With their sales dipping year after year, HTC might just call it quits in the Indian market. The company has been facing a bit of trouble across its global markets and are struggling to keep their sales figures up as well. In a recent report by the Economic Times, the resignation of Country Head Faisal Siddiqui, Sales Head Vijay Balachandran and Product Head R Nayyar has left the Indian arm of the company in dire straits. In a stunning move, the company has asked around 70 to 80 of its Indian employees to leave the company with only Chief Financial Officer Rajeev Tayal staying behind after the three key members’ resignation. Although the company could halt all Indian operations [...]
After numerous leaks and rumors, the newest member of the HTC One family has been officially introduced.Â
These haven’t been kind times for HTC. The Taiwanese handset maker’s phones are operating in the shadow of Samsung’s Galaxy devices, not to mention Apple’s popular iPhone.
HTC hopes to change that reality with the brand new flagship HTC One that the company unveiled Tuesday at events staged at the same time in New York and London.
The HTC One is made of a uni-body aluminium that looks incredibly solid and suave. None of this should come as surprise, as HTC is known for its stunning hardware to begin with, and the HTC One takes [...]
There are but a few days left before HTC officially announces the flagship Android device, the HTC One, so that means there’s time for last minutes leaks and rumors. The latest, as you can tell from the headline, is that a render of the black version of the smartphone is now online.
Here’s another look at the much-rumoured HTC One, this time in a black casing. The leak comes at the same time as a source says the handset will go on sale on March 22 in the US.
The press shot seems to confirm what we’ve already seen – including two buttons below the screen instead of the regular three – but in a black finish instead of the silver one already [...]
HTC may not be happy with the lastest leak hitting the rumor mill today. According to Android Authority, an internal security breach has exposed the codenames for 35 smartphone models.
While some of these phones have already been revealed (the Deluxe model was released as the HTC Butterfly, for example), there’s a few that stand out to us.
One of the main nuggets to pull out of this list is the eight variations of the HTC M7, a phone we’ve heard rumblings of before. Previously we had heard that the phone will sport a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm [...]
For the second day, Samsung has been named the new leader. After Tuesday unseating Nokia as the top cellphone maker in 2012, the Galaxy vendor today topped HTC as the Android maker which gets most used to access mobile ads. According to ad firm Millennial, Samsung had 46 percent of Android app use, double the 26 percent of 2011.
Meanwhile, HTC plummeted from 32% to 16%, while Moto dropped from 22% to 11%. This is a massive change.
Samsung has been producing hit after hit with its Galaxy line of handsets, with the [...]
HTC has started rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for its flagship phone HTC One X.
HTC One X owners in the UK, Russia, India, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, and other areas should be able to download the update over-the-air now. And it should come to other regions imminently, according to a source at HTC.

So what does the update bring to your phone? The user interface is faster, with speedier switches of orientation from portrait to landscape. You’ll also be able to switch between apps [...]
