After much hype and speculation, reputed electric carmaker Tesla has launched the Model Y, its newest electric Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) on the 14th of March. It is the fifth car ever launched from the company and is only the second mass-market electric vehicle by the company since it was founded in the year 2003. It will be capable of charging the Model 3 at the rate of a whopping 250kW, adding another extra 75 miles of range in just about 5 minutes. According to multiple reports, Tesla CEO Elon Musk was talking up the company’s custom AI chips at machine learning conference NIPS, telling attendees that Tesla is “developing specialized AI hardware that we think will be the best in the world.”
