Unreleased Google Pixel 3 Lite Captured Next To Pixel 3

With each passing day, more leaks about the unreleased Google Pixel 3 Lite appear online. The Google Pixel 3 Lite was first spotted in the source code of Android 9.0 Pie. The device was referred to as Google Sargo in the source code. The device will be a cheaper variant of Google’s flagship Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL smartphones. Previously, a Russian leaker, Rozetked shared the specifications and camera shots from the alleged Pixel 3 Lite. Now, another famous leaker from Twitter who goes by the name of Ben Geskin has shared an image fo the device with the Pixel 3.

    Pictured With The Pixel 3

Ben Geskin is a concept designer who has also leaked unreleased smartphones in the past. Due to the past leaks, the trustability factor of this being a real device is quite high. The alleged Pixel 3 Lite has a similar design as the Pixel 3. The device has thick bezels on the top and bottom, while the left and right bezels are quite thin. The top bezel of the smartphone houses the front-facing camera and the earpiece. Sadly, the upcoming smartphone does not have a secondary front facing camera like the elder sibling. The device, however, is a tad bit taller than the Pixel 3 and also is a bit less wide.

The leak from last week suggests that the smartphone has a 5.56 inch LCD display with a 2220 x1080 px resolution and a pixel density of 443 ppi. The Pixel 3 Lite features an Octa-Core Snapdragon 670 SoC. The smartphone is powered by a 2,95 mAh battery, but information regarding fast charging is currently unavailable. The smartphone, according to the previous leak, has 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM. And beings a Pixel device, will most probably miss out on the option of memory expansion. Sources claim that the smartphone will be a much more affordable Pixel device and will have a price tag of under $ 500.

In conclusion, all the leaks strongly suggest that the launch of the device is imminent. But, Google is yet to make any comments about the authenticity of the leaks or the launch date of the smartphone.

  • Google Pixel 3 Lite Pictures And Specifications Leaked

Google Pixel 3 Lite Pictures And Specifications Leaked

Google launched the Pixel 3 and Pixel3 XL last month. Both the phones were leaked in full glory prior to their official launch. The devices were leaked by a leaker from Russia with username Rozetked on twitter. Now however, he has leaked yet another Pixel device. He claims that the device codenamed ‘Sargo’ is, in fact, the Pixel 3 Lite smartphone. Rumors have been surfacing over the internet that Google might launch a cheaper, low-end variant of their flagship Pixel devices. Hence the chances of this leak turning into reality are considerably high.

    Pixel 3 Lite

In terms of looks, the alleged Pixel 3 Lite sure resembles the elder Pixel 3. It has a rounded edge display with thick bezels both on bottom and top. The device has a similarly designed back panel to the Pixel 3 devices with a center mounted fingerprint sensor and the single camera with an LED flash. Also, the color and placement of the power button and volume rockers match the Pixel 3.

The bottom of the Pixel 3 XL lite houses the USB Type-C charging port and has thin slits which are most probably the cutouts for the loudspeaker and microphone. The smartphone surprisingly has a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the top which its elder siblings lag.

    Pixel 3 Lite Specs

Rozotked has also leaked the full spec sheet of the Pixel 3 XL Lite. According to the leak, it has a 5.56 display with a resolution of 2220 x 1080 px and a pixel density of 444 ppi. Under the hood, the device packs the Octa-Core Snapdragon 670 CPU along with the Adreno 615 GPU. In terms of memory and storage, the smartphone has 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Like other Pixel devices, the smartphone does not support memory expandability.

The Pixel 3 Lite is powered by a 2,915 mAh battery. Any information regarding fast charging is currently unavailable but the chipset supports Quick Charge 4.o. Therefore, we will have to wait until the official announcement if the device makes it to the market. The leaker suggests that the phone will be a sub 500$ smartphone and a Pixel device at this price point will be an interesting option.

  • Google Pixel 3 Users Report Multiple Issues

Google Pixel 3 Users Report Multiple Issues

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices are the latest flagship smartphones by the tech giant. Google launched the devices a few weeks back. They carry on the legacy of Pixel devices with great camera performance and the best stock Android experience. However, it is not all smooth sailing for the Pixel devices as a lot of users are now complaining about various issues in the phone.

    Camera Problems

One of the most common complaints by users is that their Pixel 3 device is not saving they pictures they take. A lot of users on Reddit, are claiming so. With the Pixel series being well known for its excellent camera performance, this feature puts a blot on that image. But, a few users have said that this is due to the Doze Battery feature. Disabling this feature has fixed the problem for some users.

Continuing with issues related to the camera, users have also reported poor audio quality while recording video. Users complain that the audio seems to be of a low quality and has poor output. However, this does seem pretty unlikely. Google laid a lot of emphasis on the fact that they have made several enhancements in the audio recording capability of the Pixel 3. They aim to reduce background noise while enhancing dialogue or what is being spoken.

    Performance Issues

Issues have appeared in terms of performance as well as a lot of users are complaining about Memory Management in the Pixel 3. Apparently, the device is killing off apps which are running in the background to free up RAM. This includes music and podcasts apps which are closing without any warning. This could be due to the fact that the Pixel 3 has only 4 GB of RAM which isn’t really something seen in flagship devices in 2018. Additionally, users also complain about the device failing to automatically connect to Wi-Fi networks even when they are in range. Users have also complained about speed drop issues in the Wi-Fi network.

As of now, there has been no word from Google about these issues though quite a number of people are talking about it. We hope Google can solve the issues via an OTA update. Not counting these issues, the Pixel 3 is arguably the best camera smartphone out there with a smooth user experience.

  • Google Camera App APK Available For Download

Google Camera App APK Available For Download

It has just been a few hours since the Pixel 3 and 3 XL launch and we are seeing the Google Camera app APK popping up on the internet. The APK won’t have all the features that a Pixel 3 device can utilise and most devices haven’t been listed in the Google Camera Port list yet.

    What’s different?

The first thing that one notices is the redesigned UI. Swiping right opens up options for slow motion, Panorama, Photo Sphere, Portrait, AR Stickers, Lens and Settings. Instead of appearing as a list, it now appears as round icons on the bottom half of the screen. The bottom half also has the Camera, Video and More options. This looks much cleaner and makes it easier to swap between modes easily and quickly. The Panorama mode has arrows instead of dots which many phones like the Oneplus 6 already use. Top Shot and Night Sight will only work on Pixel devices but most features other than that are usable on other devices as well.

Here is a before/after photo of the camera app as published by a developers website and these are the changes:

The Pixel 3 will start at $799 and £739. The 3 XL starts at $899 and £869. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have a 5.5-inch and 6.3-inch display respectively. They are available in 64GB and 128GB storage options. Many are speculating if the 4GB RAM would be enough for a flagship device. The Snapdragon 845 chip is a welcome change to see. Of all the features that got consumers excited about, the Google Camera app and dual front cameras drew significant attention. It will be great to see if the new app and it’s AI are able to improve image quality in future.

The Pixel camera hardware features a 12-megapixel sensor with autofocus, dual pixel phase detection, OIS, EIS, f/1.8 aperture. On the front, it has dual 8-megapixel cameras with one wide angle lens for selfies. Google Pixel Slate, Pixel Stand and Home hub were some of the best devices at the show.  Let us know what you think about the new Pixel 3 and 3XL in the comments below!

  • Top 5 Most Awaited Upcoming Smartphones

Top 5 Most Awaited Upcoming Smartphones

The smartphone industry has been growing at an unprecedented rate. With cut-throat competition, manufacturers are making breakthroughs almost every few months. For some, it is the  battle to be on the top and for the others, it is the war to survive. So, we take you through the top smartphones which are set to launch soon. The specifications are based on various leaks and the official specs will only be revealed after the launch of the devices.

    Google Pixel 3

The upcoming flagship devices from Google is one of the most and least anticipated phones. The reason being that even though they will be great devices, a series of leaks have laid the devices bare before us. With unboxing videos and reviews doing rounds of the vast internet, the only thing which is possibly left to know is the price. The Google Pixel series is the only one to have stuck to a single lens camera setup, even in 2019. This does not make the devices dated or dull the camera performance.

The Google Pixel 2 has one of the best smartphone cameras out there, despite the fact that it has been an year since its launch. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will continue to carry what has now become a signature single camera setup. However, Google has given in to another trend from the smartphone industry. The infamous notch. The larger, Google Pixel 3 XL has a huge notch while the Pixel 3 will sport a more conventional design.

Both the devices will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. The phones will have a 5.4 inch  display. Both pixel phones will have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of Storage in the base variants. The top variant may offer upto 256 GB of storage. The smaller Pixel 3 has a 3000 mAh battery while the larger XL has a 3400 mAh battery.

    OnePlus 6T

The OnePlus 6T is going to launch on October 16 and fans cannot contain their excitement. The upcoming device will see major changes such as the presence if an In-display fingerprint sensor and a water drop notch. A ‘T’ upgrade does not usually see such changes. Upgrades in terms of camera, battery and speed are possible, making the device even more appealing. However, OnePlus has let go of the headphone jack and the decision does not sit well with some fans. But, it is highly improbable that the someone would shun this device over a headphone jack.

The device will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and have 8 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device will have 512 GB of storage as OnePlus does not offer microSD card support with its devices. It has a 6.41 inch Super AMOLED display with a tiny waterdrop notch. The device will run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and has a 3,700 mAh battery.

The OnePlus 6T will launch on October 17.

    Nokia 9 PureView

The Nokia 9 PureView is one of the most unique devices on the list as it sports a penta camera setup, according to report. The penta camera setup is a patented technology, belonging to Zeiss. Additionally, reports say that the Nokia 9 has the PureView tag. The PureView tag indicates a device which is revolutionary in terms of camera performance.

Additionally, the Nokia 9 has a massive 4150 mAh battery and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device has a 6 inch AMOLED display. It runs on the Snapdragon 845 SoC and has 8 GB of RAM. The device has 256 GB of internal storage and an IP68 certification.

    Huawei Mate 20 Pro

With its launch around the corner, Huawei is stirring up curiosity with the Mate 20 Pro. The Mate 20 Pro features a unique triple camera setup design. The design is in a square with the LED flash filling in the last spot in the box. The device will run on the Kirin 980 SoC as announced by Huawei. The Kirin 980 is the next flagship from Huawei and is manufactured by the 7nm process. Huawei claims that the Kirin 980 is faster than Apple’s latest A12 Bionic chip.

The device has a 6.3 inch screen with a tiny, water drop notch. Along with the Kirin 980, it has the Mali G76 MP10 GPU, an AI processing Unit and DDR4 RAM. Under the hood, it has a 4,000 mAh battery . It has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The cameras range from f/1.8 to f/2.4 in terms of aperture and have varying focal lengths from 16 mm to 80 mm.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is set to launch on October 16.

    Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro is set to be the next big thing from Samsung. The device is said to feature a quad camera setup, a first for the company which recently launched the Galaxy A7 with a triple camera. With these devices, it is clear that Samsung is not saving all the best features for its flagship devices and is now focusing on all segments.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro has a 6.28 inch Super AMOLED display. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 512 GB using a microSD card. It packs a 3720 mAh battery. • ‘Top Shot’ Leaked For Google Pixel 3

‘Top Shot’ Leaked For Google Pixel 3

With just a few days to go for the Launch Event, yet another leaks reveals more about the Google Pixel 3. While extensive leaks have already covered the vital specs of the device, this new leak shows off some features of the device. They were spotted in what seems to be a catalogue for Google devices. The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will feature a ‘Top Shot’ feature and a ‘face down’ feature. Also spotted in the same leak is the upcoming Google Home Hub device.

Also Read: New Leak Shows Off Sand Pink Pixel 3 And Pixel 3 XL

The new Top Shot feature in the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL lets you capture the perfect shot every time, according to the leak. The content reads “Capture smiles, not blinks, and take group selfies with everyone.”   What this could possibly mean is that the new feature can detect when you blink, thus taking better selfies. It also would be able to identify smiles. This is probably going to be done through AI integration with the camera.  The group selfie feature also confirms that one out of the two front facing cameras on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be a wide angle lens.

    Specifications

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will have a main 12 MP f /1.8 camera. The devices also have a dual front camera setup. Both the devices will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. The devices  will have a 5.4 inch 2160 x 1080px and 6.71 inch 2960 x 1440px display respectively. Both Pixel devices will have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of Storage in the base variants. However, they may be offered in up to 256GB storage sizes. The smaller standard sized Pixel will be powered by a 3000 mAh battery while the larger XL will get a 3400 mAh battery.

Th catalogue also mentions that you can just flip your Pixel 3 device face down to turn off notifications. This could be one of the features that is included in Google’s Digital Wellbeing program which aims to curb your smartphone addiction. What this feature would do is basically switch your device to Do Not Disturb when you flip it. The feature is called ‘Flip to Shh’. It had already shown up in some of the Beta versions of the Digital Wellbeing program.

    Google Home Hub

The Google Home Hub is a smart display designed to work with Google Assistant. The device is pegged to have a 7 inch screen and ‘crystal clear audio’. The device focuses on getting things done hands free and working with voice search. You can get your commute , calendar, reminders and more on your home screen. It will also enable you to control your lights, cameras, TVs and more utilise the Google assistant to the fullest. Most of these features are available in Alexa enabled devices and the Apple HomePod. While the Hub has an advantage over these devices in terms of a display, pricing is going to be key for Google.

The launch event for Google is set for October 9. It will see the launch of many devices other than the Pixel 3 Smartphones and the Home Hub.

  • Google Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL Leak, Showcasing A New Feature

Google Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL Leak, Showcasing A New Feature

The past few months have been filled with leaks about the Google Pixel 3 and the Google Pixel 3 XL. So much so that we have reached a point where the only thing which is unknown is the price at which these devices will be sold. A few weeks back, a conspiracy theory hinted that these leaks might be fake and the we might encounter an entirely different device.

However, these alleged renders of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL put that theory to rest. The renders claim to be as close as one can get to the real device. We can see that the bigger Pixel 3 XL will sport a notch. Thhe Pixel 3 will continue to have a conventional design with thick bezels on the top and bottom. Earlier leaks have also reported that the devices will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and have 4 GB of RAM. The devices will arrive with Android 9 Pie.

    What’s New:

While most of what the leaks reveal are not new, a user on twitter has pointed out some new features about the display. Apparently, the Google Pixel 3 series has a new type of wallpaper. While these are basically live wallpapers, they are pretty different. They react on the basis of touch, tilts and even turns. Another set takes it a step further. If the device detects music playing, some wallpapers move and react. They event react when the phone is unlocked or a notification comes up. They also change their colour depending on the time of the day, according to the user.

The same user also gave us another bunch of images of the alleged Pixel 3 XL and also pointed out the device has a glass back and a SIM tray at the bottom.

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are set to be launched in a Google event on 9th October. The event will be a joint New York-Paris press conference and will see the launch of a few other Google devices as well.

  • The Google Pixel 3 XL Might Not Be What We Expected: Possible Surprise From Google

The Google Pixel 3 XL Might Not Be What We Expected: Possible Surprise From Google

Over the past month, we saw a series of leaks which seem to have set the entire Google Pixel 3 XL device bare before us. The leaked devices went through tests, photoshoots and even elaborate unboxing videos. Numbers regarding the performance, design and features of the device are all over the internet. But, two recent events have us thinking that the Pixel 3 XL might not be anything close to what we’ve seen in the leaks.

To know about all the Pixel 3 leaks till date: Google Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL -All You Need To Know

    No Bezels, No Notch:

The first incident which hints at such a possibility is a video on YouTube. We know that a YouTube video cannot be a trusted source, but hear us out. The user who uploaded this video has laid out some facts which are worth looking into. To give you a background on the user, he posted a few videos making fun of and hating on the design of the alleged Google Pixel 3 XL. Even after doing so, he received a mail from a Google employee asking for permission to use a part of his video for the purpose of the Google launch event which is coming up in October. It is possible that Google might be playing a montage of such clips right before they launch the completely different Pixel 3 XL.

Spotted on the Android Pie Setup screens in a Pixel 2 device, this Google Device is seemingly bezel-less.

The second reason which adds strength to this crazy theory is a leak by Slashleaks. This recent leak shows us screenshots on a Pixel 2 device with the illustrations of a seemingly bezel less phone. This phone is completely different from the Leaks of the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3XL which we have seen in the past. The leaked Pixel 3 XL has a notched display while the leaked Pixel 3 has a conventional smartphone design with thick bezels. This device has the nickname ‘Ultra Pixel’ and could be the Pixel 3 XL.

    What Does This Mean:

Putting two and two together, we can see good reason for a possible theory emerging. Even though it seems highly unlikely, it is possible that all the leaks of the Pixel devices until now were in fact staged by Google. Think about it, the ‘theft’ of a Google Pixel 3 XL shipment in Russia, a customer ‘accidentally’ leaving behind a Pixel 3 device in a Lyft cab. If you were tasked with testing a device which has still not been revealed, wouldn’t you be careful enough to not leave it behind in a cab? Also, one of the unboxing videos of the alleged Pixel 3 XL is of suspiciously high production quality, which throws open the possibility that Google itself could have purposely ‘leaked’ this video.

A device which is different from the alleged Pixel 3 XL with a notch would be a welcome change. Via Wylsacom

If all this is actually true, we could be witness to a masterstroke by Google in the upcoming event. Google could have been fooling everyone with the notch on the alleged Pixel 3 XL and might have possibly developed the first truly bezel less phone. All this is based on a few possibilities from here and there. The possibility of such a move from Google surely excites us and we’d love to see how this finally ends up.

Google launched the Nexus 6P smartphone on 29th September 2015. Despite the fact that the Nexus line of smartphones did well in the market, Google pulled the plug on the lineup. The very first device in this lineup was the Google Nexus One, manufactured by HTC. After the discontinuation of Nexus, Google launched the Pixel smartphones. The Pixel devices replaced the Nexus devices to become the premium flagship smartphone offered by Google. However, Google still relies on other manufacturers to provide the hardware for the smartphones. The Google Pixel, first in the Pixel line of devices, launched on 20th October 2016 was manufactured by HTC as was the Pixel 2. However, the bigger variant of the Pixel 2, the Pixel 2XL was manufactured by LG. Since the Pixel is fairly new, there is no doubt that Google will release a third Pixel device. A series of images for the Google Pixel 3XL surfaced which gives an idea of how the smartphone may look like.

The Google Pixel 3 could launch on 4th October this year, along with the Google Pixel 3XL. From the images, we can clearly see that Google has embraced the concept of a notch-display. While this may be a good news for some, most other expected Google to take a route which was different, may be pop up cameras. This would have allowed the company to use an almost completely bezel-less display instead of a notch. What is also worth noting is that prior to the White version, which Google likes to call “Clearly White”, photos of the smartphone’s black variant also surfaced. Google calls it, “Just Black”. As was the case with the previous Pixel devices, the Google Pixel 3Xl does not have a headphone jack either.

It also looks like Google could bring face-unlock features with the Google Pixel 3Xl and maybe even the Pixel 3. The images reveal dual front-facing cameras, while the rear camera still has just the one sensor. The Pixel 2 series had a similar setup for the main camera yet it was one of the best performing smartphone camera of 2017. Google emphasized on AI capabilities and features of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL. We expect that the Google Pixel 3 will also be marketed as a feature-packed AI smartphone.

Thanks to a completely stock version of the OS, Pixel smartphones are among the first to receive the latest Android updates. We expect the trend to continue with the Google Pixel 3XL and the Pixel 3 as well. Once the smartphone launches we’ll take a closer look at how it performs especially in the camera segment. Judging by the pricing of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2Xl, we expect the Pixel 3 series to also come at a hefty price point. Stay tuned for further updates for the Pixel 3 series.

  • Google Pixel 3 XL Renders Reveal A Thick Chin, A Notch And Colourful Power Buttons

Google Pixel 3 XL Renders Reveal A Thick Chin, A Notch And Colourful Power Buttons

With a few major smartphone launches of 2018 done and dusted, we are now looking forward to three more. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note9 in August followed by Apple hosting its annual launch event in September. In October, Google will launch the Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL. The Pixel 3 XL has been in the news recently and new renders of the device reveal its design and the possible colour variants it’ll be available in.

Rumours of the Pixel 3 devices sporting a notch revved up after the first developer’s preview of Android P rolled out. Many believed that Google adding support for a notch is a hint at the fact that its own smartphone lineup will adopt the design. It now seems more and more likely that the Pixel 3 XL, at least, will sport a notch. The smaller Pixel 3 will have an 18:9 aspect ratio and uniform bezels.

The new renders showcase a not-so-impressive design of the Pixel 3 XL. Again, this is subjective and some people might love the design. While the notch itself is no longer an issue as so many Android devices now sport it, the chin is. According to the renders, Google would want to retain the dual front-facing speakers (one of the few impressive features of Pixel 2 devices). With that, the company will also have to maintain a rather thick chin. With a notch, a thick chin feels redundant and not the smartest design decision.

The back of the Google Pixel 3 XL, as rumoured, will be made of glass. This means the flagship smartphones will finally incorporate wireless charging. However, the company will maintain the dual shade design on the back which is definitely a stand-out feature among the more and more generic-looking flagship smartphones. The power buttons are also colourful, something we saw with last year’s Pixel devices as well.

The notch on the Pixel 3 XL is interesting for many reasons. Apart from it being a result of definite inspiration from Apple, it could house a dual-camera setup. Google famously claimed that its software does the job and it won’t require a dual-camera setup, unlike many other smartphones. However, things might change with the Pixel 3 XL. It is possible that the second lens could be a 3D sensor for facial recognition, in which case, nobody would complain about the notch.

It is still early days for concrete Pixel 3 rumours but, these renders do look close to what might be the final product.

  • Google Pixel 3 Notch Revealed In Leaked Image Of A Screen Protector

Google Pixel 3 Notch Revealed In Leaked Image Of A Screen Protector

Google launched the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in October 2017. The Pixel 2 XL was the modern-looking sibling of the two while the smaller Pixel 2 retained a 16:9 aspect ratio. With the Pixel 3 lineup, there have been rumours that Google will embrace the notch. These rumours gained weightage recently when Google introduced support for notch with Android P developer’s preview. According to a leaked image of the Pixel 3 XL screen protector, Google is indeed planning to go the notch route.

A sketchy-looking leaked image of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL screen protectors has surfaced online. The image reveals that both the smartphones will have front-facing stereo speakers, something we saw on the Pixel 2 devices as well. However, the more interesting bit is that the Pixel 3 XL will sport a notch similar to the OnePlus 6 and Huawei P20 Pro.

The chin appears to be prominent as well which might not go down well with consumers. The iPhone X showed us that having a notch means you can reduce the size of the the other three bezels considerably. Having a notch and a chin aesthetically as well, does not look that great. However, at least the chin will solve a purpose here as it will house a speaker. Google Pixel 2 lineup had great sounding speakers and we expect Google to build up on that.

The Pixel 3 will also get an upgrade to an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone won’t sport a notch but, it will have a relatively thick forehead which will house a front-facing speaker. The chin appears to be of the same size as the Pixel 3 XL. Apart from the size, the main differences between the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be in the display type and battery size.

The Google Pixel 2 lineup, despite their great camera performance, was marred by a plethora of hardware issues. With the Pixel 3 lineup, Google would want to rectify that and launch two impressive flagship smartphones.

  • Mid-Range Google Pixel To Launch In India Soon

Mid-Range Google Pixel To Launch In India Soon

Google Pixel series of smartphones are known for their unprecedented camera capabilities. However, unlike Moto or Xiaomi smartphones, the Pixel devices retail at a higher price tag. Google is now targeting markets like India, which has a huge demand for smartphones priced between Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000. According to a report, Google is planning to launch an Indian market specific device in July-August, which includes an affordable Pixel smartphone, Pixelbook and Nest devices. Additionally, the company will launch the Pixel 3 series of smartphones by Diwali.

If we look at the numbers, Google sold 3.9 million Pixel smartphones globally in 2017 while Apple sold 214.9 million devices. The existence of offline stores and affordable iPhone models like the iPhone SE has helped Apple to achieve these sale figures. Additionally, Google is still new to the hardware game and Apple has already established itself as a premium brand.

According to a report, Google will launch the mid-range Google Pixel smartphone and a Pixelbook in India by August 2018. However, the report does not specify the pricing or specifications of these devices. Along with these, the company might also launch the Nest series of smart home accessories. The Nest series of accessories comprises a thermostat and other smart home accessories.

Google will begin this launch by announcing the Google Home products. The company will launch the Google Home and Home Mini to take on the competition like the Amazon Echo speakers. The Home mini will retail for Rs 4,499 and the Home will retail at Rs 9,999. This time around, the company will focus on the offline market through brick and mortar stores. This means Google is most likely to set up stores in crowded places like malls and electronics stores.
