Micromax has been lambasted by consumers in the past for not following up with software updates for their devices. That might change soon.
A tweet by regular @MMXNewscaster reveals an image of the Canvas HD A116 running the recently revealed Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. If true, this would please all Micromax consumers.

Leading up to Google’s I/O event, there were a lot of rumors indicating that we would see the unveiling of Android version 4.3 rather than 5.0. However, during the keynote, Google ended up not addressing a new version of Android at all. Instead, they chose to focus on updating individual apps and APIs separate from the operating system.
Today we get a first-hand look at the software in action, with a number of images appearing to show Android 4.3 running on a Nexus 4. The image was taken at the Thailand Mobile Expo and posted on the XDA Developers forum.
Nexus owners may have a reason to stay up tonight, as a couple of Reddit users report that Android 4.2.2 has begun rolling out to the GSM Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 7. This is a release Google was rumoured to start shipping in Brazilian Nexus 4?s over a month ago, but nothing ever came of that assertion.
The report mentions that the update is being rolled out to select devices, carrying the JDQ39 build number.Â
We had earlier reported that the update is expected to roll out by the mid of February, so it doesn’t really come as a surprise that Google has started seeding it out.
Micromax was the first Indian Mobile phone manufacturer to make a global mark, a year and some months ago they introduced their first Android Phone the Andro A60, which changed the face of Android phones in India.Â
Today the company stands at a different crossroad in between their future as a brand, with a new identity, and what they possibly aim to achieve. They have a long way to go to achieve the brand snob value they wish to achieve. The consumer feedback speaks of the lack of unique products from the company and more importantly the lack of after sales support. Micromax is today considered a glorified [...]
The developers who initially bought Android to the touchpad have a glimpse of what is to come. The CM9 build for HP Touchpad is almost ready and the developer has released a video showing it off. There are still a few bugs in the system, like camera and video playback not working. But the dev assures everything else works smoothly. The video goes on to demonstrate that Angry Birds plays great on the Touchpad on ICS.
Check out the Video Below.

Proud owner of the Samsung Galaxy Note? This should interest your anxious thought process. A new rom based on CM9 will give your Note the most anticipated ICS update well ahead of schedule. The Rom will not retain full pen functionality and all of the S-Pen input is currently not available. This build is also lacking a working camera app and Bluetooth radio functionality. Either way a ROM with more stabler features can be expected soon.Â
The one thing to note is that Samsung will soon release their updates for ICS Â to their own Android device arsenal, this will also include an update for the Galaxy Note, which will [...]
While big smartphones struggle to get their fix of Google’s new OS. Folks over at MadTeam, the ones that got us the original Cyanogen on the Galaxy 5, have managed to port over Android’s new baby Ice Cream Sandwich to the Galaxy 5. Although the port is not complete and is not recommended for daily use, infact basic functionality of the device is broken. Check out the list below.

Got yourself a curvalicious Nexus S? Then you might fancy yourself a Ice Cream Sandwich. According to a tweet from the GoogleNexus team early last night, Google will now begin pushing ICS updates to lucky Nexus S owners. The information was also available on Goole+

The Galaxy Nexus got priced at a whopping US $ 750 which equals way over 35,poo Indian, to be a bit more precise, somewhere in the 37,500 mark. Does this mean a mass slaughter for hopes of all aiming to buy the galaxy Nexus?Â
The device has been on the Holiday wish-list of many a folk since the day it was announced. A price that high would really diminish expectant sales of the Galaxy Nexus. If Samsung India really wants to capture the market with this Google Phone then trust us Sammy, a price close to 30,000 would win a lot of Indian Hearts. We are no experts when it comes to market analysis (or are we) But Samsung has [...]
