In the month of February, the Chinese electronics giant, Huawei unveiled the revolutionary Mate X which is the company’s first foldable smartphone. Earlier this month, Huawei released a statement declaring that the commercial availability of the innovative device has been delayed to September which was previously set for June. A freshly granted patent to the Huawei suggests that the company might already be working on the Mate X successor that has an updated design.

In the month of February, Chinese tech titan, Huawei launched the world’s first 5G foldable smartphone which is called the Huawei Mate X. Apparently, the device competes against the Galaxy Fold from Samsung which has an inner folding design. The device was set to go on sale starting 26 April, however, due to some technical issues the launch of the device was delayed for an undefined period. Samsung surprised the world on February 20 when it unveiled the Galaxy Fold, its first foldable smartphone. Some other OEM’s like Huawei and Nubia, have already promised to show off a foldable device at the Mobile World Congress(MWC) 2019 in Barcelona.
