glass sandwich design with a metal frame around it. The display goes almost edge-to-edge and the corners of the display are curved which is extremely pleasing to the eye.

It has a tall display and despite the slimmed down bezels, it might not be ideal for one-handed usage. The fingerprint sensor is quick and accurate although a rear-mounted lock/unlock button doesn’t seem like the ideal position.

    Specifications

The LG V30+ has a 6 inch 2880 x 1440 px OLED FullVision display, LG’s first, with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. LG’s nearly edge-to-edge OLED display has HDR 10 format for a high level of colour contrast and as announced, the smartphone is Daydream compatible.

A big omission from the V30+ is the secondary display, which was a signature in the previous V series devices. Instead, LG has introduced a Floating Bar which displays shortcuts and can be disabled when not required.

The LG V30+ has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, a 2.4GHz octa-core processor, GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.
