Sony has launched their new Smartphone the Xperia ion in India for a price of Rs 35,999. The smartphone currently runs on Android 4.0 ICS and should easily get an Update for Jelly Bean later this year, although the company is mum on the situation.

This launch comes soon after the brand brought its line of mid- range XperiaTM smartphones – Neo L and Go to India last month. While XperiaTM neo L and Go are already available, users can get hold the XperiaTM ion starting today. Available in retail stores across India, the all new smartphone comes with an exciting offer for Airtel mobile customers.
