Samsung was one of the first companies to launch a foldable smartphone. The Galaxy Fold was first introduced in February 2019 and had a scheduled launch date set later in April. Unfortunately, the commercial availability of the device has since been delayed due to multiple instances of malfunctioning caused by a premature release.

A new report claims that HMD Global is planning to unveil two new Nokia smartphones with 5G capabilities. The handsets are currently being developed with the rumours of a Q3 launch in 2019. The Mobile World Congress or MWC will kick off on the 25th of February 2019. Â This years show is primarily focused on 5G. Â 5G has also been the focus of the tech industry since mid 2018. This year however, there may finally be devices that will support the fifth generation of mobile networks aka 5G.
