There are but a few days left before HTC officially announces the flagship Android device, the HTC One, so that means there’s time for last minutes leaks and rumors. The latest, as you can tell from the headline, is that a render of the black version of the smartphone is now online.
Here’s another look at the much-rumoured HTC One, this time in a black casing. The leak comes at the same time as a source says the handset will go on sale on March 22 in the US.
The press shot seems to confirm what we’ve already seen – including two buttons below the screen instead of the regular three – but in a black finish instead of the silver one already [...]
On Twitter this today reputable device leaker EVLeaks posted an image that is said to be the HTC One. This looks similar in design to previous HTC devices (Legend, Hero, One X) and clearly has a couple speakers. HTC also declared that 2013 will see a “new sound and camera experience” embedded into their devices. If the leaked image is legit, the HTC One does look a lot similar to the recently released Blackberry Z10.
Earlier @evleaks, which has been spot on about every product it has spoken about, the upcoming HTC M7 will be coming to market merely as the HTC One.
According to trusted source @evleaks, which has been spot on about every product it has spoken about, the upcoming HTC M7 will be coming to market merely as the HTC One.
This is just a rumour, so it’s far from definite. But @evleaks does have a good track record of breaking news before it’s official. And Peter Chou did shout “HTC One!” straight after “M7!” at the company do. Maybe he was referring to last year’s range of mobiles, or maybe he was giving us a hint of the M7’s new name.
The lack of a [...]
HTC is rumoured to launch its M7 flagship at a huge event in New York City on February 19th. In addition to a 1080p display and a super-fast 1.7Ghz quad-core chip, the company plans to improve its digital imaging reputation by replacing megapixels with ultrapixels.
In theory, the new name is likely just marketing speak, but the idea here is similar to what we saw in Nokia’s PureView 808: interpolation. The plan is to take take three layers of 4.3MP sensors and combine pixels into a comparably smaller-sized shot that is less noisy, especially in low-light situations.
Ever woken up the day after a killer party and everyone but you knows you messed up last night? HTC CEO Peter Chou might be that guy when he wakes up, unless he intentionally showed off the new HTC M7 smartphone just a few days before the official launch.
The cordial and savvy CEO was seen taking photos of a crowd during a news broadcast, and though we don’t see much detail of the white version of the phone, we’re happy to see it. The HTC M7 is expected to come in both black and white at launch, and may be released in early March according to the latest rumours.
Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is reportedly gearing up for the release of new Android-based handsets in the near future, including the newly leaked HTC M4 and HTC G2 smartphones, which will complement the previously spotted HTC M7, it seems.
These could very well be announced at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in a few weeks. First up is the “M4? – a device that will come with specs just under the M7 – and sport a 4.3-inch 720p display, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, 13MP camera and a 1.6MP front-facing camera, 1,700 mAh battery, plus run Android OS [...]
HTC is prepping a new flagship Android phone for launch, new reports have suggested, with a rumoured HTC M7 release date pegged for early 2013.
According to Focus Taiwan, HTC plans to stage a huge comeback in 2013, focusing on a few core products. This time it intends to actually sell them, ordering up to five million M7 devices from its manufacturing partners.
Such a device would have to be plenty powerful and plenty beautiful, right? The M7 is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 screen, a 1.5Ghz quad-core APQ8064 SoC, 2GB RAM and 13MP [...]
