American technology giant Google has announced the Glass Enterprise Edition 2 in a blog post. The smart wearable was announced on the 20th of May and is the successor to the original Glass Enterprise Edition launched in the year 2017. The product focusses towards workers in certain industries that assemble intricate products and boasts of improving efficiency and precision in areas where it is required the most. It is touted as a considerable upgrade over its predecessor with improvements in performance, camera and usability.

Google Glass launched back in 2012 with a lot of promises. The tech that the smart glasses offered was ahead of its time but didn’t connect well with the audience. The Google Glass was a flop in the consumer market. Google then tuned the Glasses into an Enterprise model, where it found decent success. These Glasses were meant for better focus and faster completion of tasks in the workers of Enterprises. Looks like Google is all set to release the next iteration of the Glasses. As reports previously suggest, Google Glass is making a comeback with a new pair of spectacles. The latest news, is that Google Glass 2 is actually being tested quietly in various workplaces. Reports also say, that the new version is already being used in “industries such as health care, manufacturing and energy.”
