If you were waiting for the Android Wear based smartwatches then your wait is over. Samsung has released its Android smartwatch OS based Galaxy Gear Live at the Play Store for Rs15,900.

While Android fragmentation continues with Jelly Bean being announced just 6 months away from the ICS update. Android owners have started to shift to ICs with most companies now offering ICS updates for the devices.
While Gingerbread still remains at the top with 64 % of the Android base. GFroyo follows by 17.3 %, and Google’s recently announced Jelly Bean update was not included in this stat.

Intex has just launched their new iTab (names don’t get any better than this). The new iTab priced at Rs. 11990 features a poor capacitive two point touch, with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which appears to be customized in the images.
Under the hood is a 1 GHz cortex A8 core processor, an 8GB internal memory , Wi-Fi, GPS, 360 degree G-Sensor and a 5000 mAh battery. You can get 3G using the Intex 3G dongle on the USB 2.0 port. Still rocking Froyo or Gingerbread devices that fail to stream in HD? Fret no more, the new app update from YouTube will bring HD res YouTube streams to all those devices. Although Honeycomb and ICS devices have been rocking this for some time now, the new app now allows streaming on all those devices that were left out.
Still not all devices will be able to enjoy this app as the update is dependent on screen size and resolution. Alternatively you can find the .apk online and install it! which may or may not work for you.

Mobile network carrier Orange will be the first to offer an Intel Medfield powered Android phone to Europe. Codenamed Santa Clara, the 4-inch 600 x 1024 display device will release this summer. The device has an impressive 8-megapixel camera capable of 1080p video and burst capture of up to 10 shots within a second.
The “Santa Clara” (not final name) runs on Intel’s Atom Z2460 processor, clocked at 1.6GHz. Running on Android 2.3 with a promised ICS update, from Orange. HSPA speeds of 21.1Mbps down and 5.6Mbps up, and an MHL port that also has HDMI out.

Samsung has announced its updated projector phone dubbed the ‘Galaxy Beam’. The Beam comes with Android 2.3 and a 1GHz dual-core CPU, and is equipped with an integrated projector of 15 lumen brightness. The Beam also has 4-inch WVGA screen 8GB of onboard storage and 768 MB of RAM , along with a 2000 mAh battery to keep it going. The Galaxy Beam can supposedly rock a 50 inch wide projection in a nice low light environment.

Samsung has taken it up its alley to release new phones every fortnight. The new Ace 2 and Mini 2 are two very suitable revisions to popular and successful first versions. Ace 2 specs include a dual-core 800MHz processor, HSDPA 14.4 connectivity, GPS/GLONASS, 1,500mAh battery and 4GB of internal storage and a 3.8-inch WVGA screen. The mini 2 on the other hand has HSDPA 7.2Mbps connectivity, an 800MHz CPU, 1,300mAh battery and 3.27-inch HVGA screen.

LG has released the Optimus VU smartphone in Korea on saturday, that truly banks in on the success of the Samsung Galaxy Note, because of the large screen size and included Stylus pen. The device also features a nice 4×3 aspect ratio, 1024×768 resolution screen, which has a stylus friendly 5-inch IPS LCD display. The phone is also extremely slim at just 8.5mm thickness.
