Galaxy S6 vs S7: What’s Changed?2015 was a spectacular year for Samsung. Just as the day unfolds, Samsung India has confirmed the launch of its two new flagships the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in the country on 8th of March. Rumors that pointed us to a launch prior to 10th of March were clearly on track.
The Korean giant rests its year-long launches on the powerful flagships it launches each year beginning. The Samsung Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 Edge, and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus paved the way for Samsung in 2015, and the company wants to start quickly with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
Price wise it seems that the corporation may have to deal with many a grunt when the phones, which now offer expandable storage, may be launched close [...]
Sources close to iGyaan have suggested that the much-anticipated Galaxy S7 flagship smartphones will only come in ‘edge’ form. This means that you might not see a flat S7 device at all.
This latest rumour brings in line with what past renders of the S7 have revealed. The 5.1 Galaxy S7 will likely come in the form of last year’s Galaxy Note 5 where the sides curve at the back. Meanwhile, the 5.5-inch S7 Edge will have curved edges at the front and so will the 5.7-inch S7 Edge+. The video of the render shows the front design of the S7 having narrower side bezels, 2.5D glass covering the display and the Home Button.
The move to curved-only [...]
One of the coolest, and most loved things about the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus when it launched was the inclusion of Live Photos. A really fun feature to use, it helps you click photos with short video clips just, and after the photo so that you can immerse yourself in the emotion of the photograph whenever you look at it.
It’s a fun feature, but not something ground-breaking that we expected Android to bring to their devices, but such is the lack of ingenuity in the smartphone market these days that we have Samsung’s already porting the idea on to their next flagship.
According to reports, Samsung is planning to bring a Live Photos-like feature [...]
Samsung is on course to unveil its Galaxy S7 flagship devices at next month’s Mobile World Conference. While the many, many rumors about the device have mostly surrounded the specs, which have pretty much been confirmed now thanks to an AnTuTu listing yesterday, not much has been spoken or even hinted at regarding the design.
But a new 3D renders of the device, designed by 3D designer Jermaine Smith, have surfaced that show what the flagship device could look like. The renders are of the 5.1-inch Galaxy S7 handset. The renders including the video show the device with curved sides at the back, much like the Galaxy Note 5. The 5.5-inch S7 Edge will have curved edges at the [...]
The latest update in the series of rumours regarding the Samsung Galaxy S7 flagship devices says the devices will be waterproof. They are also expected to arrive with an IP67 rating which makes them dustproof as well.
Additionally, they will also have larger batteries that would make them last longer than their predecessors. The S7 will come equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery while the S7 Edge will be marked at 3,600 mAh. The S6 and S6 Edge have 2,550 mAh and 2,600 mAh battery capacities respectively. While the S7 batteries are the best Samsung has offered so far in its flagship, they would not be user-replaceable. But you can still expect the S7 to charge wirelessly in 2 [...]
According to emerging reports, Samsung could announce the release of the Galaxy S7 as early as January 2016. The reason behind this unprecedented announcement is not known but presumably the company wants to jump ahead of its competition, especially Apple, that will allow customers to purchase the S7 right away.
Generally, Samsung has followed an April release for its flagship smartphones. The upcoming flagship is being developed either under the codename Project Lucky (it’s the number 7 after all) or Hero and Hero2. It will come in two models with one to feature Qualcomm’s new quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor [...]
Reports suggest that Samsung is already working on its next device – the Galaxy S7. A leak from Korea says that this new device might come with a Snapdragon 820 chipset.
Samsung has previously created its own processor due to the heating troubles of the Snapdragon 810. So, most of its devices, like the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5, are powered by the Exynos processor and have been successful till now. Let’s see whether the change in the processor will improve the quality of their devices.
