DOMO has launched the Slate X14 tablet for Rs. 4,990, targeting students. The DOMO Slate X14 comes with 7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, and has a Mali 400 GPU with 512 MB of RAM. The dimensions of the Slate X14 121 x 182 x 10 (mm) and weighs in at 270 grams. It features 4GB of built-in storage which can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of a micro SD card. The tablet runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Flash support.

As first rumored earlier this month, HP has officially confirmed its intentions to re-enter the tablet market following the HP TouchPad debacle by officially announcing the Slate 7 Android tablet, a 7-inch Android tablet meant to undercut Google’s own Nexus 7 for $169.99 with the launch slated for April.
The specs match up with the Nexus 7 in most areas although the two most important parts were sadly forgotten. Those being the processor, and the screen resolution.

Apple has just sent out invites for a “Special Event” to be held on Oct 23rd, supposedly announcing the new iPad Mini. While its only been a couple of weeks since when the iPhone 5 was launched Apple has still got a lot more up its sleeve.
While the iPad Mini has been leaked all over the internet, there are more rumors of various other products being launched. Alongside the iPad Mini, Apple will also reportedly update the Macbook Pro 13 inch and offer a retina version of the laptop. A new Mac Mini, revised Cinema displays and iMac are also long overdue.

Expected? perhaps not. While investment companies and strategy officials were busy down ranking the Amazon fire tablet. Amazon seems to have pulled a Witwicky with the results of first day preorders. The company has reportedly snagged orders over 95,000 for a device that they are yet to start selling.
While playing the numbers game isn’t safe in the tablet scenario, RIM sold a total of 200,000 Playbooks, Apple on the other hand sold over 300,000 on the day of order commencement. So being able to sell 100,000 of a tablet that is priced at 199$ is not a difficult task to do.
Amazon has also announced today its plans to launch a Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet, the device will have a 7 inch multitouch display with Amazon Silk Graphics. The device will officially launch on the 15th of November. The main aspects of the device are a dual core processor, color multitouch display and the fact that its based on Android.

The Device is one of the first tablets to show instances of Honeycomb 3.2 in person, But don’t fall easy for the cheap price tag, you will need to tie yourself in a deal with the ISP for a long and problematic contract.
