Lenovo has overthrown homegrown Micromax and become the number two smartphone manufacturer in the country just behind Samsung, who don’t seem to be having a good time either. Xiaomi has also climbed up to the fourth spot behind Micromax thanks to their new offline sales models.
While the Smartphone market in India has grown 25%  many hown-grown brands have suffered market share losses due to lack of innovation and high yield costs. Research firm Canalys reports that Huawei has replaced Xiaomi as the number one manufacturer of smartphones in China, a first for Huawei to have topped the ranking. While Xiaomi’s sales declined, Huawei’s increased by an 81% over the last one year. Though Canalys didn’t share the exact details, the firm says other details will be made available by the end of this month.
